Harry Potter and The New Wizarding World: A Fan Fiction Story
Synopsis:
The following fan fiction Story is an altered addition to “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. This fan fiction acts as an addition to the ending and deviates entirely from the second book that follows in the series. The second book, being of course “Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets”. In this story, Harry Potter returns back to the Wizarding World, however experiences a few very unexpected surprises. This fan fiction story in no way reflects the views or opinions of J.K. Rowling or the views expressed by the Universal Orlando Resort on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Harry Potter and The New Wizarding World:
When Harry Potter leaves Hogwarts after succesfullying completing his educational requirements and becoming a true Wizard, he travels back home and life for Harry begins to return back to normal, at least for the few years that he is back home that is. Several years after his departure from Hogwarts, Harry receives letters from the Wizarding World in the very same way that he previously did, asking him to return back. During the years that Harry Potter remained outside of Hogwarts, he did happen to miss being in the magical world, however had no idea what had occurred from the time he left Hogwarts until he started to receive letters from them again. Soon, he would discover a new Wizarding World that he never knew existed before.
The older and more mature Harry Potter decides that he must go and then boards the Hogwarts express, embarking on what he believes to be the journey of a lifetime. While on board, Harry wanders around the train and quickly comes to the realization that his friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger are not on board with him. After searching cabin by cabin, Harry can only be described as perplexed. After all, Harry would suspect that they would be going back to Hogwarts with him, given that they were very essential to the school and that they were very knowledgeable and hard-working individuals. While on the Hogwarts express, Harry does meet a few of the new students on board and decides to tell them about some of his remarkable stories and the incredible experiences that he previously had at Hogwarts. For example, he meets a kid named Sam, who is worried about going to Hogwarts for the first time. Harry reassures Sam that he has nothing to worry about except for the third-floor corridor, which he warns Sam to stay away from at all costs. While talking with a group of incoming students, Harry also tells them of his many past achievements and even some of the mistakes that he made during his first semester at Hogwarts.
Harry did encounter a few of the same students returning on board, however never encountered Ron and Hermione. While traveling to Hogwarts, Harry notices that something seems quite peculiar on the express. The windows were covered with curtains so that there was no outside view. He opened up one of the curtains to attempt to gain a better look at where he was and noticed that the windows did not offer any real views of what was outside. The windows were screens with animated scenes of them passing through the wizaridng world. Harry also noticed music playing on board that was also synced to the animation, which he could only assume was entertainment of some sort. When he arrives and steps off the Hogwarts express, he is immediately appointed by a middle-aged man dressed in a fancy Hogwarts express uniform with a nametag on. The nametag read “Matt” and under the nametag was an icon for the Universal Orlando Resort. “Where am I and what exactly is the Universal Orlando Resort”, Harry Potter asks. Matt, the team member reassures Harry that everything is just okay and takes him on a tour. A few of Universal’s security guards also join in and watch Harry closely. Matt discusses that they are in need of his help. Harry thinks to himself that this must all be some kind of mistake and continues to ask where the real Hogwarts is located and why he is not currently there. Harry is told by Matt that he is in fact in the real Hogwarts and that his friends Ron and Hermione are waiting on him. At this point, Harry seems skeptical and doesn't believe that what he is hearing is true. Matt explains to Harry that the Wizarding World is now an attraction that has turned into a popular vacation destination. Harry is told that he is a well-known character at the resort and plays a major role in the Hogwarts Castle. As Harry leaves the train station, they walk up to the entrance to the world. “Harry, Welcome to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. We recently added Diagon Ally at Universal Studios Florida” Matt tells Harry.
Although Harry might have been slightly convinced that he was in the real Hogwarts, Harry soon realizes that he is in fact not in the real Wizarding World that he promised to be going to. Harry was at a Theme Park with tourists that walked around holding souvenir bags with his face printed on them, kids trying to use their wands to work the water fountains and butter beer stands at every corner with extensive lines. Harry demands to leave immediately, however is stopped by the Universal Orlando Resort’s security team and held against his will. Matt and a few other Universal Orlando team members step in to sadly inform him of an ongoing problem that they are having with their Harry Potter animatronic on their Forbidden Journey attraction. “Harry, the animatronic version of you has become frozen… we cannot get our animatronic Harry Potter working and need you to replace the attractions robot while we work on fixing the issues”, Matt mentioned. They then take Harry on a private tour of the attraction and the rest of the Wizarding World, leaving Harry truly astonished. He was actually amazed to see how well they recreated the Wizading World. From the visual details on all of the display windows (mostly consisting of wands and other such collectibles) to the magical interactive elements, Harry could not contain his excitement. Although he was very amused over Universal’s attention to detail and the authenticity within the land, In his mind, it was still a glorified Wizaridng world. Harry believed that it was simply a marketing gimmick and wasn’t pleased with the fact that he was being used as a brand so that Universal could profit.
This Wizarding World wasn’t surrounded by large open spaces of land like he once remembered and began to feel less immersed. There were roller coasters surrounding the corners of the land with Jurassic park around the corner. When taken backstage to chat with the team members further, Harry Potter demanded to leave and go back home, however is startled to all of the sudden see his friends. Hermione and Ron appear in front of him and convince him that he is perfectly safe and in good hands, while also informing him to listen to the Universal officials. It doesn’t take long before Harry Potter realizes that these are simply holographic recreations of Hermione and Ron and that Universal has evil tendencies up their sleeve.
After being forced to enter into his scene of the attraction, Harry has no choice but to act the way he is supposed to until the ride closes for the day. Harry Potter was told that he would be required to stay inside the Hogwarts Castle until park close. When all of the universal team members leave him, he carefully devises a plan to sneak out of the castle and explore the rest of the park to gain a better understanding of where he is and what they might be hiding from him. In the middle of the night, he escapes the Hogwarts castle and heads over to Jurassic park, where he notices live dinosaurs roaming around. When a dinosaur comes running after him, he runs into a bush to hide and as a result, triggers sensors that close all of the exit gates to Jurassic Park. Harry Potter is now trapped in Jurassic Park with dinosaurs roaming around and begins to loose all hope. At some point, he regains his composure and searches the surrounding area, where he discovers several souvenir broomsticks left behind by guests. Remembering that he has magic powers, Harry decided to pick one up and is able to fly himself up into the sky without knowing which direction he is heading. As soon as he gains balance, a wind gust happens to take him towards a giant tropical volcano. Traveling at speeds of seventy miles per hour, he nearly misses the volcano, however crashes into the giant filled pool below.
Harry Potter wakes up at sunrise on a tropical beach, where he happens to be rescued by members of the Waturi tribe. The tribe members all surround Harry, while also speaking to each other in their Waturi language. Although Harry doesn’t seem to understand exactly where he is or why these groups are surrounding him, his magical abilities allow him to internally translate the language by this tribal group. He is able to come to the conclusion that they would like to welcome him into their tropical paradise, but first he needs his Tapu Tapu wearable band, which functions as a passage into their tribal culture. After fully waking up, Harry Potter sees that he is at a water theme park with dozens of surrounding water slides and attractions along with the Krakatau: The towering Volcano that occasionally erupts. The Waturi treat him to a rather large breakfast feast, which Harry Potter shows great appreciation for. Shortly after their breakfast, the Waturi members grab a hold of Harry and begin taking him up to the peak of Kraktau: The Volcano. Harry demands to be let back down instantly and attempts to fight with them, however is no match for them and continues to be brought up to the very top of the volcano. When they all reach the very top, Harry is let down and then told that he must go down one of their water capsule drop slides to officially be one of them. When Harry refuses, as he is scared of heights, they force him into the capsule. Harry is given an automated message by a tiki speaker engraved into the slide that he is about to face a sudden drop of 150 feet and must cross his arms and legs. The tribes begin to surround the capsule slide, while also singing their traditional welcoming music and dancing. Just as the drop floor opens and he begins plummeting down the slide, he wakes up gasping for his breath and realizes that everything he had experienced was all just a terrible nightmare. A very terrible Universal Orlando Resort nightmare.
