"...the Hijra community is a society of intersex, trans and other third-gender groups who live across South Asia, largely removed from wider society. They have existed for more than 2,000 years.
Hijra societies follow a complex combination of rituals, and young people who join are initiated by a guru or teacher who teaches them about the community’s way of life.
A 2014 volume from the World Policy Journal estimated there to be at least 10 million Hijra people, including in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Patel said that it was important for him to represent this community as a form of solidarity"

When you get this, answer one of the questions (or all if you really want!) then pass it on to 5 writer friends! 🥰 If you have more than one WIP, pick at random! We want you to talk about your works, and celebrate with you! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
ok lmao so i had to go and ask you for the questions but i'll answer them now <3
What are you most excited to write with this WIP?
How has this WIP changed since the “daydream/brainstorm” stage?
Who is your favourite character in this WIP and why?
Ok so unfortunately for everyone involved i am not a novel writer-
WAIT I JUST REMEMBERED MY SHORT STORY!! DIGRESSION REDACTED. Literally. i actually had an explaantion typed out but you'll never see it now bc tumblr is a fuckwad <3
I'm gonna tag my writer friends to continue this because it's easier sdfogushdfg but thank you matt!!!
To follow the challenge (with fanfic or original):
@tsukiomoon @lovinglystrawberrycrepe @bea-writes-sometimes @genderlessfish @asadnerdtm @jawbone-xylophone @a-little-chai @blacksoul333 @hiddenarina @monoshii-wasu
(I kinda went crazy tagging a bunch of peolpe here because i'm genuienly curious for what you've all been up to and what you're writing!)
ok ahem ahem
Sheltered
What are you most excited to write with this WIP?
The ending. As a writer who loves to build up to specific moments and gestures, this story requires SO MUCH planning and care to achieve the effect I want which will hopefully be a mindblowing one. And also a very sad realisation I hope. I want the reader to be SHOCKED. i need them GASPING. i need them HORRIFIED. but i can't do that until i write everything else first </3 but god yeah i really really really want to skip to teh ending
How has this WIP changed since the “daydream/brainstorm” stage?
Initially in the daydream stage, I modelled this as a short film script! But I don't write scripts often so I scrapped it and made it a short story instead. Additionally, as I wrote it I realised extra motifs and secrets to add! For instance, Kanto tells you something and will always draw back to that point but as I wrote this in, I realised it would add to the plot twist to have Nafiz never acknowledge this explicitly until the very end! Little things liek that which will require extra planning but contribute so greatly to the payoff.
OH YEAH AND LIKE. ITS CHANGED A LOT FROM ITS FIRST DRAFT. MOSTLY BC THE FIRST DRAFT WAS 9 PAGES OF HANDWRITTEN STORY WHICH I THEN. LOST IN BANGLADESH </3 But honestly i really love the rewrite more so tbh alhamdulillah that happened. Taught me to save my work properly too sdfogushdfg
Who is your favourite character in this WIP and why?
So few people even know about the wip but even fewer know that the two main characters, Kanto and Nafiz, are just my Twisted-Wonderland self-inserts re-contextualised to be humans of different ages to their ogs. This is a little on purpose though since the story is very close to my heart ;D
But in that regard, my favourite character is actually Kanto!! She's a really young girl in Sheltered but her dialogue, mannerisms and actions are so fun to write and most importantly of all, she is integral to the plot twist. I love how much depth I need to pour into her and she's the expositional character!
Who doesn't love their beloved tutorial?
#cttrajan#sheltered#drabbles#kinda#writing game#matt#many many friends being tagged but if they reblog and do it ill tag them then

George Harrison, (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was #guitarist, #singer, #songwriter #lead guitarist of the Beatles. Often referred to as “the quiet Beatle”, Harrison embraced Indian mysticism and helped broaden the horizons of his fellow Beatles as well as their Western audience by incorporating Indian instrumentation in their music.[5].
Although the majority of the Beatles’ songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, most Beatles albums from 1965 onwards contained at least two Harrison compositions. His songs for the group included “Taxman”, “Within You Without You”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, “Here Comes the Sun” and “Something”, the last of which became the Beatles’ second-most covered song.
Harrison’s earliest musical influences included George Formby and Django Reinhardt; Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins and Chuck Berry were subsequent influences. By 1965 he had begun to lead the Beatles into folk rock through his interest in the Byrds and Bob Dylan, and towardsIndian classical music through his use of the sitar on “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)”. Having initiated the band’s embracing ofTranscendental Meditation in 1967, he subsequently developed an association with the Hare Krishna movement.
After the band’s break-up in 1970, Harrison released the triple album All Things Must Pass, a critically acclaimed work that produced his most successful hit single, “My Sweet Lord”, and introduced his signature sound as a solo artist, the slide guitar. He also organised the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh with Indian musician Ravi Shankar, a precursor for later benefit concerts such as Live Aid. In his role as a music and film producer, Harrison produced acts signed to the Beatles’ Apple record label before founding Dark Horse Records in 1974 and co-founding HandMade Films in 1978.

Tim Walz has ties to Muslim cleric with antisemitic views, gave state funding to his group: report
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has reported ties to a Muslim cleric who praised Adolf Hitler online and commended the Islamic terrorist group Hamas for the attacks against innocent Israelis on Oct. 7. In the last few years, Imam Asad Zaman has used his Facebook page to share official Hamas press releases, blog posts from antisemitic sites and a 2015 link to a pro-Hitler film, “The Greatest Story Never Told.” Released in 2013, the propaganda film is antisemitic and popular among fringe groups, according to the Anti-Defamation League.Walz’s administration has also donated over $100,000 to Zaman’s group, Muslim American Society of Minnesota, according to state records reviewed by the Washington Examiner. Federal prosecutors have described the Muslim American Society as “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S.,” according to court records, the outlet first reported. ISRAEL ISSUES MESSAGE TO LEBANESE CITIZENS AMID REPORTS OF POTENTIAL PREEMPTIVE STRIKE ON HEZBOLLAHDesignated a terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates in 2014, the Muslim group faced criticism in 2019 when a video emerged of children at a Philadelphia chapter event calling for Jews to be killed. In reaction to Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., condemning the Oct. 7 attack a day later, Zaman asked if she would “reaffirm the right of Palestinians to defend themselves.” Zaman’s Muslim group in a statement on Oct. 7 declared it “reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.”In May 2023, Zaman attended a mosque security meeting with Walz’s gubernatorial office. Tuksya available in Afghanistan | Bangladesh | Bhutan| India| Maldives| Nepal| Pakistan and Sri Lanka
Tucatinib is Tukysa's active ingredient. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are one class of medications used to treat cancer. Tucatinib inhibits the phosphorylation of HER2 and HER3, which therefore prevents the activation of the MAPK and AKT pathways and the proliferation of cells. By adhering to HER2+ tumor cells and binding to the HER2 protein on the cancer cells, it demonstrated its efficacy against cancer. After that, its behavior becomes subdued. Because HER2 activates these processes, inhibiting it aids in halting the growth and division of malignant cells. As a result, they pass away and the cancer stops spreading more swiftly.Significant hepatotoxic adverse effects are possible with tutunitinib; the severity of these effects will dictate whether the dose is lowered, stopped entirely, or, in very rare circumstances, never started. Only the doctor can calculate the dose that will result in better, more positive outcomes with a lesser likelihood of negative effects. The available 50 mg round and 150 mg oval tablets with yellow film coating include tucatinib as the active ingredient. Only a doctor with experience treating cancer should initiate and oversee your therapy with this medicine, which is only available with a prescription. This helpful medication is widely available, and Tuksya price is reasonable and economical.
One kinase inhibitor used to treat cancer is called tutunitinib. This powerful medication is used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer that has progressed locally or systemically. This indicates that the HER2 protein, produced and expressed by cancer cells, contributes to the formation of the tumor. Together with capecitabine and trastuzumab, tucatinib is administered. It is applied after at least two different HER2-positive cancer therapy have been administered and tested.2020 saw the approval of tucatinib, a powerful oral tablet used to treat breast and colorectal cancer. Tupatinib should be taken orally twice a day in a dose of 300 mg. Also, on particular days of a 21-day cycle, patients receive therapies with capecitabine and trastuzumab. As long as the cancer stays contained, doesn't worsen, and the side effects are tolerable, treatment can continue. In the event that side effects materialize, the doctor may advise lowering the dosage or stopping Tucatinib altogether.Individuals with severe liver impairment should take 200 mg orally twice a day. Tukysa cost in India is reasonable making it easy to use.
Tucatinib is the active ingredient of Tukysa. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are one family of anti-cancer medications. Tucatinib inhibits the phosphorylation of HER2 and HER3, which in turn inhibits the activation of MAPK and AKT pathways and the subsequent proliferation of cells. By adhering to the HER2 protein on the cancer cells, it demonstrated anticancer efficacy on tumor cells that express HER2. After that, it acts in a controlled way. Because it promotes the growth and division of cancer cells, inhibiting HER2 aids in halting the spread of malignant cells. As a result, the cancer stops spreading and they pass away. Tuksya tablet cost in India is reasonable, and we offer the medication at a subsidized rate to make taking it easier.

Chowdhury's musical journey is remarkable for its breadth and depth. He composed music for films in 13 languages, leaving an indelible mark with over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, and 27 Malayalam films, among others. His ability to play multiple instruments, including the flute, piano, and esraj, combined with his poetic talent, made him a unique figure in the Indian film industry.
His first Bengali film score was for "Paribortan," released in 1949. "Mahabharati," released in 1994, was the last Bengali film to feature his music. Affectionately known as Salilda, he mentored prominent figures like R. D. Burman and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
Chowdhury's entry into the Hindi film industry in 1953 was serendipitous. His script for "Do Bigha Zamin," initially a Bengali film about a rickshaw puller, caught the attention of director Bimal Roy. This film, which was Chowdhury's Hindi debut, won the Filmfare Best Movie Award and an international prize at the Cannes Film Festival, catapulting him to new heights.
Chowdhury's method of composing involved understanding the film's context and mood, creating tunes that perfectly matched the emotions, and then collaborating with lyricists for the final touch. This approach resulted in iconic scores for films like "Madhumati."
During the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, Chowdhury contributed to the liberation struggle with his album "Bangla Amar Bangla." His visit to Bangladesh in 1990 saw him receive a hero's welcome, and he was posthumously honored with the Muktijoddha Maitreye Samman in 2012.
Besides music, Chowdhury was a talented poet, playwright, and short story writer. He directed the film "Pinjre Ke Panchhi" in 1966, based on his own story and screenplay. Notably, he was the founder of the Bombay Youth Choir in 1958, India's first secular choir, inspiring a new genre of music that blended vocal polyphony with Indian folk and contemporary music.
On his birth anniversary, we remember Salil Chowdhury not just for his musical genius but for his profound impact on Indian culture. His legacy as a multifaceted artist continues to inspire and resonate with music lovers and filmmakers alike.
