I kinda agree with a lot of what idle-teen28 said, like Al' work outside of the 70's often being forgotten about and how he absolutely deserved an Oscar for Scent of a Woman, he doesn't get enough credit for his acting in that movie.
The three movies of his from the 70's that I still rewatch are Dog Day Afternoon, And Justice for All and Scarecrow, that's it. I sometimes watch part of the Godfather movies on youtube but I never watch the full movies because they are too long and slow. However, I do think Al plays Michael brillantly.
I get that people have their own personal favorites of his films and that's great but sometimes I do feel like saying 'you know Al has made movies outside of the Godfather, right?" It can get a bit frustrating that those are the only movies people seem to care about sometimes.
I like his weird and out there characters the most so Tony Montana is my favorite and I also love Vincent Hanna. They're such wildcards, you never know what crazy stuff they will do/say next and I love that in characters. Frank Slade is another character that fits this. But I also love his sweet characters a lot, like Lion, Sonny and Arthur.
I know I'm just rambling now with no real point in what I'm saying, sorry.
Don't apologize, I love hearing these kinds of analyses from you guys!! 🥰❤️ I think Al honestly such such a profound legacy in the '70s that it overpowered and still overpowers just about everything. 😭 At the worst, filmbros only know of The Godfather and Scarface, but I feel like most people know at least 2 more films Al has made besides that. Bonus points if it wasn't filmed in the '70s lmao.
I don't have time to watch The Godfather films either 🥲 I definitely do when I'm travelling so I always give the first and second a rewatch back to back, but I'm just like you in rewatching my favourite scenes or clips bit by bit and finishing the film over time!
Al is a phenomenal actor and I'd only argue his films Jack and Jill (lmao) and The Godfather Part III were shit. I mean, Jack and Jill is somewhat funny 💀 but still, it's like... Cursed. 😂 And to be honest, Al wasn't acting as Michael Corleone or a "redeemed" and guilty Michael Corleone in Part III either. I don't know what that was but to me it seemed like he was being himself or some other character personality altogether because it had zero remnants of Michael Corleone whatsoever. I think his acting in Part III from the clips I have seen is absolutely God awful. 😶
Lion, Sonny and Arthur have such special spots in my heart. 🥺❤️ I carry those three sweet little dudes in my blorbo backpack all day, everyday!!

Heidi Schlumpf at National Catholic Reporter:
EWTN founder Mother Angelica had a clever saying to remind viewers to mail their donations in support of her growing network: "Keep us between your gas and electric bill."
Although it sounds dated in an era of online bill-paying, surely, thousands, if not millions, of viewers over the years have sent in their hard-earned money to contribute to what has become the largest religious network in the world. But as essential as these smaller donors have been to EWTN's success, they pale in comparison to the contributions of a smaller number of wealthy contributors — individuals and organizations — whose financial support correlates with the pro-Republican and anti-Francis editorial direction of the network’s programming and news coverage.
Although Mother Angelica and her order initially sold everything from fishing lures to peanuts to cassette tapes of her talks to raise money for their ministries, the nun with a head for business seems to have successfully connected with deeper pockets early on.
A biography of Mother Angelica written by EWTN anchor Raymond Arroyo provides some insight into her early financial strategy, which she termed "a theology of risk" that involved trusting that God will provide. EWTN started its first year "more than a million dollars in debt and facing operating expenses of $1.5 million a year," according to "Mother Angelica: The Remarkable Story of a Nun, Her Nerve, and a Network of Miracles."
[...]
The ACI group is now part of EWTN News Inc., a separate entity that also includes the National Catholic Register newspaper (which EWTN acquired in 2011 from the Legion of Christ), ChurchPop (a "Christian culture brand"), the D.C. News Production group and EWTN's Vatican Bureau as well as news shows such as "EWTN News Nightly," "The World Over," "EWTN Pro-Life Weekly" and "Force for Good" (a business-themed show that is a co-production with Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America).
EWTN News Inc. had $4.5 million in revenue in 2016, with total assets of $1.1 million. Because of expenses, it operated at a $6 million loss that year, however.
EWTN Publishing — a partnership with Sophia Institute Press— also is a separate entity, with its 2016 tax documents showing $153,000 in income and total assets of $291,000.
EWTN Religious Catalogue Inc. had an additional $3.1 million in revenue in 2016, total assets of $1.8 million and $1.5 million in salaries for its 40 employees.
The catalogue company sells books, DVDs, statues, art, rosaries, crucifixes, jewelry and other specialty items, such as Sts. Peter and Paul bookends, and a choice of a dozen different chapel veils for women and a "Man of Strength" pottery mug for men. A monstrance pendant and Infant of Prague statues are listed under "Mother's favorites," while a single-decade rosary bracelet with a diamond chip will put buyers back $995.
Other EWTN assets include trusts and endowments, such as the Sebastian Paul Long Testamentary Trust ($1.1 million), the Failla Endowment ($1.8 million), the Harnischfeger Trust ($981,000) and others, for a total of more than $4 million, according to 2016 tax documents.
Current tax documents also reveal EWTN's own charitable giving, with its most sizeable grants going to the religious orders and institutions founded by Mother Angelica. EWTN gives about $300,000 a year to the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, Alabama, home of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the cloistered Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration. The order of priests and brothers, the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word, also founded by Mother Angelica, receives another $150,000 or more per year from EWTN.
Other donations from EWTN indicate an ideological slant. They include $8,000 in 2016 to the neoconservative think tank Project for the New American Century, $7,500 in 2016 to Young Catholic Professionals, and $10,000 in 2017 to the Susan B. Anthony List, an anti-abortion group that heavily supports Republican politicians.
In 2016, EWTN donated $7,500 to the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which represented the Little Sisters of the Poor in their fight against accommodations regarding the contraceptive mandate in the Affordable Care Act.
Generous contributors
Where does EWTN get the money to operate all these entities? Since it provides much of its programming for free, a substantial portion of its income comes from contributions, both from foundations and individuals, according to documents summarizing charitable gifts to the organization.
The Knights of Columbus, which supports a number of conservative Catholic causes, gave $1.25 million to EWTN in 2014, specifically to sponsor its news show. It gave two more gifts of $250,000 each in 2015, according to NCR reporting.

EWTN’s rise from piety to pro-GOP partisanship
National Catholic Reporter's latest report examines the money trail that paved the way for EWTN's drive to the right and how wealthy donors influenced the channel as far back as the 1980s.
A sizable portion of EWTN's charitable grants goes towards religious orders very closely tied to Mother Angelica, the deceased foundress of the network: The Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration (PCPA) and the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word (MFVA)-- the latter of which is heavily involved in the channel's televised Daily Mass and other programming aired on EWTN.
The channel also gives out donations to right-wing groups such as the Becket Fund and Susan B. Anthony List.
Also, the Knights of Columbus is a major donor to EWTN, which sponsors the channel's nightly news show EWTN News Nightly.

Project X Zone series English Dub hypothetical cast
Look below the cut, this got kinda long... n__n; Please note that I’m only listing the ones that have had official English dub voices.
Project X Zone
Yuri Lowell: Troy Baker Estellise Sidos Heurassein: Eden Riegel or Cherami Leigh? (Riegel provided Estelle’s dub voice in the Tales of Vesperia game(s), while Leigh dubbed her in the movie, The First Strike) Flynn Scifo: Sam Riegel Jin Kazama: Brad Swaile (Street Fighter x Tekken English voice) Ling Xiaoyu: Carrie Keranen (Tekken: Blood Vengeance English voice) Heihachi Mishima: Jamieson Price (Blood Vengeance and SFxT English voice) Alisa Bosconovitch: Cristina Valenzuela or Michele Knotz? (Blood Vengeance and SFxT voices, respectively) KOS-MOS: Bridget Hoffman or Luci Christian? (Hoffman voiced her in Xenosaga Episodes I and III; Christian voiced her in Xenosaga: The Animation) T-elos: see above (Bridget Hoffman voiced both KOS-MOS and T-elos in Episode III, so it would only make sense if Luci got to take a crack at T-elos when she also voiced KOS-MOS.) Kite: Mona Marshall BlackRose: Wendee Lee Soma Schicksal: Yuri Lowenthal or Crispin Freeman? (I haven’t gotten to hear much, if any, of either voice yet...) Alisa Ilinichina Amiella: Kate Higgins or Cherami Leigh? (Same case as Soma...) Lindow Amamiya: Kyle Hebert Neneko: Luci Christian (She voiced Neneko in the English dub of the Yumeria anime, but she didn’t sound like a little girl, which Neneko seems like she is supposed to be. She may have to use a “little girl” voice for Neneko.) Neito: Tiffany Salinas? (TBH, I didn’t see much of the Yumeria anime, and even less of Salinas’s performance in the English dub. What little I have seen seems acceptable, but I’m honestly a bit afraid to watch the anime for myself... ‘Course, I’m kind of a coward, so... ;v; ) Selvaria Bles: April Stewart Sakura Shinguji: Wendee Lee Ichiro Ogami: Dave Wittenberg Gemini Sunrise: Laura Bailey Erica Fontaine: Caitlin Glass? (She voiced Erica in the dub of the anime Sakura Wars: School of Paris, and that was the only time Erica Fontaine was dubbed.) Toma: Nick Tagas Cyrille: Erin M. Cahill Riemsianne La Vaes: Amy Provenzano Zephyr: Scott Menville Leanne: Jessica DiCicco Vashyron: Nolan North Bruno Delinger: (No official English voice, but I picture him being dubbed by the celebrity he resembles, Bruce Willis. XD If not him, then someone who can convincingly sound like him.) Ulala: Cherami Leigh (I would say Apollo Smile, but she has retired from voice acting. : ( ) Mega Man X: Mark Gatha (Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X - The Day of Sigma) Zero: Lucas Gilbertson Tron Bonne: Caroly Larson; failing that, Tara Platt Servbots: Elizabeth Hanna or...whoever voiced them in Marvel vs. Capcom 3? Vile: Roger Rhodes? Ryu: Kyle Hebert? Ken Masters: Reuben Langdon Chun-Li: Laura Bailey Juri: Jessica Straus Seth: Michael McConnohie Chris Redfield: Roger Craig Smith Jill Valentine: Patricia Ja Lee Dante: Reuben Langdon Lady: Kari Wahlgren Morrigan Aensland: Kathleen Barr or Siobhan Flynn? (Barr voiced Morrigan in the anime Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, while Flynn provided her English voice in Marvel vs Capcom 3. Barr nailed the range of emotions, and Flynn had a genuine Scottish accent (Morrigan apparently originated in Scotland). Makes it hard to decide...) Demitri Maximoff: Paul Dobson (Darkstalkers’ Revenge voice) Hsien-Ko: Nicole Oliver Lord Raptor: Scott McNeil Jedah Dohma: Travis Willingham or David Kaye? Aura: Lia Sargent Iris: Michelle Gazepis? (I have no idea what the quality of the voice acting was in Mega Man X4...) Frank West: TJ Rotolo Arthur: Daniel Woren
Project X Zone 2
Leon S. Kennedy: Paul Mercier or Matthew Mercer? Ada Wong: Sally Cahill or Jolene Andersen? Off-Beat Capcom Vs. Games - Tatsunoko vs. Capcom / Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
youtube
When it comes to the fighting game genre, Capcom has always been the leader of the pack. Street Fighter II was the original competitive fighting game that sucked players off of their home consoles and back into arcades, creating a truly unique experience that can’t be replicated at home. The popularity of Capcom’s fighting games offered the opportunity to take the genre to strange new places.
Aside from fighting games, Capcom was also known for their licensed games featuring characters from both The Walt Disney Company and Marvel Comics, among others. This lead Capcom to create fighting games based on Marvel’s superheroes, including a game exclusively based on the X-Men. With this in mind, Capcom decided to mix their homemade chocolate with the licensed peanut butter, resulting in the Capcom Vs. series.
X-Men vs. Street Fighter would be the first title, followed by Marvel vs. Capcom and Capcom vs. SNK. These games were designed to be more accessible to casual players, while still being a deeply enjoyable experience for veterans. Not every Vs. game would be a smash hit within the genre, though.
Today we’re going to take a look at two offbeat titles in the Vs. series. Neither were obscure on release, but neither would be remembered in the same way fans remember Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or Capcom vs. SNK 2. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite aren’t bad games in the slightest, quite the opposite in fact, but for a variety of reasons we’re going to explore they both unarguably deserve the title of “Offbeat Capcom Vs. Games.”
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Let’s not bury the lead here, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is one of the wildest ideas for a mainstream video game and it’s a miracle the game even exists. Released exclusively in Japan for the Wii and in arcades, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was the result of a request from famed animation studio Tatsunoko Production for Capcom to make a game based on their properties. The game was made alongside Street Fighter IV, which was designed for core players, in order to help bring back the fighting game genre after several years of absence.
For those who weren’t kids in Japan in the 1960’s, Tatsunoko Production is an animation studio that could be considered Japan’s answer to Hanna-Barbera. Famous for series like Speed Racer, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and Samurai Pizza Cats, Tatsunoko is a company known for its varying genres.
To the Japanese audience the game was intended for, the mash-up makes sense. Yeah, a few of the characters included are goofy and silly, but that’s an aspect that the Vs. series has always been known for. Tatsunoko have earned their bona fides in the action genre, and the likes of Ken the Eagle, Tekkaman, and Karas prove that this game is no joke.
So, if this game is so Japancentric, why did they release it overseas? Well, there was originally no plan to release it outside of Japan. Licensing issues as well as the general obscurity of the Tatsunoko characters made the title a localization nightmare. It was because of the fan community’s demands for the game that Capcom put forth to release an international version of the game featuring 5 new characters called Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.
All the Capcom characters, obviously, belonged to Capcom and thus weren’t an issue. The Tatsunoko characters, on the other hand, proved a challenge. In Japan, Tatsunoko Production outright owned all of the characters that appeared in the game, but in North America and Europe the properties had been licensed out to several different companies for localization. For example, in America Science Ninja Team Gatchaman was adapted three times: by Sandy Frank Entertainment as Battle of the Planets in 1978, by Sandy Frank and Turner Entertainment as G-Force: Guardians of Space in 1986, and by Saban Entertainment as Eagle Riders in 1996.
Another issue was public awareness of Tatsunoko characters, as virtually none of the characters included were well known around the time of the game’s release. Capcom had asked the fans which characters they would like to see added to the game for the international release, but for unknown reasons were unable to add the two most requested franchises: Speed Racer and Samurai Pizza Cats. Adding to the frustration, the character of Hakushon Daimao, one of the games few grapplers, was removed due to licensing issues that couldn’t be resolved. The character wasn’t particularly well received in the original release, but his exclusion is still a notable example of the logistical nightmare localization can be.
The Capcom side of the roster was an interesting mix of characters not previously seen in any Vs. titles. Series staples such as Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Roll from Mega Man, as well as Morrigan from Darkstalkers return. Newcomers include Alex from Street Fighter III, Mega Man Volnutt from Mega Man Legends, and Batsu from Rival Schools. Frank West, Viewtiful Joe, and Zero would all return with similar move sets in Marvel vs Capcom 3 in 2011.
Differences between the original release and the updated international version are minimal outside of the added characters and some quality of life changes, but some things were curiously replaced or removed all together. The original game included fully animated endings for each character, with animation provided by Tatsunoko Production naturally, as well as character specific mini-games.
The international version replaces all of the endings with slideshows featuring artwork from Udon, who would go on to do similar story sequences for Street Fighter IV and V. The original also featured individual character theme songs similar to Marvel vs. Capcom, while the international version replaces these character themes for generic themes specific for each stage.
Due to time and budget constraints, the mini-games included with the original game were replaced with one single mini-game, Ultimate All-Shooters, based on PTX-40A’s mini-game. The end credits feature a semi-mini-game where you collect letters spelling out “Thank You For Playing” as Doronjo and her lackeys, or if you beat the arcade mode as Roll you fly through the credits as Roll on her broom to an updated version of her theme song from Rockman: Battle & Chase. Fun fact, Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono originally composed Roll’s theme.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a fun, casual-leaning fighting game that worked well as a companion piece to Street Fighter IV upon its release. It was also a great way to introduce Western audiences to famous Japanese characters they either didn’t know or had forgotten about. Due to the licensing issues surrounding the Tatsunoko brand, a remaster or sequel is incredibly unlikely, but in a way that’s okay. It's not the most necessary game in the Vs. series, and with time it’ll be known as one of the lost treasures of the Wii.
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite
Ok, ok, I know what you’re gonna say. “Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite just came out, how is it off-beat?” Well, let’s explore that. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was a surprise announcement in December 2016 and was released less than a year later in September 2017. The first Capcom produced Marvel game since 2011’s Marvel vs Capcom 3, the game wasn’t particularly well received by fans and critics alike.
After the release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Disney decided to pull the Marvel license from Capcom and focus on producing their own games in-house. After this plan didn’t work out so well for the House of Mouse, they decided to go back to licensing their properties. Capcom was approached about doing another Marvel vs. Capcom game, and they accepted the deal.
The Marvel side of the game was largely inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which had gained considerable traction since the release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The game’s visuals steered more toward photo-realism rather than the previous game’s more comic book inspired art style. This artistic decision wound up hurting the game, as certain characters (specifically on the Capcom side) wound up looking incredibly ugly. The Marvel side looks like their movie counterparts, save for Captain America who looks like a Rob Liefeld nightmare.
One major addition to the game, a first for the Vs. series, was the game’s cinematic story mode. Similar to the story modes found in Mortal Kombat or Injustice, the player is lead through an immersive story that finds the Marvel and Capcom characters at the center of a plot to converge both universes. Ultron, the robotic villain from the Marvel Universe, becomes best pals with Sigma, the reploid (robotic) villain from the Capcom Universe, and with the power of two of the Infinity Stones become Ultron Sigma.
The plot is completely original, with inspiration taken from the numerous Infinity Stone stories. The Avengers team up with a hodge-podge of Capcom leftovers from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Spencer from 2009’s Bionic Commando? Really?) in order to stop Ultron Sigma and fix their respective universes.
The premise is hokey, but the execution is surprisingly well done. Seeing Iron Man crack jokes with Dante from Devil May Cry made me ugly laugh. The story mode is 100% reliant on the character interactions and making this new converged universe believable. Another highlight is Rocket Raccoon trying to ask X about his buster, possibly a nod to a running joke in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies where Rocket is constantly trying to take people’s artificial limbs.
The game isn’t all fun and smiles though, it’s time to address the elephant in the room. There’s a big gaping hole in the character roster that’s immediately noticeable to long-time fans of the series. Since Capcom first started making Vs. titles, the X-Men have been a focal point of the series. X-Men Vs. Street Fighter was the first game in the series, followed by Marvel vs. Capcom, so fans were disappointed to find out that no mutants would be appearing in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. You see, Fox owns the movie rights to the X-Men characters, and Marvel has had a long running feud with them because of this. Since Disney purchased Marvel they’ve been less inclined to feature the X-Men in any major licensed media, as it would essentially be free advertising for the competition.
Wolverine, Storm, Sentinel, Magneto, and Deadpool were popular characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, so their exclusion from the roster was painful for fans. From a business perspective, it makes sense for Marvel to avoid advertising Fox’s X-Men movies, but it was a significant loss for longtime fans who’ve been with the series since the 90’s.
Frankly speaking, the Capcom characters felt irrelevant all together. Most of the characters were carryovers from Marvel vs Capcom 3. Ryu, Chun-Li, Morrigan, Dante, Spencer, Mike Haggar, Arthur, Chris Redfield, Zero, Firebrand, Frank West, Nemesis, and Strider Hiryu all return from Marvel vs. Capcom 3, with only X, Sigma, Jedah, and Monster Hunter being new characters.
Infinite feels like it would’ve been better off as a remake of Marvel Super Heroes, nixing the Capcom side of the roster all together. The game already functions as a giant commercial for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, so it would’ve made sense for Capcom to skip the Vs. aspect all together. Maybe offer some Capcom characters as DLC, but the main game should’ve focused entirely on the Marvel side.
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is a severely underrated game that unfortunately didn’t offer much for core fighting game fans. Coincidentally, at E3 2017 a new game in the long running Dragon Ball series was announced that drew inspiration from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Dragon Ball FighterZ’s announcement was the final nail in the coffin for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, especially when it was announced that FighterZ would be featured at EVO 2018 instead of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
For fans of both Marvel and Capcom, Infinite is definitely worth checking out. The story mode can be cleared in 4 hours and is worth playing through on a rainy day. For die-hard fighting game fans, you might as well just buy Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, since it was re-released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC when Infinite was announced.
While Capcom’s fighting games have always been deadly serious when it comes to gameplay, they’ve also had a tinge of humor and fun to them. The Vs. series takes that fun and silliness and dials it up to eleven. Though licensing issues may make it difficult for gamers to play a lot of the Vs. games, especially ones like Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom that are trapped on a single console, they’re always worth scoping out.
Marvel might be a household name, but with how often Capcom loses the rights to make Marvel games it seems it might be a mystery when or if the next one ever happens. It’s possible that Disney might not let them make another after Infinite’s performance, but who knows. Nobody expected Capcom to ever re-release Marvel vs. Capcom 2 after they lost the rights in the early 2000’s, but the game got a re-release in 2009 followed by the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in 2010. At this point, anything’s possible.

2018 INKWELL AWARDS VOTING RESULTS
(New Bedford, MA/USA—June 17, 2018) The Inkwell Awards released the list of winners of its 11th annual awards for excellence in the art form of comic-book inking. Nominees were again chosen by a separate and independent nomination committee. This year featured the greatest number of nominees, including female inkers in three of the five categories. Voting by professionals and fans took place in April via live ballot at the non-profit advocacy’s website. One winner was chosen in each of five categories based on American interior comic-book work cover-dated 2017.
Separately, the Inkwells selected internally the two recipients of the annual Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame Award and one recipient for the Stacey Aragon Special Recognition Award (SASRA). Winners were contacted and many of the invited guests were present to receive their trophies during North Carolina’s HeroesCon, the host show for the Inkwells. Winners are listed with their nominated credits and the percentage of votes received, where applicable.

“I was thrilled to hear that two very fine inkers were selected for induction into the Inkwell Awards Hall of Fame for 2018,” said Joe Sinnott, the award’s namesake and first recipient. “Both Joe and Bob have previous ties to the Inkwells, Bob being the keynote speaker at their awards ceremony at HeroesCon in 2012, and Joe being the Guest of Honor at the 2017 ceremony. It is with great pride that we honor these two excellent ink artists into the Inkwell Awards family as 2018 recipients of the Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame Award. Congratulations, fellas, on jobs, and careers, well done!”
The live awards ceremony began with a special appearance by guest of honor and industry legend Mike Royer, who discussed the art form of comic-book inking, his career in the medium, and its artists. Inkwell Awards founder and director Bob Almond acted as ceremony host. He was joined by hostess and spokesmodel “Ms. Inkwell,” as portrayed by both Hailey Skaza-Gagne and 2011 spokesmodel Kathy Denise Taylor. Artist and Inkwell Contributor Dan Panosian presented the five main awards. Artist and Inkwell Ambassador Pat Broderick presented the Hall of Fame and SASRA awards.
In celebration of the non-profit’s 10th anniversary, Almond created the Above & Beyond Award for those organization members who have performed exceptionally (or others in the community who have made special efforts to advance the art form of inking). These went to:
–Hailey Skaza-Gagne, the longest-running Ms. Inkwell spokesmodel, who has appeared at four straight Heroes conventions and attended 21 consecutive events, raised thousands of dollars in fundraising, all the while expanding her duties to include public speaking and moderating panels.
–Robert Haines, the first person to serve on the nomination committee for 10 consecutive years since it began.
–Mark Sinnott, who has been a Senior Inkwell Contributor for a decade, acting as the liaison between the Inkwells and his father, Joe. “Without Mark’s generosity and diligence,” Almond said, “there would certainly not be nearly as many achievements nor funds raised for the organization–successes which allowed us to reach 10 years of operations and altruism.”
Almond also awarded “Silver Inkwells” to three nomination committee members who participated in five years of service: Matt Herring, Tony Parker and Rik Offenberger.
Thanks to the following people for their generous cooperation: Stephen Wyatt, Jeffrey Harnett and Pat McGrealy.
Full acceptance statements from the winners can be found in the “Results” section of the Inkwell Awards’ website.
