What happens to papyrus (repost)

“Oh yeah, because of sans giving up his hope to stop the resets beforehand and distanced himself away from papyrus and the others—as well as putting his studies before all else, he decided to create AIs and robots of those he holds dear; unlike actual living beings, he could control and predict what robots could do—he programmed them. He dislikes being unable to be in control of something.

Also, papyrus does eventually find out about what sans has been doing lately, and tried to talk him out of it; but no, sans is stubborn and will not give up his research and experiments for his brother (he’s already been detached from him anyway). He was incredibly upset and disappointed at his brother for hurting innocent monsters—and kids.

When papyrus tries to get Frisk out of the chambers, Sans immediately reacted and had accidentally pierced a bone through his soul—by accident.

Sans is shocked—stunned even, from his immediate reaction; he hadn’t anticipated this outcome..! Immediately, regret and guilt was filling his SOUL up to the brim as he saw Papyrus look at him with shock and confusion.

Papyrus sends him one last smile, and gave him his last few, famous words: “You can change for the better, brother..! I,, believe in.. you….” And just like that, the upside-down soul of Sans’s brother dusts away, leaving nothing but Papyrus’s scarf sitting on a pile of his dust.

…Sans didn’t know how to feel; he hasn’t talked to or feel connected with Papyrus for quite a long time—to the point where you could say they were estranged siblings.

While he did feel a lot of guilt and regret for killing his own brother—he didn’t regret protecting his work; they were practically his life now—it was the only thing he practically thought was important.

He scooped a small portion of the silky, grey dust that his brother had left behind, and placed them into a testing tube—maybe it could be proven useful for his research and experiments later.

A neutral look was evident on Sans’s face; he had just killed his brother—but he didn’t feel anything else other than guilt. He would move on though—it was fine.. he has his studies anyway.

”..well, that was unexpected. Anyway, back to work.”

He went back to his table and began playing around with chemicals and souls again; storing his dead brother’s red scarf into the dark drawers of his desk.

He had work to do.”

“He didn’t snap—he chose science and his technology over everyone as a way to cope with the resets; this made him detach himself from others to where he doesn’t care about anything else.

He just wanted to capture Frisk for their SOUL so that he could use it to power up and invent new things with it—determination is a strong and powerful trait that can open many possibilities for him—curiosity over all his morals basically.”

Vin’s Backstory (reposted)

So in Ferventale, sans basically gives up most of his hope with trying to get the human to stop resetting and try to go for a pacifist ending (the human in Ferventale is genocidal and often goes for the neutral or genocide routes) because of the amount of bad resets and genocide, sans eventually decided not to care anymore—this meant he stopped caring how bad the kid murder spree’s were, he distanced himself away from everyone so that he would be hurt less whenever the kid would kill them on their next run.

Eventually, after having to withstand being eliminated and running through things over and over and over again, he decided to take up science as some sort of pass time. He gradually picked up lots of knowledge about biology, chemistry, physics, robotics, and nuclear weapons from both the Dump and from studying at his old Lab again.

He was hyper fixated, he would study and learn every day, he would invent and program new things, he would research about anything even remotely related to science—it was the only thing that kept him sane from the Resets.

Even though he had learned almost everything there was to science—he wanted to learn more; curiosity ate him from the inside, a sort of madness growing from within as he continued to grow more attached to this special thing of his.

Behind his brother’s back, he began taking on experiments with regular monster souls, and would often try to take little, unnoticeable samples of the souls from the barrier—he’d test them, see whatever works with them, and use them for his other experiments. He’d even sneak past the True Lab and take most of the information he could find from there; he wanted to discover and learn new things, no matter how horrifying they were—he wanted to know everything.

(Quick thing but maybe in this AU, sans vehemently dislikes the unknown.)

After experimenting on so many souls, he decided, “Hey.. what if I tried pretending to be friends with the kid, lead them down to my lab, capture them in one of my experimenting chambers, hold them with an electric-shock device, probably have the chamber magic-proof or determination-power-resistant (something like that) and then use their determination for my own gain!!”

And so he did, on the next run, he would “befriend” Frisk, and try to gain their trust—it took a while, yes, but he eventually did it. He then decided to “show them a small secret he’s been hiding” and led them down to his Lab—where he’d catch them off guard and swiftly getting them into an encounter; where he would then place a shock-device on their soul that was designed to be capable of administering different voltages, as well as being able to squeeze into the soul to the point where it would crush and crack the soul slightly.

Because of the shock-device on Frisk’s soul, along with their Determination’s abilities to be nullified due to the magic-proof chamber; they were unable to reset or reload.

What is FervenTale?

Hello everyone! This is the tumblr account for the AU, FervenTale; made by AdenoSINE99 (who will eventually be changing their name to oxida probably).

FervenTale is an AU where Sans is a dictator and scientist of his AU—he specializes in neuroscience, quantum physics, particle physics, chemistry, and biology. FervenTale was once a normal timeline branching from the original UNDERTALE AU.
