Well, we celebrated 🎈DILLY'S 2nd BIRTHDAY🎈, the start of summer, and Father's Day the only way we know how this weekend... more outdoor adventures!!!🐾🏕🏖🛶🌅. . . We took her to the Ausable River Cut for her first day-trip on the paddleboard! Beautiful weather, lots of wildlife, families enjoying cottages, the dunes, warm, calm water, and our goofball in her bright yellow lifejacket!😆 Dilly learnt when to control her excitement so we wouldn't flip and figured out the best spot to slide off the board for a swim!🏄‍♀️ We finished off her day with a special kibble omelette, watching the summer solstice sunset, and sleeping outside under the stars🌌. . . Without any pup-friendly beaches in Sarnia, we've had to get a bit creative with where we can go to "water the dog" 😂 Quick jumps into the Bay or around the Marina aren't all that fun (or safe), so our SUP has been a great way to get her out into the lake without getting in trouble for being on the beach! I took her out before our Father's Day celebrations again yesterday and ALL hesitations were GONE! She hopped right up onto the board, ready to go, then was LEAPING off to swim circles around me!!! LOL. We have a water dog folks!!!🙌🐾🌊😎. . . Rounding off the birthday weekend with some wonderful Father's Day visits and finally having a meal with some of the people who we (and Dilly!) have been missing the most over the past 3 months💙💙. It was definitely a much needed nature and family weekend! . . Cheers to all of the supportive men out there, the ones who've been incremental in our lives, and, OF COURSE, to another fun year with our Silly Dilly🐶!!! . .
