anyway. shout out to the fully grown man that saw me emerge from the woods onto the actual trail like a fucking gremlin and went "hey", nodded, and kept walking

A Collection of Mushrooms I Have Seen During My Daily Walks

Here's a few photos of mushrooms I've spotted during my daily walks. I take a walk around a pond near work. I also park far away from the entrance at work (weather permitting), and the grounds are very pretty, so one can find some fascinating fungi if they're on the look out.

Mushrooms are fascinating things. The sporing process (is that the right term?); the nutrients in them; the way they form and grow; the whole subculture of mycophiles (people who hunt for wild edible mushrooms)... fascinating!
