Summary:

Poe Dameron, a Resistance employee, has always been fascinated by the supernatural, so under the company, he starts a show, called Unsolved, retelling supernatural events from history and visiting haunted locations with his long-time friends and co-workers Jessika Pava and Snap Wexley.

Near the end of the first season however Jess has to leave due to scheduling issues and Snap, newly married to Kare, is expecting a baby, leaving Poe with the rest of the season to film and no one to help him.

On a whim, Poe decides to ask fellow employee and family friend Rey Skywalker and her best friend Finn Storm to accompany him.

Whether it’s the best or worst decision Poe has ever made, he’s not quite sure, but it was bound to change his life forever.

When Finn's new roommate said he was a ghost hunter, he thought it was code related to his actual job at the history museum. Then the phone calls started, and next thing Finn knows he's off to investigate weird noises at some abandoned shoe factory two towns over.

During the week, you can use any prompts from the bingo in any way you interpret it. Be either a Creator or a Spectator you are welcome to download and edit the bingo to show which prompts you chose. You may combine several prompts to get a Bingo! or create separate entries, or challenge yourself with two spectator task after creating something with one prompt.

🍭Rules 

Remember to tag your entries as #FinnPoeHalloweenBingo2023 and if your are posting on Ao3 remember the post under the collection ‘FinnPoe Halloween Bingo 2023’

No ship or character bashing, this event is a FinnPoe-centric event so entries should depict them as the main romantic interests, even if the entry is platonic

Fanfics, fancams, fanart, moodboards, gifsets and head canons are all welcome!

Combining of prompts is also allowed

Entries can be NSFW but remember to tag them accordingly especially when it comes to fanart

OCs are allowed as long as FinnPoe are the focus of the entry

Though participants are encouraged to post during the provided time frame we will continue to share entries until the next event

As this is a fandom event even if you are not actively participating in either the bingo or the spectator checklist we like to encourage you all to still share, retweet, reblog comment or review pieces submitted by participants.

🍬FAQ 

Why hold a Halloween event?

Much like FinnPoe Week this event will allow creatives in the FinnPoe fandom to come together for a week to celebrate the ship and create works for them. With the added bonus of it specifically centring Halloween, this will allow for stories that are unique. 

What does it involve?

During October 23-31, you guys will be given a bingo card with 9 prompts, from which you are free to choose as many prompts as you would like in order to make content for FinnPoe. 

Do I have to write or make new content for the event?

While we would encourage new content, it's okay to repurpose old work as long as it hasn't been posted before (unless you are rewriting, redrawing or re-editing said work and will be creating a new and separate post for it.)

How involved do I have to be?

We encourage everyone to be involved however we understand that everyone has lives outside of FinnPoe (unfortunately) so it's entirely okay to participate as little or as much as you want. If you don’t want to create anything but would still like to participate as a spectator, we would encourage you guys to check out our spectator activities.

How can I participate?

Easy! Create a piece of media centring FinnPoe using one or more of the prompts on the bingo and post it using the tags or under the Ao3 collection.

How can I participate if I don’t want to/are not able to create new content?

We have a spectator checklist which includes a range of activities in order to celebrate the event and support the creators who are participating. 

What tags should I use?

For this event please use #FinnPoeHalloweenBingo2023 for your entries to be eligible. In addition to this, we would also encourage you to use #finnpoe, #stormpilot and any other tags relevant to the post. If your entry is NSFW please tag it as such. 

Will there be an AO3 collection?

Yes, the collection is called ‘FinnPoe Halloween Bingo 2023’

Where do I submit my pieces?

You can submit your works on tumblr, twitter, instagram and Ao3. Please let us know if you want to submit to other sites as well. 

Can I submit early?

While you guys are more than welcome to prepare early, please do not post your submissions before their respective days or it might get messy for all involved.

Can I submit late?

Absolutely! We are taking submissions for this event up until our next one.

When is the deadline? Is there a specific timezone?

There is no hard deadline and we’re not going off a specific time zone either, so you are free to post according to your timezone. 

Do I need to make full-on masterpieces?

You absolutely can but it is not necessary. A simple sketch, a first draft of a fic, a snippet of an edit or their equivalent is also fine. 

Why have themes or prompts?

Themes provide coherence and inspiration. Without them, people will either create whatever they want and there’s no order or purpose to the event OR people get stuck on what they want to do and end up doing nothing. We will have a free day to allow for more freedom and flexibility. With the addition of this being an event specific to Halloween this will allow content creators to consider new avenues for an already beloved ship. 

Do we win anything if we complete the bingo or spectator checklist?

The first three people to DM us to show that they have finished off all the prompts on the bingo (with evidence) will be able to suggest a prompt for next year’s FinnPoe Week. The same goes for those who have completed the checklist.
