(Archivo / La Voz)

With the Olympics postponed until next year, Argentina Olympic coach Fernando Batista was set to release a preliminary list of 50 players.
However, that list will now change. As we reported earlier, the IOC have confirmed the postponement of the games until no further than next year. While a lot can happen between now and the time the Olympics take place, Ole have release a rumored list of what would have been preliminary players for the tournament.

A problem with the Olympics being delayed is that 17 of those 50 players would be over the age of 23 and would not be allowed to participate. Unless a change of rule was done, here would be 17 of the 50 players who wouldn’t be allowed to take part:
Goalkeepers: Facundo Cambeses (Banfield)
Defenders: Hernán De La Fuente (Vélez) Facundo Nadalín (Newell’s) Gonzalo Montiel (River) Leonel Mosevich (Nacional – Portugal) Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord – Netherlands) Claudio Bravo (Banfield) Gonzalo Escobar (Colón)

Alexis Mac Allister scores as Argentina win vs. Ecuador in Olympic qualifier
Alexis Mac Allister scored for the Argentina U23 team in their 1-0 win vs. Ecuador in the Olympic qualifiers.
It’s two goals in two matches for Mac Allister and a second assist of the tournament for Adolfo Gaich. Argentina once more took an early lead as Mac Allister received the ball, passed it to Gaich, made a run where Gaich would return the pass and Alexis would score to give Argentina the lead.
Goalscorer from the second game Nehuen Perez would make a goal line clearance in the second half. With goalkeeper Facundo Cambese beaten, John Sanchez of Ecuador would attempt a shot but Nehuen Perez would stop it with his head.

Alexis Mac Allister secures draw for Argentina U23 vs. Paraguay
Argentina U23 coach Fernando Batista has started preparing for the Olympic qualifiers which begin later this month. Fielding a strong side vs. Paraguay, it was the Paraguay who took an early lead. Argentina goalkeeper Facundo Cambeses didn’t make the best of a cross sent into the area which would fall to Jesus Medina and his strike gave Paraguay the advantage.
The lead wouldn’t last for long. Nicolas Capaldo was fouled inside the penalty area as Argentina were awarded a penalty. Wearing the number 10 shirt, Boca Juniors man Alexis Mac Allister would take the spot kick and draw Argentina level.
Here was the starting eleven:
Facundo Cambeses Marcelo Herrera Nehuen Perez Facundo Medina Claudio Bravo Matias Zaracho Nicolas Capaldo Julian Alvarez Alexis Mac Allister Agustin Urzi Adolfo Gaich
