something I haven’t talked about on this blog is the evolution of Flossie’s design: top image drawn in 2014 - middle was her design up until about 2017 (though this was drawn in 2019) - bottom is her final design

originally, she wasn’t a hippogryph/gryphon hybrid. she was some sort of cloud dragon variant that got scrapped pretty early on in ttfv’s development but I think it’s kinda interesting how her markings and colors have almost stayed the same over these 6 years. tbh I think her middle phase design is still cute but she just felt too out of place to keep like that, so I finally decided to make her a hybrid which in the end gave her much more opportunities to bond with Ben, who is also a hybrid, in the story
