I’ve been thinking about the fans’ double standards when judging straight and queer relationships in fb movies and I’ve noticed something. There’s a part where Vinda is asked directly if she’s married, Queenie doesn’t know that the ‘host’ is Grindelwald but the audience does, so the movie treats it like there was some sort of implication that him and Vinda are an item and the movie has to directly in dialogue say that ‘no, she’s just a commited acolyte’. But the thing is there was absolutely NOTHING in the movie to suggest that they were in any way involved with one another. It was enough that she’s a female and was standing next to him in a few shots and the filmmakers knew that there has to be a line like this in the movie so that people don’t start getting ideas while the mirror of erised and ‘closer than brothers’ scenes are apparently completely worthless and meaningless and “could as well mean that they were firends”.

Another House visitor tonight. Dani was cooking and her and cats heard a scratching in the studio. Turns out we had a fairly big lizard come for a visit. So we got him and let him go outside. Not sure what kind he was, but here's some pics: Edit: my firend Filmmaker Chase Dudley (and reptile guy) said he thinks it's a young Tegu and that looks to be what it is. I was surprised that he calmed down as much as he did when I went to pick him up. After he had thrashed and ran all over, I think he just wanted to go outside and be done with this adventure. Animals have always liked me, so maybe he understood he wasn't in any danger and was just like, 'okay dude, just get me outside'
