Walt, during the testing phase of the Jungle Cruise, with Designer and Disney Legend Harper Goff (left), who was born on this day, March 16th in 1911. Harper was not only a key figure in the design of Disneyland, he is also known for creating the Nautilus for the film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), as well as art directing the non-Disney films Fantastic Voyage (1966) and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971). Multi-talented, he was also an actor and a banjo player in the Firehouse Five Plus Two.
