in wildflower when joon says “my two feet stand on this ground, with flowers that don’t even have names, i can’t go up to the stars again” the symbolism is incredible 🥺

he’s a star that’s always put up on a pedestal by the public and the fact that he tries so hard to ground himself despite that is so noteworthy since it’s such a mental battle

my favorite is when he contrasts it to flowers that don’t have names - flowers and stars are equally beautiful parts of nature. but what sets them so apart is how much more stars/planets are valued since they’re given specific names - an indicator of fame. while joon is a famous figure, he wants to be a flower - still beautiful and admired, but not as high up and grandiose as what’s above. he doesn’t want that burden.

In questo brano, Namjoon esprime il desiderio di vivere una vita serena ed anonima come un fiore di campo (들꽃/deulkkot) piuttosto che una prorompente ma illusoria come un fuoco d'artificio (불꽃놀이/ bulkkotnori), cantando dei dubbi e sfide personali che sorgono da questo proposito, dato il suo status.

Il titolo originale coreano “들꽃놀이” (deulkkotnori / fiori d'artificio) è un gioco di parole/termine inventato da RM, e sostituisce 'fiore selvatico (들꽃/deulkkot)' al composto 불꽃 ('fiore di fuoco/bulkkot) da cui ha origine il termine 'fuochi d'artificio (불꽃놀이/bulkkotnori)'.

Io lo tradurrò con "Fiore d'artificio", n.d.t.

RM (Namjoon)’s new music video Wildflower is SO BEAUTIFUL! He talks about burnout and the stress of fame, and being fireworks, but sometimes he wants to be something simpler and quieter and smaller, a flowerwork (which is what the Korean title means). He said in an interview that BTS is fireworks, but his solo music can be flowerworks, like throwing petals into the sky and watching them flutter down. I love him and his mind and his music so much.
