Imagine sacrificing 500 years worth of human life to save people you barely even know, sacrificing your divinity in order save those said people from an unstoppable prophecy, giving up your wants and needs as a human in those 500 years, not mentioning that you are suffering alone with no assurance as to whether the facade you put up would be successful, only to be called a bratty teenager/kid by people who haven't touched grass or have any real social life, just because you are short and flat.

You are not Furina

“No,” another lie which she unwillingly accepted.  Her suspicions about him did not matter. Right now, all she wanted was him. So she claimed him. Focalors captured his lips—lips that once worshiped his Furina, the Furina who never and will never exist in this universe. She was delightfully stunned when he reciprocated her kiss, practiced lips greedily having their way with hers after being deprived for centuries of sensuous and loving touches. Arms circled around his neck and legs wrapped around his waist, locking him. Guttural groans were muffled by kisses as an ungloved hand slid underneath her dress, caressing her thighs until fingers brushed against the skin covered by her lacy panties, the warmth of her core urging him to trespass into her most sacred domain. She is not Furina. That voice inside his head reminded him again as he touched her wet outer folds with his fingers before thrusting them into her heat. She is not Furina. A warning as he ripped off her underwear and his hands began to fumble with his pants. She is not Furina. An admonition drowned by the chanting of his name in between lewd moans as he ravaged her passionately on his desk. Every thrust, every kiss, every whisper and murmur of her name, despite his body screaming in intense carnal pleasure, felt like sin.

A scene from my neuvifoca fic, "You Are Not Furina", an au where Neuvillette (from a post-canon era where he ends up with Furina) gets mysteriously transported to an alternate timeline where Egeria never died and Furina, the humanity of the Hydro Archon, never existed. Then he meets Focalors, the Hydro Archon Egeria's most faithful follower, who invites him to come to Fontaine and serve as Iudex.

Personally, I think this is the best scene I've written (I'm referring to the prose and not the scene itself). I can only hope and practice that I improve with time.

Anyway, the idea for this au came to mind when I was chatting with a moot on twt. I can't remember exactly what we were talking about but I think they vaguely requested I write a story like this.

I also remembered someone leaving a comment on this fic saying I write a Furina version where she ends up in an alternate timeline where she meets a different version of Neuvillette. I'll get to that soon (hopefully) 😅

Neuvillette now canonically being the one giving out Hydro visions (referred to as "parts of him") and having full control over Pneumousia while Furina's newly acquired vision has dragon teeth-like clamps over the Vision gem and is the only Pneumousia vision and likely the first Vision Neuvillette ever granted since getting his dragon's authority back
