"I know High Ladies are probably supposed to wear a new dress every day," I mused, smiling at the gown, "but I'm rather attached to this one."
He ran his hand down my thigh. "I'm glad."
"You never told me where you got it - where you got all my favorite dresses."
Rhys arched a dark brow. "You never figured it out?"
I shook my head.
For a moment, he said nothing, his head dipping to study the dress.
"My mother made them."

People always be like "we want complex female character" but you bitches can't even handle Feyre, who has different sides and just because she's a mother now, you think she's completely disable to wield a sword...
She was a fighter long before turning to fae. She killed a fae wolf, 2 nagas, trapped a suriel several times (the very suriel Rhys tried to trapped and failed), killed an ancient wyrm and broke a 49 years curse all the while being a human. She has all the seven High Lords power and managed to kill many of Hybren soldier just to save Rhysand. She's mated to the most powerful High Lord and we all know 'like calls to like'. She went to the Summer Court and fight side by side with The Morrigan and never backed down.
But sure... she can't wield a sword now.

if Rhys can forgive his mother for dumping him in a war camp at 8 years old he can forgive Nesta for “letting” Feyre hunt

My fave genre of ACOTAR memes has got to be people collectively being creeped out that Rhysand’s mother sat down half a millennia ago and made a gazillion lewd dresses for her son’s mate, who might or might not exist, while also guessing her exact measurements. Like, it’s so funny that we were all collectively so unsettled by this, lol. I love universal human experiences. Imagine marrying someone and finding out your mother in law has pre-decided your entire wardrobe forever. Thanks, I guess.

It will never stop being amusing to me that the warning Ianthe gives Tamlin in the beginning of ACOMAF about how Feyre will get either killed or abducted by other high lords and kept for breeding essentially came true.
How Feyre ended up exactly how she feared she would with Tamlin: A waifu who does basically nothing except have her little art studio and her little desk job and pops out babies for the high lord. Sure, what you want in life can change and consent makes all the difference, but it is still an absolutely WILD narrative choice.

I’m never going to buy the “Elain is a spoiled rotten child” interpretation that I see floating around fandom. To me, Elain is a chronic people pleaser.
She desires to please everyone around her at the expense of herself. It is why she so desperately wants to be seen. She is deeply unhappy. Symbolically, Elain is described as a trembling fawn because she is frozen like a deer in headlights in the face of what she wants vs performing what other’s expect of her.
She does this because she is suffering from self worth issues and does not believe her needs or wants are important—and that she doesn’t possess value beyond her complacency and her superficial beauty.
In fact, I believe her book is going to be about becoming selfish. I HOPE it’s about finally becoming MORE SELFISH, which she has never afforded herself to be. I hope she’s selfish and leaves the cage of limitations that has been created for her in the Night Court. I hope she’s selfish and chooses love and a mating bond because she wants it. I hope she’s selfish enough to finally put herself first in order to become the strong and brave female character she was always destined to be.

Feyre being immortal does not mean she should wait a few centuries to have a child. A woman can decide at any point in their life when THEY are ready to have a child. That isn’t up to you. Feyre wanted to have a child and we had whole build up to this decision in acofas. Feyre CHOSE to want to get pregnant, and she CHOSE to speak with rhys about it, and then they CHOSE to start trying for a baby with one another. Rhys did not force her to have a child nor did he mind r*pe her into having a child with him…You’ve made this narrative because of how much you hate them, and it’s such a disgusting argument.
And the false feminism too… you’d be calling it girl power if Feyre was in the club but because she chose to become a mother, and you don’t like pregnancy plot lines and have a nasty view point on motherhood, you’ve made her becoming a mother a monstrosity. You only have feminism towards a character when they are doing something you personally like, it’s disheartening. I see this done with Nesta too.
I don’t understand why Feyre choosing to become a mother is always “uncomfortable, she’s too young, rhys is using her as a breeding mule”
And never “this is empowering. A woman has decided to become a mother. One of the most important and beautiful aspects of being a female is the choice of motherhood.”

Three stones for the faces of the Mother.
1—Feyre faced challenges under the sacred mountain in the Middle.
2—Nesta faced challenges under the sacred mountain on the Prison island.
3—Elain will face challenges under the sacred mountain Ramiel.
Three sisters blessed by Wyrd and gifted with powers.

So whose going to tell these people that Elain was friends with the shadow twins before Nesta was friends with Gwyn and Emerie? How are Elain fans copying y’all by talking about her trio when canonically her trio existed before Nesta’s😭?
Tumblr media
Seriously though the possessiveness Nesta fans feel over normal things is so…? They’re some of the most envious people in this fandom because how are you gatekeeping friendships? It’s canon that they’re friends. It’s canon that they spend more time with her than her own sisters. It’s canon that they’re friends with her not because they’re getting paid for it but because they like spending time with her (they literally rejected when Feyre tried to give them a raise for helping Elain). Elain’s life does not revolve around Nesta and she does have outside relationships that matter to her. Y’all need to just cope with that.
Like having friends is copying someone now? Please go outside platonic relationships are normal.
And secondly how are you gate keeping a court that already belongs to Rhys😭? “Elain fans try to steal Dusk from Nesta” now how can they steal something from Nesta that doesn’t belong to her in the first place? The Dusk Court/Prison does not belong to Elain or Nesta and it’s already said that even if it’s an 8th court, it still falls under Rhys’ jurisdiction. His blood is the only thing that can open the gates. You’re gatekeeping territory that already has Rhys’ name slapped on it. But you want to talk about fans copying and stealing from other characters?
And it’s funny how people only have an issue with saying another character is going to get Gwydion when it’s Elain. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think she’s going to get it because I’m personally not an “Elain becoming a warrior and wielding a powerful sword” girlie but why is it this big discourse only when it comes to her? Mind you, y’all aren’t even arguing over how her becoming a warrior and getting Gwydion wouldn’t fit her character (which would be valid)…y’all are arguing over her “taking” something from Nesta. Which makes no sense because almost every character is foreshadowed (by this fandom) to wield Gwydion and y’all don’t have as much of an issue with that.
Like I’ve even seen some theories about Nyx, a baby, getting it (because if the High Ruler plot does happen he would be a future High King) and it wasn’t a big deal. It’s like people understand that Nesta did not claim that sword the way she did with Ataraxia until Elain is brought into the conversation. We can make fanart and create theories of every character under the sun with that sword but you better not even think about Elain getting it.
From gatekeeping Motherly relationships, friendships, a court that doesn’t even belong to Nesta, and a sword I think it’s safe to say Nesta fans have officially lost it.

Anyone else notice this about ToG and ACOTAR?
The Archeron sisters either are, or embody, the three-faced goddess from Throne of Glass.
Maiden - Elain
She's kind and sweet, and always referred to the most lovely of the sisters. Literally a "flower of youth". She is constantly pursued by suitors and directed towards marriage. At a glance, the most "desirable" of the sisters.
Mother - Feyre
Feyre is incredibly nurturing and a giver by nature, even if it is detrimental to herself (ie. when she was literally being abused and neglected by her family, but still continued to hunt for them instead of simply fending for herself). Very much the mom friend of the inner circle, and now the actual mother of little Nyx.
Crone - Nesta
This isn't to say that Nesta is old, even though she is the eldest of the sisters. But by nature, she reacts as if she has seen much of the world and life in general. She is cautious and realistic (if not outright pessimistic), tending to follow the "guilty until proven innocent" mantra. She acts cold and distant to protect herself and those she loves because she knows how possible it is to be hurt by life's twists and turns. Not to mention that she literally is Lady Death.

I hate it when people say Feyre, mated a high lord but Nesta was mated to a gym bro...
You mean Feyre Archeron? The savior of Prythian, the Cursebreaker, Defender of the Rainbow, Cauldron-blessed and the first high lady in the history?
And Cassain? Lord of Bloodshed, Warrior-heart, Lord in Good Deeds and the general of the biggest army and court in Prythian?
Put some respect in the name of High Lady of Night Court and her general!!!

Noticed how no one was shocked when Nesta told Bryce that Feyre was the perfect mother like of course she is. Nyx is the most blessed son in the series
