First, let me start off by saying: Sorry for lack of Power Rankings, I had some family issues occur last week and I was unable to get them out in a timely manner. My apologies to all 3 of you that enjoy these.
Now then, we are so close to playoffs! There are more shocks in this season than there are in an electric chair. Rare Footage is in FIRST, yes, that’s not a typo. Prestige Futbol is in 3rd, and I still feel like an idiot for putting them so low. Oh, and We Have Heart might get relegated due to lack of heart, ironic. These Power Rankings are going to be a little different this time. Without further ado, here’s a summary of all teams in their playoff scenario:
Locks to Get in:
Rare Footage – First place by a wide margin. They have the most explosive offense and a more than stable defense. They are more than capable to win it all and look like they will. iJackson x9 has 13 goals and SHIEK l 10 l has 10 assists. Very impressed with this team and I hope they are the next team to join the FVPAA’s elite.
Never Unlucky FC  – NU is still elite, last FIFA wasn’t a fluke. They will be a tough out for any team and they can score at will. Their defense has actually been a lot better than some may think and that’s the main reason they are having so much success. They could easily win it all again.
Viva Futbol – They are Viva, I don’t care what place they are in (5th in case you were wondering). They haven’t technically clinched but I mean…. They’re in… Defense is still the main key for them. They can score in bunches and are still the most talented team; they have just had slip-ups. They will be the team to beat as defending champions. FHz Ozil 11 has been a huge addition for them providing 11 goals so far. As if they needed the help.
Eclipse CF – This could be one of the best defensive units we have ever seen. Their team defense is second to none, but their offense is still a little shaky. They can hold teams off but they need to score more if they are going to make a long run again.
Barring a Miracle
Dumptruck CF – Yep, they climbed back and proved me wrong. I’m sure they are more than happy to let me know about it too. They haven’t lost a game in over two weeks. They are streaking at the right time and have hit their stride. 4th place is a great position for them and could even move up as well. I’ll be more than surprised if they don’t make it into playoffs.
Prestige Futbol – They’re in 3rd and I’m still trying to figure out how. Taco Bale is making a STRONG case for MVP and he has led this squad into quite the position. Prestige has easily been shock of the season. Good for them.
Still Some Work to Do
Clockwork – 20 goals in 22 games but only 13 given up. I’m not gonna say I called it, but I was spot on… They should get in with their talent but if they can’t score, I don’t see how it can happen.
Bang Nation – Again, only 20 goals scored. Wake. Up. Offense. If you want to be a D1 contender, score some goals. I didn’t start the #BangBros for this. Although I am mighty impressed with the defense, the offense remains a huge issue.
American Outlaws – They currently sit in 9th place and guess what? Absolutely no one is surprised! They have a -3 GD which is looking ugly and could cost them a playoff spot in the end. They have the talent to get it, but it’s AO… You never know with them.
Unleashed CF – Horrible start but they are fighting and clawing their way back led by Viva Calvo. I would absolutely hate to see them in playoffs if they make it. That’s a trap game waiting to happen. Their experience could be the reason why they make it in. they are too talented to miss out…. Or so you’d think…
FC PredatorZ – Their manager promised they were going to make playoffs. As reality sets in from their amazing start to the season, they looking less and less like a playoff team. Their defense has been huge and offense has been efficient enough but they might need to go above and beyond to snatch a playoff spot.
Relegation Looms Large
Carnage FC – Ride l Murked l into mid-table and survive. Literally, you have one job. Get him the ball and play SOME defense. That’s it.
Primitive FC – They are in a scary spot. 29 points in 25 games. Their position in the table (13th) is a little mis-leading since they have played more games than everyone. They are in some deep trouble and this week they NEED points.
Quality Futbol – Whatever quality they have, it isn’t scoring. 26 goals given up isn’t bad, but 19 scored is an issue, You just wonder when they will put it together. They better do it fast or else they are going to D2 next season.
We Have Heart – 20 goals given up in 21 games. That’s pretty awesome, but then you look at their offense. 14 goals scored. 14. One more time, 14. You almost deserve to be relegated at that point. How has a squad with this good players been so unbelievably stale on offense? You got 2 weeks to figure something out.
Futbol Fino – Again, not a bad team on paper, but on the field just awful. 14 goals scored. Terrible, just awful.
Bye
The Replacements – Well… At least you tried…
Take Notes – R.I.P.

And we’re back for another season of ACL in FIFA 17, and it has a LOT of potential! I feel like I say this every ACL season, but this could be the most competitive. That is probably due to the talent pool being deeper than ever but it still hasn’t stopped Viva Futbol from winning ACLs.
Lots of older teams coming back but also lots of newly formed ones as well come into this season with high hopes. We have well known, great teams that have made a comeback like Unleashed and Dumptruck, and new teams like Clockwork and D2 Champions, Bang Nation. This ACL though is mostly about teams that once shined bright, quit, and now are back at it again.
Headlines
Unleashed CF and Dumptruck CF, Will They Be Legit?
Let’s take a moment and put ourselves back into a time where dinosaurs were still roaming the planet and the ACL was just still a thought. Dumptruck were a lethal team full of great players, who all now mostly have stopped playing out side of a few talented players. Dirty l 6 l and his team eventually made a team in the league known as VIFA, had success, and then when ACL came back around after a short hiatus, he renamed the old Dumptruck name into Intense Futbol and Dumptruck was simply used as a holder club name for small search matches. And now 5,396 years later, and many FIFAs later, they are back and looking much different. Dumptruck now sits in a place where they could be reaching their full potential and be led to the glory they once had with the T-Rexes, or they could be a huge bust and die a brutal death. They have plenty of talent to make a run, will they accept the challenge and be great or falter into a shadow of their former selves?
Now we back in time to ACL Season 10, not nearly as far back as Dumptruck, where Unleashed CF has just been embarassed in the ACL Final by FC Serenity and the fallen giants could not get back up from defeat even after a “One Clubs League” title and winning ACL Season 6. Now with new life, Viva Calvo has brought back his former club and reignited them for another championship run to find success again. They are locked and loaded for another shot, but they do have some questionable characters on the team. Calvo has the ability both as a player and a manager to make things work, but it won’t be easy considering how strong the ACL competition has become.
Take Notes… On How to Win Illegitimately?
ACL… A league that we all have come to know and love. And yet, some people still don’t know what it means. Don’t worry, I’ll explain it. It stands for: American Clubs League. One more time for you people in the back: AMERICAN Clubs League. Let’s count how many Americans are on this Take Notes roster… 1…2… And that’s it… 2, count it, 2 Americans on a roster for an American league. WOW, I know that Take Notes (Serenity) has relied on some British people in the past but this is next level. I’m not saying they are untalented by any means because they are clearly talented and always are; but at what price do you want to get carried, as an American. You basically sell yourself out accept that you won’t win with all Americans in an American community. Don’t get me wrong, I can accept the occasional Brit or two, but at some point it becomes ridiculous. Don’t get me started on the lag issues this could potentially cause along with scheduling issues it could cause.
Either way, I think about it like this: If they win this ACL, how do we look at it later on or even now? British players won the American league, how do we prove who the best Americans are? By making a league.. Oh wait… How do we prove who the best American team is? By making a league… Oh wait… It’s just a revolving door of the same answers. My solution, set a limit on how many non-Americans you can have or you can’t participate. My number would be 5-6 but either way we need to set a precedent. This is bad and distasteful for the ACL. British people winning the American league… Leaves a sour taste.
Teams to look out for this ACL:
Quality Futbol – They have quietly built their team into a good position to give teams a run for their money led by Air Ronaldo and TheNatural21 up top.
Bang Nation – The D2 champs are out to prove that they mean business and belong in D1. They are an offensive team that will need some good defense for good results.
Clockwork – On paper, they look deadly. Key results against top teams will be their rise or downfall. Offensive consistency could be an issue for them.
Players on the Rise:
cW DeToX – Clockwork
Fatal Enjoyment – Bang Nation
Sheffy l 8 l – Rare Footage
quenchingfir834 – We Have Heart
  Power Rankings:
1.)  Viva Futbol – As long as they keep winning, I’ll put them #1. They are always in the mix to win as long as they participate. It’s the same cast as it was on Most Decorated and as you have guessed, a new FIFA doesn’t mean they have gotten worse. They are still the team to beat.
Player to look out for: Aztecas vF – The Ballon D’Or winner looks to carry over his momentum from last FIFA and go back to back. It all starts this season though where he actually still might be a Golden Goal threat while winning Clean Sheet Leader.
2.) Never Unlucky FC – NUFC comes back again for their 95th ACL title run. They were able to win one last FIFA, and look like they can win another on a new game. They brought in Thibeault x and hope to keep their scoring habits up. They are certainly a team that can win it all again.
Player to look out for: OP KNOCK– Knock had an incredible FIFA 16 and can easily keep his form up with the best supporting cast around him than in previous seasons.
3.) Eclipse CF – Holy cow this team looks massively upgraded. They made the Finals last season and got better. Their defense is 100% different now with Nick l 5 l, former MVP lvl 0 arcanine, and HELIX l 7 l. Alos having TGxCFD15 in the midfield is a huge upgrade as well. They are serious title contenders this season.
Player to look out for: NeNe – NeNe didn’t have the best ACL last season but looks to bounce back with a lot better attacking options around him.
4.) Take Notes – Well… I wish I could say I knew a lot about this team but they are all from foreign land. They are all some of the UK’s top talent and then there’s Gundo7 x. This team will ride or die on their defense seeing as their offense is already in mid-season form.
Player to look out for: Dylshkin67 x – Dylsh is back again for another ACL and is still one of the most efficient attackers in the FVPAA. One of the only consistent UK players in the ACL.
5.)  Unleashed CF – Calvo brings back his old club from the dead and is looking to regain his old success after his worst season yet at FC Phoenix. Calvo brings along True Suarez, Dont4getHarambe, SwainAFC, Walker l 2 l, and WarMachine199. They have plenty of potential and can be a title threat if they start out well.
Player to look out for: FC Violent – Last time we saw Violent, he wasn’t particularly successful even though he is still a decent player. He will have to up his game is UCF are to be successful.
6.) Clockwork– streets1014 has been around forever but has recruited a team that certainly raises some eyebrows. This team is the ultimate wildward. They have great players, high risk players, and plenty of questions. They could either be a title contender, or an implosion turned to terror.
Player to look out for: cW Shake – Shake makes a return to the FIFA scene and if he can reform himself into the old Shake, Clockwork won’t have many goals conceded.
7.) Dumptruck CF – Again they are back from the dead, and Dirty l 6 l looks to lead them to their former glory. Most likely, like most Dirty led teams, they will be defensive minded, concede little goals and counter. They will be a tough out and will be be run by egos.
Player to look out for: Luka Lockup – Luka, if playing full time, is one of the biggest difference makers in the game. His performance will directly affect Dumptruck’s performance.
8.) We Have Heart – We Have Heart is sneaky good. They have good talent everywhere, but not so much elite. TheePastorDave is a really good CB, Kante x 7 is an extremely good defensive midfielder, and manager Cheeks Mcfly is one of the better playmaking midfielders around. They will sneak up on a lot of people.
Player to look out for: l Marsbars11 l– We all know his story, and his mentality. He is an amazing CB but is always a questionable guy.
9.) American Outlaws– AO is back again and look to get back into playoffs again. DiLo has recruited the likes of HYPE RAZOR, IGI Dom l7l (yes, again), Cpt Juizo, and o2DaTruth3o to help that cause. They are good enough to beat some of the top teams and make some noise this season
Player to look out for: Skrillex l 1 l – He has been away for a while but if he is back in-form, his a great GK. Hopefully his near-post is covered this time.
10.) Rare Footage – I hate putting this team this low because there is a lot of talent on this team and they could be so much higher. They have DoN l 2 l, Unlucky Owen, and Lee l 7 l leading the defense and iJackson x9 and SHIEK l 10 l to lead the attack. They are a very dangerous team and could sneak into playoffs and cause a lot of teams trouble with their counters.
Player to look out for: U90 l Robben – Robben is one of those players that have been hyped up by everyone has performed no matter what. He is growing into quite the player and could be key for RF.
11.) Quality Futbol – Quality is another team that is sneaky good. They are decent on paper and their role players are going to be their key. They have known names but the unknown ones will have to step up or else they will finish poorly.
Player to look out for: TheNatural21 – Natural, the former MVP candidate, is back at it again and playing with Air Ronaldo at CAM only makes his chance to have a good season better. He will be leaned on a lot on this squad.
12.) Futbol Fino – Don’t sleep on this team. The former Arrechos team looks to rebound after last season. They are going to be good once again. I think they’ll miss playoffs in the end but they will give teams a tough test and ruin some other teams’s playoff chances.
Player to look out for: lL lA lK lE – He is a growing and developing CB and is slowing turning into one of the better CBs the league has to offer. His play will be important to this squad.
13.) Bang Nation – #BangBros are the next D2 champ to try their efforts into D1. They are offensively gifted and defensively a big question mark. Their midfield can make things happen but are normally able to to be countered badly. They need a good start to the season to stay in D1.
Player to look out for: Fatal Enjoyment – Fatal is the manager and leader of this squad. He’s one of the best D2 scorers the league has ever seen and he hopes to keep that going in D1.
14.) Chosen Few FC– This is where all the teams become relegation fighters. Chosen Few have the experince to stay alive but do they have the talent?
Player to look out for: Lx Ricky xL – Ricky is key because they are going to be facing a lot of shots this season and he’ll need to be the one that stops them.
15.) Primitive FC – Primitive is another team that will be fighting HARD for relegation. Their team is molded of a whole bunch of D2 players formed into one team. Should be interesting.
Player to look out for: Insane Abate – He made D2 TOTS and is seeming to find his old form before his hiatus from FIFA. He will be a good defender for them.
16.) Prestige Futbol – Prestige survived the drop this last season but I don’t think they will be so lucky this season. They don’t have the talent to keep up anymore but they can be lucky.
Player to look out for: Taco Bale – Bale has been a good scorer the past few seasons and he’ll need to keep it that way if they are to stay in D1.
17.) Carnage FC – Carnage is a nightmare on paper. I see about 3 to 4 good names on there and the rest are disappointing. They seemed destined to go to D2.
Player to look out for: Highclass XN – He is a fantastic player on such a poor looking team. How??
18.) FC PredatorZ– Well PredatorZ, I like you guys a lot. But D1 is D1, and you have choked in D2 playoffs twice… Good luck.
Player to look out for: xxKRONERxx – He is their best player by far and is a great defender. He will be their saving grace this season.
Predictions:
MVP – Dylshkin67 x
Golden Boot – Dylshkin67 x
Assist Leader – Andressi vF
Clean Sheet Leader (DEF): Ramani vF, Aztecas vF
Clean Sheet Leader (GK): Walter vF
Finals: Eclipse CF (2 seed) vs Viva Futbol (1 seed)
Have a great season, everyone!

And now for the grand finale! The very complex, very sensitive, and very impressive midfield selection. I will select the midfielders based off of the role they play in the field. Some will be CAMs, some will be CDMs, and others will be outside midfielders. Anyone who plays the CM role will also be classified as a CDM. Let’s get this show on the road at start with the CAMs.
CAM:
1.) Andressi vF – Andressi once again tops the CAM list and it’s a surprise to no one. He may play a bit like a striker but I don’t think he or anyone on Viva cares as long as he plays on the level that he does.
2.) FaintFoal128729 – Another player who is on top of the CAM list again. No emerging CAMs have come through so Balo’s rough starts to FIFA is a little overshadowed but the fact the FVPAA’s weakest position is something he is better than almost everyone at says a lot.
3.) Lectural Cheeky – Cheeky once again showed his versatility by play CDM and CB for his first ACL title at Never Unlucky but his CAM play is far superior and is one of the best FVPAA has. Cheeky shows many strikers gold.
4.) EcF Marvinho – Marvin has drastically improved his game at CAM and is #4 spot on this list should be a surprise to no one as he led his team to the ACL Finals once and played a very good CAM in the process.
5.) Unlucky Dustin – Dustin is a transformed winger and he has proven that no matter what attacking position he is in, he will always be a good player and a threat to opposing defenses.
6.) IGI Dom l7l – Dom played a little bit of ST and outside mid this FIFA but he mostly played CAM and it’s probably his best position. His passing and dribbling are his main attributes and he does them better than most.
7.) Viva Ideen – Deen may or may not have cheated his stats and may be a terrible manager, but he is a damn good CAM. His vision and ability to start counters are vital to his team Artistic and he is a leader on the field.
8.) l EcuaDt 10 l – DT quietly does his business and performs well on a poor team. Makes you wonder how good he would be and what kind of stats he’d put up if he decided to play on a title contender.
9.) Air Ronaldo – Ronaldo is one of the streakiest players in the VPN but his highs outweigh his lows most of the time and he can be a special player when is playing in-form.
10.) SHIEK l 10 l – Shiek rounds out the list at #10 and he started off this FIFA very highly but slowly declined as time went on. He’ll look to rebound come FIFA 17.
CDM:
1.) Vallejos vF – Vallejos finally won his elusive title and now he gets to be on top of the rankings as well. Vallejos stepped up his game and really proved to the FVPAA why he is the best current DM right now.
2.) TGxCFD15 – TG will always be TG and near the top of this list every time I produce one. TG may not have had his best FIFA but even then he is still better than just about everyone. He could be even deadlier in FIFA 17.
3.) Rewind vF – Rewind is the last of the top tier of CDMs in my eyes. Him, TG, and Vallejos are the elite of the elite and honestly could be interchangeable and Rewind is the best attacker of the 3.
4.) OP KNOCK – Knock isn’t too far behind the front 3 and really had an incredible rebound from a woeful FIFA 15. He now sits at 4 and Never Unlucky are truly blessed to have a CDM like Knock.
5.) EcF Alonso – Alonso has been another delight this FIFA and has almost come out of no where. He has evolved as one of the FVPAA’s better CDMs and has been Eclipse’s rock in the midfield.
6.) Paul l 5 l – Paul is the silent killer. Holds things down defensively, comes up with some crazy killer pass, gets Never Unlucky the win and goes about his day without mumbling a word. Truly a great player.
7.) Kante x 7 – Kante had a FIFA to forget in terms of the teams he was on but on every one of those teams he was a catalyst and arguably their best player. He is defensively elite and has improved his passing in a big way.
8.) Clutch l 14 l – Clutch, like Kante, is defensively elite but offensively is still developing. He has made strides forward and is making progress attacking. I expect him to be higher come next rankings.
9.) EcF Romero – Romero started off average but ended up really coming up clutch for Eclipse when needed and provided steady ground for their midfield. Him and Alonso are a good duo together.
10.) B1end x – Blend is consistent as can be but just hasn’t taken the next step yet. Once he does though, look out FVPAA, he could be extremely dangerous.
11.) Cpt Juizo – Juizo is coming off a TOTS performance, and he has been the most improved person on this list. Juizo is offensively and defensively sound and is rising up this list in a hurry.
12.) DeToX l 22 l – Detox is another new guy moving up this list fast and has quickly made a name for himself. He has played a little bit of everything in the midfield but has been extremely nice as a CDM.
13.) o2DaTruth3o – Truth took a little bit of a step back this FIFA but he is still very talented and poised for a breakout year in FIFA 17 with hopefully a full season in D1 this time.
14.) AriAS l 22 l – Arias is another Never Unlucky DM that rotates but is still a great player to be splitting time. Arias could be higher on this list with more game time.
15.) Huether 10 – Huether, like Truth, took a step back this FIFA and he is a victim to being so versatile he couldn’t gain consistency and momentum in one position. Hopefully FIFA 17 sees him rise up again because he has loads of potential.
16.) Matic 21x – Matic didn’t get to play as much as he would have liked this FIFA and if he did, he’d be a lot higher on this list. He is a definite player to watch when the new season rolls around.
17.) Barrack87 – Barrack is a newcomer who bounced around clubs a bit but has made a positive impact everywhere he has been at. He has a lot of potential to be a solid DM in this league.
18.) l Vieira l – Vieira was a late bloomer this FIFA but after an extremely impressive season at Prestige Football this season, he has a lot of momentum going into FIFA 17 and could be this list’s biggest riser by next rankings.
19.) BIRD l 28 l – Bird gets the nod at 19 and arguably should be higher but his time in D2 and playing CAM hurts his case but nevertheless he is still a sound DM who could help a lot of teams next season.
20.) Flailinhooo – Flailin rounds out this list and he didn’t play a whole lot until later on but he played extremely well for a below average team and didn’t get much help out.
Outside Mids:
1.) Omar vF – Omar once again tops an Outside mid list and for good reason. The FVPAA hasn’t seen a play maker like him from a wide position and is bound to make an impact on every game he plays.
2.) Unlucky Diggs – Diggs is back from the dead and now playing out wide has really hit his stride and become a dominant winger in the league. Diggs has a style that is unmatched by the other wingers on this list.
3.) Midget l 23 – Midget had a tough act to follow after his incredible FIFA 15 but was able to produce moments of magic throughout the FIFA that remind us of how good he truly is offensively and even defensively.
4.) EcF Griezmann – Griezmann finally was able to produce enough games played and excellent results that made me able to put him high on this list. He was vital to the Eclipse offense as most of their goals come from his side of the field.
5.) l EvO l – Where did Never Unlucky find this goldmine?! Out of thin air Evo comes in and changes the whole dynamic of Never Unlucky and is really a star in the making for the FVPAA.
6.) Franc11x – Franc may be sliding down this list and its due to his lack of interest and love of the game but don’t get it twisted, when he plays and plays with some heart, he’s easily top 3.
7.) Viva Oscar – Oscar is also a guy who took a step back but still has loads of talent in a surprisingly deep outside mid this year. He is looking to have a better season next season and prove to everyone why he is one of the best.
8.) l Batman x l – I feel bad putting someone so consistent down here at 8 but like I said, it’s a surprisingly deep talent pool for outside mids this year, or at least at the top. Batman is always going to produce good stats, and that’s a fact.
9.) MLedda – Kind of out of position here but he did play it a fair amount so I’m giving him the nod. Ledda was the engine of Artistic as it was rare when he wasn’t involved in any of their goals scored.
10.) l Isco l – Yes, I did it. Isco IS indeed on this list. Hate him or not, he had a pretty good season even though his team got relegated. 10 goals and 8 assists is nothing to scoff at. He also isn’t a bad DM either. But let’s be honest, we all hate him in our own way.
Thank you to everyone who came back to read all of these no matter how much you disagreed with them. Be sure to look for my rivalry article coming out next week! Happy FIFAing!

Almost to the end of it now and we are now at the goal scorers of the league. Strikers are the most commended for their work and also the most criticized if things go wrong. The FVPAA used to be very deep in terms of talent for strikers but now it has thinned out and only the best have survived. Here are the top 10:
1.) Draxler x10 – Draxler as a top striker? Tell me if you’ve heard that one before… Draxler once again being a dominant presence in the league and he is arguably the best player in all the FVPAA. Very deserving of the top spot.
2.) Viva Calvo – If ACL XIII wasn’t a thing, Calvo would be #1 hands down. Sadly, FC Phoenix and Clown Fiesta produced his worst season by far but he did also experience his best seasons in the prior 2 seasons.
3.) Africa aR – He talks the talk but unlike many others, he walks the walk as well. Africa may be public enemy #1, but that’s a good thing; its confirmation of his relevance.
4.) HYPE RAZOR – His style may not be ideal and different from everyone else, but holy cow it gets results. He is the striker you sometimes just can’t stop and he will always make a run. Either way, HYPE has the stats, now it just needs to lead to team success.
5.) iFarrell – Yup, Farrell is a top 5 striker again. He’s so consistent it’s actually annoying. Even in a rough season, he will still be near the top of a scoring leaderboard, and still get no love.
6.) habsguy11 – Habs started this FIFA off extremely rough but boy did he bounce back. He may be the best passer of all the strikers and has been a huge boost for Eclipse’s rise to success.
7.) Thibeault x – I feel like a broken record player when talking about Thibeault. D2 hurts his ranking. Tremendous talent though regardless.
8.) streets1014 – Still a fantastic player, but he’d be the first one to tell you that he had a FIFA to forget. He can be elite again come FIFA 17.
9.) Unlucky Dblock – Dblock, unlike Streets, had a FIFA to remember. He FINALLY got back to his old ways and became the great player we all knew and loved. But will it carryover into FIFA 17?
10.) TheNatural21 – One of the most improved players in the FVPAA and he has proven he is always a threat to score against anyone. He just needs a better supporting cast to give him some help.

Over halfway done! Now it’s time for the defenders. The amount of good defenders has increased but a lot of the top names have remained with only one big breakthrough. The defenders on this list have all earned their spot and are all great players.
1.) Aztecas vF – Aztecas is coming off of a Ballon D’Or so this choice was obvious. Aztecas has an impact on the game that is unmatched, and he arguably is as good on offense as he is defense. Aztecas has earned this #1 spot.
2.) Ramani x – Ramani comes in at #2 and he once again proves that he is one of the best defenders in the league. He is on a Viva defense that is undoubtedly the best in large part to how well Ramani plays.
3.) Unlucky Masters – Masters rolls in at #3 making a HUGE leap from our last player rankings. Masters is the mastermind behind Unlucky’s defense (Buh Dum Tss)and he is the one of the biggest reasons Unlucky broke through for a title.
4.) Pep vF – Pep took a break from FIFA but came back just as strong as ever. He is still part of the amazing Viva defense and will still be a top defender come FIFA 17.
5.) l Marsbars11 l – Mars may be the most mentally unstable person in the world but he is one hell of a defender. Mars have proven that even though he is a locker room disaster that his defending is a huge reason why teams he’s on are successful.
6.) Dont4getHarambe – Another candidate for the best GT in the VPN, he is always one of the best defenders in the FVPAA. He may not always be on the best teams around him but his talent is undeniable and his meme game is even better.
7.) ZPK v2 – ZPK may be the most silent, elite player in the FVPAA. Yes, I said ELITE. He is a class defender and he was another member of the magical Unlucky defense that won in ACL XII and first place side in ACL XIII.
8.) Fiddleton – Fiddle is the most dangerous snake in the FVPAA but he managed to slither his way into the #8 spot on this list. He was consistently high up on the Clean Sheet leaderboard and is still an amazing defender even though his return in FIFA 17 is in question.
9.) DoN l 2 l – Don sneaks up on this list and made his presence known this FIFA and has the opportunity to continue amazing performances come FIFA 17. Don played on a different team every season but was vital to every defense he played on.
10.) Gordon23 x – Once again Gordon shows up on a defender list and was apart of the incredible Serenity defense of ACL XI and ACL XII. He was apart of a defense that carried Serenity to the finals in ACL XII and was able to only allow 18 goals that season.
11.) Walker l 2 l – Walker struggled at times this FIFA but he was a lot more good than bad this FIFA and had moments of brilliance. He is streaky but overall, a top outside back and a quality CB as well.
12.) Van der Duke – Yep, he made the move to CB and has already found MAJOR success. He finally made his move over to a higher quality team and was able to shine next to Masters and ZPK. Has he even reached his ceiling yet?
13.) James l 15 l – James didn’t play as many games as he would have liked but his quality is still the same as usual. A very solid CB and he will always get the job done. James should definitely be apart of another title contending team come FIFA 17.
14.) EcF Godin – Godin was the main defender at Eclipse and he was the CB that got them through their good and bad times. Godin is a very good defender and with a little more composure, he could rise to an elite level.
15.) LoCoTrAcK5tAr – Loco is another CB who quietly does his business but does a damn good job at it. His quality took a little bit of a hit but is still a top defender nevertheless.
16.) Briggzyy – Briggs is definitely the most annoying person in the FVPAA, but if he wasn’t any good, it wouldn’t mean anything. Briggs won an unlikely AVL title and was apart of a disappointing Clown Fiesta squad but he is still a quality defender.
17.) HELIX l 7 l – HELIX, like Loco and anyone on FC Dragonz defense from ACL XI, took a little bit of a dip in skill but like the others in the defense, he is still a good defender and should rise back up again in FIFA 17.
18.) Lvl 0 arcanine – Arcanine won an impressive MVP in ACL XII and led the league in Clean Sheets that season. Then he joined FC Phoenix and was apart of that disaster but I still think he is a very good defender with a ton of talent and now a chip on his shoulder.
19.) Lee l 7 l – Lee is a very much improved defender and got Eclipse into the finals this last ACL and his improved play has made him a more respected defender. Lee is definitely on the rise come FIFA 17 and could break into the top 15 or even top 10.
20.) Logsdon l 24 l – Quietly had a very good FIFA defensively and since he has moved to outside back, more teams shifted to a 3 back formation but he also proved that he is one of the best outside backs in the league.
21.) Smalling l 12 l – Smalling didn’t have an ideal ACL XIII but he has improved very much so as a defender as is another name on the rise. He has very slowly improved, but has improved which is the good news.
22.) Unlucky Owen – Owen hasn’t gotten the play time he probably would prefer but he is another player who could be very good on a playoff team and his change to CB has been a very good one for him.
23.) Nick l 5 l – Look out everybody, he is, in my opinion, the next CB on a HUGE rise and could be a star CB for a playoff caliber team come FIFA 17. His rise has been very commendable and should only be improving.
24.) TheePastorDave – Pastor took a minor hiatus which hurt his rank but he is a very good CB with loads of potential to make a huge rise on this list if everything goes right for him on FIFA 17.
25.) FP l Alaba 27 – Alaba took a little bit of a step back and that may be due to a lack of play time on Eclipse but having a defender of his quality come off the bench is never a bad thing at all.

Part 2 of the 5 article series now turns to Teams and Utility players. The qualifications for both are specific so I will explain them before I begin. But even before all of that, there will be more defenders than the original 20 I was going with originally. It’ll go up to 25-30 depending on the quality of players.
Team – I don’t care if they were the same players under a different team name, each team will be individualized for their performances throughout FIFA 16. Example: Most Decorated and Viva Futbol will count as two separate teams.
Utility – Must have played 2 or more positions at an extended period of time and obviously prove their worth at BOTH positions, not just one.
First I will start with the teams:
1.) Viva Futbol – Viva played in 2/3 ACL tournaments this FIFA but were a force in both of them. They came away with a title in ACL XI and narrowly lost in the semifinals of ACL XII.
2.) Never Unlucky FC – When they returned in ACL XII no one thought they would be the force they are now. With winning a title in their comeback season and making it to the Semifinals this last season in ACL XIII, they deserve their high (literally) rank.
3.) Most Decorated – The psuedo-Viva team was a force to be reckoned with in ACL XIII. They only played one season under this name but won the title with it. They were certainly a dominate team and had one of the best defenses the FVPAA has ever seen.
4.) Eclipse CF – Eclipse played in seasons XII and XIII and their change was dramatic. They first qualified in 8th place and scored an upset over #1 seeded FC Phoenix en route to a semifinals appearance then ended up in the finals of ACL XIII. They are serious title contenders come FIFA 17.
5.) FC Phoenix – They experienced a roller coaster but longevity is something to commend as they were one of the few teams to play all three ACL seasons. They got as far as the semifinals and had a 1st place regular season finish.
6.) FC Dragonz – They were a one-season wonder but in ACL XI they made it all the way to the finals while finishing in 2nd place. Dragonz eventually changed to Empire Football but they left their mark and almost got a title.
7.) Revolution FC – Revolution was also only around for one season and they got to the semifinals before losing to eventual champions, Most Decorated. They were formed in ACL XIII and full of members from FC Serenity.
8.) American Outlaws – As I said for FC Phoenix, longevity is something to be proud of. AO only made playoffs once but almost upset FC Serenity and played all 3 ACL seasons.
9.) Artistic FC – They may have been poor at scheduling games on time and always having numbers on to play, but they were a quality side that played all 3 ACLs.
10.) Xplicit FC – Only played one season and finished 6th but the talent on this team was immense and was in 3rd/4th for the better part of ACL XII. They almost upset Viva in the first round and could have been amazing had they stuck together for more than one season.
Utility Players:
1.) Viva Pony – Was it really going to be anyone else? Outside mid, CB, DM, anywhere you put him, he will be one of the best players to play it. The best weapon in the FVPAA.
2.) FHz Ozil 11 – ST, Outside mid, DM, CM, he can do it all. Elite on the both ends of the field, Ozil was huge for Serenity and Revolution this FIFA and is one of the best midfielders the FVPAA has.
3.) Luka Lockup – He was the most efficient player this FIFA, and was able to his damage from ST, outside mid, and a hint of DM. He is elite defensively and his passing is among the best around.
4.) NotMikeD – He played Outside Back at the beginning of the FIFA but ended up converting to a Winger and playing some DM. He has improved well on the offensive end and was able to produce more because of it.
5.) Boateng x – Boateng is the best overall attacker on this list. He’s able to play ST, CAM, and outside mid and has done them all at some point this FIFA. His stats may not always reflect his performances but his twitch channel is the most lit stream in the FVPAA.
6.) Pulisic l 22 l – He is a man of many positions and could play everywhere on the field if he wanted to but mainly played anywhere in the midfield and even played in net and was one of the better GKs when he played it.
7.) ll Foehammer ll – Foe dabbled in DM, outside back, CB, and even GK this FIFA. His versatility was highly valued and has become a very solid GK, someone to look for in FIFA 17.
8.) young tilt lord – Another player whose versatility goes unnoticed but he is able to play Outside Mid, CB, and ST at a very high level. He also has one of the best Gamertags in the FVPAA so that helps his case.
9.) HIGHCLASS17 – Highclass had a very good FIFA even thought it went a little unmentioned. He played CDM, CB, outside back, and had an amazing season in D2 at ST. Highclass would be a good D1 pickup for any team next FIFA.
10.) Luggy x – Luggy played a plethora of positions this FIFA but was solid at all of them. He played ST, CB, CDM, and CAM. Some tough positions to move around a lot with but he managed to do well.
Also please ignore the no-so-updated image. See you guys tomorrow for the defender rankings!

Welcome to the last Player Rankings of FIFA 16 and as we transition into FIFA 17, a lot of people have left their stamp and had an excellent FIFA, while some others had a year to forget. Before we get started, the format will be a little different this time. It’ll look like this:
Monday – GK (10) Tuesday – Teams/Utility (10 & 10) Wednesday – Defenders (20) Thursday – Strikers (10) Friday – Midfielders (10 OM, 10 CAM, 15 DM)
***DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that while stats may be helpful, this isn’t a way to fully evaluate a player, so I’m using my opinion from how I’ve seen players play and how much value they bring to their team.***
Without further ado, here’s the Top 10 GK:
1,) Ikerinhoooooooo – Say what you want about his sample size of what he has played, but he has proven he is the best. He has the highest Clean Sheet rate of any GK and his skill at the position is unmatched.
2.) zUh Oh – Coming off a rough FIFA 15, zUh Oh has shined throughout this FIFA and not only improved tremendously, he also won himself a title along the way.
3.) That Bottleface – Bottle has an amazing FIFA 16 by making it to all 3 ACL Finals and won the World Cup with iFVPA USA. Bottle played well and showed his worth this FIFA.
4.) Itz Hotpants – Hotpants could very well be inside the top 3 but his defense didn’t give him any support in the last ACL which caused his own performance to suffer as well. Take nothing away from him though, he still an elite level GK.
5.) Viva Tracy – Tracy didn’t have the amount of games played that he normally does but he is still a solid GK and could be on just about any team and make them better.
6.) Walter vF – Walter easily could have been on the utility list but his performance at GK should be commended as such. He has vastly improved and could be a name to look out for in FIFA 17.
7.) FwC Kahn – Kahn hasn’t been playing in the USA much but is a well known GK throughout the Mexican League, and he played behind eventual champion, Most Decorated, this last ACL. He could easily be higher on this list with more games to see him play.
8.) Joker l 1 l – Joker once again makes this list, a consistent GK who hasn’t found his top form this FIFA, but can bounce back next FIFA. For now, he’s #8 and hoping to find his old form.
9.) CAMBALACHE11 – If he had a decent defense in front of him, he could be a lot better but at the same time, he wouldn’t have nearly the amount of action he normally does if he had a better defense. Camba is Arrechos’s lord and savior and he makes the list for very good reason.
10.) Luisinho l 17 l – Luisinho finishes off the list here for the GK’s and he may not be very well known but he has above average skill and could also be another name to look out for come FIFA 17. He could make a huge jump.

And we are back for another ACL, the last one of FIFA 16. The tides have shifted and for the first time, Never Unlucky FC will try to defend their crown. Like Leicester City in the BPL this year, they caught a lot of people off guard but they were able to pull it off. That was only one of the many highlights of ACL XI. This new ACL brings in a lot of the hope that another team can take the crown and the competition will be as tight as ever. Lots of transfers have shaken a lot of teams up and this new ACL could be the most competitive ever.
Most Decorated – An Easy Target
So let’s talk about this for a minute and you tell me if you thinks makes any sense. So yeah, this new combination of FC Serenity and Viva Futbol is now called this new arrogant name. And that’s the only word for it. What doesn’t make sense to me is that, what do you gain? This name is so arrogant that if they do not absolutely destroy the competition and win the league, they will easily be the most disappointing team of all time and would deserve all the criticism they would get. But if they win, then what? You did what you should have? You actually lived up to the absurd expectation you set for yourself? It’s a lose-lose situation, and if we are being honest, I think NO ONE would like to see them win whatsoever. The name is confusing, but hey, good luck to you. For your sake, Most Decorated, show us how good you really are. Title or bust.
Never Unlucky Saved the FVPAA… For now…
The second the final whistle blew in the ACL Final last season, Never Unlucky won but so did the rest of FVPAA. The oldest group of guys finally broke the streak of a Serenity/Viva chokehold on the title and the FVPAA.  Never Unlucky did more than win an ACL though. Unlucky was able to bring hope back to the FVPAA and made everyone in the community think that one day they can win a title as well. NUFC used a high-powered offense to get themselves a title combined with a solid defense. We have had plenty of good teams in the past that gave hope of breaking the Serenity/Viva streak, but NUFC were the first to break it, and it might be the most important thing to ever happen in FVPAA history. But, as we all know, Serenity/Viva will be back (In the form of Most Decorated) and will be looking for revenge. NUFC paved the way for teams like FC Phoenix, Eclipse CF, etc., and now more than ever, other teams need to take this opportunity to prove that they are worthy of an ACL crown. There has never been this much balance in the league, but if Most Decorated come back and win the title, you could see this end up being a false hope going into FIFA 17.
Teams to look out for this ACL:
Prestige Futbol – The CB pairing of Vendi l 5 l and Nick l 5 l could be the reason Prestige sneak up a lot of teams this season. They make a solid base for a team that doesn’t have the most offensive firepower.
Total Futbol – Elusive 2.0 with a splash a Mexican League players that should be a tough out and pose challenges to many contenders.
Revolution FC – Lots of offensive firepower but their backline is a little suspect. Thibeault x and co. look to be the first D2 team to go deep in playoffs.
Players on the Rise:
Nick l 5 l – Prestige Futbol – CB
Lee l 7 l – Eclipse CF – RB
U90 L Robben – Artistic – RB
Van der Duke – Never Unlucky FC – CB
Taco Bale – The Wall FC – ST
  Power Rankings:
1.)  Most Decorated – Wow, just wow. This roster on paper just blows you away. Arguably looks like the best one assembled in ACL history. Definitely title or bust for them but they look every bit the part. Wing play will be huge for them in how they move the ball. Hopefully with the combination of players they have already gained some chemistry.
Player to look out for: Viva Pony – Pony took a quick hiatus last season but found himself playing again in the second half in the season and now it seems like he is back permanently, but at CB again, which is a nightmare to all other teams since he regarded by many as the best CB to ever play in the community.
2.) Never Unlucky FC – The defending champs are back once again and now with a title, are still as motivated as ever and are still sharp. They won’t be able to surprise people this time around but they have made their presence felt. NUFC can easily repeat as champions, even if the roster looks slightly different than last time.
Player to look out for: Africa aR– Africa has been taking this league by storm but now every has seen him play enough to where they are starting to learn his tricks and tendencies, will he be able to adjust and shut up the doubters once again?
3.) Eclipse CF – l Marvinho l may not have merged like Viva/Serenity, but he got the best free agent available, TGxCFD15. Him along with NotMikeD and EcF Griezmann (Formerly FHz Anarchy 7) make quite the trio and have pushed Eclipse into the upper echelon of teams. They made the semifinals last season and look to be on their way to contending for the title once again this season.
Player to look out for: habsguy11 – Habs has struggled a bit these past couple seasons and Eclipse will really need him to find his old goal-scoring form if they are to accomplish title dreams. He has the talent but needs to piece it all together.
4.) FC Phoenix – Back again after an absolute nightmare in the first round of playoffs losing to #8 seeded Eclipse. Once again, their team is completely remodeled but once again tooled for a title run behind a defense led by Dirty l 6 l and reigning MVP, lvl 0 Arcanine, and a stable offense of Midget l 23, iFarrell and new signings IGI Dom l7l and Viva Oscar. Phoenix is retooled but will they suffer they same playoff fate once again or is this the season they finally breakthrough?
Player to look out for: Dirty l 6 l – Dirty will do his thing defensively, that’s no doubt. His availability is in question but if he plays all the games, he will be leading the Phoenix defense to a potential title chance again.
5.)  Clown Fiesta – This team has been through quite some roller coaster this offseason. All from managers to roster moves, to even the name of their team. Now they seem to have a solid core with Viva Calvo, streets1014, NeNe, James l 15 l, and a couple others. Clown Fiesta will need new GK, Joker l 1 l, to be quality though if thye are to make the title push.
Player to look out for: streets1014 – Streets is coming off one of his “worst” seasons last season at FC Serenity. Personally, I think he played fine and was just a scapegoat for offensive struggles at the club. Expect a rebound from him and to impose his offensive will on others.
6.) Artistic FC– Deen once again went through a lot of typical offseason drama but once again formed a different version of Artistic. This Artistic is a lot of the same from the last season’s team, but just a few people switched here and there. They picked up OP KNOCK who is arguably the best CDM in the game right now so they are really making a push for the title.
Player to look out for: Boateng x – Boateng had one of his best seasons stat-wise for FC Serenity last season and he looks to continue that momentum into this season for Artistic. Boateng will help a lackluster Artistic offense from last season.
7.) Envy – l Batman x l dipped into his Spanish roots and decided to try to build his new team around Mexican league players. He will be asking a lot of his team but they are more than capable of making it happen. It’s a high risk/high reward move but I think it can really work out well and they have an outside shot of making some serious noise.
Player to look out for: Magan l 99 l – He’s fresh off of his first title with Never Unlucky FC and he will be running CAM again with Envy. He has the ability the change games on his own and he will be vital to the Envy attack.
8.) Revolution FC – Welcome back to D1 again, Thibeault x. He once again made another overpowered D2 team and ran through the competition en route to promotion. Revolution have a high-powered offense but lack the defensive sturdiness to make a title push. On any given day they can beat anyone but I think they are still a piece or two away from being serious contenders.
Player to look out for: TheNatural21– The MVP candidate of last year made a name for himself and proved a lot of doubters wrong. Now he will combine his skill with Thibeault to create an electric attack. He will need to create this time though instead of finish.
9.) Total Futbol– Total Futbol is basically the remake of the former surprise team that was Elusive. Their offense doesn’t look as good but their defense looks a lot more solid this time around. Although, last time I made a prediction on them, they blew me out of the water…
Player to look out for: Fiddleton – Fiddleton comes off of his first appearance in the ACL Finals and made his way around a couple teams before settling in at Total Futbol. His defense will be the reason this team succeeds or fails.
10.) The Wall FC – I actually really like what Havens l 6 l did recruiting this team. l TerryGod l is a big pick-up on defense, and Trivela7 x looks like a promising attacker. Jackson x8 and Taco Bale will also help the offense tremendously. The Wall could make playoffs if they play to what they are capable of, but I could also see them missing out due to a huge drop off. This team is up in the air.
Player to look out for: Jackson x8 – Jackson once again leads a mid-table team attack. He hasn’t been bad in any means, but he needs to take the next step and prove himself to be a striker that can beat top teams.
11.) American Outlaws – AO once again come into ACL looking average, or just above it. Specia1 B1end and Huether 10 were huge pick-ups for the midfield but I don’t think the defense is enough to support the offensive potential this team has. Their GK will also be an issue for them. AO could miss playoffs for a second straight season.
Player to look out for: Huether 10 – Huether has always been known as a solid midfielder but he will have to take his game to new heights if he is to lead AO into playoffs. He will have to create plays on offense and create a lot of defensive pressure. He has the ability to be a great player for this team.
12.) Prestige Futbol – Prestige is a tricky team to judge. Defensively, I love the CB partnership of Vendi l 5 l and Nick l 5 l and LuisMfc14 is a solid GK. On offense, they picked up Forevershiek, eXo Neymar, and a DM, they have l Viera l, who I think has some serious potential. This team has the pieces to surprise a lot of teams and if my darkhorse to make playoffs.
Player to look out for: Henriques l 3 l – The manager and now CDM has really built a solid team but he will need to lead the charge and play well himself to make everyone better. His play will dictate how Prestige does this season.
13.) Arrechos SC – Arrechos are back after a heartbreaking season of nearly missing playoffs. Their cinderella-like run was still something to be proud of though. This season they are basically the same team looking to make the same type of run. They can do it if their defense plays well this season.
Player to look out for: cesitarae – Well he won’t be surprising many teams this season after scoring over 20 goals last season. He will need to replicate another strong season and score consistently if Arrechos are to make a run.
14.) True Football– True Football once again try their hand and hope to make playoffs. Last season they had a tremendous start then cooled off and finished mid-table. They are still a couple pieces away defensively for me to take them as a playoff threat but you never know with them.
Player to look out for: Avid Notes – Assuming he is the starting GK, his defense won’t give him the best help so will have to be sharp and help keep his team in games when needed.
15.) Caliber CF – Caliber made it through to D1 via the promotion tournament and the have a chance to give some teams a few scares. I don’t expect a whole lot from this team but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them fit somewhere in mid-table when it’s all said and done.
Player to look out for: AxN Sosa – The CB is going to be crucial for a relatively weak defensive team in Caliber. HE has experience and has played well in the past but I don’t know if he has the ability to carry the rest of his defense.
16.) FifaManiacs – This team isn’t that bad on paper, and they have the ability to play with some better teams on any given day, but I don’t see them making a whole lot of noise. They could potentially finish mid-table but I think that would be their ceiling.
Player to look out for: HIGHCLASS17 – Personally, I rate him very highly. I think he is a very solid player at multiple positions. He alone can help them gain points and he will be the leader of this squad.
17.) Redemption FC – Another team that made it through the promotion tournament, but I think they will get demoted just as quickly as they got promoted. Not enough defense or offense to convince me they are D1 material.
Player to look out for: iLibero – He helped lead Artistic to being one of the best defensive teams last season, and now he’s on this team? What happened??
18.) Notorious FC– Congratulations, Notorious FC, for getting promoted into D1. Please enjoy your stay as I think it won’t last very long.
Player to look out for: Killersquirelz – Forget how well he plays in FIFA, the GT alone makes him a player to watch. Definitely a Top 5 GT in the VPN.
Predictions:
MVP – Draxler x10
Golden Boot – Thibeault x
Assist Leader – Magan l 99 l
Clean Sheet Leader (DEF): Ramani x
Clean Sheet Leader (GK): FwC Kahn
Finals: Eclipse CF (3 seed) vs Most Decorated (1 seed)
Enjoy the last ACL of FIFA 16 everyone and player rankings are almost done! Releasing them all at once this time!

Week 1 has come to a close and for the most part, teams are right where you expect them to be (I’m not counting Houston Dynamo). Overall I think some people are just now realizing that a balanced league means that you will struggle more than usual. The teams aren’t bad, it’s just that the teams you play against are a lot better than normal and the competition is tougher. The draft has done exactly what it was supposed to do. I think that has benefited the league so far. Anyway, here are the late Power Rankings for Week 2 of AVL:
  American Conference:
1.) DC United – DC has come out of the gates swinging and haven’t looked back since they started well. They have had a good enough offense thus far and the defense has really stepped up for them and after the first week they are still undefeated. The offense will be the reason why this team rises or falls. Previous Week: 3
2.) Sporting KC – Viva Oscar has done an excellent job thus far at making every player work in their system. The brightest spots for KC at the moment are the players no one has heard about. (With the exception of Ramani x) The defense has been solid and the offense has held a steady pace so far. This team has a lot of promise for the top spot. Previous Week: 2
3.) Miami FC – Miami is also undefeated out of the gates but that includes 4 draws that all easily could have resulted in wins. Either way, Miami is still in good form for AVL. Ikerinhoooooooo has been coming up big in net and on the field. Miami will have some tough games ahead but they seem like they will be a real contender but the end of it all.  Previous Week: 5
4.) SJ Earthquakes – The Earthquakes are quietly having a good start and are surprising some people. They play a tough style of team defending while doing just enough offensively. Unlucky Dblock has kept up his fine form into this AVL and has helped SJ off to a good start. With a good week this week, they can stick around towards the top and be a tough opponent for most teams. Previous Week: 9
5.) New York City – NYC honestly has had a pretty start. They haven’t quite earned all the points they should have gotten but overall are playing quality soccer. Their defense has been absolutely lights out but if the offense starts getting things going, this team will take off. Watch out for them moving up this week. Previous Week: 8
6.) Atlanta United – Atlanta overall has been an alright team. They had a big win against Sporting KC and finished the week at 3-1-2. Aztecas l 8 l has made a smooth transition from CB to CAM/ST and Joker l 1 l has stepped up at CB when needed. The veteran experience from this squad has showed and when the new guys start filling out their potential, Atlanta could be a scary team to play. Previous Week: 6
7.) Minnesota United – Minnesota isn’t a bad team, I jsut don’t think they are all that special either. They’ll be decent enough to get a couple of good wins but their consistency between results might be where they fall. Emmy could turn this into a solid squad if they can finish off games and they could definitely have an outside shot at playoffs. Previous Week: 12
8.) FC Dallas – Looks like their “Cross and Pray” strategy isn’t quite working out the way they wanted. They may be having the most fun this AVL, but the results still aren’t going their way. Fatal Enjoyment has been a pleasant D2 surprise with 3 assists already on the young season, but for the talent this team has, the results need to show it more or they could be in trouble. Previous Week: 4
9.) LA Galaxy – Their offense has been the reason why they have won or lost games this season. If they have scored more than 1 goal, they’ve won, anything less, they’ve lost. If they can clean up mistakes in the back and score consistently, they can easily rise up. Previous Week: 11
10.) Philadelphia Union – LoCoTrAcK5tAr has built a team from the defense up and so far he hasn’t let in goals. Unfortunately, the offensive concerns I had for this team in Pre-Season have become reality and they are one of many teams struggling to find the back of the net. Previous Week: 10
11.) Los Angeles FC – They only scored 3 goals in 6 games. I honestly wish that was a joke… The offense has to do more if LA even want to sniff playoff contention, if they don’t, they’ll just be an utter embarrassment. Previous Week: 7
11.) Houston Dynamo – I really regret trying to be bold last week. Hot garbage and DiLo has his squad off to a miserable start and have the worst defense in the conference. They have to switch things up fast if they are to even get back into playoff contention. Previous Week: 1
  National:
1.) Chicago Fire – Well it looks like Air Japes has come back from his ACL ousting controversy with a vengeance. Him and l Marvinho l alone have 7 goals and 4 assists. That’s better than most teams a week into the season… Chicago easily look like the most complete team thus far and have been clinical in every facet of the game. Previous Week: 2
2.) NE Revolution – The Revolution have come out of the gates flying and they have had a wonderful start. Bauer l 43 l and Midget l 23 have been a synamic duo on offense and defensively they have been solid up to this point. Overall, the Revolution could have had a couple results go a different way but their first week is something they should be happy about. Previous Week: 7
3.) Columbus Crew – The crew have easily been the surprise of the season thus far and have proved me wrong in a big way. It is still early in the season and things can change drastically but they are still playing very well at the moment. Their defense will need to step up if they are to still look like a legitimate contender but at the moment, they will take this start every time. Previous Week: 11
4.) Real Salt Lake – RSL started off the season extremely flat and looked lost almost but finished off the week with 3 impressive wins and seemingly pulled things together. Their momentum going into week 2 could be vital points in a short season. The offense should be able to pull things together and if they do, RSL could be a legitimate threat coming out of this conference. Previous Week: 3
5.) Montreal Impact – On paper they still look like the best squad and at times have shown the talent they possess; but of course they have also had points where they look like they have never played the game before. Montreal has all the talent and pieces to put things together, it just seems like they have lacked focus during vital parts of the game and it has costs them a lot of points already.  Previous Week: 1
6.) Vancouver – Jimmy currently has this squad in alright spot for  having his second round draft pick play only 2 games so far. The defense has actually been immense so far, the offense has some work to do though and Jimmy hopes that with Cherry I 10 I back, his offense will start putting in the goals they need to gather some crucial points here in week 2. Previous Week: 6
7.) Seattle Sounders – Sounders out the gate have actually been pretty good. Nothing special, but for AVL and especially this season where the talent is more spread than ever, they have been pretty good. They have also done all of this without Viva Ideen, which is huge. They could either take off or decline drastically depending on how he plays. Previous Week: 8
8.) Colorado Rapids – Colorado has been really impressive on the defensive side of the ball but the offense has yet to show up. 4 goals in 6 games will never get you good results. Once this team learns how to score and play with each other on the offense, look out. Previous Week: 5
9.) Portland Timbers – Portland certainly hasn’t been as bad as I thought they would be, but they still aren’t great either. Shady J23J has been a beast so far facilitating the ball but their defense has been letting them down a bit. Maybe a formation change or just overall better play can see them take a step closer to where they want to be. Previous Week: 12
10.) Orlando City – Viva Suarez has come out of this season flat like the rest of this team. If he can get himself and other guys going, they can make a run but in the form they’re in, it looks unlikely unless they turn things around quickly. Big egos could be a reason why this team hasn’t had success yet seeing as they gave the Red Bulls their only win so far. Previous Week: 4
11.) Toronto FC – Toronto has been a little disappointing so far but I’m actually pretty optimistic about them. Most of their ties/losses they haven’t played too poorly and they will be getting Rewind l 7 l back soon. Look for them make a steady rise up the table. They can realistically make a run still. Previous Week: 9
12.) NY Red Bulls – Well…. At least they are trying, right? Previous Week: 10

WOW! What an amazing couple months for FVPAA! New champions in ACL in Never Unlucky FC, a growth in the community once again, and now a snake draft was introduced in AVL for the first time. AVL will be much more different than normal and personally, I think it was for the better and now it’s time to prove that.
  American Conference:
1.) Houston Dynamo – This is a little bold, but on paper, their roster is extremely well balanced and can be the best in their conference with the right ability. The Dynamo are led by manager DiLo l 19 l who is coming off of his best AVL performance yet and looks to keep things going in the right direction. streets1014 and FwC Zombie will be the leading force in the attack but one problem I could foresee would be goals against. The defense is solid but they will have to be special if Dynamo are to win it all.
2.) Sporting KC – Viva Oscar had the first pick in the draft and I think he was able to do well with it even though the first pick may be the hardest to deal with. He drafted elite defender Ramani x and then he really went after offense by picking up x0 Re1uK Xx at striker and Max Munozz to run CAM. The best part of his team is the midfield though with l sT l Prime, Flailinhoo, and Cpt Juizo. His midfield could be the most dominate in all of AVL.
3.) DC United – BigBad’s own WhiteGravy757 takes his crack at managing AVL again and has put himself in a good spot to have unlimited success. For offense he convinced GoodburgermanO to start playing again, and he picked up midfielder Janye l West to control the tempo. Gravy’s team will be anchored by GK That Bottleface and if they make his days easy in the back, they should be able to finish near the top of the table with ease.
4.) FC Dallas – They have already come out and said they will be a crossing team and who better to get for that than Thibeault x? Their manager, Havens l 6 l, is one of those managers who does crazy, odd things that make him unpredictable so this comes as no surprise. The only problem I can see with this team in the long run is their defense which looks a little suspect but their power in the midfield could see them through to the top led by Clutch l 14 l and Barrack87.
5.) Miami FC – This was the hardest team to place because if all goes well, they could easily be at the top, but if it doesn’t go well, they could fall fast. I think Do iT Like Chky did a great job in the draft by picking up Draxler x10, Ikerinhooooooo, and FP l Alaba 27, but their Mexican league players (Xavi ll 8 ll and Magan l 21 l) will be the reason why this team does good or bad. They are the ultimate wild card in this conference.
6.) Atlanta United – Atlanta is a bit of a head-scratcher because this team could be extremely talented but the positions of their players are up in the air. Jeeremy x was able to pick up Aztecas l 8 l, James l 15 l, Joker l 1 l and HIGHCLASS17. They have the pieces to be successful and really challenge for a top spot, but what positions will all these players be playing? Jeeremy better figure out a good, consistent line-up.
7.) Los Angeles FC – iLibero takes a crack at managing this time around and he honestly didn’t draft a bad team. His offense consists of IGI Dom l7l, Viva Reyes, Jackson x8, and Excel Dybala which is elite. But their defense looks extremely shaky and will be a huge key to this team’s record. CAMALACHE11 will be a solid GK, but there is only so much a GK can do if the defense in front of them allows too many chances.
8.) New York City – Unlucky Diggs reps his hometown in AVL this season and brought along a few of his ACL teammates with him. Unlucky Masters and l EvO l come with him and Cannavaro l 5 l and Van der Duke will be joining them. They look like they are going to play a 3-back formation and that is extremely risky in AVL. The rewards of it could outweigh the risks though, and they can sneak up on some people.
9.) SJ Earthquakes – Earthquakes overall aren’t bad, they just aren’t that good either. They aren’t elite in any position, but solid all around. I think the lack of a game-changing player could be rise or fall of this team. Unlucky Dblock will be the main component of the offense and Tripc0unt will be leading the charge in the back. Everest l 42 l and co. have their work cut out for them.
10.) Philadelphia Union – LoCoTrAcK5tAr might have had the worst draft of anyone out there. His team lacks offense talent, and the midfield will be sliced open pretty easily. They aren’t the worst team, but I just don’t see anything special coming from them but Unlucky Dustin could prove me wrong and make the offense click.
11.) LA Galaxy – This team will get it done defensively, that’s not the issue. The problems will happen when they struggle to score. Offense has been the success in AVL as seasons in the past have showed. If they can find some goals early in games, they could be solid.
11.) Minnesota FC – A lot of people are giving hate on Emmy l 11 l for the way he drafted, but I actually don’t think they are all that bad. I could see them having some success with all the Mexican league chemistry or I could easily see them faltering and not being nearly talented enough. Roux l 9 l will need to carry the offense and score at least 12 goals this season for them to even compete.
  National:
1.) Montreal Impact – Fiddleton to me had easily the best draft out of any other team and on paper, they are the team to beat. FHz Vallejos, lMattheww, and DTGxSNUBNOZE will be absolutely lethal in the midfield, and TheNatural21 and HYPE RAZOR will be scoring in bunches up top. The annoying pest Vahllstrom will be in net to lock things down and overall, they would even be a competitive ACL team.
2.) Chicago Fire – Air Japes still looks like he can field great teams, even without his side-kick TGxCFD15. The Fire will be one tough midfield to get through led by OP KNOCK, l Marvinho l, and l Isco l. The defense will be led by l TerryGod l but he doesn’t have the best support around him. I could see them being the highest scoring team, but have minor issues defensively. Regardless, still a top side on paper.
3.) Real Salt Lake – In case anybody was wondering, this team will not speak English, that’s guaranteed. They are full of Mexican league players but still full of tons of talent and many members of the iFVPA Mexico squad. FwC Chucho picked wisely but they will be tested by the USA talent that outmatched and embarrassed them in the Copa America Final. This could be the team that redeems them.
4.) Orlando City – Currently taking bets on who plays on eXo Neymar’s account this AVL. The favorite seems to be Viva Pony. Either way, Viva Suarez returns to manage and has picked a decent team. Live Easily and Vallejo x will be good ball winners, l Marsbars11 l will lead the defense, and Messi sk will help “eXo Neymar” *wink* in the offense. Overall, solid squad.
5.) Colorado Rapids – Offensively, Africa aR really did well, but that defense is very suspect. Paul l 5 l will be able to help out in the midfield on offense and defense, and Zephy l 7 l  will be a nice compliment to the defense and be able to cut out passes in front of them. The offense looks like it will need to be in high gear all season.
6.) Vancouver – AVL specialist Jimmy l 99 l leads Vancouver into the season with high hopes. He started in midfield with Franc11x and Cherry I 10 I, and picked up Owen l 10 l and Criminal Vidic to man the defense. xRav l10l and Huether 10 will be really good pieces in the midfield and this team looks like they have a lot of promise if they can score consistently. The are my Darkhorse to finish near the top.
7.) NE Revolution – FC Phoenix, I mean Revolution come into AVL led by D2 champion Bauer l 43 l and honestly have a decent squad. Led by Midget l 23 and Matic 21x in the midfield, and Itz Hotpants at GK, they could prove to be a tough out to most teams. Scoring could be the issue for them but they aren’t elite there or have enough parts on defense to really test the tough teams. Mid-table is the most likely finish for them.
8.) Seattle Sounders – Air Ronaldo comes back to AVL looking to avenge a loss in the Final to Arsenal last season. He brings Mledda and Viva Ideen with him on offense, and Oh My GADO x will be there to play some tough D. They will be able to score, but their GK is a little questionable. If they can keep opponents off the scoreboard, they should be in good shape.
9.) Toronto FC – Birgerk1ng is back to caring about FIFA and that’s not good for other teams. He picked up ACL MVP lvl 0 arcanine for defense and got habsguy11 to lead the charge offensively. He also picked up Rewind l 7 l in the midfield but he will be out for most of the season but should return late on. If they can hold a good spot in the table until he comes back, they will be in a strong position.
10.) NY Red Bulls – No habla ingles…. xTBx Natsu makes a return to management after a hiatus and decided to pick up fellow hispanics this time around. If all of them can play to their full potential, they could be a darkhorse and certainly make a run near the top.
11.) Columbus Crew – Zlexe decided to pick up Empire midfielders Ronaldonho xl0 (Banter) and FHz Anarchy and then I’m pretty sure he gave up. Good luck Columbus.
12.) Portland Timbers – I’m so sorry o2DaTruth3o and DoN l 2 l…
    DRAFT STATS:
Viva Futbol had the most players picked in the first round.
GKs were picked in 2 MASSIVE spurts.
CAM was the most sought after position.
CAM is also the position where most teams will have a player out of position.
Cpt Juizo at round 9 was the biggest steal of the draft. (Sporting KC)
xxKRONERxx was the biggest reach. (Timbers)
WAY-TOO-EARLY-FINAL Prediction:
Sporting KC 2-3 Montreal Impact
Overall, what we saw was a successful draft that massively spread out the talent and this should be the most competitive AVL ever. I guarantee my predictions will be wrong in a countless number of ways.

The Copa America finally comes to and end with a big rivalry as the Final. It’s USA vs Mexico, and it is a rematch of their match-up in the group stages. This rivalry has had it’s twists and turns but in this final, all best are off.
How They Got Here:
Let’s start with Mexico. They haven’t lost a single game yet, and they have won and tied against the same USA they are about to play. Mexico won the group with 5 wins and 1 tie. Then they moved one to beat Chile on a 4-1 aggregate in the Quarterfinals, then best Honduras 3-1 on aggregate. Their defense has been elite this tournament and second to none. USA on the other hand finished with 3 wins, 2 ties, and 1 loss. in the group stage, then moved on slip by Canada in Golden Goal 2-1. In the semifinals, then they beat a persistent Peru 3-0. Their road to the finals has been tougher and they have earned their place in the finals.
Keys to the Game:
For Mexico, they need to score early. Their defense can hold things down but their offense needs to get on the board quickly. A comfortable, and free flowing USA is extremely dangerous. Mexico also will need to capitalize on every opportunity they can, as there may not be a whole lot of offense for either side if the defenses keep playing as well as they are.
USA on the other hand, will need to play team defense and shut down Mexico’s dangerous midfield, especially in the early-going. I’d be more confident in Mexico coming back from a goal or two down than I would be for USA. The offense for USA needs to create chances, a lot more than what they did against Mexico in the group stages. USA can punish opponents with clinical passing, and that passing needs to result in goals.
Players to Watch:
Mexico – Viva Pep – CB: As a player that plays in the FVPAA, he knows the USA roster extremely well and even plays on a team with a couple of them. Him knowing player’s tendencies and knowing how the team wants to play gives him a big advantage and his defense alone can carry a backline.
USA – That Bottleface – GK: Bottle just suffered a loss for his club in a Final but now looks to bounce back for his country and lead them to victory. He may not have the most action but when his team needs him, he will need to step up to the occasion and be what many people describe him as, The Best GK in the FVPAA.”
Prediction:
As much as I’d like to pick Mexico, my gut is telling me that USA rebounds nicely and squeaks out a win 3-2. I think the midfield for both teams make the game a back and forth battle but the USA offense proves too much and USA finally lives up to expectations.
Check out the game here:

Wow, what an ending to a wonderful season. The reign of Viva Futbol and FC Serenity is in danger, and 1st place came down to the very final game. FC Phoenix comes away with its first regular season 1st place campaign but that was one of the many story-lines on the season that made this season, I think, the best and most competitive in ACL history.
Will someone finally end the Viva/Serenity dynasty?
If there was a season to do, this is it. If Viva Futbol or FC Serenity wins it this season, it would be really demoralizing for a lot of members of the community; it would almost be bad for the community. Last season, FC Dragonz gave the community hope by beating Serenity in the semifinals but then going on to lose 7-0 to Viva in the final. This season, the playoffs will be more competitive than ever. FC Phoenix and Never Unlucky FC go in at the #1 and #2 seed and for the first time since Viva and Serenity have been in ACL together, neither of them are in the top 2, or even winning the regular season crown for that matter. Viva and Serenity now have extremely tough match-ups in the first round now, and they could be in serious danger of not even making the semis. While Phoenix and Never Unlucky are the favorites to end the dynasty but Artistic and Xplicit FC could upset these giants too. Eclipse CF and Empire Football may have a slimmer chance than the others, but it’s not out of the realm to say that it could happen, and Eclipse are easily the best 8-seed to be in playoffs. This may be the first time in ACL history that there is a realistic shot at all 8 ACL teams winning the title. For FVPAA’s sake, someone end this dynasty. Make FIFA fun again.
Not One, but Two EPIC comebacks
Artisitc and Empire Football both looked done and dusted in the first half of the season. If you want to go back even further, they both were fighting for relegation 2 weeks in almost 3 even. Slowly but surely, they both rose back into playoff contention and now both will be fighting for an ACL title in the playoffs. But I think the most interesting thing about these comebacks is that it happened in vastly different ways. Artistic ended up in 5th and used team defense to rally the troops. While they overall struggled on offense throughout the season, if they went up 1-0, it was almost like a chokehold. Hell, they beat FC Phoenix twice while only letting them have 5 shots between the two game. Empire on the other hand used the transfer window to offload key pieces and bring in players that wanted to be apart of a team. They eventually brought in lower talent but enough to where they could use an offensive surge into 7th place. They are one of the hottest teams going into playoffs now. Both of these teams really made incredible strides to make it into playoffs and both comebacks were impressive in their own way.

ACL Awards:
Most Valuable Player: lvl 0 arcanine
Wow, what a story this is. This may be controversial, but I, among others, truly think lvl 0 Arcanine have earned this award. He was the biggest reason why Artistic was so great defensively and that Artistic was able to rise to 5th place out of a dismal start. Arcanine has been through numerous CB partners this season and he has been able to withstand all offensive efforts by opponents. Arcanine has been one constant on a team, a league even more so, full of inconsistency. His play elevated teammates around him and he stepped up when he needed to. Congrats to lvl 0 arcanine and the rest of the MVP Finalists on tremendous seasons.

With playoffs right around the corner, every team will have to fight for their position. Some for relegation, some for a good playoff seed, and others for playoffs in general. This is possibly the tightest race down the stretch we have seen in a while and this final week will be absolute chaos!!
1.) Viva Futbol – Viva struggled last week but still control their own destiny heading into the final week. Headlined by a tightly contested 1-0 loss to FC Phoenix that felt like a playoff game, Viva found it to be tough sledding with a shock loss to giant killers American Outlaws 2-0. Even with those two losses, they are in 2nd place behind Serenity by a single point but with a game in hand. Their final game against the defensive Artistic could decide a lot of seeds for playoffs with Viva almost guaranteed a top 3 finish.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 1
2.) FC Phoenix – Phoenix are still in it for the long haul and a #1 seed is within their grasp. Last week they pulled out tough wins against Viva and Never Unlucky but also stumbled against American Outlaws 2-0. Phoenix sit in 5th place at the moment but if they were to have their make-up games played and presumably win them, they would be tied with 1st place Serenity on points. Phoenix went 5-1-0 to start the season and with the same slate of games this week, that same success could win them a #1 seed. Their last game against rival Empire Football will more than likely be their deciding game. PREVIOUS WEEK: 2
3.) FC Serenity –Serenity have really been hot down the stretch and have made this race as tight as they can. They are 10-1-1 in their last 12 games and that includes a current 8-game winning streak. Easily the hottest team in the league right now and proved it with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Never Unlucky which is up for game of the season so far.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 4
4.) Never Unlucky FC – Never Unlucky suffered a couple tough losses last week but are still in good shape and they still lead the league in Goal Differential. NUFC have had a lot of that come from the outstanding play of MVP Candidate, Africa aR. He has supplied 15 goals and added 13 assists. That’s amazing for his first time in D1 competition. He will be crucial for NUFC to finish strong and carry over his success into playoffs.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 3
5.) Xplicit FC – Xplicit right now sit in third and have an outside shot to finish in 1st place but barring an epic collapse they will realistically finish outside the top 3. Excel Dybala has had a good season so far with 16 goals and 7 assists to lead the offense, but the defense will be the reason why this team has success in playoffs or not.   PREVIOUS WEEK: 5
6.) Eclipse CF – Eclipse right now can be dream killers for Serenity and Phoenix and those games could have playoff implications with them sitting at 6th right now. Their defense has been better than expected but their offense has been a little underwhelming. Eclipse have been an above average side and will make playoffs but the seed of their spot will be important. PREVIOUS WEEK: 6
7.) Artistic – I jinxed Artistic last week and I apologize for that. They got smacked 5-0 by Serenity and then lost 2-1 to NUFC. Their offense is still being carried by their defense and that could save them a bit in playoffs if they make it there. They control their own destiny, but their offense needs at least one good week to get them there. PREVIOUS WEEK: 7
8.) Empire Football– Empire have finally put themselves in playoff position but they got Viva and Phoenix this week to make their life difficult. Arrechos will be right on their tail the whole way to try to take their playoff spot. A couple of big wins this week could see them complete their comeback and have one of the best 2nd half comebacks this league has seen. PREVIOUS WEEK: 9
9.) Arrechos SC – Arrechos flip-flopped with Empire this week and now they need to find something deep within them to will themselves into a playoff spot once again. Arrechos, regardless of what happens, have had an incredibly good season, outperforming a lot of low expectations. Playoffs to them would just be extra. PREVIOUS WEEK: 8
10.) American Outlaws – AO are still sitting just outside of the playoffs but were able to pull off HUGE 2-0 wins against Viva and Phoenix. They are going to have to have a lot of good fortune and good play to get into playoffs. Although it looks like it won’t happen, you never know. This last week will need an almost perfect performance. PREVIOUS WEEK: 10
11.) True Football –This is where all the eliminated from playoffs teams start but True Football will have the benefit knowing that they will finish much higher than any team also from D2. A mid-table finish for them is a good result. True Football should be proud of their play and look forward to another season in D1. PREVIOUS WEEK: 12
12.) DEMOLITION FC– Demo once again disappoint this season but to make matters worse, they will actually have to fight to stay in D1. They can control their fate but they will need to win a couple games. More than likely, they should be able to survive. PREVIOUS WEEK: 11
13.) Quality Futbol – The only thing they have going for them is that they have TheNatural12 scoring 21 goals this season. Besides that, they have been extremely sub-par since their scandal of their goalie. Either way, their only concern is to stay in D1 and start over again. They were successful in this week of matches last time, but that was a different Quality.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 13
14.) InFinite Sports – InFinite are still fighting for their D1 spot but they were in this exact same spot last season so their experience in must need wins could come in handy. A loss in iFVPA for these Colombians could be lingering in their heads too going into the final week. InFinite will need to be clutch this week if they want to avoid D2. PREVIOUS WEEK: 13
15.) Babooshka FC – Babooshka also are fighting to stay in D1 and are included in the slew of lackluster D2 teams to get promoted into D1 last season. If it makes them feel better, they aren’t the worst D2 team from last season.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 17
16.) JoGa FC –  JoGa are willing their way out of the relegation zone and can sneak their way back into mid-table with a good week. JoGa John could even lead the league in assists when it’s all said and done. He currently sits at 11.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 16
17.) Regulators –They are going back to D2 as quickly as they got into D1. Overall, they were disappointing for being a D2 Champion and are the worst D1 has seen yet. Last place is up for grabs, if that helps them get through the week. PREVIOUS WEEK: 17
18.) Bohemian Grove – SOMEONE PLEASE GET THEM TO 100 GOALS AGAINST! PLEASE!  PREVIOUS WEEK: 17

I know, I’m a terrible person for skipping last week’s Power Rankings, and for that I do apologize for the lack of consistency. Either way, there hasn’t been a ton of movement but there have been plenty of surprising results as the push for playoffs begin! This is where we find out who is a contender and who is a pretender.
1.) Viva Futbol – Viva are getting close to another regular season crown but the other teams won’t quite let them separate just yet. Right now they currently have a 5 point lead and are trying to stretch the lead as much as possible, even though they haven’t been at their best recently. Regardless, Viva Calvo has actually been putting up better stats and is currently leading the Golden Boot race and Franc11x has been providing amazing service on the wing with 11 assists so far.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 1
2.) FC Phoenix – Phoenix are staying in it, but haven’t looked good doing it. They once again lost to Artistic and drew Serenity 1-1 in an ugly played game. iFarrell has been absolutely dominant though as he leads the league in assists and is only 4 goals off the mark from Golden Boot as well as he sits with 17 at the moment. Phoenix hasn’t had a consistent defensive line-up and it has started to show a bit but right now they are still in great shape to make a push for the #1 seed and a potential 1st place game against Viva on Thursday night. PREVIOUS WEEK: 2
3.) Never Unlucky FC –Never Unlucky has seen their lead come and go but they are still hanging around while only being 7 points behind. They still lead the league in scoring and have seemed to have raised their level defensively. Overall, they are going to be in playoffs and give any team trouble. Just a matter of how they finish. These old guys need to stretch because this race to the finish in going to be tight! PREVIOUS WEEK: 4
4.) FC Serenity – Serenity are still rising up the table and have now reached to tie Phoenix with 2nd place (Phoenix has a game in hand). Serenity still seem like they can’t score when it matters but their minor blip they had defensively has gone away and now they are looking at a realistic shot at the #1 seed after a brutal start to the season. Their midfield alone can carry them as far as they want.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 5
5.) Xplicit FC – Xplicit recovered well from a poor week and now see themselves in a promising position. If Xplicit can keep their momentum going and hit their stride with playoffs coming up soon, they can be one of the more dangerous teams to play and knock off someone in the first round.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 8
6.) Eclipse CF – Eclipse have improved majorly since I last wrote about them but now have hit a groove where they are a bit stagnant with their position. They are riding 5th place but are easily susceptible to rising or falling a few spots. As for now, they are quietly making a run and could really finish anywhere in the top 8.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 11
7.) Artistic – Deen has finally pulled this squad together and they are making a HUGE run here the past couple of weeks. They are currently tied for 6th but their defense led by lvl 0 arcanine has been absolutely brutal. They have only given up 17 goals which is the best in the league in that category and the offense has come around but still needs a bit more. This is a team I’d hate to play right now. PREVIOUS WEEK: 10
8.) Arrechos SC– What Arrechos are doing right now is absurd. They shouldn’t be in D1 but here they are still hanging around and in playoff position. cesitarae has come out of no where and currently put in 21 goals and only 1 behind Viva Calvo for the lead! not only that, their defense has only given up 24 goals as well. This team is over-achieved and could be a Cinderella story in the making. PREVIOUS WEEK: 9
9.) Empire Football – Speaking of Cinderella runs, Empire has fought mightily out of the depths of relegation to just missing out of playoffs at the moment, but right now, they are the hottest team in the league. This isn’t unexpected to see them here seeing how I predicted them to finish fourth, but whatever they did at the trade deadline worked and they are slowly making it back into contention. PREVIOUS WEEK: 14
10.) American Outlaws – AO are currently on the outside looking in but can still make a push and get back to their typical low playoff seed. The offense needs to start gelling in the final third and the defense needs to start locking it down. And before I could even finish, Matic 21x got another red card. PREVIOUS WEEK: 8
11.) DEMOLITION FC –Demolition are the perfect mid-table team. They will show you moments of brilliance, they moments of utter failure but they are unpredictable. They look unlikely to make playoffs but are still no easy team to beat. Just a shame because this team has so much promise but just can’t figure it out. PREVIOUS WEEK: 11
12.) True Football – True Football are still hanging around 12 and it looks their their strong start was only just a tease as they will probably hang out around this position and look forward to next season. For now, they just need to keep getting decent results and relegation will be no issue for them. PREVIOUS WEEK: 12
13.) Quality Futbol – Remember when they were in 3rd place and fighting for first place? Yeah, that was the definition of too good to be true. Not only have they been losing all of their regularly scheduled games, they are losing the rematches of all the make-up games they have to play due to their ineligible player. This ruling of the ineligible has hit them hard and now it has gotten so bad that they could be looking at relegation if they keep falling as rapidly as they are. PREVIOUS WEEK: 3
14.) InFinite Sports – InFinite have some games to make-up so their position isn’t as bad as it seems but they need some good results from those reschedules or they will be be in major trouble and will have to stave off the relegation zone. The more they hang around the bottom, the more pressure they will have on getting good results. PREVIOUS WEEK: 13
15.) Babooshka FC – NKG HD is currently putting the squad on his back and taking them out of relegation. Sooner or later, someone else will have to step up and help him but for now, they’ll take what they can get.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 17
16.) JoGa FC –  JoGa are the last team in the relegation zone and still can’t find the right formula. JoGa John has been a pleasent surprise with 7 assists so far but they are really struggling to grab points right now. PREVIOUS WEEK: 16
17.) Regulators –Regulators are still losing and have yet to find their stride. While the might not be in last place anymore, they are still likely to be relegated to D2. They are still the most disappointing team to be a D2 Champion last season. PREVIOUS WEEK: 18
18.) Bohemian Grove – You know, for a team that’s losing, they actually got better! Bumbadawg retired! That means that they might not give up 100 goals this season, which for me is sad, because I really thought they could do at least one thing right this season.  PREVIOUS WEEK: 15
