After over a decade of absence, I finally brought her back. Welcome back, Flare Siram - one of my oldest OCs now redesigned as a Dnd character My long running joke is every Dnd character I've ever played and will play in the future is all part of the same adventures guild. I named it the Siram Guild after my username (@flaresiram on my main blog), but it felt off not to actually make Flare the guild master. So here I am making a potential playable character for the future! Flare's a Crystal Dragonborn, Divine Soul Sorcerer. She looks fluffy from a distance but upon closer inspection she's made of thousands of shards of crystal. Heavily inspired by Marta Klonowska's glass sculptures, but definitely in a more manageable way for drawing! Also, making her a Divine Soul Sorcerer is a fun way of shaping all of her fire related abilities into divine fire since all three of the characters loosely based off of me has to have somethin' to do with fire I kept a decent chunk of her original design. Taking inspiration from Haku from Spirited Away to give her a wolfish face but still an eastern dragon. Her side hair strands became her whiskers, and she still has a similar red and white color palette. I'm actually leaning into old lore that she was some kinda rainbow wolf, but this time it's just the stylistic sheen of her crystal scales reflecting an array of colors as she moves I'm really happy with the final design. Can't wait to one day play her in the future!

The Three Flames Flare Siram, Cecilia "Kee" David, and Yoyola Silang Leagallow all have two things in common - all three of them have some sort of fire motif, and all three of them are loosely based off of me in some way. Two of them are Dnd characters, two of them are dragons, and two of them are explicitly Filipino. It's fun to draw them all together to spot their similarities and differences. This was also a practice piece for me for hair and clothes animation both traditional and rigged. Also thanks @skullymingo for teaching me some comp for this shot!

It's always fun when I get to draw the character that's also my username Flare and Kee are practically one in the same in both personality and abilities. The only difference is that Flare has no association to dragons n' such. Also...technically back in junior high this was my fursona before fursonas were even a thing, or at least I think. Whatever the case is, a big reason why I look back at these *cough cough* interesting...OCs is 'cause I still keep one of their names alive
