Elevator ending theory?

Before dropping the elevator, Gregory says:

“We can't risk being followed”

But he also says that he's “down here”, so maybe, Gregory did get trapped underground. He tells Cassie that he isn't at the Pizzaplex but maybe that's because he isn't under the Pizzaplex but underneath the basement, to the point where it can't be considered “The Pizzaplex” anymore. He could've crashed the elevator so that Cassie can come to him, without risking the mimic following by using the elevator.

P.S: This doesn't make actual sense because while it's possible that Gregory, Vanessa and Freddy got trapped alongside the mimic while trying to lure it, the mimic could've used the elevator before Cassie came to reach them (except it didn't know that they were beneath it)

P. P. S: Just realized that you need the Faz-wrench to activate the elevator so it does Make sense.

Kinda went crazy with an idea of retooling security breach ruin. essentially Cassie finds and fixes Bonnie who accompanies her through the not-so ruined pizzaplex. Also my friend thought that it'd be neat for Freddy to have adopted the superstar nickname from Bonnie since he has all the star imagery. we're by no means original but this was all super fun.

The confusing fact that the Mimic knows where we are and what we are doing in RUIN while Freddy knows where we are and what we are doing in Security Breach...

You could say it's because of the Vanny mask/fazwatch, since the mimic is connected to the Vanny mask through helpi and Gregory's fazwatch optains a map. But Freddy knows that you enter an office even before you optain the map.

So it still doesn't make exactly sense. But fnaf never makes 100% sense. I'm only questioning things like this (unlike most others) because it doesn't get pointed out and it's a good question, no?
