I dunno why I favor sometimes mombastian over dadbastian sometimes, for like, certain vibes.

Maybe the idea that Rachel Phantomhive was not seen in a sinister light (so far) and did her best despite her illness to still take part in raising the boys

That o!ciel especially never had any thoughts/memories of stress involving her, maybe even felt connected considering they were both sickly

That even if in a feminine form... Sebastian does not look like Rachel... unlike all the theories flooding around that it's not a coincidence (despite what Yana says) that he looks like Vincent.

That Sebastian's vibes of worrying, of sassing and nagging, of actually CARING about correcting the boy... are all very unlike how Vincent was.

And more like Rachel.

And maybe, maybe even.. in my corner of headcanon sided stuff in regard to this....

The female Sebastian could much more easily approach the scared boy, and instead of just being ordered to stand at the side with candles over the night, could even...

Hold him.

And sing to him.

And Sebastian knows, most definitely, how to sing.

It has been 74 days since the Kuroshitsuji hiatus was announced.

After leaving Agni and Wolf in charge of looking after the younglings for the next hour, Sebastian departs on “a quick errand.” A short while later, she casts a wriggling burlap sack, weighed down with iron chains, into the depths of the sea.

It will be a few days before the authorities and the public at large become aware of Viscount Druitt’s inexplicable disappearance, but that monster will never threaten her children’s safety again.
