oh this is a Fun One!!! i had to get the switch for this LMAO & also no particular order for this one !!

OH ok so this is my top 5 based purely on visuals, as i mentioned most the classes i favour in the other ask about top 5 units!!!

F!Byleth in Evening wear (+ glasses) - i Love this outfit!! so much!! :D it’s super sweet & I always stick my Byleth in it!! it’s my favourite dlc outfit! im basic!

Edelgard in timeskip outfit - it’s iconic, how could i not. the Shoulder Pads.. and i’m really fashion inclined to a cupcake silhouette

Dorothea in Falcon Knight class - the red/gold/white is A Look and I suddenly love it very much!! she matches her wife edie and she looks absolutely class!! i like the coordination v much!!! black eagles whomst it’s red eagle city now

Marianne in war cleric - i’m inherently biased to love war cleric class, because i love Lissa, but I Really want to use a brawler Marianne in a run, and so: war cleric marianne is excellent imo :p also the dark flyer class is Lovely in her blues!! 

Ferdinand von Aegir. He’s Ferdinand von Aegir. and he suits bloody everything either side of the timeskip. 100/10 he looks amazing. i love him.

honorable mention to pre-skip ignatz in his summer uniform!! he’s a sweetie! :3 and also to sylvain in his gym kit lounge where it crack me up every time in a cutscene

They had apparently succeeded in making it through to the final round of the Arena although Byleth wasn’t entirely sure that was something to be wholely celebrated. Their opponents in the last battle had been fearsome enough, she dreaded to think what the Academy would throw at them next. 

Ferdinand charged straight into the fray following a rallying cry, heading straight for the illusion hiding behind the towering metal giants. Could you hit an illusion? Guess she was about to find out. 

Byleth darted between the giants guarding her target, drawing her gloved fists back to strike the Void Heart with a couple of quick hits. 

Byleth heals 1 HP     [Byleth: 10/10 HP] Roll: 18 (+6) = 24!     Hit!   Damage: 4HP      [Void Heart: 19/38 HP] Roll: 15 (+6) = 21!     Hit!  Damage: 4HP       [Void Heart: 15/38 HP]

Her fists connected with the illusion, giving her the strangest feeling. Both of making contact yet at the same time not. Either way she could see that her opponent was hurting more now than it had been before she’d punched it. Byleth backed up as she spotted the Void heart waving it’s arms in a complicated pattern. 

Roll: 2!      Byleth takes -2 magic debuff

No pain came but the Mercenary still felt something wash over her. Similar to when Marianne cast healing magic on her but slimier. Not put off, Byleth felt like she had a second wind as moved in close to punch the illusion again, aiming for it’s face this time. 

Roll: 9 (+6) = 15!     Hit!  Damage: 4HP      [ Void Heart: 11/38 HP] Roll: 7 (+6) = 13!     Hit!  Damage: 4HP       [Void Heart: 7/38 HP]

The hook connected with the side of its head which she followed up with a decent uppercut to the chin, forcing it’s head back to give her a window to escape. As she moved back towards her team she felt the grimy feel of it’s magic on her skin again followed by the string of the lingering poison from the previous round. Byleth relayed her assessment of the enemy to her waiting teammates. “I think that illusion is almost down. Couple more attacks should do it”

Once more the arena shifts in the midst of their battle, and this time it carries with it a sense of finality, of one final, ultimate battle between the persevering heroes and their illusory enemies. Once more Ferdinand sits upon a horse, armed with a lance as well as a magic spell. His garments and armour denote him as a holy knight, and the ginger grins, giddy with the Projectionist's choice. "How did she know?" he murmurs. "One of many aspirations of mine... Now it is, however temporarily, fulfilled."

Two hulking metal giants stand before them, with an inky-black heart shape lurking behind them. Ominous, and likely to be rather troublesome if his experience here has taught him anything. Best to eliminate this creature first before it can visit whatever wrath it sees fit to inflict upon them. "Comrades! We must attack that heart of darkness and defeat it if we are to have any hope of succeeding!" With that, he charges toward the entity, intent on taking it down.

Bond activates! Health restored: 1. Ferdie: 9/10 HP

Roll Gradivus: 14. Hit! Damage dealt: 5. Void Heart: 33/38 HP

Roll Darting Blow: 22. Crit! Damage dealt: 10. Void Heart: 23/38 HP

Ultimate Defense activates! -2 Def to Ferdie until the end of Round 1.

Ferdie is poisoned! Damage dealt: 1. Ferdie: 8/10 HP

Ferdinand strikes once, twice, the second one sinking deep into the endless black heart before him, all the way to his hand. The sensation of the abyss slides against his body like a sickening nothingness, an absence, and to make it worse, the poison creeps further through his blood. The young noble retreats, shaken by what he has just experienced.

"We must be careful," he admonishes them, expression serious. It is out of character for him, he knows, but they cannot lose when they have come so close to their goal, and thus they must proceed with utmost caution. "Marianne, darling, would you happen to have a Restore spell handy? It is imperative that we rid ourselves of this poison if we are to succeed."
