It likely wasn’t the hopeful blue eyes that did the trick, luring Nebari into giving in to Ferazhin’s pleading, but the silk dress slipping down her shoulders. The lap of the tide against her calves did a bit more work for him, filching the silk from her body. 

He did the rest on his own before extending their stay for a bit longer.

Usually the raen I see have more ivory-esque colors in their scales, but hers appear to be carved of pearl. Come Home

A flick of the scaled tail accompanied the Raen’s movement as she turned, tilting her head curiously at Anna. “Have we met?”

“No,” Anna said, smiling. “But I know your mate. I’m afraid something dreadful has happened.” Holding a hand out, her other hand resting loosely at the small of her back, the Viera beckoned. “You’ll need to come see him right away.”

Chiyo

Hasty and incomplete, Ferazhin’s offering rippled out along the waves, trailing away from Costa del Sol’s shore. With the last soft, fragrant flower tossed into the water, she ran a hand through her hair, spreading the scent through the lilac-colored strands. 

If it hadn’t been for the ending of the Moonfire Faire, she knew she would’ve forgotten entirely. A last explosion of fireworks, the cheers of those clustered on the sands to watch, and Ferazhin had realized how much time had gotten away from her. 

...she was forgetting...

Forgetting Chiyo. Forgetting home. Forgetting everything that had gone before now. 

And part of her wondered if she should bother fighting against that anymore.

Seeing it, she clutched her chest.

A beauty so great that the heart leapt to witness it and broke as it did so, knowing nothing could ever match it.
