It's a mumble to himself, one that may have been a bit too loud by the way he sees a twitching ear in his direction. He really needs to stop voicing his thoughts aloud, but when your only companion is yourself and your dog, you tend to say things aloud to make you feel a little less insane.

"Er, sorry." Clive rubs the back of his neck, awkwardly. "It's... ah... I've just never seen someone so human with... non-human ears before." Great, Clive. Marquess of Rosaria, Dominant of Ifrit, Cid the Outlaw, and he still very much fumbles with words.

Am I the only one bothered by how early this FFXVI collab event is? And how it would spoil a whole lot for players like myself who are waiting for PC release and trying very hard to avoid all spoilers in the mean time?

The original FFXV collab event was a whole 3 years after its console release, and 1 whole year after PC release, which gave us more than enough time to play the game and actually grow to love it and get real excited about the collab. And probably got Square more buyers after the hype petered out.

but a collab event the very same year of release? What's the goal here Square? Need even more players to buy your game? the PC release is going to help with that very soon! What's the rush?

I just really wish I could enjoy this collab story after having grown to love the world and spent at least 100+ hours in it, as god intended... but instead I'm skipping scenes and playing it with my eyes closed just to get the cute doggo that I know I'm going to fall in love with for sure... in about a year from now.

I thought it'd be safe to trust Yoshida when he said the FFXVI collab wouldn't have any spoilers. I don't know why they thought mentioning named characters' deaths and traumatic plot twists qualifies as "no spoilers for the game". What the fuck.

Four years. Four years I've been trying to dodge all spoilers for this goddamn game, refused to watch trailers, kept myself away from reviews and any kind of discourse online, I'm interested in the game, I want to get it on Day One, cool, but that Day One still hasn't arrived yet. The game isn't out yet for me.

I was very paranoid about the collab but I decided to trust Yoshida. And in return I get hit by what feels like a middle finger in the face of all those who didn't think it was a reasonable idea to go haggle with scalpers to get a PlayStation 5 just to play one single game a few months earlier.
