omg, i would be down for this. I always love a good fae au. I actually made a Neka C.C based on a possible Fae au a while back

Manipulative Fae Adler Brainrot

Thinking about writing an au with Bell and Adler based on @ghouljams fae au but so far I only have vibes and no plot

But just imagine:

Bell works for Perseus, another fae who Adler is feuding with, and to get back at him, Adler steals his prize human right out from underneath him. Adler has the power to subtly manipulate people's minds/memories and so he implants himself in Bells memories as a longtime friend while isolating them from their life. When Bell emerges again, they don't remember their time with Perseus, and are determined to help Adler bring him down. Maybe throw in some angst about them remembering their time with Perseus in vivid, gradual flashbacks. Eventually he reveals himself and Bell realizes that they've been at the mercy of not one but 2 fae assholes.

Orrrrr

Bell has little to no idea about the fae world and falls victim to Alder fucking with their mind. He inserts himself into their life and slowly isolates them from their friends and gives Bell false memories of their friendship with him. Eventually, once he has Bell so wrapped up in his tethers that he could stop them from breathing if he felt like it, he reveals himself. Bell has to face the horrifying realization that they're trapped in a world they know nothing about by a creature they know nothing about and they can't even trust their own mind.

Either way, Bell quietly starts looking for ways to escape from Adler's tethers and disappear from his life, and they make it. Only for Adler to do the impossible and track them down a few years later, where the story begins.
