Hiii can I get a spencer x reader smut where spencer just goes feral for reader when he sees her in a skimpy two piece swimsuit
this was supposed to be just a little drabble to get me used to writing for criminal minds, but here we are at 1k+ words so enjoy 🫶🏻
warnings: SMUT (18+), MDNI, sub!spencer, fem!reader, reader wears a bikini but there’s no body descriptors, heavy petting, cunnilingus, unprotected sex, spencer doesn’t understand the concept of a quickie
-
You didn’t know what had gotten into Spencer, and to be completely honest, Spencer didn’t either.
The relationship between you two was still fairly new, but you’ve had the opportunity to explore each other before. Maybe that’s what drove Spencer insane so quickly–knowing exactly what was under the triangles of fabric barely covering your most precious parts.
A pool day at Rossi’s seemed like the perfect solution to the sweltering Virginia heat, but even the water was doing little to cool Spencer down.
He’s just glad the depth of the pool was hiding his lower half, because the second you stepped onto the patio, every inch of bare skin glowing in the sun, his poor swim trunks were no match for the size his cock grew to in record time.
Spencer feel like he blacked out, trying to play it cool enough to make it out of the pool without anyone noticing his issue one second, and the next you were both in one of Rossi’s guest bathrooms, his large hands pawing and at your body like an animal.
“Spencer!” You gasp, trying to keep him at bay, which is difficult when his tongue is down your throat and you can feel his erection against you.
The man whines into your mouth, letting his hands slip under your top. His palms against your hardened nipples almost made you forget what you were going to say, a choked moan escaping your lips.
You’re finally able to get your hands on his cheeks, forcing his face away from yours. “Baby,” You pant, paired with a breathless giggle. “What’s gotten into you?”
He doesn’t answer right away, to busy pressing kisses against your neck, his hands still fondling your chest like it was his first time all over again. “I’m sorry,” He whines. You feel him rut against your leg, and you can feel the arousal pool into your bottoms. “I can’t help it. You just look so beautiful.”
You can’t help the grin that spreads across your face. “Aw, is that right? You got so hard just looking at me in a bikini, you had to take me right now?” The condescending tone you adapt goes straight to Spencer’s cock. You two hadn’t yet explore different roles in the bedroom, but he had a feeling these would stick. He moans into your neck, his hands switching from fondling to twisting your nipped between his fingers.
“Yeah, yes,” He nods enthusiastically, only growing harder at the signs of pleasure you display.
You press your lips against his, this time more in control now that you’re not caught off guard. “Okay, sweetheart. I’ll give you what you want. But we have to be quick okay? Before anyone comes looking for us.” Your voice is low and sultry as you speak, your own hands sliding down to mess with the band of his shorts.
Your friends are all profilers, they probably already know exactly what you’re doing. You just hope they don’t tease Spencer too much after this.
“Okay, yes ma’am,” Spencer pants, wasting no time as he dives into your chest. His lips wrap around your nipples, sending your head falling back in pleasure.
You use this time to shove your hand into his trunks, pulling out his throbbing length, pumping your hand lazily. If you hadn’t stripped him of his innocence yourself, you’d have thought he was still a virgin with how he thrusted into your fist.
“C’mon, baby,” You feel yourself growing impatient and you wouldn’t be surprised if you were dropping down your legs. “We gotta speed this up.”
As if reading your mind, Spencer pulls at the strings keeping your bottoms on, letting them fall to the floor where your top had landed. He doesn’t bother stripping his own, helping you up onto the sink and spreading your legs.
He whimpers at the sight of your pussy, glistening with arousal that seems to be inviting him in. He can’t help but ask. “Can I taste you? Please? Just really quick?”
You can’t exactly deny him the privilege when you know from experience how good he is with his mouth. So you agree, “Quickly.”
His mouth is on you in less than a second, slurping up your juices like a man starved. You clamp a hand over your mouth when his tongue finds your clit, flicking back and forth before it’s being sucked between his lips. You can’t help your hips rutting up, chasing the feeling of his mouth even when he hasn’t detached from you yet.
You have a second of clarify where you realize you’ve been gone longer than five minutes already, and you know you don’t have long before Morgan or Emily start banging on the door.
Reluctantly, your fingers lace themselves into the mop of brown curls on Spencer’s head, using the strands to yank him away from your heat. He’s breathless, pouting like you’ve taken away his lollipop.
“I’m sorry, my love. But you need to be inside me, now.” You demand. Spencer can’t be too upset so he nods, hurrying to line his cock up at your entrance.
He pushes himself in slowly, a whimper falling from his lips at the delicious feeling of you surrounding him. “Oh–my god.” Your arms rest on his shoulders, fingers finding his locks once again. Your eyes practically roll into the back of your head, releasing a moan as he sinks into you.
Suddenly it’s like he’s feral, hips thrusting into you so quickly you almost fall off the counter. Hushed moans are shared between you, your lips meeting to hopefully muffle the sounds of pleasure.
“Yes, yes, yes,” Spencer mumbles, brows furrowed in concentration as he tries not to come so fast. It’s difficult when it feels like his head is clouded with ecstasy, the ridges of your walls massaging his shaft just right.
You pull his head back by his hair, relishing in the little moans escaping him with every thrust. “Is it that good, baby? Is my pussy that good that your big brain doesn’t work anymore?”
His eyes screw shut, mouth falling open as his thrusts become so hard, his balls begin to slap against your ass. Your words effectively turn his brain to mush, the only thing left on his mind is being able to come.
“P-please, please–let me come. Can I? I need to, I need to–” He whimpers, his pubic bone snapping against you so violently you think you may have bruises tomorrow.
The tip of his cock hits the spongy spot inside of you, your mouth falling open. It’s hard to formulate words when it feels like Spencer’s cock is splitting you in half. You reach blindly for his hand, directing it down to your clit. “Yeah, baby, you’re gonna come with me, okay?”
Spencer doesn’t bother to nod, first using his thumb then his middle three fingers to swipe across your clit with eagerness. The action combined with him hitting the spot sends you hurdling towards the edge, you hips spasming as stars flood your vision.
Your walls clamping down on him send Spencer off right behind you, the rhythm of his hips becoming erratic as he spills his load inside you. You’ve both forgotten to muffle your noises at this point, whines and whimpers spilling from you both as you come down from your highs.
He ruts into you a few more times before the stimulation becomes too much, and he gasps as he forces himself from the warmth of your walls. You moan at the loss of him filling you, still trying to catch your breath.
Spencer and you are silent for a minute, minds finally wrapping around what just happened. He’s still breathing a little heavy when he takes a piece of toilet paper and cleans up the mess between your legs.
“This was…eye opening.” He chuckles, making you giggle as well.
“I’ll say.” You pull him in for another kiss, this one much softer than what you’d shared just moments ago.
Spencer sighs, letting his forehead fall onto your shoulder. “We’re never gonna hear the end of this, are we?”
“No,” You scoff, “Not by a long shot.”

My Chemical-Free Solution to a Surprise Flea Infestation – Steam Cleaning
Despite not owning pets, I found my home unexpectedly infested with fleas—everywhere from the living room to the bathroom. It turned out a street cat had wandered in through an open door, leaving behind a flea infestation. Looking for a fast and natural solution, I decided to try steam cleaning after reading about its effectiveness. Many Virginia Beach exterminators suggest steam cleaning as an eco-friendly method to kill fleas, and I hoped it would work without needing harmful chemicals.
To begin, I cleared my home by moving furniture and lifting rugs to access all areas, ensuring I could cover each surface. Fleas are notorious for hiding in crevices and deep carpets, so I wanted to be thorough. The steam cleaner’s high temperature of over 200°F kills fleas and their larvae on contact, making it ideal for immediate control. Moving carefully across the floors in even lines, I used white socks to spot any fleas that jumped, which allowed me to crush any that tried to escape.
According to a Virginia Beach exterminator, steam cleaning is an effective initial treatment, but a complete eradication plan is key. In addition to steam cleaning, I washed all machine-safe items on high heat and vacuumed floors. It’s crucial to empty the vacuum bag outside to prevent any fleas from re-entering the home. Over the next week, I observed a significant drop in fleas, and after several days, they were completely gone.
Steam cleaning offered an eco-friendly and safe way to handle a flea infestation, and I highly recommend it for anyone facing a similar situation. This approach is especially beneficial for allergy-prone households, as it minimizes chemical exposure. Although steam cleaning was effective on its own, consulting with a pest control expert or a Virginia Beach exterminator can provide added security for long-term flea control, especially if the infestation persists.

Commercial Movers Virginia: Your Guide to Stress-Free Office Relocation
Tumblr media
Relocating a business is a huge task that requires careful planning, strategic thinking, and a lot of coordination. Whether you're moving a small office across town or relocating an entire corporate building, working with professional commercial movers can make all the difference. If you’re in Virginia and searching for commercial movers who know the ins and outs of office relocations, this guide is for you.
Why Choose Commercial Movers?
Commercial moving is vastly different from residential moving. While moving homes may involve packing boxes and furniture, office moves require handling valuable equipment, sensitive documents, and often need to work around tight schedules to minimize downtime.
Here's why choosing specialized commercial movers in Virginia is essential for a seamless transition:
Experience with Office Equipment Commercial movers understand how to safely pack, transport, and set up office equipment like computers, printers, copiers, and phone systems. They ensure that your tech infrastructure is moved without damage and reconnected swiftly at your new location.
Minimized Business Disruption Time is money, especially for businesses. Professional movers can work outside of your regular office hours, even on weekends, to ensure minimal disruption. They have the expertise to plan and execute moves efficiently, reducing downtime.
Secure Handling of Sensitive Materials If your business deals with confidential documents, such as financial records or customer information, you’ll need a moving company that understands the importance of security. Commercial movers offer specialized services like secure packing and shredding of sensitive materials.
Customized Moving Solutions Every business is unique, and so is every move. Whether you’re relocating a small office or a large corporate headquarters, commercial movers offer tailored solutions to meet your specific needs. They can handle everything from small internal office moves to cross-country relocations.
What to Expect from Commercial Movers in Virginia
Virginia is home to a wide range of businesses—from tech startups in Northern Virginia to government offices in Richmond. When hiring commercial movers, it’s important to choose a company familiar with the local business landscape and its unique challenges. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Pre-Move Planning
The first step in a commercial move is creating a detailed plan. This includes setting timelines, determining the number of trucks and movers needed, and developing strategies to minimize downtime. Experienced movers will collaborate with your management team to ensure every detail is covered.
2. Packing and Labeling
Packing for an office move involves more than just putting items in boxes. Professional movers use specialized packing materials to protect valuable equipment and furniture. Each box is labeled clearly, making the unpacking and reinstallation process more efficient.
3. Furniture Disassembly and Reassembly
Office furniture can be bulky and complicated to move. Commercial movers will disassemble larger pieces like conference tables, desks, and cubicles, transport them safely, and reassemble everything at the new location.
4. Logistics Management
Whether you’re moving locally or long-distance, logistics management is key to a successful commercial move. Movers will coordinate truck routes, parking permits, elevator schedules, and other details to ensure everything runs smoothly on moving day.
5. Post-Move Setup
Once everything is at the new location, commercial movers don’t just leave you with boxes to unpack. They’ll help set up your office so that you can get back to business quickly. This can include connecting computers, phones, and other essential equipment, as well as arranging furniture according to your floor plan.
Choosing the Right Commercial Movers in Virginia
With so many options available, how do you choose the right commercial movers for your Virginia-based business? Here are a few key factors to consider:
1. Experience and Expertise
Look for movers with a strong track record of handling commercial moves. Check their website and customer reviews to see if they’ve successfully completed similar jobs in the past.
2. Licensing and Insurance
Ensure that the moving company is fully licensed and insured. This protects your business from liability in case of accidents or damage to your property during the move.
3. Transparent Pricing
A reputable moving company will provide a detailed quote that outlines all costs. Be wary of any company that offers a vague estimate or adds hidden fees later on.
4. Customizable Services
No two commercial moves are the same. Choose a moving company that offers customizable services to fit your specific needs, from packing and storage to tech support and furniture installation.
5. Local Knowledge
Virginia is a diverse state with unique geographic challenges depending on where your business is located. Movers with local expertise will be familiar with traffic patterns, building regulations, and parking permits, ensuring a smoother relocation.
Final Thoughts
Relocating your business is a significant step that requires expert handling. By choosing professional commercial movers in Virginia, you can ensure that your move goes off without a hitch. From pre-move planning to post-move setup, the right moving team will take care of the heavy lifting—literally—so you can focus on getting back to business as usual.
If you’re ready to make your office move stress-free and efficient, reach out to commercial movers in Virginia today for a customized moving plan that suits your business needs!

Savior Of Lost Hope chapter 3
((It's a mixed chapter!!!!! BTW Agent Rainbow's Daycare Chapter 9 is gonna be chaotic and wholesome!!!))
As the days go by and still waiting for there angel of hope to arrive. The pure white marble floor in Desmond's room shined in the moonlight. On the bed cage the four winged angel slept he was halfway falling out of it.The other one was gonna scare the feathers off of him.Allen quietly grabbed the air horn can and pressed the button causing Desmond to fall to the floor.
"ALLEN DUDE!" Desmond was now fully awake thanks to him."What it's quiet, boring and that dude is asleep we can communicate to you know Rosemary and the others." Allen pulls the pin from his vest pocket."Right, now we have a window of time to communicate." Desmond nodded. The pen started blinking blue."Hello? This is Rosemary, are you both alright!?" Both smiled "Thank goodness you're ok Rose, how are the others?" Desmond broke the silence.the pen swapped colors depending on who was talking,it was green for Lucas, purple for Virginia,Red was Max and light blue for Rosemary.on there end the radio frequency would change from white for Desmond and yellow for Allen."We are holding in,we just hope we can get in and get you both out.We have been running our own test to see if we can mimic the world and well it works only we figured out how to bypass any bullshit." Lucas nodded as he paced the floor."But it works,so hold on to whatever boys,we.are coming to rescue you soon." Max replied."We hope so,it sucks in here.We even have wings and such it's hard to learn to fly." Allen chuckled."Yeah and it's hard to keep the place clean without finding feathers everywhere! It's like a Pillowfights went on!" They all laughed ."Well I see you still have your humor still, that's good.Laugh at the problem and find the solution that's what I find helpful." Virginia shrugged while sipping her tea."And please be careful in there please we would like you both to be in one piece."
Desmond and Allen spoke for hours to them in the hours of the night each night for 5 days around 10pm to 3am and soon the plan will be set in stone to free them from the trapped mind. But something odd was happening to the both of them
Desmond felt an odd feeling.A feeling of emotional rage…..Anger and bitterness, and Allen too, he would swear the floor was sinking, swallowing him into the floorboards. He noticed his wings was dripping asphalt like liquid that sent chills down his spine, but it had tints of the rainbow chemical and Desmonds wings was covered in the chemical. At one point they both fought each other with claw and fang, blood dripping from there faces. And that entertained Rainbow and the inkblots. So Rainbow decided to use the flat skyroof for a fighting ring.He would create inkblot ambushes of all types of different and new inkblots. Some was fast shooting inkblots and others was shielded tank inkblots. But the outcome was all the same, they all failed but Rainbow knows this will work for any intruder that enters now.Rainbow even had to keep both of them separated and chained so they didn't bust down the door and kill each other for how violet they was.Rainbow knew why because he set off a chemical gas leak that caused both to become ever so violent he thinks he wins the battle.
But that was going to change. As a violent rainstorm was created.Out at the beginning of the maze they arrived.A camouflage suited male with radio equipment, hunters camo, and his sniper on his back landed on the gravel path."Coast is clear for now, alright drop on down one at a time." Lucas sounded bold and determined. The next to arrive was Max,the sleeves on his red suit were torn.and he had horns with gold cuffs, along with his trust shotgun and lure pills on him along with some experimental fire shotgun shells."and boom goes the bull!" Max laughed.Virgina took some time arriving as she got a ghostly beautiful Victorian style dress that almost looked like her shadow form only more elegant, and she had a mirror blade sword sheathed on her hip."woah I'm dressed so elegantly and I have a dangerous weapon! Awesome!" Lucas looked around and called for Rosemary.
Rosemary was wrapping up a few things before she handed a vile to someone."Make sure to listen for return cues alright I trust you will be ok watching over the place." The figure in the dark nodded and sat at the desk as she drifted into an unconscious state. As Rosemary arrived she had a light blue dress,a pistol loaded with special bullets that looked pure white like it was an antidote to the chemical. And she was the third to have a set of wings, hers was dark blue and hued with light blue feathers.Everyone was in awe."Come on, we have two friends in serious danger."

temporarily, indefinitely, forever / chapter one
Tumblr media
Penelope Garcia is a great many things, including a wonderful friend, but she’s a terrible matchmaker. After one too many ill-fated blind dates, the Reader and Spencer Reid find a solution in each other. Their arrangement is temporary...right?
pairing: bi!spencer reid x bi!reader (mentioned briefly, it’s a self insert so think what u want)
category: fluff, fake dating trope, slow burn, requited unrequited love
word count: 2.8k
a/n: HI i hope you like it :) please please PLEASE reblog or boost if you enjoyed. i provide content For Free and the least you can do is let me know that you enjoyed it and help other people see/enjoy it :)
---
It’s summer, too hot to take a deep breath.
You’ve always disliked how humid bars can feel. It’s your first summer in Virginia, although you’ve stopped telling people that in an attempt to feel a little more like you belong. You should be having fun—there’s the pulse of club music in your feet and the warmth of alcohol in your throat, but something’s keeping you tied to the bar.
“Do you have a flask?” Penelope stage whispers, gesturing to her mostly-cranberry-juice sea breeze, and you feel a brief swell of emotion. You laugh, truly laugh at the ridiculity of it all, and the look of joy on Penelope’s disco-ball illuminated face is just another reminder of how much you adore her. You spend an inordinate amount of time together; you’re not a trained field agent, so your role as a communications liaison is often confined to the inside of her office. It seemed only fair that you’d get to know her. And get to know Penelope you did—ever a light in your life, she’s your shining star among a sea of grey suits and badges. Stirring her drink, she shoots you a conspiratorial wink.
The bar is full of professionals unwinding, a few odd college kids scattered across the floor. It’s a little strange, to stand in a cocktail dress and pretend not to know the agents in your department. When you know people through the macabre, nobody’s in a rush to chat about the lighter aspects of life.
It’s still a little uncomfortable, standing in a cocktail dress with people who you know only through a professional lens of crime statistics and outcomes. As you chat about recent office happenings; Cindy had her baby last week, Mark’s getting married, Jake’s taking some personal time, you let your eyes drift across the room.
“Did you ever keep seeing that guy from Hinge? Or that girl from the bagel shop?” Penelope chirps, nudging you in the side. You groan, leaning against her in defeat. It’ll be your downfall. Whether “it” is dating, friendships, an interest in anything outside of your work—it’s unimportant.
“Yeah, I saw him for a few weeks. I just…got bored. He was nice, but I just couldn’t keep going.” Penelope smacks a jewel-covered hand against her forehead, and mutters something about stubborn FBI agents. You want to remind her that technically, she’s a Special Agent, too, but you fall silent as she starts to speak.
“Babycakes! How many times do I have to tell you that it’s the boring people we need to end up with! Perfectly ordinary people love consistency and sugar and spice and everything nice!”
She’s right. You sigh against your straw, scanning the crowd. It’s not that you don’t want that. A steady relationship, someone to come home to—God forbid, domesticity—they’re all things you crave more than you’d like to admit. Something about the road to that kind of vulnerability is too bumpy for you to weather beyond a few dates and a stilted conversation about what you’re both looking for in a relationship.
“I wish I could show you how amazing and date-able you are. I see it, sugar. You just have to find someone who sees it, too.”
Ugh. You’re too sober to be crying over how painfully alone you are, but something about Penelope’s literal rose colored glasses and her candor bring a tear to your eye. In her gaze, however, is a new, half-wicked realization.
“I can do that! I can do it!” Her face breaks into a grin, and she lifts her hands to shake them in excitement. You urge her forward, a little confused, and she continues.
“I can find you someone! I’ll play matchmaker. Like in the movies. I’ll set you up on blind dates!” The look of pure joy on her face softens your hesitancy into something she takes as a ‘yes’.
“We work 80 hour work weeks. I don’t exactly have time to date.” You counter, eyes wide. The gears have already begun to turn, though, and you get the feeling that Penelope’s plan is in motion whether you like it or not. She grabs your hand and squeezes, and you tumble down the rabbit hole.
The summer is spent in dive bars, on hikes, and at museums.
You have to give Penelope at least a little credit. She’s arguably the most social member of the team, and she knows your type. There’s nothing objectively wrong with the people she sends your way. Plus, it’s nice to have an excuse to leave the office early, citing existing plans and people waiting. But something is just...wrong.
“Wait, you’re a prosecutor?” You ask, mid-bite of salad. Nick, who was introduced to you as an attorney, seems unamused. You’re starting to get the idea that the waitresses at the Italian restaurant on fifth recognize you, and there’s a low level sense of embarrassment that’s permeating into your conversation. He shrugs, the shoulders of his suit too big, and you wave the hostess down to get the check.
Ashley is really, really nice. She’s a preschool teacher, and has a sort of dreamy quality about her. You trail around a farmers market, ignoring the buzz of your phone in your pocket as she picks out fresh lavender.
“For my classroom,” She says, her voice almost sing-song. “It’s calming.” You manage to spend twenty dollars on a few organic avocados and leave the pavilion broke and disappointed. Ashley doesn’t text you back.
George is a stage manager at the community theatre Garcia frequents, but it turns out that you can’t really get up to much talking when you’re watching a production. He shushes you twice while you watch the first act of Phantom, and you slip away at intermission.
There’s a sketch artist you meet on a case, Thomas, and you’re only a few minutes late to a paint and sip. You’re not very good with acrylics, though, your attempt at painting trees looks more like a massacre of green. Instead of focusing on your canvas, you watch him construct a landscape out of nothing. The wine is good, an expensive zinfandel, and you sip as he brushes orange over pink to create a sky.
“Why police work?” You ask, against the rim of your glass. Thomas’ eyes don’t leave his canvas, and he shrugs. The instructor seems displeased with your lack of painting, but you stand your ground.
“Why any job?” He counters, and your jaw falls a little slack at his indifference. He sets his brush down, and you shrink a little under his gaze. You shrug, a little defensive of your inquiry. You don’t call him back.
Maybe you’re more chronically single than you thought.
It’s September when you stop answering calls, and start to linger at the office more. It feels a little like defeat. The rest of the team is perfectly paired off. JJ has Will. Hotch is with Beth, Morgan scored Savannah. You suspect Emily has her fair share of prospects, regardless of whether she discusses them. Not only are you not a profiler, but you feel a little juvenile. The jokes get tiring.
“Got a hot date, princess?” Morgan’s at his desk, a smile on his face as you hand him a case file. You’re eager to leave the office, exhausted from the case prior. The fluorescent lights of the bullpen have been bothering you lately—Spencer probably has an explanation, citing the blue light as a disruptor to your circadian rhythm.
“I’d rather not answer.” You catch sight of Spencer in your periphery, a little hesitant as he sidesteps you. You don’t know what you’ve done to offend him, but he’s been distant lately. You don’t talk much, not after the obligatory greetings of your first few weeks ended. Where you once joked good-naturedly, he now falls quiet. You wish he wouldn’t. Emily told you once that he takes a while to warm up to people, but when you interact you get the feeling that he’s being intentionally icy. Maybe it’s because you’re not a profiler, or maybe it’s because you’re in JJ’s former role. You can only guess. Derek rises from his chair, a hand on your shoulder. Emily breezes by, and when she sees the look on your face she launches into convincing you.
“Come on. Let me buy you a drink. I’m treating everyone to shots at O’Keefe’s.” You exhale through your nose, already feeling tomorrow’s hangover. You haven’t been at the BAU long, but you know better than to compete with Emily at tequila shots. You weigh your options a little, torn between an early night and a little fun.
“Fine. As long as Rossi’s buying, not Emily.” You call out, in Dave’s direction. You laugh at the scowl on his face, and reach for your purse. The team seems lighter today. Maybe it’s something in the air. Autumn has a lazy sort of chill to it, something tranquilizing in the cold.
Being the only sober person at a bar kind of sucks.
You consider this over a Shirley temple, toying with the stem of a cherry. You can’t fault your colleagues for drinking. God knows this job makes you prone to vices. Still, O’Keefe’s is best enjoyed through the lens of blurred edges and heightened impulses. It falls a little flat when looked at clearly. You check your watch, sighing as you consider the time.
“Is that an Arcadia?” You turn, catching sight of Spencer. He’s similarly clearheaded, scanning the bar with wide eyes. You recognize his scarf, tied haphazardly but visible around the neckline of his sweater. He runs cold, apparently, and you try to resist a grin.
You lift your wrist, exposing your skin to show him your watch. “Yeah, actually. It’s a little shop in my hometown. My grandmother gave it to me.” He nods, eyes trailing the silver as if scanning for something.
“They only made around fifty of those, in the eighties. It’s an antique by today’s standards. I got mine repaired there in undergrad.” He explains, and your eyes widen a little. Spencer exists in your mind only as a here and now; considering him in California, among the orange trees and crystalline blue, is disarming. You nearly choke on a sip of your drink when he mentions CalTech. You nod along, letting the conversation trail off. You’ve taken to scanning the dance floor, half looking for Penelope and half trying to entertain yourself. Spencer looks equally bored, so you take your chance.
“How do you handle the personal questions?” He freezes, a little confused. You try to fill in the blank, the conversation stilted with that fresh, young type of friendship.
“The team. I guess I’m not used to my coworkers being so involved in my personal life.” You offer, and he seems to understand. His eyes drift over his left hand before he looks back up at you, eyes a little sad.
“We’re an anomaly. Most offices aren’t this close. It’s organic, though. They’re my friends. I answer them because they’re asking out of genuine care.” He says, almost rehearsed. You exhale, dissatisfied.
“I admit that they’re a little hard on you about your social life. You can always decline to answer, though. Nobody’d care.” You are not a fan of the low, disinterested effect of his voice. You bristle a little, and he seems to register that he’s offended you.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“I know.” He relaxes a little. You’re glad.
“Does Penelope set everyone up on an inordinate amount of dates? Or am I just a hopeless case?”
“You’re not a hopeless case.” He says, measured and with a degree of sincerity. It occurs to you that Spencer’s single, too. Derek gives him shit about it all the time. You don’t say anything, eyes fixed on the toe box of your heel as you wait for the low-level awkwardness to clear.
“It, uh, gets better after the holidays.”
You look up to find that Spencer’s gaze hasn’t left you since you last spoke. He clears his throat, and you nod to let him know that he has your attention.
“They usually stop asking after New Year’s. I think the slang term “cuffing season” can be tied to the quantifiable drop in serotonin in the winter months. People resort to interpersonal connections to fill the void.” You didn’t leave the house expecting to hear a genius utter the words ‘cuffing season’ today, but life is a box of chocolates. While Spencer’s wisdom is a little disheartening, resigning love to a chemical reaction, it gives you an idea.
“What if we pretended to date each other?”
You ask, because you know that in the likely event that Spencer turns you down you’ll just go back to the same silence as before. The realization that you don’t have much to lose is a helpful one, but it makes something in your chest catch and pull. He probably won’t agree. He’ll probably never speak to you again. He’ll probably never really be your friend. To your surprise, he simply furrows his brow.
“The logistics of that seem complicated. What do you mean?”
“Like, we’d tell the team we’re together. Do couple-y things together, just for the holidays. Make the rounds at parties. Then we’d break it off, mope around the office a little.” You shrug. It sounds almost as easy said as done. You have Spencer’s full attention now, and take this as a sign to continue.
“We’d get, like, four months of complete bliss. Plus the fallout from the breakup. Nobody bothering us about who we’re dating.”
You like to think that you can read Spencer pretty well. Right now, he’s on edge—fidgeting with his hands, eyes flitting around the room like he can’t look at you for too long. But as you introduce the last part of your plan, you feel it. You have him. Hook, line and sinker. Clearing his throat, he nods.
“I…think it could work.” He rasps, and you grin as you watch him adjust his sweater. You’ve successfully flustered Spencer Reid. As far as humble beginnings go, you’re content with this one. You find a little courage in the bottom of your straw and inch closer to him. Something rearranges in the air, the feeling of the shift as true as your own hands. You meet his eye.
“So you’re in?”
He nods, almost imperceptibly. When you catch Emily staring, you close the space between you, shoulder to shoulder with him against the edge of the bar.
“Kiss me, then.” You think you may have killed Spencer, then brought him back to life. He pales, the color draining from his face before returning in the form of a bright pink flush.
“What? Why?”
You laugh lightly. You take his hands into yours, cold against the heat of your skin. He only looks a little perturbed. It’s almost normal. Almost real.
“People will see. People who date kiss, you know.” You tease. “I knew that.” He mutters, and you inch closer to him. Your eyes don’t leave him, searching the highs and lows of his face. “Then kiss me. Just think about something else and do it.”
You don’t expect him to follow through. Truthfully, you anticipate that Spencer will prefer to plan every minute detail of this arrangement out, probably over coffee. He’ll orchestrate each meeting, choreograph each appearance. It’ll work, his measurements and scientific process. You’ll formulate a relationship, test it in public, and publish your findings later. It’ll work.
You don’t expect him to pull you up to meet him, lips plush and urgent against yours. You wind your arms around his neck, tangling your fingers in his hair. How is he this heated, right out of the gate? You can’t even listen for a reaction from anyone at the bar, the sound drowned out by a roaring in your ears.
You told him to think about something else. You’ve kissed people and not thought about it before. It’s easy when you’re not into it, and easy in theory. You don’t take your own advice. You’re not really thinking about anything. You’re feeling. The combination of all five of your senses is overwhelming, but you manage to take in as much as you can. He’s confident like this, hands cupping your jaw and pulling your waist towards his. It is so far from the Spencer you know that your brain short circuits in favor of focusing on the sensation, the push and pull of it. He sets you down a moment later, bright pink and a little wanton.
“You have lipstick on your face.” You point out, unhelpful. He swipes at his mouth, missing it entirely, and you have to use your thumb to get the pink smear off. He’s being too obvious about the fact that he’s gauging the team’s reaction, but you don’t have the energy to correct him. Still breathless, you try to cool off.
“Was that...good?”
You think Penelope may have fainted. You can’t see her, but you can see Derek, who’s regarding you with a sort of newfound respect. JJ’s still over by the dartboard, but she’s trying to meet your eye. You look up at Spencer, smiling.
“Yeah. Nice job.”
You watch his blush creep up his neckline, and wonder if he’s hot to the touch. He rubs at his cheek, grinning dumbly, and you decide that autumn is off to a wonderful start.

The Captain’s Assistant
Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Steve Rogers x dark! reader, Avengers x dark! Reader
Summary: After 3 years as Cap's assistant and being treated like nothing, you are captured by Hydra and everything changes.
Warnings: Swearing, dark themes, abduction, torture, cannon level violence, threats of sexual assault. Murder. Mayhem.
Will update warnings on each chapter.
Slight AU
3 months, 5 days and roughly 18 hours after abduction
The steady drip, drip, drip from the leak in your cell told you it was raining again. The last few months have been a nightmare of injections that made you sick and torture that the doctor keeps saying will unlock powers. You didn’t know if that was true but they had better pray to whatever vicious god made them that you didn’t get anything similar to Wanda. You'd level this place.
You heard the door squeak open. You wanted to laugh because they finally oiled the door. You wouldn’t though. After 6 injections of the dark red solution the doctor had moved on. Glowing blue followed. Then a toxic looking green.
When none of them had seemed to work they began the torture. Brock seemed to take pleasure in the beatings. You were pretty sure you were going to kill that piece of shit first.
The guy with the sandy blond hair enjoyed knives. You called him Astor the dickless. He had littered you with little slices trying to get you to scream. When you refused to comply he beat you until you couldn't stand. He would definitely be second to die.
They had tried heat, cold and electricity. They had been threatening to rape you daily for the last few weeks, but after whispered arguments with the doctor it had become clear he had other plans.
The last test subject had died. You were told that while the doctor handed you pills he said were vitamins. They barely fed you or gave you water. The only time they let you shower was when you were covered in blood.
As the team of assholes walked down the stone steps you felt something shift inside you. You moved to the back corner of your cell into the shadows and instinctively closed your eyes. It was as if your fear and rage were coming together to protect you.
"Come on pretty lady", Brock said putting the key in the lock." Or intel says the superhero squad is heading this way so we have to move.'
Looking in the cell he cursed."Where the hell is she?" He asked his men.
You stood confused for a moment the realized they couldn't see you. You moved cautiously toward the cell door. Still no one reacted as they searched the cells, calling the doctor on their comms.
When you were standing right next to Astor you eased a knife from his thigh holster. He didn't react. Slinking along the cell doors you got to where Brock was barking orders. Plunging the knife into his stomach felt so good you took it out and did it again. You whispered to him as he fell to the floor. "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Stab in and thrust up."
They men rushed to him as he fell but your goal was standing back looking confused. Astor the dickless never saw you coming as you slit his throat and left him in your cell to bleed out.
Taking his gun you shot the other guards twice each. Taking another gun and a few clips you headed for the stairs. At the top you turned left and headed to the heart of the castle. The doctor was talking rapidly in a language you didn't understand on his phone.
The shot to the head seemed to etch permanent surprise on his face. You almost laughed as you began to search for supplies. You needed to get out of here before The Avengers showed up. You needed time to figure out the power and how you were going to get revenge on them.
Revenge was sweet. As you slipped out a side door you looked at the phone you'd stolen. You were in the mountains of Virginia. In a castle? People were weird.
When The Avengers arrived at a transported castle in the Appalachian mountains they went in quietly. They searched and found no one alive. They took the hard drives and security footage. All the doctor's notes.
They were concerned when they got to the dungeon. You weren't here and the men were dead.
"Who got the drop on them?" Natasha asked looking around. "It doesn't even look like any of them tried to defend himself. Could she have done this?."
Wanda was standing in the doorway of your cell, eyes glowing red. She let out a breath and stepped back.
"There is so much rage in this room." She said looking at Steve with a frown.
"Let's hope she escaped." He replied trying to sound confident. Inside he knew there was no way you could have done this if the doctor's experiments hadn't worked.
"Capcicle I've scanned the doctor. He's been dead less than 2 hours."Tony's voice cut into his thoughts.
"Let's search the area. She may be hiding nearby after she escaped." Sam's voice came through the comms.
"Ok team. Our rescue mission rescued her self. Let's find her and get her home." Steve said heading for the stairs. "Nat, call Fury and give him an update. We're going to need more boots on the ground. For now, Tony get Friday to scan the area. Bucky searches the grounds of the castle. Wanda and Nat after talking to Fury search everything in this place. We don't know that she ran out. Sam fly over the area to see if you find anything that can help. I'll head back to the jet and see if Bruce can make heads or tails of these formulas"
As everyone took off in different directions to search Steve Rogers couldn't shake the feeling there was something bad following him.

JJ Maybank Must Die | Chapter 2: Ping Pong Balls
fuckboy!JJ x Reader
series masterlist | chapter one
JJ Maybank is the island’s most infamous fuckboy- not that you ever cared. But when a group of tourist girls come to your surf shop crying to you about him, you agree to help them plot revenge. Sabotage is all fun and games, until you find that the playboy you were sworn to ruin happens to be falling head over heels for you.
Yes, this is based on John Tucker Must Die lol
Tumblr media
Problem not solved.
You and Sophia eagerly sipped on your smoothies, waiting for the trio to show up to their five-oclock session the Monday following the party. Alas, they piled through the front door with deflated shoulders.
“Well?” Sophia perked, eyes gleaming, “How’d it go? Did you make him cry?! Please don’t spare any details!” Her palms clasped together in front of her like a kid who just came up with an evil-genius plan.
“Tell them what happened,” Annalise ordered Arabella, clocking the fiery-haired girl’s shoulder.
Arabella sighed dejectedly. “Well... not exactly. So I went to the party, hoe clothes on and everything like we planned. Saw him, used my signature look and look away move, and it worked! He came over and we started talking and-”
“She fucked him,” Maia finished bluntly, prompting a betrayed gasp from Sophia and face-palm from you.
“Mhm,” Annalise added, “He whisked her away before me or Maia could get the chance to interfere.”
“I couldn’t help it!” Arabella cried, covering her face in mortification, “He was just so... smooth and sweet. And those eyes! We started talking about sea turtles! You guys know they are my weakness.”
You couldn’t help look on your face. Arabella was sweet, no doubt, but boy, the girl sure was spineless. It was a good thing she was pretty.
“He is the devil!” Sophia enunciated each word of her sentence and huffed. “This is going to be harder than I thought!”
“We just need someone stronger! Someone with a heart of steel unlike this one,” Annalise added, smacking her friend on the back.
“We could give it another go,” you agreed, “but who’d be our guinea pig now?”
You pondered at the ceiling until you felt all four pairs of eyes practically stab at you. It was like jumping into a vulture’s nest.
“Oh no, not me!”
“Why not?” Maia questioned, frustrated. “You’re the only available one left. Plus, you couldn’t give two shits about him. It’ll be like busy work to you.”
“Yeah not gonna happen. Find someone else, please. This is non-negotiable.”
Out of nowhere, Sophia seized your hand and tugged you into the back room of the shop. “Excuse us for a minute,” she said to the girls before shutting the door of the crammed space.
It was a good thing your supervisor left early for the day, your asses would be toast if he were to witness the scene.
“I think you should do it,” your best friend urged.
“Have you lost your mind?!” you yelled-whispered.
“Oh come on, y/n! Do it for me. For Annalise. No! Do it for all the girls on this island who has ever shed a single tear for him!”
You sighed heavily. “I can’t do it, Soph. I’m sorry. He’s terrible and Karma has her kiss for him, but not me. Also, you know how I feel about those parties at the Boneyard.” Your look grew to one of disgust.
“Mhm,” she crossed her arms, “This wouldn’t be because of Pope would it?”
“No!”
Yes. It absolutely was.
So you might’ve maybe use to have a teensy tiny little crush on Pope Heyward-one of JJ’s best friends. It wasn’t your fault he was so cute and smart... and respectful!
The boy stole your heart and ran away with it when you were paired up for science lab sophomore year. Him, being the genius he was, always did the experiments so gracefully while you royalty fucked everything up.
One day, you poured the wrong solution into the beaker and the goopy liquid exploded everywhere. However, without an ounce of complaint, Pope offered to stay after with you to scrub down the walls and tables. A modern day romance if there ever was one.
After months of daydreaming about him, you finally worked up the courage to ask him to the end-of-year dance. Sophia and your other friends hyped you up as you approached his locker after school.
Much to you dismay, he said no. But he did it in such a nice way, you couldn’t hate him for it. If anything, it made you hurt even more that you got rejected so kindly. Ever since then, you never stepped foot near him or his friends, too humiliated to even think of it.
“You’re a terrible liar, y/n,” Sophia stated.
She then grabbed onto your shoulders to stare you straight in the eyes. “Look, I know you swore never to see Pope again, but, honestly, fuck him! He missed out on a kick-ass date. But think- you could kill two birds with one stone! Go to the Boneyard, look hot as fuck, dance on JJ a bit and then vamoose! Pope’s jealous and JJ gets a bite in the ass!”
Your brows furrowed in annoyance. Leave it to Sophia to convince you into her petty ploys. “I don’t know...”
She persisted further. “Okay, I wasn’t going to tell you this because I knew you’d be super jealous, but my cousin got me front row to Venus Panic in Charlotte at the end of the summer.”
Your eyes jolted out of your head. “No fucking way!”
You loved Venus Panic with a dying passion. They were your favorite band who never ever came to the U.S.
Sophia let out a long breath. “Yes. If you do this, y/n, the ticket,” she paused, “the ticket is yours.”
It was like pulling teeth from her to make that kind of offer. Damn her for being so conniving!
“Alright. For Venus, I’ll do it.”
“Thank the gods!” Sophia leaped up and down in the confined room, hugging you and thanking you a ga-zillion times.
She looked as if she sealed a million dollar deal when you two emerged from the room. You, on the other hand, were ready to fling yourself to the seagulls.
“Operation JJ Maybank must die is a go girls!” she announced before the group started frolicking up and down, earning stares from people looking through the glass.
“Alright, alright,” you said as they settled down, “Now that we have that done, can we please actually surf now?”
-------------------------------
The night of the next Boneyard party, you and Sophia drove to the condo the girls were staying at. Pulling up to the building, both yours and Sophia’s eyes widened. You knew the complex was on Figure Eight, but you didn’t know it was that luxurious and huge. They even had valet at the front, and you were greeted by doorman on your way in.
Apparently Annalise’s dad was an important rich man in Virginia. He remarried, and was currently honeymooning in some exotic island. Sending his condolences, he let her choose whichever one of his condos she wanted to stay at for the summer with friends. For some unknown reason, she chose the Outer Banks.
“Party’s here!” Sophia sang when Arabella answered the door.
You entered into the spacious unit, in awe. The endless kitchen was lined with white Italian wood while the counters were topped with the fanciest marble you had ever seen. The living room was the size of your house with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the island. And the view was spectacular.
So this was how the other side lived.
Maia and Annalise squealed when they emerged from their rooms and hugged you and Sophia hello. They had on silk robes with their hair up in rollers. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show had nothing on them.
They handed you two some seltzers from the fridge before Maia dragged you to the gigantic vanity in her room. Eyeshadow palettes, brushes, and compact powders littered the surface. She sat you down and fiddled with the ends of your hair.
“So, y/n, what kind of look do you wanna go for tonight?”
You were taken aback. “I’m not sure. Maybe something natural since we’re gonna be outside?”
Maia scoffed playfully and shook her head. “Y/n, it’s a party! If you’re not glamming you’re not scamming. Actually say no more! I know exactly what we’re gonna do.”
And so, she worked her magic as you watched through the bulb-lined mirror. You asked her about the products she was using while she gave you the rundown of the importance of each item and step. She was very knowledgable and swift with her hand- especially when it came to the winged liner.
You got along with Maia. You learned that she had a successful makeup channel and wanted to start her own brand one day. She also told you about her boyfriend and how he was in Thailand for the entire summer.
After two hours of searching for lost lip glosses, waiting on Annalise to change for the tenth time, and chugging your fifth seltzer, the five of you finally made it to the Boneyard at its peak hour.
Linking arms, you all strutted down the beach, ready for your mission.
The four scattered when you reached the sea of people, leaving you to locate the blonde target. After a few minutes of searching, you couldn’t find a single trace of him or any of his friends.
Heading over to the keg, you poured yourself a drink in hopes it would loosen your raging nerves. It also didn’t help that Maia’s bikini top was hardly covering your nipples. You knew a nip slip was just waiting to happen at some point in the night.
You casually sipped your drink and circled the party again, catching a glimpse of the wavy-haired boy at the beer pong area.
JJ slammed his fists on the table after landing another shot.
“Fuck yes! One last shot and your ass is grass!” he belted to his competitors: two random tourist boys who were chugging at a ridiculously slow pace. JJ then proceeded to high-five his friend, John B, who you also recognize from school.
“Don’t be a coward,” you muttered to yourself before striding to the crowd clamoring around a fold-out table.
From the sides, you attempted a few of the “flirty glances” Arabella taught you but no luck. The boy would much rather bounce a ping-pong ball.
You resorted to crossing your arms and waiting for the game to be over. With no surprise, JJ and John B won as the tourons groaned and withered away to the bonfire.
“That’s right baby! Undefeated!” JJ gloated with his hands smugly flung in the air.
“Alright who’s next?” John B shouted, earning no response from the herd.
Welp... it’s now or never.
“I’ll play,” you volunteered and stuck your hand up. You could feel JJ staring at you quizzically.
“Alright, alright we have a challenger! But who’s your partner?” John B asked. You wanted to slap yourself for not thinking this through properly.
“I’ll do it,” a deep voice spoke behind you. You whirled around to meet eyes with none other than Pope. He stood cooly behind you with a beer in hand.
You originally planned to avoid him at all costs during the party. But that all went down the drain as he set down his drink and started ordering the cups in a pyramid formation.
“You’re going down Heyward!” JJ hollered, taking the first shot. The ball glided into the first cup with ease. John B’s shot followed, but bounced off to the side.
Your partner grabbed the beer and hurled it down instantly, using his wrist to wipe his mouth. You snatched the fallen ball on the ground while Pope nodded for you to go first.
So this might have been the first time you’ve every played beer pong in your life. But, in your defense, you’ve done it a million times on your phone. It couldn’t be that hard.
You tossed the first shot and it wheezed over all the cups. Whoops.
“This is too easy,” JJ jeered, eyeing Pope as he made the next throw. It landed in one of the back cups and John B swallowed the contents down.
“Sorry, I’m just off my game today,” you mumbled to your partner.
“Nah, don’t worry about it. You wanna know my trick?” Pope raised as another one of JJ’s balls flew into one of your cups. You raised your brows as he handed you the beer.
“The more drunk you are, the better you play.”
Guzzling down the liquid luck, you fingered another ball and took your aim. Flinging it towards the mass, you gasped when it actually landed into the center cup.
“Oh my God!” you cheered as Pope’s face mimicked yours. He high-fived you with both hands as you bounced up and down in glee.
“That’s what I’m talking about y/n!”
For the rest of the game you and Pope played neck-and-neck with the other two, continuously making shots and chugging down beer. His tactic worked. You were on fire.
The flock around you chanted your name every time you scored. You could see your friends hanging around in the far corner hollering your name and sending you thumbs ups.
It was game point as both teams had one target left. It was their turn. JJ took the stage, chucking the ball skillfully. Much to your demise, it swirled along the rim before plopping in. JJ roared out in victory.
“Hold your horses,” Pope interjected with a finger in the air, “We still have redemption.”
“Let’s see it then,” John B panted, worn out from the tension.
“You got this.” Pope patted you on the back and handed you the ball.
Your eyes bursted. “W-What? No no no, Pope you go.”
“Relax, y/n! I believe in you. Just focus.”
You gulped and turned to the boys taunting you across the table. Saying the quickest Hail Mary in your head, you launched the ball and had to shut your eyes.
A sudden rush of shrieks alarmed you. Peeling your eyes open, you saw both JJ and John B’s jaws plummet to the ground.
It went in.
“Now that’s what the fuck is up!” Pope hurled his fist at this chest. You were frozen in utter disbelief. Maybe the Gods were in your favor.
Pope added two more cups to your side of the table as John B copied his actions. The four of you went at it a few more times before you were one-and-one again. Both John B and JJ missed and the balls rolled back over to you.
Taking the first shot again, you slung the ball, but it flew off the rim. You were chattering on your nails as Pope proceeded to make his attempt.
One swish and the ball landed straight in the hole.
You both jolted up in the air, doing a little victory dance. JJ shushed you- ready to go for his redemption kill. His ball missed the cup by a hair and John B’s slid off the table, deeming you and Pope the winners.
In your exhilarated drunken state, you threw your arms around Pope, and he let out a soft chuckle. You hastily pulled away after you realized what you were doing. Thankfully, the crestfallen losers immediately came over to shake your hands and say “Good game.”
JJ’s hands hung onto yours a moment longer. He studied you with his eyes before treading away towards the bonfire.
As winners, you and Pope stayed a few more rounds before getting beat out. You noticed JJ come back to watch you for a few rounds, eyes fixated on your every move.
After shaking hands with the girls who beat you, you waved a confused Pope goodbye and jogged over towards the drink area for water. In the corner of your eye, you saw JJ hurry up to you with giddiness.
“That was some game you played out there,” he complimented as you swigged down your water.
“Thanks! Guess I just got lucky back there.”
He leaned both arms on the table, raising his brows suggestively. “Might just be your lucky night then.”
Oh brother.
You threw him an uneasy smile and treaded away to the dancing crowd. Of course, he followed you, struggling to keep up with your pace.
“Hey, what’s your name? I’ve never seen you around before.”
You scoffed low enough to where he couldn’t hear. Never seen you? You’ve been in the same classes since second grade.
“I’m y/n.” You slowed down a bit, remembering your sworn duty.
“Well I’m JJ. JJ Maybank.” He flashed you a toothy smile.
You stopped amidst the dancers as a popular, high-beat electronic song came on. You flung you hands around JJ’s neck and pulled him close. “Dance with me, JJ Maybank.”
The two of you rocked back and forth for a while before the music transitioned to a provocative rap song. Both you and the light-haired boy rapped the entire first verse with ease, giggling once the chorus hit.
“So... how come I’ve never seen you at one of these parties?”
You shrugged tossing him a look of disinterest. “Not really my thing.”
He tugged you in so his forehead was on yours. “Then what is your thing then, hm? What’s a cute girl like you up to all summer?”
“I’m a surfing instructor.”
“Is that so? You know, I’m a pretty good surfer myself...” His hands traced down to your swaying hips.
“I’ll be the judge of that,” you retorted, running your hands up and down his biceps flirtatiously.
It was probably the alcohol doing all the work, because in that moment, you knew you were being absolutely irresistible to the boy who’s hands were burning to stay in the... respectful areas.
“Maybe one day I can show you,” JJ rasped. You barely heard him through the booming of the speakers, but still locked eyes with him alluringly.
“Mmm, don’t really have time for amateurs.”
“Ouch... feisty aren’t we?” His lips were millimeters from yours.
“Please, you know you like it.” You decided to close the gap.
Boy, were his lips soft. His chiseled hands made way to tangle up in your hair as he expertly kissed you amongst the throng of people. He slid his tongue into your mouth, and you could feel how hungry he was.
You stopped after a minute, purposely cutting it short. His eyes were aching for more, but you refused. You wanted to starve him.
“Wanna get out of here? There’s a cool place on the beach I can show you,” he asked, fingers toying with the back string of your bikini.
You shrugged. “Why not.”
Smirking, JJ’s hand snaked around your waist as he led you to the back trees of the Boneyard. You approached a small patch of sand enclosed by a circle of trees, and it all clicked in your head. This was his sex hideout.
You glanced around the spot. The moon beamed straight into it, and the leaves of the trees hung down fancifully. In its own weird way, it was kind of romantic- if you didn’t think about how many times he’s taken people there to fuck.
He tugged you towards the center, wrapping you in his muscular arms.
“You’re the cutest girl I’ve ever seen. I could just eat you up,” he muttered seductively, nipping at the sides of your jawline.
You were beginning to understand it now- his irresistibility. The guy was charming. You let him kiss you for a little bit until you felt him undo your back bikini string.
You quickly jerked away, tying it back into a bow.
“You know what, I think I’m good,” you said abruptly, backing away.
JJ looked as if someone offered a kid ice cream and knocked the cone off the second he was about to dive in for the first taste. “Wait! Where are you going?” he urged.
“Away.”
His face flooded in disbelief as he let out a loud scoff, darting after you as you jogged back to the dancing pack.
“Wait! Y/n come back!” he called out.
“What for? I’m not sleeping with you JJ!” you shouted, making sure everyone around you heard.
When his face went beet-red you knew you work was done.
You sped up the sand, out of sight, to Annalise’s car where your friends were circled. They whooped and cheered at your presence.
“We saw everything!” Maia exclaimed, hauling you in for a bone-tight hug.
“That was so awesome! Y/n, you’re my hero!” Arabella chimed in while you all crammed into the Mercedes.
“Ladies, ladies,” Annalise began before pulling out of the parking lot, “Tonight we celebrate the fall of JJ Maybank!”
The car erupted in drunk glee as everyone swaddled you from their seats.
As you drove back to the condo, Sophia rolled down her window from the backseat and stuck out her head.
“Fuck you JJ Maybank!”

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
September 13, 2021
Heather Cox Richardson
As the coronavirus continues to burn across the United States, Republicans are maintaining their opposition to President Joe Biden’s new requirement that certain groups, including those who work at companies that employ more than 100 people, should either be vaccinated or be tested frequently for the virus. They insist that vaccination should be voluntary, but have no solution to the new spike in coronavirus infections and deaths.
In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis is threatening to sue cities that impose vaccine requirements, saying such mandates will hurt the economy by threatening jobs. More than 11,215 Florida residents are currently hospitalized with Covid-19.
More than 243,000 children tested positive for the virus last week, the second highest number of pediatric cases since the pandemic started. About 2200 are currently hospitalized.
Democrats continue to develop the infrastructure measure they expect to pass through reconciliation, thus being able to steer the bill through the Senate without facing a filibuster (budget reconciliation bills can’t be filibustered). A recent poll conducted for CNN by the independent research firm SSRS found that 93% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents think it is important to the party’s identity to believe that the federal government should do more to help people.
The price tag on the new measure is currently around $3.5 trillion. As E. J. Dionne points out in the Washington Post, that number covers 10 years of spending, a period of time in which the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), which measures the value of production, is expected to be $288 trillion. So that $3.5 trillion makes up around just 1.2 percent of the economy. It’s a big number, but not a large percentage for an investment in childcare, elder care, education, and addressing climate change.
The Democrats propose to fund the bill not with deficit spending alone, as so many of our investments have been funded of late, but by cutting spending elsewhere and by raising revenue by restoring some of the taxes Republicans cut in 2017. The Democrats also propose raising taxes on individuals who make more than $400,000 a year, or couples who make more than $450,000 a year. There is a growing impulse to level the economic playing field in this country as growing inequality makes the news more frequently. As Dr. Gabriel Zucman, an economist at the University of California at Berkeley, told Washington Post reporter Jeff Stein, the wealth of the top 400 people in the U.S. has increased by $1.4 trillion since 2019.
While the moderate Democrats and the progressive wing of the party are sparking breathless news stories as they hash out their differences, it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that Republicans refuse to participate in this process at all.
Perhaps the biggest breaking news today, although it, too, is a continuation of a longer theme, is that, in California’s recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom, the campaign website of challenger Republican Larry Elder, a right-wing talk show host, is already claiming he lost the election because of fraud. “Statistical analyses used to detect fraud in elections held in 3rd-world nations (such as Russia, Venezuela, and Iran) have detected fraud in California resulting in Governor Gavin Newsom being reinstated as governor,” the website says. "The primary analytical tool used was Benford’s Law and can be readily reproduced."
But the election isn’t until tomorrow.
The theme that Democrats win elections only by cheating became popular in Republican circles after the 1993 Motor Voter Act, which made it easier for poor people to vote. Republicans said Democrats, who passed the measure, were simply packing elections with their own voters. There was not then, and there is not now, evidence of widespread fraud in American elections.
Former president Donald Trump harped on the idea that Democrats cheated in the 2016 election—he insisted he would have won the popular vote as well as the vote in the Electoral College if it hadn’t been for fraudulent Democratic votes—and that idea is, of course, at the heart of his complaint about Biden’s election in 2020. There is no evidence for these accusations; they are lies. And yet, that recent CNN/SSRS poll found that 59% of Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents think believing that Trump won the 2020 election is important to their identity as Republicans.
California has about half as many registered Republicans as it does registered Democrats, and Newsom won in 2018 by almost 24 percentage points, so if Newsom wins tomorrow’s election it will hardly be an upset. But Elder is already claiming fraud and refusing to say he will accept the results of the election—the same playbook Trump used in 2016 and 2020. Tonight, a pastor at a rally for Elder prayed: “We don’t even look at the polls because we are looking to you, Lord. Lord, we pray that you would take down the current government…. We ask this state will be set free, and you would start with Larry Elder.”
If losers in a democracy refuse to accept the legitimacy of elections, the system falls apart.
The growing radicalism of the Republican Party is putting pressure on Democrats to pass a voting rights act to counteract the vote-suppressing measures that Republican-dominated states are enacting. Today, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he hopes to bring a voting rights bill backed by West Virginia Democratic senator Joe Manchin to the floor for a vote as early as next week.

prompt fill #1
@duraffinity said: I adore “Public Relations” and would love to see the next chapter soon. As for a new prompt, what about a scenario where Bill is forced to introduce Alec to Virginia for the first time? (Lots of uncomfortable tension, I’m sure, but might be an interesting challenge.)
PG | Alec Hardy/Bill Masters | Broadchurch/Masters of Sex | Awkwardness | Awkwardness is both the warning and summary.
There were certainly ideal situations to introduce one’s current lover to one’s former mistress.  However, Bill was at a loss to figure out a less ideal time and place.
It had felt like a superb idea to squeeze in the small matter of signing some necessary papers during the extended layover between the plane that brought them to the US and the one that would take them to meet Libby and the children.  Bill was not a fan of faxing or mail and in abstract it had felt like a perfect solution to meet Virginia in the lobby of the hotel they’d booked for the layover.
What he must have forgotten was how fucking long a flight from the US to the UK was.  He must have completely blocked out the memory of this terrible, nagging jet lag and the utter disorientation of having his entire sense of time destroyed.  To say that he was in a foul mood was putting the truth so lightly it seemed like a joke.
Alec was not in a foul mood because he was almost certainly still asleep.  The fact that his sleeping corpse had managed to animate itself long enough to cover the distance from the terminal to the lobby was a miracle that could not sustain itself much longer.  He was wilting under the extended pressure of staying on his feet, shifting his weight back and forth like a baby being rocked in a cradle, doing his best to keep his eyes open as Bill went through the mundane tasks of checking them into the hotel.
Virginia arrived after they received their key and before they were able to leave the lobby to find their room.  Even the idea of being able to splash some cool water on his face and the notion that he could draw the curtains and sleep off the worst of this exhaustion was so refreshing that he felt like he might start crying at the very sound of her voice.
“You look like hell, Bill,” she said with a sweet smile.  All her attempts to communicate that he was meant to introduce her to the man standing just behind his left shoulder were lost on him.  So, she had to clear her throat to say, “and this is?”
Bill had to turn to see Alec because just then his brain felt more like a bowl of cooling oatmeal than anything.  He squinted at Alec who was working up to making himself presentable enough to be introduced (and failing), “oh yes, of course.  Virginia this is Alec Hardy.  Alec, this is Virginia my business partner.”
Virginia was smiling at him, but there was pity in it.  She stuck her hand out to shake Alec’s and the poor man managed to meet her somewhere in the middle (although a bit delayed).  “It’s lovely to finally meet you.”
“Yes,” Alec said.  He seemed to visibly struggle for any other words (and Bill could understand, staying on their feet at this point was asking too much), “and you.  And,” he dropped his hand away from hers with a nod, “sorry for your loss.”
(With a devastatingly sincere motion at Bill to indicate he was meant to be the loss she suffered.)
Virginia’s whole face went slack in a millisecond and almost as quick her mouth snapped shut and the wrinkles at the edges of her eyes folded up in sparkling amusement.  “Well,” she choked out, “I do try to go on as best I can.”
“Right,” Alec said.  “Room key?”
Bill couldn’t breath because he couldn’t trust his lungs not to erupt in a great volcano of giggles as soon as he did.  He couldn’t wedge a word out of his clenched throat, he could even hiss a sound through his teeth.  No, he just handed over the card without making eye contact and stared directly down at the floor (and nowhere else) when Alec took it.
If he heard the man mutter, “I’ll just go and throw myself off the bloody roof,” as he turned to leave, well he certainly wouldn’t admit to it.
Virginia had her hand folded over her mouth so tightly it was leaving pressure pink marks on her cheeks.  Her eyes were filling up tears as she watched over his shoulder until Alec made it to the elevator and only after the doors had closed and there was the pretense of privacy did she start laughing.  There were tears on her face when she wheezed, “he’s perfect for you,” before she set into crying with laughter again.

Why to Opt for the Best Platform Lift in Lynchburg and Danville, Virginia
Platform lifts are an excellent substitute for stairs and wheelchairs. They can be easily installed around the house or along existing residential stairs and quickly paved to open up spaces for pedestrians. It is lightweight and doesn't require a lot of technical work. It can also be coated against the elements for outdoor use. Unlike wheelchairs, they can be used not only at home but also outside of the home. Yes, it helps the elderly and the disabled get access to different parts of the house without being dependent, but it is used for many purposes. For example, it allows homeowners to carry heavy stuff and equipment from the first floor to the second floor. It is usually easy to use for this type of task. Inclined stairs can be installed both inside and outside the stairway without major architectural modifications. There are several types of models on the market. The advanced platform lift in Lynchburg and Danville, Virginia comes in variety - operated by both electricity and battery. So, one can opt for according to one’s needs. It's also too quiet and soft to start and stop, for there's no sound. The price varies by model and application. They can also be classified according to the structure and residential requirements. Before getting one for home or office, it’s advisable to research online to find all the models and designs available on the market. One can get an idea from the prices of different models. Good research is always helpful in finding the best option available on the market. Two types of platform lifts can solve internal problems. They can solve the most significant issues of people living on the second floor. The first is a platform lift, and the second is an inclined platform lift. The vertical lifting platform is one of the most popular indoor and outdoor lifts for people with disabilities. It provides simple and practical solutions to potentially tricky problems. The platform lift can be used in all kinds of places, including living rooms, hotels, restaurants, shops, museums, churches, galleries, and educational institutions. It can be designed to cover multiple or multiple floors of a building. This vertical lift type is almost standard in US companies and is becoming increasingly popular in the local real estate sector. It takes up little space, can be quickly and installed by a dedicated team, and only the shallowest "pits" will do. The vertical indoor lift can accommodate six people or a supervised wheelchair. These elevators can generally travel up to 12m or about six different platforms than most public and private buildings. One of the main advantages of the vertical lifting platform over other manual lifts is that the maneuvering mechanism is fixed to the lift, so there is no need for a separate engine room or box outside the lift. Indoor vertical lifts are generally customizable to one’s needs and offer various unloading options, including side and front exit options. Irrespective of options, one should find the right stairlift service in Lynchburg and Salem, Virginia, for ultimate efficiency and functionality of the system.
