I’m thinking they were a mortal, long ago! But they sold their soul to a demon in exchange for limitless wealth and immortality. Of course, as all such things do, it came at a price. They lost almost all of their humanity and must now consume the life essence of others to remain youthful and strong… and they must keep their left hand covered at all times to keep from destroying whatever they touch.

Fun fact: this is one of my very favorite character designs! But they also happen to be one that I find REALLY HARD to draw consistently!!!

Finally, two days later, on the final mountain stage of the Tour at Morzine, Pantani launched not just an attack on the first of five passes on the route but something he hoped could turn into a revolution – setting out to overturn his nine-minute deficite on general classification and overthrow Armstrong.
