b) Section 24: While repaying the interest on your home loan, you can enjoy a tax benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh. This rule is applicable in case of a self-occupied property. In case, you wish to rent out your property, no maximum limit is set on the tax benefit amount.
c) Tax Benefit on Home Loans: This section states that on the interest repayment, you can claim Rs 50,000 extra as a tax benefit amount.
3. Deduction on Subsidy Slabs
The government also offers an interest subsidy scheme, within which, the first-time home buyers will be provided with financial assistance to purchase 2 bhk flats in Raj Nagar Extension or at any other property in Ghaziabad. Two new slabs in the subsidy are introduced, which centres at meeting the objective of ‘housing for all’ by 2022. Buyers with income slab of 12 lakh will be given 4% interest subsidy, while buyers with income slab of 18 lakh will be given 3% interest subsidy.
With these benefits and schemes, it is definitely easier to purchase a home now. Future expects more benefit to come. So, owning a home going to be easier with time.

The residents of Savy Ville De in Rajnagar Extension have united against their builder, Ascent Constructions, as it has failed to provide even the basic amenities.
The residents told City Spidey that the builder has wrongly placed the circuit panels, leading to frequent power disruptions. Also, the back-up generators are not efficient enough to cater to the needs of the society.
Sanjay Shah, AOA president, said, “During powercuts, the generators tend to get overloaded and trip multiple times.”
“We have had incidents where lifts stopped midway due to overload in back-up generators. The situation is so bad that the elderly have stopped taking lifts during powercuts,” he added.

The construction of society is yet to be finished. Out of the four towers and a total of 800 flats, people are already staying in three and one is under construction.
There are several other construction issues as well. The residents are unable to use the swimming pool because of structural faults. The base of the pool has a hidden crack, which leads to leakage of water in the basement.
Residents are also not happy about the undelivered club house. Although they have a gym, the equipment is barely sufficient.
Savy Ville De AOA is also a member of Federation of Apartments Owners Association (FedAOA), Ghaziabad. Last month, FedAOA president Alok Kumar and Shah had filed a written complaint to the GDA vice-chairperson on the various problems persisting in the society.
However, no action has been taken against the builder thus far.
Kumar lashed out, “Someone must investigate why the enforcement team is not taking action against the builder. We have to see why the GDA failed to take account of the issue! Is it because of political pressure, or simply its noncommittal attitude?”
City Spidey tried to contact builder several times, but calls and messages went unanswered.
