https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_A._Altman#BCCI_trial
From 1978 to 1982, Altman and Clifford represented a group of wealthy Arab businessmen, including members of the royal family from Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia in their efforts to acquire a multi-state bank holding company, Financial General Bankshares. The Arab investors used a British bank, Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) as their financial advisor in this transaction. Following the acquisition, Altman became President of Financial General which was renamed First American Corporation.[7][8]
In 1991, it was alleged that BCCI, the financial adviser to the Arab shareholders and their "communications link" had acquired by means of offshore loans that were in default, the shares of the Arab investors in First American. Questions were raised whether the Arab investors had falsely represented to bank regulators the true ownership of First American.[9] During the ensuing investigations, Altman and Clifford testified at length before Congress, federal and state grand juries, and the Federal Reserve. Audits of First American by the Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller, and state banking agencies confirmed that the bank had been operated under Altman's management without any BCCI influence.[10]
After the BCCI trial, Altman resumed his Washington, D.C. legal practice. In 1999, he co-founded ZeniMax Media with Bethesda Softworks founder Christopher Weaver as a new parent company of Bethesda.[16] Altman was brought in as CEO with Weaver serving as CTO.[17]
Altman served as ZeniMax Media's chief executive officer and chairman until his death.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Trump
He served on the board of directors for ZeniMax Media, parent company to Bethesda Softworks, a position he occupied from 1999[12] until his death in 2020.[13] During his tenure as a director, ZeniMax published series including Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Doom, and Wolfenstein. His role at the company was highlighted by media outlets in the wake of the Parkland school shooting, when his brother linked video games to violence and subsequently met with various industry chiefs,[14][15] including Robert Altman, CEO of ZeniMax.[16] In addition to being a Board member at ZeniMax, Trump was also an investor in the company.[17]

Elysion Congress Centre Eindhoven Brainport
Elysion Congress Centre Eindhoven Brainport, Dutch UNStudio Building, ECC Netherlands Project News
Elysion Congress Centre Eindhoven Brainport by UNStudio
12 May 2021
Elysion Congress Centre Eindhoven Brainport News
Design: UNStudio
UNStudio in the winning consortium for the design, build, finance and operation of a landmark Congress and Conference Centre in the Netherlands.
Brainport Eindhoven is currently one of the leading innovative technology regions in Europe. To enhance its international positioning as an inspiring region of technology, design and knowledge, the Dutch city of Eindhoven has the ambition to realise a clearly identifiable, new, state of the art congress and conference centre.
A competition was therefore organised in 2020 inviting proposals for the design of a highly visible building, in addition to finding a consortium that can build, finance and operate a congress and conference centre on an international level.
To form the Elysion Consortium, DVP (Diepenhorst de Vos and Partners) and UNStudio decided to join forces with Van der Valk as client/operator and Huybregts Relou as contractor. Together with the design team of Van der Valk, Tielemans for structure and Quant Architecture, the team was completed with additional specialists in theatre technology and acoustics (PBTA), MEP and BREEAM (DVP smart concepts), Cost consultancy (ISIS bouwadvies) and future congress (Sixfingers).
In their proposal, the Elysion Consortium proposed extending the current Van der Valk Congress and Event location, which also houses hotel and restaurant facilities and is located at the border of a large parkland area that enjoys excellent connections to both Eindhoven Airport and the city centre. By so doing, the proposal facilitates the renovation and expansion of existing facilities, thereby limiting its impact on both the city centre and the environment.
On Thursday, April 29th, after careful assessment based on the award criteria, the members of the multidisciplinary assessment committee individually gave a positive opinion on the Elysion tender and the provisional award was granted to the Elysion consortium.
The consortium’s ambition is to expand the existing multifunctional space to a total area of 4,000 m2 and add a new 1,500 capacity flexible auditorium with a vertical foyer housing breakout spaces and catering areas.
The design
UNStudio’s Design Proposal for the Elysion Congress Centre (ECC) has been structured around 5 architectural interventions:
High impact landmark, low impact on surroundings The challenge for the city to create a landmark building, alongside the challenge for Van der Valk to maintain operations during the construction process, resulted in a unique design solution in which the extension of the congress centre is placed next to the existing building, while the auditorium is placed on top of the conference centre building.
This large cantilevered auditorium structure makes it possible to keep the existing hotel and conference centre fully operational during construction, while creating a clearly identifiable building with access to green parkland, excellent connections and space for logistics.
A foyer that connects people and programme
With its wooden staircases and vertical green gardens, the foyer functions as the main connector from the ground floor through the different levels of the building. This vertical foyer also houses multiple areas for relaxing, working and informal meeting for visitors. In addition, the foyer connects the entrances to the congress and conference areas, with multiple bars and access to outside spaces. It also functions as the connector for all the facilities and main logistics.
Green surroundings and a sustainable approach
The ECC is located at the border of the ‘Genneper Parken’, a large green space between the ring road (Brainport Avenue), the high-tech campus and the city centre.
The integration of the project into the Genneper Parken is visible on multiple levels. The park landscape flows onto the roof and under the elevated building. Visitors can relax on the roof or in the shade under the building and enjoy a healthy juice or a coffee before moving on. The Genneper Parken also houses large sport facilities, and as such acts as a driver for physical, mental and social health.
In the Elysion proposal, a part of the existing hotel building will also be demolished to strengthen the ecology of the adjoining ‘beekdal Tongelreep’ – an important waterway and brook valley with high scenic, ecological and cultural-historical value.
The facade of the congress centre is principally made from wood and glass. The ambition is to couple this with nitrogen dioxide absorbing surfaces – an innovative new nano-technology that can capture pollutants from its surroundings.
The new buildings will also be energy positive, generating more energy than they consume. By using innovative bromide flow batteries, energy can be stored for use during peak times. In addition, the location houses the largest regional charging station for electrical cars. The green ambition for the project is also expressed in the application for a BREEAM Outstanding rating for the design.
A new mobility hub for Brainport
The expansion of the congress facilities also necessitates an extension in the number of hotel rooms, parking spaces and leisure facilities. To accommodate this, the intention is to create a second hotel tower that manifests sport and leisure, while the parking area is a green extension, placed alongside Brainport Avenue.
By creating a sustainable mobility hub – with the existing park and ride and the new parking facilities – the location can not only become one of the main charging stations for electrical cars, it can also offer green alternatives for travel to Eindhoven city centre, such as the HOV connection, bicycles and other means of smart transportation.
A flexible solution for feasible exploitation
In order to ensure financial feasibility during exploitation, a proposal was developed to create a flexible and hybrid design for the 1,500-seat auditorium.
By creating different configurations within the conference space, the auditorium can be divided into four independent smaller auditoria, enabling smaller conferences to take place simultaneously within the building. When configured in this way, retractable seating also makes it possible for the lower auditorium to be used as a banquet hall while the other conference rooms are in use. In addition, a recording studio located in the conference centre will make it possible to host hybrid online and live events.
The main structure of the auditorium is built from a combination of wood and steel, while a large window provides visitors to the auditorium with a spectacular view to the skyline of Eindhoven.
The new congress centre has become part of the region-deal Brainport Eindhoven, within which 7 million euro has been made available towards its realisation. The ambition is for this new facility to be completed in 2025.
The Elysion Consortium comprises the following parties:
– Van der Valk: operator – UNStudio: architect – Quant architecture: architect – PBTA: theatre technology and acoustics – Adviesbureau Tielemans: structural engineer – DVP Smart Concepts: MEP and BREEAM – ISIS Bouwadvies: cost consultancy – Huybregts Relou: D&B contractor and BREEAM – DVP: Project management and tender management

Filld Announces $15 Million in Series B Funding, Co-Led by Parkland Fuel Corporation and Calibrate Ventures
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Filld, the last mile mobile fueling company, announced today that it raised $15 million in Series B funding co-led by Parkland Fuel Corporation (“Parkland”) and Calibrate Ventures with participation from previous investors, including Cendana Capital, Lucas Venture Group, Javelin Venture Partners and Hallador Investment Advisors. Parkland is Canada’s largest and one of North America’s fastest growing independent marketers of fuel and petroleum products and a leading convenience store operator.
The funding signals growing support for mobile fueling as traditional retail gas stations navigate changing mobility trends, such as shifting vehicle use patterns, the rise of on-demand and shared vehicles, connected cars and autonomous fleets. Increasingly, consumers and businesses are demanding more flexible, cost-effective fueling services and, as market demands shift, Filld’s technology platform and equipment can easily transition to support alternative fuel and electric vehicles.
“Filld plays a crucial role in the future of last mile energy delivery. We’re proud to build and expand our fuel delivery platform for individual consumers, as well as commercial and fleet customers,” said Michael Buhr, Filld’s President and CEO. “It’s an honor to work alongside some of the most innovative companies in the industry and to collaborate with leading retail, e-commerce, auto manufacturing and supply firms. We’re excited for what’s to come.”
Filld will use the funding to drive new market expansions, further extend services within existing markets and enhance its tech platform and connected architecture.
“As Canada’s largest independent fuel marketer with a significant retail presence, we are always looking for innovative ways to help improve our customers’ fueling experience,” said Bob Espey, Parkland’s President and CEO. “Parkland is committed to providing our customers with a wide range of choices to interact with our brands — whether that’s stopping at the gas station, or getting vehicles fueled at home or work. We are proud to provide funding and operating expertise to Filld as they expand to new markets.”
As part of Parkland’s investment, Doug Haugh, President of Parkland USA, has joined Filld’s board of directors.
Filld also announced today the expansion of its consumer service for customers in the Washington, D.C. metro area, where the company already provides commercial and fleet mobile fueling for partners like Daimler’s car2go (the largest one-way carsharing service in North America, with over one million members in the U.S. and Canada). The service expansion signifies the continued success of Filld’s customary approach to entering new metros — focusing on large connected commercial and fleet services, then expanding to offer consumer service while ensuring operational safety and the best possible customer experience.
“We have been impressed by how Filld responds to accelerating customer opportunities and requests by scaling its platform and embracing innovation in fueling technology,” said Jason Schoettler, co-founder of Calibrate Ventures. “The team’s smart approach to launching new markets, strong industry partnerships and customer focus set them apart.”
Filld is rapidly hiring today and has significant plans to ramp-up recruiting and training for new jobs across North America (from fleet mechanics to delivery technicians).
ABOUT FILLD
Founded in 2015, Filld is a flexible, safe, scalable last mile infrastructure company that delivers fuel to customers’ vehicles, so they never have to stop for gas again. Top Filld partners include Daimler car2go, Volvo, BMW ReachNow and Sixt. Commercial-rated Filld drivers in safety-compliant Filld trucks have pumped millions of gallons of fuel without a single major safety incident while delivering top-quality, double-filtered gas sourced from premium brands, like those brands carried by Parkland Fuel Corporation.

Parkland Fuel Corporation Announces August 2018 Dividend
CALGARY, Alberta, Aug. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Parkland Fuel Corporation (“Parkland”) (TSX:PKI), Canada’s largest and one of North America’s fastest growing independent suppliers and marketers of fuel and petroleum products and a leading convenience store operator, today announced that a dividend of $0.0978 per share will be paid on September 14, 2018 to shareholders of record on August 22, 2018. The dividend will be an ‘eligible dividend’ for Canadian income tax purposes. The ex-dividend date is August 21, 2018.
Enhanced Dividend Reinvestment Plan Parkland’s enhanced Dividend Reinvestment Plan (“Enhanced DRIP”) allows shareholders to reinvest their cash dividends to purchase additional Parkland shares from treasury at a 5% per share discount to the daily volume weighted average trading price on the applicable dividend payment date.
Shareholders who wish to enroll in the Enhanced DRIP must do so prior to the August 21, 2018 ex-dividend date to reinvest this month’s dividend in Parkland shares at a discount.
Use of Funds The Enhanced DRIP allows Parkland to retain amounts that would otherwise be paid to shareholders as dividends in cash, thereby incrementally raising equity capital which may be used by Parkland to, among other things, fund its capital program, fund acquisitions, build new locations and upgrade existing locations: all of which help contribute to Parkland’s growth and ability to execute on its strategy.
Enrolling Shareholders who own their shares through a brokerage and who wish to participate in the Enhanced DRIP should ensure they are enrolled by checking their online brokerage portal or by calling their investment advisor.
Shareholders who hold certificates in their own name (registered shareholders) who wish to enroll can find out more from Computershare by calling 1-800-564-6253.
Copies of the Plan and the enrollment form are also available on Parkland’s website at http://www.parkland.ca/en/investors/dividend/.
For investors previously enrolled in the Premium Dividend™ component of Parkland’s Dividend Reinvestment Plan, please note this program ended in April 2016 and without further action you are now likely receiving the regular dividend.
Brokerage entitlement and corporate actions departments are encouraged to ensure that they have properly elected with Clearing and Depository Services Inc. (“CDS”) those shares that should participate in the enhanced Dividend Reinvestment Plan.

Tollway towers sale stands out in Dallas-Fort Worth property market
DMN files
The just-completed sale of one of the biggest office tower projects on the Dallas North Tollway is more than just another building buy.
The sale of the 800,000-square-foot International Plaza I & II towers is one of the largest commercial property plays in North Texas so far in 2018. The purchase of the high-profile high-rise complex also erased the largest problem commercial property loan on the books in Dallas-Fort Worth.
And the sale further fueled the real estate market along the tollway near the Galleria Dallas, which is seeing a surge in activity.
International Plaza was sold by a New York real estate investor that paid an estimated $280 million for the property back in 2006 before the recession.
The buildings just sold for almost half that.
In the last few years, public debt holders who had about $156 million in loans on the office towers had slashed the appraised value to only about $120 million. The International Plaza loan — which was in the hands of special servicers — was the largest such property debt in default in North Texas, according to analysts at Trepp LLC.
The new owner, investment firm Taconic Capital Advisors LP, paid about $115 million for the empty office towers that were once occupied by JPMorgan Chase and Fannie Mae.
The tollway tower purchase is notable in a period when not many big D-FW commercial properties have changed hands.
The $800 million Infomart sale and Michael Dell’s estimated $250 million acquisition of Knox Street retail and apartment buildings top the list of local property trades in 2018.
"Overall, the activity has been slow in comparison to years past," said Cushman & Wakefield senior financial manager Tom Strohbehn. "This is not due to a lack of investor demand and interest in the market, but there wasn’t much available.
"Investors are still hot on Dallas given the population and job growth."
John Alvarado, senior vice president with CBRE, said he expects the North Texas investment property market to perk up with more real estate hitting the market soon.
"If our recent activity in the last few weeks is any indication, I expect things will be turning around," Alvarado said. "Our group’s pipeline is now very robust.
"We will be launching a wide variety of deals over the next three to four weeks, including some very large properties."
The $83 million former Parkland Hospital campus sale and a sale of the two-building Oak Lawn Centrum complex, estimated at almost $170 million, are pending.
Addison’s three-tower Colonnade office complex, with more than 1 million square feet, is expected to be up for grabs again. CBRE will be marketing the office complex, which last sold in 2013 for nearly $200 million.

John Bolton Runs Into Potential Ethics Issues
John Bolton, who is days away from becoming President Donald Trump's national security advisor, has been meeting with White House attorneys about possible conflicts of interest, CNBC has learned.
The exact sticking points for Bolton are unclear, but ethics experts say the appearance of a possible future role for Bolton with an entity such as a political action committee could be a cause for concern for White House officials. Bolton's PAC and super PAC, which are no longer receiving or spending capital, have been financial players in the early going of the midterm election cycle.
'Blessed To Be Alive': Parkland Shooting Survivor Speaks Out
White House lawyers and Bolton continue to discuss and review any potential conflicts of interest for the former U.N. ambassador, sources with direct knowledge of the matter told CNBC on the condition of anonymity. A spokesman for Bolton, however, said that there haven't been any issues.

When Progressives Exploit School Shootings
I believe the children are the future. Indoctrinate them with neo-Marxist ideology and let them lead the way.
What if I told you that the conversation about gun control in the United States wasn't about guns? A lot of what we're about to look at is speculative- but to be frank the lines that are being drawn between major political actors are far too interesting to ignore. Why I'm writing this is not because I don't care about the victims of mass shootings or even that I'm being paid to do so. This is concerning an exploitative progressive ideology that has thrust kids involved in a mass shooting to the spear-tip of their agenda. What I contend that the following evidence shows is a calculated and cynical political move that has been planned in advance for these exact circumstances.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
This hypothetical mobilization playbook requires the tacit support of the media to keep the focus on the activism following the Florida Parkland shooting and away from the victims. Can you remember the names of those 17 victims? Anderson Cooper says that he does.

youtube
This was the 15th of February, 2018. It is important to remember the people that have died not only for the tragic waste of life that set these wheels in motion but to recognize the utter disregard with which their memories have been treated by those with political agendas.
We know from repeated analysis of gun violence that the United States represents a negative correlation between homicides and gun ownership. To frame this entire conversation as being one of righteous children against the gun-lovin' government requires the influence of powerful political actors- applying an evidence-based approach to the causes of gun violence is unpalatable to Progressives. Exploitation of tragedy is nothing new when dealing with these agents of chaos. We can only be surprised at our own surprise at the quickness the machine moves to capitalize on the deaths of the innocent.

As reported by the New York Times on Feb. 18th:
“We want this to stop. We need this to stop. We are protecting guns more than people,” said Emma González, 18, one of five core organizers, whose impassioned speech at a rally in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday drew national attention. “We are not trying to take people’s guns away; we are trying to make sure we have gun safety.”
Ms. González, a senior at the school, said the group was inviting elected officials “from any side of the political spectrum” to join the movement. But she said: “We don’t want anybody who is funded by the N.R.A. We want people who are going to be on the right side of history.”
The right side of history. Who do we know that loves being on the right side of history?

It would be a surprise at this point in history to discover that the Women's March was not heavily involved in the politicizing of this mass murder. It is no surprise that March For Our Lives (one of the names for the post-Parkland political movements) has popped up with almost identical web design on Squarespace, who host the lion's share of Women's March affiliated online assets. I do hope that Linda got the kids a good deal.

— Linda Sarsour (@lsarsour) February 19, 2018
Sarsour and her allies have had a major rage on for the NRA for some years, particularly thanks to the activism of Tamika Mallory, women's march organizer and blacktivist.
My life-changing call came when I learned that my son’s father had been killed by a gun. I became a single mother and my son lost his father. I’m proud of @WomensMarchY @schoolwalkoutUS @AMarch4OurLives and all the young people leading the way to say #ENOUGH. ✊🏾🖤 https://t.co/hWzvd2KoKO
— Tamika D. Mallory (@TamikaDMallory) February 19, 2018
In a piece last year entitled When Progressives Embrace Hate recent Twitter pile-on victim Bari Weiss noted that both Sarsour and Mallory embrace racists like Louis Farrakhan and the cop killer Assata Shakur.
Ms. Mallory, in addition to applauding Assata Shakur as a feminist emblem, also admires Fidel Castro, who sheltered Ms. Shakur in Cuba. She put up a flurry of posts when Mr. Castro died last year. “R.I.P. Comandante! Your legacy lives on!” she wrote in one. She does not have similar respect for American police officers. “When you throw a brick in a pile of hogs, the one that hollers is the one you hit,” she posted on Nov. 20.
Knowing their admiration for racial supremacists and literal communist dictators, it is not particularly of note that exploitative activists like Sarsour and Mallory are political bottom-feeders who weaponize tragedy for their own ends. What becomes interesting indeed is what is turned up when the paper-and-cash-trail behind these power-players is followed, as Asra Q. Nomani of the New York Times-affiliated site Women in the World did over a year ago.
What she discovered was that key Hillary Clinton financier George Soros;
"[H]as funded, or has close relationships with, at least 56 of the march’s “partners,” including “key partners” Planned Parenthood, which opposes Trump’s anti-abortion policy, and the National Resource Defense Council, which opposes Trump’s environmental policies. The other Soros ties with “Women’s March” organizations include the partisan MoveOn.org (which was fiercely pro-Clinton), the National Action Network (which has a former executive director lauded by Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett as “a leader of tomorrow” as a march co-chair and another official as “the head of logistics”). Other Soros grantees who are “partners” in the march are the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch."
Particularly illuminating in the context of Nomani's work is the leaked 2007 memo from John Podesta to George Soros and others that set out the framework for the exact behavior we are seeing today from the liberal media and these spontaneous groups like March For Our Lives.
Podesta wrote to Soros that he wanted to:
better utilize these networks to drive the content of politics through a strong echo chamber.
Control the political discourse. So much effort over the past few years has been focused on better coordinating, strengthening, and developing progressive institutions and leaders. Now that this enhanced infrastructure is in place—grassroots organizing; multi-issue advocacy groups; think tanks; youth outreach; faith communities; micro-targeting outfits; the netroots and blogosphere—we need to better utilize these networks to drive the content of politics through a strong “echo chamber” and message delivery system.
This memo was released with a focus on the 2008 election of Barack Obama. I don't like much agreeing with John Podesta about anything, but he saw back in 2007 that the future of America is about demographics. From the memo:
Ensure that demographics is destiny. An "emerging progressive majority" is a realistic possibility in terms of demographics and voting patterns. But it is incomplete in terms of organizing and political work. Women, communities of color and highly educated professionals are core parts of the progressive coalition.
A message delivery system in service of a progressive movement that combines multiple issues into a sledgehammer against the state. Pure Alinsky.
I don't think at the time Podesta could realize that the explosion of social media influence would convert the liberal media into a progressive blogosphere in the service of his agenda. The media are maintaining attention exactly where I would want them to be looking if I were a Linda Sarsour or George Soros. Keep the eyes of America on the crying rainbow nation teenagers reciting the progressive talking points and milk the 24-hour news cycle for all it is worth. Convert this into a publicly funded war-chest to power a Women's March clone -but this time, for the kids.
With 11 years between that memo and now, can anyone deny that his plan worked perfectly? Up until the ruinous election of Donald J. Trump, Podesta was bullet-proof. Despite that defeat at the hands of populism, the plans of Podesta and Soros have continued, not only unabated but financially and ideologically reinvigorated. Re-energized with new blood and new revenue after the rejection of the Obama/Clinton procession of succession resulted in a billionaire boogeyman against whom the troops can be rallied. The neo-Marxist agenda rolls on with even more money than ever before.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Imagine then, based on what we know now- is it so impossible that an anti-NRA strategist had this playbook ready to roll when the next school shooting happened? Is it too brutally cynical to suspect people of such callous foresight? Recognizing the weakness in the system is the raison d'être of all acolytes of Saul Alinsky; It is how they have effected change for decades. Crack open the seats of institutional power by holding them to impossible standards- the thirteenth rule is in full effect with this Children's Crusade. I have no doubt that the kids involved truly believe in the justness of their cause- but they are a cat's paw, plunging their young hands into the fires of gun debate for no reward but burned flesh.
Teens between 14 and 18 have far better BS detectors, on average, than “adults” 18 and older. Wouldn’t it be great if the voting age were lowered to 16? Just a pipe dream, I know, but . . . #Children’sCrusade?

Following these threads backward through time reveal that this moment of what appears to be the investiture of moral right into teenagers is not a spontaneous outcry against gun violence. As we will show in tomorrow's article, the kids who are shooting to fame on the back of a brutal shooting are themselves junior progressive political activists who, willingly or no, are now exploiting the deaths of their classmates to push an agenda that began long before they were born.
Tomorrow we shine a light on the kids who are shooting to fame on the back of a shooting.
