TITLE: ‘CORRUPTION’
- Testimonio
I am Fearl Princess G. Flores, a resident and concerned citizen of the Municipality of Mabini, Davao de Oro. I am writing this testimonio to shed light on the corruption and abuses committed by the former Mayor Reynaldo L. Dayanghirang.
During his term, Mayor Dayanghirang has abused his power and authority by prioritizing his personal interests over the welfare and this testimonial to speak out against the corruption of our former mayor, Reynaldo L. Dayanghirang.
Mayor Dayanghirang engaged in numerous corrupt practices while in office. He embezzled government funds and misused the municipal budget for personal gain. He awarded contracts to his cronies and supporters, no matter how unqualified they were for the job. The municipality suffered from a lack of essential services and infrastructure projects, as these funds went straight into his pocket.
Moreover, Mayor Dayanghirang abused his power by intimidating his critics and opponents. He silenced the media and community activists who dared to speak out against his corruption. He used his position of authority to cover up his wrongdoings and prevent exposure of his illegal activities.
The people of our municipality have suffered greatly under the corrupt leadership of Reynaldo L. Dayanghirang. We deserve better. As the youth of this town, we demand justice and accountability. We urge the authorities to investigate and prosecute Mayor Dayanghirang for his corrupt practices. It is time to end this cycle of corruption and restore transparency and honesty to our local government.
We must always hold our elected officials to the highest standards of ethics and morality. We must not allow corrupt politicians to take advantage of our community and exploit our resources. Let us unite and fight against corruption, and demand that our leaders serve us with integrity so that we can build a brighter future for our town and our country.

TITLE: AN ADVENTURE I HAD WITH MY FAMILY
BY: FEARL PRINCESS GALLEGO FLORES
When I was seven years old, my family and I were on vacation at a beach resort. We were out swimming in the ocean when suddenly I couldn't touch the ground anymore. I started to panic as the waves were pulling me further out into the water. I screamed for help but my voice was drowned out by the crashing waves.
Just as I thought I was going to drown, I felt someone grab me from behind and pull me up onto a surfboard. It was a kind stranger who had seen me struggling and came to my rescue. He brought me back to shore and made sure I was okay before leaving.
That experience made me realize the importance of knowing how to swim and being aware of my surroundings when in the water. I took swimming lessons and made sure to always swim in designated areas with lifeguards on duty. I never forgot the stranger who saved my life and it made me want to help others in need whenever possible.

The Challenges I Faced During My Junior Year
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people worldwide in various significant ways, and students are no exception. As a junior high student myself, I've experienced firsthand the impact of this pandemic on my studies and daily life.
When my school district announced that schools would be closed due to the pandemic, I was gutted. I missed being in the classroom with my friends and teachers, and I worried about how this would affect my education. However, I knew that I had to adapt and stay focused on my academic goals.
Online learning quickly became the new norm, and it brought some significant changes to the way I learned. While attending classes from home was initially challenging, I discovered that the flexibility of online learning allowed me to work at my own pace and thoroughly understand the course materials. It also taught me to be more self-disciplined and organized with my study time.
Despite the distance, I still felt connected to my friends and classmates. We would chat and check up on each other via social media and video calls. This helped to maintain the strong bonds we had developed in class before the pandemic.
In conclusion, the pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives, including education. The shift to online learning has been a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I am confident that with resilience and tenacity, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
