Quirk: Footstep Tracking. Felix can see the footprints of others like an aura (regardless of footwear) and differentiate between which tracks belong to whom, even (with practice and focus) when covered or surrounded by other tracks.

Family: His father is a pro hero, possessing the same quirk as his son, and his mother, quirkless, works at his agency. He is an only child.

Backstory (Relevant to Monoma’s main two verses):

Felix has schizophrenia, and, if untreated, the footprints visible by effect of his quirk manifest to him in different colors, ones that give off vibes of good or evil about the person who possess them. He’s convinced it is his duty as an aspiring hero to track down the footprints of those he senses are evil and preemptively attack them for the sake of justice. He doesn’t believe he has a problem. He ‘knows’ it’s just one of his quirk’s abilities, and he has refused to take medication, because it inhibits that ability and washes away the unique colors in every footprint aura.

By his third year in high school, he faced several accusations of assault, but his family used their prestige and finances to persuade the victims into keeping these events private. He was allowed to graduate before his parents sent him to undergo inpatient treatment at a mental health facility.

Several weeks passed as he stubbornly attempted to shirk his medication at every opportunity, insisting it just interfered with his quirk. Then, near the beginning of August, he came across a new set of footprints on the ward, shining an angelic crystal blue, like those of the fairy tale princess Cendrillon. He found the boy attached to those feet was just as beautiful--Neito Monoma. Felix became enchanted by the boy from faraway Japan, the one whose aura displayed the purity and innocence of a fairytale prince, a being who could do no wrong.

He befriended Neito, allowed him to do whatever he wanted, as the other came to him, came with him. They were alike, both innocent and imprisoned unjustly, and they both thwarted the system set against them together. Even once they were separated for their behavior, Felix used his talents to sneak away and find his Cendrillon with the beautiful glassy footprints. Such a bond between them couldn’t be so easily severed.

Until Neito did so. He was upset that night, tried to force Felix away. Spoke of punishment, that they were keeping him for longer, and he would miss school. Was being stuck anywhere really so bad as long as they were together...? But he insisted. He rejected Felix. Swore he wasn’t anything like what Felix saw, the glowing evidence of his pure soul. Neito told Felix he’d copied his quirk for himself previously...and there were no colors. No good and evil. That everything Felix trusted in was a lie, a delusion...and he had probably hurt innocent people.

He insisted they both needed to give in. They both had dreams, aspirations beyond this psychiatric ward, something better to live for, and if they could keep moving forward, maybe those dreams weren’t yet so far out of reach. “Take your medication,” “It’s so easy for you,” Felix recalled those bitterly flung words, an anger deceptively not meant for him.

Neito was discharged weeks later, eyes sadder but somehow clearer. Felix showed up to say goodbye. They exchanged phone numbers with the charge and promise that Felix would make contact once he was discharged himself. “I hoped it would make you smile to hear I took my medicine today. Yet Neito... I still see good in you.” It was one of the last things he said before the other departed.

Felix was never one to break a vow. Since his release, he has kept in contact with Neito, a friend and confidant, as the other finishes his final year of high school, and Felix pursues pro hero certification in university.

Che succede al Molo - Brescia dopo il weekend di inaugurazione? Si continua a ballare, con stile e con due eventi molto attesi.

Venerdì 20 maggio, per Friday Format, al Molo - Brescia, prende vita una festa firmata Random Una festa a caso - www.randomunafestaacaso.it. E' un appuntamento scanzonato e scatenato. Ci si veste 'a caso' e si ascolta bella musica da tutti i periodi storici. Anzi, come dicono gli organizzatori, "pescheremo A CASO tra i più grandi successi di tutti i tempi, spaziando A CASO da un genere all'altro! Sabato 21 maggio invece sul palco ecco i DJs from Mars italiani ma attivi in tutto il mondo con le loro scatole in testa e la loro energia. Da tempo collaborano un certo David Guetta (con cui sono ritratti nella foto). Per la precisione, hanno appena coprodotto due dei più recenti singoli del top dj francese: Kodak Black "Super Gremlin" (David Guetta Trap House Remix) e David Guetta, Felix Da Housecat & Miss Kittin "Silver Screen (Shower Scene).

Il loro essere mascherati in console sembra mettere al centro non il consueto divismo di tante star del mixer o della musica e neppure chissà quale concetto sofisticato: i DJS from Mars arrivano da parte, hanno la testa nelle loro scatole e fanno divertire come pochi. Al centro della scena non ci sono loro: c'è il divertimento del pubblico. I loro Bootleg sono celeberrimi tra appassionati ed addetti ai lavori, li hanno portati al top della scena musicale, fino ad avere una collaborazione costante tanti top dj e qualche tempo fa pure uno spazio specifico su Radio Deejay.

Sarà un'estate magica, tutta da vivere con gli amici con il sorriso sulle labbra, quella che è iniziata venerdì 13 e sabato 14 maggio al Molo di Brescia. Lo slogan è il titolo di una scanzonata hit anni '90 degli italianissimi Playahitty: The Summer is magic! In realtà, in inglese, si dovrebbe dire Summer is magic, senza the... ma chi se ne importa. Il ritmo è alto, fa finalmente e ci si può divertire.

Dopo un lungo periodo di stop dovuto al Covid e dopo una seconda parte di stagione di successo assoluto al Circus beatclub, infatti, lo staff del Molo dà vita ad una disco estiva che sarà aperta fino a settembre inoltrato per oltre 60 serate tutte da vivere. In città, senza fare chilometri e chilometri per poter ballare bene e/o bere qualcosa di nuovo in un grande e curato giardino.

Gran parte del Molo è stata appena rinnovata: l'impianto luci ed il grande ledwall, i banchi bar, i servizi... tutta la struttura è quindi perfetta per far passare serate da sogno ai ragazzi di Brescia e non solo.

Nel corso dell'estate al Molo si esibiranno artisti italiani ed internazionali che verranno annunciati via via nel corso della stagione, nomi davvero importanti... Ecco qualche anticipazione.

Il weekend del Molo - Brescia inizia ogni venerdì con Friday Format, una festa decisamente scatenata che propone i migliori party format in circolazione: ad esempio, spesso al Molo arriverà lo crew di Vida Loca, lo scatenato evento pop che mette sul palco un vero corpo di ballo ed ottimi dj come Tommy Luciani e Giulia Alberti. Non è tutto: ecco infatti appuntamenti come Random, 90 in Wonderland, TRL e tanti dj internazionali. Venerdì 13 maggio si parte con Off Beat, il venerdì del Circus, un appuntamento pieno di stile e musica.

Il sabato del Molo di Brescia sarà dedicato anche ai più giovani (dai 16 anni in su) e metterà in console, accanto ai resident, super dj come Botteghi, Stefano Pain e tanti altri. I sabati da ballare sono tanti, per fortuna, visto che si balla dal 14 maggio al 24 settembre.

Il 9 giugno 2022 inizia poi Frio, il party del giovedì sera del Molo, forse l'appuntamento più "up" della settimana. E' una festa dedicata a chi vuol iniziare il fine settimana con qualche ora d'anticipo e continuare a diversi anche dopo l'aperitivo o la cena in città con i propri amici. Si balla e ci si diverte, già dalle 21:30 e fino alle 02:30.

Ci saranno anche altri appuntamenti, soprattutto la domenica sera, ma intanto una cosa è sicura: al Molo di Brescia, durante l'estate 2022, si balla e lo si fa ai massimi livelli.

YEEAAAAH, gettin’ this in before midnight! 115 icons of Felix Sabatier, my Monoma-relevant OC, because it’s his birthday (October 6th)! I’ve been kinda busy, so this was all I could manage in time--and it barely even scratches the surface of the amount of source content I have for icons, phew! Ideally, I would make the colored icons with eyes that are more hazel in color and the b/w ones with a gold gradient (that matches the blue one I use for Monoma), but that’s...a lot. orz

Pokemon Verse

Mirai, OC son of Neito Monoma and Felix Sabatier, in certain verses.

Individual Pokémon descriptions, abilities, and movesets under the cut.

Abra can sense danger through a telepathic radar. When it does, it teleports to a safe location. However, it sometimes becomes panicked if it wakes in an unknown location. Due to the strain of its telepathic powers, however, Abra sleeps 18 hours each day. If it fails to rest long enough, it will become unable to use its powers.

Nature / Characteristic: impish / capable of taking hits

Ability Synchronize: The attacker will receive the same status condition if it inflicts a burn, poison, or paralysis to the Pokémon.

Moves Teleport: A psychic move for fleeing from battle instantly. Psychic: A powerful psychic attack that may lower Sp. Def. Foul Play: The user turns the target's power against it. The higher the target's Attack stat, the greater the damage. Rest: The user takes a nap to fully restore its HP and recover from any status abnormalities.

Tyrogue is famous for its eagerness to compete and boundless energy, to such an extent that it will challenge anyone, even larger foes. Determined to make itself stronger, Tyrogue will not quit no matter how many times it loses. As Tyrogue becomes stressed if it is not able to train every day, its trainer must maintain a regular training schedule.

Nature / Characteristic: brave / proud of its power

Ability Steadfast: The Pokémon's determination boosts the Speed stat each time the Pokémon flinches.

Moves Fake Out: An attack that hits first and makes the target flinch. This move works only on the first turn. Foresight: Completely negates the foe's efforts to heighten its ability to evade. It also enables the user to hit a Ghost type with any type of move. Mind Reader: Senses the foe's action to ensure the next move's hit. Hidden Power: A unique attack that varies in type and intensity depending on the Pokémon using it.

(Male)

Kirlia has the psychic power to create a rip in the dimensions and see into the future. It is said to dance with pleasure on sunny mornings. The cheerful spirit of its trainer gives it energy for its psychokinetic power.

Nature / Characteristic: naive / impetuous and silly

Ability Telepathy: Anticipates an ally's attack and dodges it.

Moves Future Sight: Two turns after this move is used, the foe is attacked psychically. Disarming Voice: Letting out a charming cry, the user does emotional damage to opposing Pokémon. This attack never misses. Charm: The user gazes at the target rather charmingly, making it less wary. This harshly lowers its Attack stat. Taunt: The foe is taunted into a rage that allows it to use only attack moves.

Although Espeon originally had no powers at all, people say its precognitive faculties were awakened by its need to protect itself. Its velvety fur is able to sense minute shifts in the air, thus allowing it to predict the weather. It also has a thin, forked tail that quivers when it predicts its opponent's moves. Psychic power builds up in the orb on its forehead as it bathes in the sunshine. When its power is exhausted, the orb grows dull and dark.

Nature / Characteristic: mild / often lost in thought

Ability Magic Bounce: Reflects status moves, instead of getting hit by them.

Moves Future Sight: Two turns after this move is used, the foe is attacked psychically. Detect: Enables the user to evade all attacks. Its chance of failing rises if it is used in succession. Baby-Doll Eyes: The user stares at the target with its baby-doll eyes, which lowers its Attack stat. This move always goes first. Return: A full-power attack that grows more powerful the more the user likes its trainer.

Xatu is said to be able to foretell the future with a high degree of accuracy, but it is unknown whether its prophecies are correct. Its right eye sees the future and its left eye views the past. Some believe this Pokémon stays still and quiet out of fear of the terrible things it has foreseen in the future.

Nature / Characteristic: quirky / loves to eat

Ability Early Bird: The Pokémon awakens twice as fast as other Pokémon from sleep.

Moves Future Sight: Two turns after this move is used, the foe is attacked psychically. Miracle Eye: Enables the user to hit a Dark type with any type of move. It also enables the user to hit an evasive foe. Ominous Wind: The user blasts the target with a gust of repulsive wind. This may also raise all the user's stats at once. Wish: One turn after this move is used, the user's or its replacement's HP is restored by half the user's max HP.

Lucario can study auras to predict the movements of their opponents and track their quarry. They also have the power to manipulate this energy in an offensive manner, in the form of explosive spheres of energy. It can understand human speech and has been reported to communicate with humans through telepathy. It is considered to be prideful, and is extremely loyal to its Trainer. It also seems to have a natural sense of justice.

Nature / Characteristic: calm / strong-willed

Ability Inner Focus: The Pokémon's intensely focused, and that protects the Pokémon from flinching.

Moves Aura Sphere: The user lets loose a blast of aura power from deep within its body at the target. This attack never misses. Detect: Enables the user to evade all attacks. Its chance of failing rises if it is used in succession. Me First: The user tries to cut ahead of the foe to steal and use the foe's intended move with greater power. Laser Focus: The user concentrates intensely. The attack on the next turn always results in a critical hit.

Prima di leggervi tutta questa bella cavalcata elettronica, pensate a qualche altra realtà del clubbing italiano che comunica tutto ciò che fa fino a maggio a gennaio. Non vi viene in mente niente, se non l’Amnesia di Milano? Fate bene, perché Minù e Amnesia sono fari in una notte senza fine. Per diventare sogno, per far emozionare prima di tutto bisogna sapere per tempo chi si è e cosa si fa. (LT)

Minù annuncia tutto il cartellone 2018 della sua rassegna al Circolo degli Illuminati. La programmazione di quest’anno si centra principalmente sulla nuova scena inglese con la presenza nel cartellone di nomi come i giovani maestri dell’IDM Mount Kimbie e Actress, l’oramai leggendario resident del club Fabric Craig Richards, e la scuola UK garage con Denis Sulta, Midland, Pearson Sound, Felix Dickinson, Shanti Celeste, Joy Orbison, Willow.

Altri punti focali del programma sono i veterani della house parigina Cabanne e Shonky e la scena berlinese rappresentata da Edward, Tama Sumo, Virginia e l'italiano Massimiliano Pagliara.

Attesissimi gli arrivi anche delle promesse Mall Grabb e Baba Stiltz, due personaggi che sembrano essere destinati a conquistare la scena elettronica mondiale dei prossimi anni.

Febbraio comincia con il set incendiario dell’ucraino Vakula, con un crocevia di suoni e ispirazioni: dal funk alla disco, dal jazz al rock psichedelico, il tutto amalgamato con basi ritmiche dub techno e deep house.

Previsti anche i set di due delle più grandi soprese del panorama house recente: Mall Grabb (10 febraio) e Denis Sulta (24febbraio). Il primo ha solo 23 anni e sta conquistando la scena europea, garantendosi un posto di riguardo nei club e nei festival di tutto il mondo. Ad accompagnarlo la sorpresa di Manchester Willow.

Denis Sulta è invece uno dei talenti più fulgidi del movimento elettronico britannico. Cresciuto a Glasgow, questo deejay fonde magistralmente la tradizione house e garage con le nuove correnti moderne.

Il 17 febbraio arrivano al Circolo degli Illuminati due colonne portanti del famoso club parigino Concrete: Cabanne e Lowris con il loro progetto K.O.D. Entrambi insieme a Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Akufen o Richie Hawtin sono maestri del genere minimal. Lowris è anche uno dei resident deejay internazionali di Minù.

Marzo è a tutto volume con una programmazione ricchissima di contenuti e assolutamente variegata.

Spicca su tutte la data del 24 marzo con il back to back inedito di Mount Kimbie e Actress, due progetti fondamentali per la nuova IDM ed elettronica britannica. I tre saranno in tour inedito con anteprima nazionale proprio a Roma. A seguire il set di Tama Sumo: una delle artefici del sound house del famoso Berghain / Panorama Bar e Lakuti punto fermo per la scena elettronica inglese e sudafricana.

Il 7 marzo sarà a Roma Shonky, membro del celebre progetto Apollonia. Il deejay francese nelle sue produzioni e nei suoi set realizza una house sensuale e accattivante. Il suo grande successo: “Le Velour” è una hit internazionale sui cui stelle come Delano Smith e i Martinez Brothers hanno realizzato dei remix altrettanto celebri.

Sabato 10 marzo sarà invece la volta di Shanti Celeste, ennesimo talento sfornato dalla città di Bristol. Di origini cilene, questa giovane artista si è fatta conoscere per un’elettronica che mischia sonorità garage al soul, con ripetute allusioni alla musica dance degli anni ’90.

Sempre dal Regno Unito, ecco Pearson Sound (17 marzo): un deejay capace di unire dubstep, house, garage e techno in uno stile assolutamente personale, grazie al quale ha potuto remixare artisti come Radiohead, The XX.

Si chiude il mese (sabato 31) all’insegna della deep house con i set del berlinese Edward e di Lowris, resident deejay internazionale del Circolo degli Illuminati.

Il tedesco si è fatto conoscere per le sue pubblicazioni avvenute principalmente su Giegling, etichetta di tendenza in Germania che con un sound inconfondibile è in grandissima ascesa nel mondo dell’elettronica.

APRILE

7.04 Craig Richards 14.04 Virginia + Grandbrothers (live) 21.04 Baba Stiltz 28.04 Joy Orbison

Il mese di aprile sarà inaugurato il 7 da Craig Richards, una delle autorità più conosciute e rispettate della club culture Inglese. Dal 1999 è resident deejay e direttore artistico dei sabati al leggendario club londinese Fabric, a cui da vent’anni ha dato un’impronta musicale unica, scovando e contribuendo alla notorietà di personaggi come Ricardo Villalobos. I set di Craig Richards sono impossibili da etichettare: spaziano dalla dub reggae, al soul, alla disco, fino alla house e alla techno più raffinata.

Si passa il 14 a Virginia, Dj, cantante e produttrice che ha saputo unire la musica pop ed electro legata agli anni ’90 con le nuove sonorità house e deep del Berghain / Panorama Bar, di cui è resident deejay dal 2012. Sempre il 14 aprile ci sarà il live del duo tedesco Grandbrothers, che attraverso pianoforti e synth creano un ponte tra la techno e l’IDM e l’ambient music.

Il suo ultimo album “Fierce for the Night” è adatto sia all’ascolto sia ad infiammare le piste da ballo.

Data davvero interessante sarà quella del 21 aprile con la prima volta a Roma di Baba Stiltz, nuovo fenomeno della dance svedese in uscita con la celebre XL Recordings (Prodigy, Radiohead, Adele ecc.). Il producer e deejay di Stoccolma è riuscito a creare un repertorio personalissimo, che ha messo d’accordo la leggenda techno Sven Vath e il rapper Drake.

Il 28 aprile sarà il turno di Joy Orbison, maestro della garage house inglese. Puntando sul contrasto tra stati euforici e melanconici, con il singolo “Hyph Mngo” ha creato un terremoto negli ambienti underground inglesi.

MAGGIO

05.05 Mangaboo 12.05 Midland 19.05 Massimiliano Pagliara

Maggio comincerà con il live dei Mangaboo, duo composto da Giulietta Passera (The Sweet Life Society) e Francesco Pistoi (Motel Connection) una coppia inedita che presenterà il suo primo album omonimo con un live che unisce house music, jazz, techno e soul per una sintesi unica difficilmente ritrovabile in Italia.

Il progetto ha destato l’entusiasmo anche di Jovanotti che li ha invitati a realizzare uno showcase al suo recente format “Jova Pop Shop”.

Il 12 maggio continua il viaggio della rassegna di Minù al Circolo degli Illuminati con la nuova scena clubbing britannica. A salire in consolle: Harry Agius noto principalmente come Midland.

Tra tutti gli artisti proposti in questo 2018, Midland è il deejay con maggiore flirt con la techno, malgrado l’epicentro della sua musica affonda le proprie radici nella house e nelle produzioni degli anni d’oro della “Madchester”.

Ultima data prima della chiusura stagionale con Massimiliano Pagliara, uno dei deejay italiani più apprezzati in Germania per quanto riguarda la musica house e disco. In pochissimo tempo il deejay è riuscito a diventare resident deejay di alcuni club più iconografici in Europa: il Live at Robert Johnson di Francoforte e il Berhain / Panorama Bar di Berlino.
