I can tell how much effort you put into your Narrator design he looks so cool (completely positive) (like goddamn how do you NOT mess up that goodly) (the man ever)
WAHH thank you so much!!!
A lot did go into him. Allow me to ramble for a moment about my inspirations for him:
1) Peter Jones
According to an interview with Kevan Brighting by Cressup on YouTube, he said he got inspiration for the Narrator's voice from Peter Jones in the original radio play of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. So I already had a good idea of where to go with my Narrator, specifically the vibe of a late 60s -70s radio host. Mixed with 80s work clothes as well.
2) Various 60s-80s work clothes.
I just looked stuff up on Pinterest but these first two pics of Gregory Peck and Clint Eastwood REALLY gave me a lot of the vibes I wanted to go for. (Also Harrison Ford in the 2010s but Tumblr has a 10 image limit 😭😭). I also thought Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill fit the vibe as well. Moreso in looks than personality but Idk. Maybe that as well.
3) Stylization from other cartoons
And then to kind of stylize the look I wanted to go for, I looked at different characters and cartoons. Specifically, Ford Pines from Gravity Falls (especially him bc I thought it was funny that he had a brother named Stanley so I mean duh. Plus Alex Hirsch IS in Ultra Deluxe which is hilarious), a lot of concept art from Batman the animated series, and especially the Iron Giant. I'm actually planning to make a short animation with the Narrator and a scene from the Iron Giant for a class project! (Actually tbh, I definitely wanted to capture babygirl vibes that everyone's been talking about on Twitter and I know Saul Goodman and Kent Mansley definitely had those vibes XDD.)
4) Other internet artists
I don't want to repost their art without permission so I'll just mention names:
Forte-Girl7's/Forte7's Wheatley gijinka was actually the first gijinka I've ever seen for like anything and considering that the Narrator (especially in Ultra Deluxe) gave me more Wheatley vibes, I wanted to kind of pay tribute to her.
Also you've ever seen Bechnokid's Yokai Watch/Whisper art, that was also a big inspiration dhsjjsjs.
And of course there are the GOATs like MissAzura and CYM-K whose takes on the Narrator I've adored and actually got me into this fandom in the first place. Sooooo yeah!
There's also my own OC whom the Narrator reminded me incessantly of and he also played a part of my own Narrator design. And of course a biiiit of Kevan Brighting himself mixed with my pure imagination coming up with a simultaneously vague and particular image of what the narrator looked like in my head.
And of course, there were other things in game that informed the Narrator's character that I wanted to translated into his character design (i.e squarish shape language bc of his perfectionism and obsession with structure but also cuz of the exposed developer textures and of course the color scheme being close to the office colors in the game).
But yeah! There's more I could talk about in terms of the Narrator as a character but I'm saving that for later hehehheheh

First of all, I LOVE THAT LAWYER SORCERER, he seems genuinely cool and he just reminds me of ace attorney tbh, Edgeworth if he was a jjk character FOR REAL
And this panel is also SO CUTE ONG.. YOU WERE RIGHT YES I AGREE WITH THE FACT THAT CHOSO IS THE BEST. Yuji deserves his brothers for realsies, THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME. And I keep seeing stuff saying how Todo VS Choso would go down, but I kinda think Todo would respect Choso (and ask for his workout routine MAHAHAH)
I’m even starting to get MY FRIENDS to watch it. DeterminedFanartist, aka my pookie 4evahs, IS ALSO WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW!!! My irl bruh called Choso “Cheese” and they ALL SIMP OVER GOJO. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY IRLS SIMP OVER GOJO IT IS CRAAZZZYY…
Maki’s power up WAS DESERVED and oh mah lord… I’m on chapter 202 AND KENJAKU WAS MANIPULATING MAH AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS KENJAKU 2024 REAL?!?!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 He’d be my president 🫡🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🏈🏈🏈🌎🌎🔫🔫🔫💪💪💪
About to read chapter 203 and… no… wtf like IT IS ALREADY STARTING OFF LIKE THIS. A “you will die” IN ANY MANGA THAT ISN’T STATED TO THE MAIN CHARACTER IS NOT GOOD NEWS…
Praying… praying right now I know EVERYONE is dying in this series but pllleaaseee GEGE LET ME HAVE THIS ONE THING PLEASE PLEASE DON’T TAKE HIIIMMMM PLEASE NO NO NO PPPLLEAASEEE 💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭💔🥺🥺🥺😢😔😔😱😱😢😢😔😔😔😔
Anyways you weren’t lying when you said you were in your inactive arc, hoping you join me back soon DON’T LEAVE ME HERE MICHAEL MICHAEEEEEEELLLL 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I AM ALWAYS RIGHT! MY TASTE IN MEN IS IMPECCABLE! 😈 And yeah you”re SO RIGHT I fucking LOVE Higuruma (Miles edgeworth looking ass.) I don’t know how Gege always cooks so hard when it comes to characters 😩, Yuji’s and Choso’s relationship especially, HE’S THE COOK WHO COOKED UP OTHER COOKS 🙏 And i’m glad my jjk brainrot virus is spreading throughout the utmv/utc or whatever the flippio you call it at this point-
Also my fucking GOAT Maki out here destroying those dumbass sexists is absolute GIRL. BOSS. BEHAVIOR.
Ya better read up, cause in 3 weeks JJK ENDS. actually crazy but it’s true 😭 I miss it already….
Also, another suggestion, if you haven’t watched or read it is Jojo’s bizarre adventure 🤑, outside of part 1 which I dislike and part 3 which was boooooring, part 4 onwards is absolute peak, ESPECIALLY part 7 and 8 (sadly no anime for those yet 😔)
As for my inactive arc, i’ll try to revive more often, because i’ve actually just straight up been DEAD outside of looking at some random notifications I got, ALSO WHAT RLLY PISSES ME OFF IS WHEN I GET A NOTIFICATION ABOUT A SPECIFIC POST AND I CLICK ON IT AND IT JUST TAKES ME TO MY FEED, Like bitch I came to look at a specific post not search up that specific account and go through their posts 😭
As for why i’ve been dead eeehhh it’s mostly just I forgot a bit about Tumblr and started using Discord a whole lot more, not to mention i’m working on utc games 🤑 (Oh fuck, i’m in the money! I love money 🤑)
Now, my final question before I dump my doodles on you…
“Are you brainrotted because you’re 3dogbones, or are you 3dogbones because you’re brainrotted.”
I would post more doodles but there’s a 10 image limit 😭

*slams hands on table* LITTLE LAW OFFICE OF HORRORS.
Also, it might say mature or something, promise it’s not. Tumblr is just stupid.
I’ve had this idea in my head for a long while, and only now started to get started on it. I’ve been wanting to write a fic for it but I don’t think I have the talent for it. I might end up doing a script type fanfic deal just to branch out and it’d be easier and also I could do my own lyrics for the songs that would fit with the Au.
In this au Miles had to move schools and lost touch with Phoenix, so yeah.
And anyway, Mia also did the Fawles case and Diego is still in a coma and because of this tragedy she goes and gets a job at Edgeworth & Co. where Miles of course works at. She gets a plant for the office and names it Charley.
During this time she gets Phoenix’s case against Dahlia and gets Dahlia imprisoned and Phoenix ends up working as a paralegal for Edgeworth and Co. when he finds out Miles works there and they reconnect.
Phoenix in this au is also in an abusive relationship with Kristoph (a defense lawyer in this au of course) and Miles still has a crush on him. ANYWAY.
So Maya ends up bringing in a strange plant on the day of the solar eclipse (and also the same day Dahlia got executed hmmm maybe that’s why there’s dahlia flowers hmmm (if I ever end up writing a fic I’ll do a thing where they cut up the plant leaves and make an antidote to the poison or some shit) and she names it Charley II. And she says that it’s gonna be lucky for the office and they start getting more clients (maybe the plant keeps killing people?)
ALL THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS STUFF HAPPENS. Just wanted to add little bit of context…
In the fic I would have like, idk, Maya and Mia exorcize the fucking plant LMAO.
Close up fo scared Edgeworth becuase he is my favorite.
More close ups. Hands are hard. ALSO DON’T MENTION MY TOTALLY INCONSISTENT ART STYLE.
(I might post the drabbles I wrote of the Au cause I actually kind of like them…)
Edits: SHIT I JUST REALIZED I WROTE CALLIN INSTEAD OF CAUSIN bro. Also forgot Edgeworth’s glasses in that other one.

Fixing Larry Butz’s character development
‼️spoilers for Phoenix Wright trilogy ahead‼️
I’m aware that what I’m about to say probably isn’t anything new in the ace attorney fandom but I wanted to give my thoughts on all this anyway. I know both myself and a lot of the people in the fandom fucking hate how Larry was characterised in the 3rd game. I got told by a friend before hand that they completely ruined his character but admittedly I still held out a bit of hope, only to be majorly disappointed. As much as I adore the 3rd game, it does honestly feel like they forgot about everything that made Larry likeable in the first game. So this is basically gonna be me talking about how I personally would have developed his character.
First things first, they should’ve kept his personality and bonds with the other characters the same. While he’s similar and I’m more than happy with Phoenix getting annoyed with Larry, in the 3rd game Larry’s likeable traits are all completely abandoned and what’s left is just a womanising idiot and it feels like Phoenix straight up hates him. Larry can be a bit of an idiot who pursues relationships with women that don’t work out, I’ve got no problem with that as long as he isn’t creepy about it. But let’s not forget this dude interrupted an entire murder trial just to defend his friend he hadn’t talked to in literal years! Larry is loyal as fuck and in the first game Phoenix notes that while he always seems to get into trouble, it’s hardly ever his fault and he just has bad luck. If he was gonna be shown in the third game that should’ve been shown more. I guess it kind of is in some instances but never properly and it’s really disappointing.
Secondly, have him either make an appearance or at least be mentioned in the second game. This pissed me off so much Larry wasn’t so much as mentioned in this game. We obviously talk about Phoenix’s mourning period after “Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death” but what about Larry? He was childhood friends with Miles too who lost touch and just got him back only to lose him again! Miles, who in school, despite them having their differences, never told anyone about how he suspected Larry of actually stealing his money. That might not sound like a big thing but Larry even notes that if Phoenix hadn’t been the one being accused, he would’ve been. Chances are Larry was accused of stuff all the time as a kid. Considering that, Miles was probably the first person in a long time who didn’t want to get him in trouble. Continuing with this, Phoenix would be the only person Larry knows how knew Miles like he did and would truly know what he’s going through since they both lost that same childhood friend after just getting him back. Phoenix, the only person who’d understand, who spends that entire time refusing to speak about it, to the point he tells Maya to not even say his name. Literally all I want is either a few scenes of Larry trying to talk to Phoenix about it, only for Phoenix to shut him down instantly and then later Larry either also getting mad at Miles on Phoenix’s behalf or trying to calm Phoenix down about his return, and then also getting to see Miles again after he’s back from the dead and them having their reunion. Or, if there truly wasn’t time for any added scenes, just have it be mentioned in passing when Maya tries to talk about it and Phoenix just tells her “I’ve already told Larry and the others to not even say his name”. Just something small like that to show that Larry is also mourning the loss of his childhood friend adds just another layer to his character that I think he deserves and makes the whole thing more interesting in my opinion.
Finally, actually address his issues and insecurities instead of just making it a joke🙄 I feel like they tried to do this somewhat in the third game but honestly it just fell really flat for me. This isn’t me saying that Larry suddenly has to be this really tragic character because I definitely don’t want that. In a series filled with dead loved ones, murder and trauma, I really like that Larry can offer a form of comic relief. But if they’re going to repeatedly acknowledge the fact that he’s super insecure in the third game, at least go into why rather than just saying it🤦. Since first school Larry has been blamed for things to the point that his school had a fucking saying for it. It’s no wonder he feels inadequate in comparison to the other characters and it wouldn’t surprise me if him persuing these relationships with women is a way for him to achieve a form of validation that he was deprived of as a kid. Now obviously the game doesn’t have to go that deep into it and can leave things open to interpretation but I think Larry would have benefited from having a moment of seriousness during one of the cases after he messed up, genuinely asking Phoenix “how can I help? I know I keep messing things up. I have all my life and I want to make it right.” Just a moment of genuine friendship and reassurance between the two of them so it doesn’t seem like Phoenix hates Larry’s very being (seriously they’re supposed to be childhood best friends and they’ve stayed friends all this time but the third game has me asking why that’s the case)
Those are just my thoughts tho and I’m down to hear other’s opinions!
#I adore ace attorney I promise😅#just some choices in the game make me very annoyed sometimes#just little character things that I think would have made a big difference#like miles yelling at Von Karma like Maya does to White in the live action movie#ace attorney#larry butz#tw cursing#tw death#spoiler demon#phoenix wright#miles edgeworth#maya fey

Omg love the character design for the homstuck aa au! If you don’t mind, could you explain your reasoning for the class you gave to the characters? I just love to hear it!
yessssssss Though with every explanation, please imagine me hunched over the mspa wiki holding these characters up like paint swatches.
There's also more than have been posted, so I guess I'll update this after they post!
Franziska - Maid of Blood So Blood is all about bonds and, with Franziska, I'm looking at it more under the lens of family. Franziska is huge on family and finds it incredibly important. She looks at Miles and without a beat of hesitation claims him as a little brother.
I went with 'Maid' under both the interpretation of "cleans up [Aspect]" because so much of her life is spent trying to "clean up" the bonds of her family, though initially under the lens that family means being a von Karma, as her father defines it. And also under the pun of "maid/made:" she's "made" of her bonds, defined by familial connections - being von Karma's daughter, Edgeworth's sister.
MvK - Prince of Blood Okay, time to come clean. I'm a fool who forgot that it was the Troll Ancestors what shared Aspects with their descendants and not the human guardians. But also I fucking love parallelism so fuck it. Manfred gets Blood bc Franziska, fight me.
Prince because of it being a destructive class. Under my lens of Blood = Family; Manfred literally destroys the Edgeworth family by murdering Gregory. And even more close to the canon interpretation of Blood; he destroys the friendship between Miles and Nick by taking Miles away.
Kay Faraday - Thief of Time I think I picked Time more because of the Extended Zodiac definition of Time players being doers. But I also looked at it as Little Thief having a bit of a Time-vibe? It sorta rewinds time for us to get a look at a previous situation. Also Time players tending to be associated with death is fun with Kay's connection with crows and ravens - birds likewise associated with death.
Kay had to be a Thief. I had to make them a Thief. There's no other Class for them. They are a Thief.
Byrne Faraday - Seer of Time Byrne is a Seer since his role in the Yatagarasu was using Little Thief to figure out security and get around it. So, Little Thief being our Time stand-in, he's using his Aspect to gain knowledge - classic Seer behavior.
Miles Edgeworth - Heir of Mind Miles had to be Mind. He had to be. Mr. 'I have Logic' needed to be Mind. Mr. 'I wanted to be a defense attorney since I was a wee child' needed to be the justice Aspect. Them's the rules. Also Mind is karma related and I think I'm funny.
Picking Heir for him leans more on the imagery of "inheritance." Both in that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, but also in his dad dying to put him in the position he's in. Likewise, there's something in Manfred making him sort of a heir, if only to turn him into something he believed Gregory would've hated only to destroy him.
Gregory Edgeworth - Sylph of Mind Sylphs are healers! With Mind = Justice, Gregory is healing with justice as a defense attorney! I do not care about possibly gendered Classes, this is my house.
This is also why I gave him a badge-shield weapon in the piece. He's a defense attorney. Shields defend. I'm funny.
Phoenix Wright - Knight of Hope If Wright ain't Hope, who is? That looking into impossible odds and still going 'I think I can do it!' He believes in clients, has Hope for them!
To be frank, the second the wiki was like 'hey one way to look at Knights is that they defend Aspect or defend with Aspect,' I went 'hell yeah there's Nick!' He defends Hope (not letting Edgeworth sink himself in Turnabout Goodbyes despite Edgeworth trying super hard) and defends with Hope (aforementioned belief in clients and trust that things will work out).
Mia Fey - Heir of Hope Went more with the lens of Heirs becoming their Aspect with Mia. Upon her death, she's called upon to give hope ('flip over the ding-dang receipt,' etc.)
I think there's also the valid lens that she was the original Heir of the Fey Clan in the wake of Misty vanishing. But she also left to find her mom and sort of represents the hope of solving everything.
Maya Fey - Seer of Doom Easy. Maya gains knowledge by speaking to (speaking as?) the dead (the doomed). Seer of Doom behavior.
Morgan Fey - Maid of Doom I think I went with the sort of speculation-ish lens of Maid in the historical sense of "unmarried lady of noble birth who attends a queen or princess" fitting Morgan's role as she was supposed to be the head of the Clan, but fell short without spiritual ability.
Also she super ruins shit. Made of Doom.
Ema Skye - Witch of Void Is Void for Ms. Science weird? Perhaps. But Void players tend to distance themselves in some way. Ema, by AA4, is incredibly closed off, hiding her hurt in an aloof affect. Everyone's beloved crutch: Snackoos.
Additionally, Witches tend to break the rules! Void is obfuscating? Not for this Witch! Ema's picks "which" void is allowed to exist, whether it's actually able to hide what it is. And also science is about exploring the mysteries!
Lana Skye - Knight of Void Lana's a more intuitive fit for Void imo. She has the distance of Void players down to an art.
I also looked at Knight as defending with Lana, but more that she defends through obfuscation. She tries to protect Ema by hiding the truth.
Klavier Gavin - Bard of Heart Breaking my convention bc I gotta talk Class and Aspect together here oops.
Heart is self, emotions, love (platonic or otherwise), but Bards (as a destructive Class) tend not to display their Aspect well. Klavier is masks on masks on masks - mask of a performer, of a prosecutor, of someone well-adjusted. He's initially 'destroyed' a true self by constantly flipping between these roles and never letting anyone see past that.
Bards, additionally, are pretty unpredictable! The wiki describes them as either sinking their entire party or being responsible for an improbable victory or both! Klavier utterly sinks Wright in their first encounter, but is ultimately the one who points out to Kris that Vera's trial is the test of the Jurist System, so he's absolutely hosed. He's the voice ringing in victory.
Also he had to be a Bard. Klav's a rockstar; gotta be a Bard.
Also I imagine her Godtier powers giving her like... Maenads. Using music to get others in a heightened emotional state and just fucking tearing apart enemies. I think that's neat. Let Klavier go apeshit.
pls tell me everyone got the axkind pun pls tell me everyone appreciated my shitty joke
Apollo Justice - Mage of Light Apollo had to be Light because I think I'm funny. But also Light being knowledge as awareness, illuminating hidden things, letting no secret remain. Apollo's got Special Eyes.
Mages also have weird relationships with their Aspect. Apollo has limited knowledge about himself in certain ways - not knowing Thalassa is his mother, Trucy his sister, etc. And in DD, he does half-blind himself to avoid dealing with his abilities. Mages also seem to derive information from their Aspect, so double check on Special Eyes.
Trucy Wright - Sylph of Breath Breath is freedom! It's going your own way and having confidence it's right. Big carefree energy. She never appears as bogged down by all her circumstances as one might expect.
Paired with the Sylph's healing role, you get Trucy's very confident 'come on let's have fun!' and likewise her seriously telling Nick that she'd work for the two of them. She marches to the beat of her own drum, but tries to carry others with her to help them feel better, or get what they need done.

Hi bestie I’m back 2 drop evil sad thoughts into your inbox :)
consider ray hearing about the miles Edgeworth chooses death letter nd being absolutely devastated bc it means mvk won in the end. he absolutely won even after he was executed/died from old age gonna be honest I forgot how he bit the dust lol. consider he hears abt miles being pulled out of the von karma thing in state v Edgeworth (I’d guess he learns this while out of the country I think he was out of the country during this since it’d be fucked up if he just didn’t defend miles when no one would take his case skdjdjdjdjw) and he thinks miles still gave up bc of the letter. wouldn’t that be so fucked up ahahahah
hii cronch my inbox is always open for ur thoughts even when they’re sad and evil
shit man i never even thought about that. like how ray would have felt if he’d heard about miles’ ‘suicide’, knowing that in the end vk had basically killed both greg and his son, and he (ray) wasn’t able to save either of them. OUGH you should write a fic about this
(also iirc it’s never stated exactly how mvk died? i think all we know is that it happened sometime between AA1 and AA2 but it’s kind of assumed he was executed)

Annoying Turnabout
This was supposed to be a quick little drabble, but I have no self control and it got away from me. No matter, Ace Attorney needs more fluffy fics like this. Phoenix is so fucking cute when he’s embarrassed, and I probably made Edgeworth more teasy than he’d actually be. But that’s okay your honor, they’re smitten.
Miles Edgeworth was a composed man. He didn't often joke around and laughed rarely. His smile was more of a snide smirk, even when it was genuine. And to top it all off, he had an air of superiority about him, like he was too good for anything even mildly amusing. Which is why Phoenix was determined to make him crack.
"Y'know Miles, even though you were an uptight kid, you still knew how to have fun," he noted. Edgeworth cocked a brow, glancing up from the magazine he was reading. "Is that so?"
"Mhm."
"Your point being..." he prompted, trailing off as he went back to reading. Phoenix shrugged, the hint of a smile on his face.
"I don't know. I just never thought you'd grow up to be such a stick in the mud," he said, hoping to gain a reaction from him. Edgeworth stiffened, hands clenching and crinkling the pages as he glared at him.
"Excuse me, what did you just call me?" he said through his teeth.
"You heard me. Or do you need hearing aids?" he asked smugly. Miles knew he was just messing with him. Trying to rile him up. And he shouldn't give him what he wanted. But oh, how he wanted to play along.
"You're the one who needs hearing aids, old man," he said, a teasing note in his voice.
Phoenix chuckled and shook his head. "We're the same age, so you basically called yourself old." Edgeworth looked up, eyes wide and hair falling in his face. "Nhg- You know damn well that's not what I meant!" he said, slamming a fist on the table.
He merely smirked, propping his feet on Edgeworth's desk and leaned back in his chair. He even put his hands behind his head in a show of defiance. "Do I?" Miles glared harder and grabbed his ankles, shoving them off the desk. Phoenix flailed his arms to regain his balance as the chair teetered on its back legs.
Edgeworth hummed as he steadied himself. "Pity, I was hoping you'd fall."
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" he teased, leaning forward this time. Miles rolled his eyes and went back to reading. Phoenix huffed in annoyance when he was ignored. He stretched his leg out under the table and lightly stepped on the toe of his shoe.
He grunted and pulled his foot away, only for Wright to repeat the motion. He looked at him from over the top of his magazine. "Is there a reason why you're more insufferable than usual?" he asked.
The truth of the matter was that Phoenix thought he was unbelievably cute when aggravated. And deep down, he was a little shit.
"Nope," he said, popping the "p."
"What are we, five years old now?" Miles asked incredulously.
Phoenix shrugged. "Hey, I'd rather have a mental age of five than 50," he sassed.
"Wright. You are testing my patience, and you don't want to know what will happen when it runs out," he warned.
"You know what? I think I do actually," he taunted. Edgeworth let out a deep sigh and stood, straightening the collar of his suit jacket.
"Very well. If you want to act like a child, I'll treat you like one." Phoenix cocked his head to the side, staying still as he watched his old friend come closer. As Miles loomed over him, only then did he falter. He gave a nervous chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Uh, Miles? You got that scary look on your face that you use in court. Y-you know I was only joking, right?" he asked, trying to appear as innocent as possible.
"Believe me, I'm well aware. However, your little jokes aren't near as amusing as you may think. Don't worry, I'll give you something to laugh about." Before Wright could question him, he poked a single finger in his exposed armpit. He yelped and immediately slammed his arm to his side.
"You know what? You're right, I was being stupid and childish, I'll leave you alone now, I promise!" he rambled.
Edgeworth shook his head and tsked. "You will leave me alone. As soon as I teach you a lesson." When he took another step forward, Phoenix rose from his chair, standing behind it to use it as a shield.
"B-but you're usually so mature! I thought you'd be above something as childish as ti- as this!" he said, face turning bright red as he stuttered and failed to say the word. This only made Edgeworth's smirk grow.
"Normally I am. But you bring out the best in me Wright. Certainly a bit of immaturity is required to deal with you."
They stood there, just staring at each other for a solid 10 seconds. Phoenix's eyes darted to the side before he made a dash for the door. Miles easily caught him, arm wrapping around his waist and pulling him into his clutches.
"No no nohoho I'm sorry!" he giggled, shoving at his arm. Miles dug his fingers into his sides and he burst into bubbly laughter.
"For some reason, I don't believe you. You know, you're awfully cocky for someone who's so ticklish," he mused playfully. Phoenix's blush darkened and he covered his face with one hand.
"Shuhuhut uhuhup!"
"Why should I? You obviously can't make me in your state," he teased. He began kneading his soft belly and his laughter deepened and his thrashing increased. It was a bright and slightly goofy sound, and it was perfectly fitting for the ace attorney.
"Mihihiles dohohon't!" he whined through his frantic giggles.
"Don't what? Come on Wright, use your words," he goaded, one hand scratching up his ribs. The only response he got in return was a loud squeal. "Glad to see my memory is serving me well. Does Larry still abuse this knowledge?" he asked, amusement clear in his voice.
"Yehehes okay? Nohohow quit ihihit!" he giggled, curling in on himself. His arms flailed about uselessly as Miles squeezed and prodded his belly. He snorted loudly and blushed profusely, hiding his embarrassed face in his hands.
Edgeworth barked out a laugh. "I forgot how you snort when you laugh too hard. How hilariously charming," he teased. Poor Phoenix was dying of embarrassment.
"Nohoho it's nohohot!" he argued, followed by another snort.
"Sure it is. And don't even get me started on this spot," he taunted, reaching up to scratch the nape of his neck. Phoenix arched his back with a shrill screech of laughter, leaning into Miles. He fell into a bubbly stream of giggles, not even bothering to fight back anymore. Not that he could get away even if he tried; Edgeworth was stronger than he looked.
"Still just as ticklish as when we were kids," he mused, shaking his head fondly. It was only when Phoenix started to hiccup through his hysterical laughter that he finally showed mercy.
He helped steady him as he regained his breath. "Yo- hic-you jeherk!" he scolded, cheeks still burning red. Miles rolled his eyes.
"Yes, I know. I'm truly the worst," he joked along. They both chuckled.
"If you think I'm gonna leave you alone after that, you're wrong. I can't just let you get away with an attack like that! I have to annoy you twice as much now," Wright said, crossing his arms.
He merely shrugged, smirk growing. "In that case, I'll just have to tickle you twice as much."
Phoenix flinched and took a step back, a bead of sweat rolling down his forehead. "N-no you can't!"
"Oh can't I?" he asked, arching a brow. He cocked his head to the side in amusement. "I'd think again before testing my patience. Unless you're keen on finding out what I can really dish out," he warned, even winking at him. Phoenix whined and hid his face in his hands.
"I forgot how insufferable you can be," he grumbled.
"Well then you're really not going to like what I'm about to say."
Phoenix felt his heart both flutter and sink to the pit of his stomach at the same time. "What?" he asked, because the curiosity was going to eat him alive.
"I recall you admitting that you found all of this to be fun," he said with a triumphant smile. Wright's mouth gaped open, face turning pale before his blush came back in full force at the very accurate accusation.
"Wha- I- we were kids! Of course I liked it back then, it was playful roughhousing! I grew out of it!" he claimed, desperate to reclaim some of his dignity.
Edgeworth tutted, shaking his head. "Oh please, you know I'm too smart to believe that. You even went as far as to provoke me into action, resorting to your old methods in the hope that I would remember."
Phoenix was left speechless... Miles really hit the nail on the head with that one. He groaned, admitting defeat and flopping into the chair at the desk. He rest his head on the cool wood, wrapping his arms around his face to shield himself from Edgeworth's gaze.
"There's nothing to be ashamed of Wright. I find it rather amusing myself," he teased, sitting in the opposite chair. He looked up to glare at him.
"Of course you do."
"Oh please. Teasing's half of the fun. You told me so yourself."
Phoenix's eyes narrowed. "No I didn't." Then his eyes widened as he thought it over. "Wait, did I?" he asked aloud, more to himself than to Miles.
He shrugged. "No, but the fact you believed you could have only proves my point."
He let out a small, frustrated scream and slammed his head back down on the desk as Edgeworth's snide chuckling filled the air.

Prosecutor Phoenix Wright AU
Okay, I’m a little nervous, but here we go... this is my Prosecutor Wright AU.
Now if we’re switching Phoenix and Edgeworth we have to include being raised by Von Karma. I’ll have to admit THAT was my biggest dilemma. The first problem was WHY. Why on Earth would Manfred Von Karma raise this random orphan child? And to complicate the meter the first trilogy is deep down all about DL-6 and so this HAS to be in some way part of the adaptation.
After stomping on this brick wall, I gave up for a while. Them I had to do a very important paper from college, so my brain decided “fuck it, write fanfic” and I got the perfect solution (I’m still doing the paper btw). So let 's start.
To begin with we need to go into Phoenix home life. And this is EASY. He has none. Lol, but really, except for Ryunosuke there’s no canon mention or information given about Phoenix family or home life. What can be a little annoying but in AU it’s perfect for doing anything you want, filling the blanks with your own ideas. So in this AU, Phoenix Wright starts as a second generation japanese immigrant whose dad died when has only a lil baby. Until the age of 9 he was raised by a single mom who loved him very much but had to work double time to maintain both of them. She was the only person who called him by his japanese name (Ryuchii or just Ryu for short) and he also loved her a lot.
But this is Manfred raising Fennie AU so things are about to change.
The first change is so small it could be cannon. It all starts the day before DL-6 with Miles, Larry and Phoenix playing Signal Samurai at the former’s house except Miles forgets one of his Nancy Drew books there (no one, NO ONE, can convince me baby Edgeworth didn’t had a Nancy Drew collection and was ALWAYS taking at least one of the books EVERYWHERE just in case a opportunity to read appeared). But this is Phoenix “needs a ghost to tell him to turn a receipt around” Wright and so he only realises that on the other day and only ‘cause his mom notice. So he goes to Miles' house to give the book back, Except there’s no one there. A reasonable person would just go back home and come back later, but this is Phoenix, not only that but child Phoenix so he does the only thing he can... he asks around and “investigates” until discovering that Miles and Gregory are in the courthouse (it’s not that Miles weren’t gushing over it for days is more that Phoenix forgot what day would the whole courthouse visit happen). And as you can imagine he runs towards the courthouse.
He runs.
It’s a long way.
The earthquake happens.
Fortunately the earthquake did nothing to him, even though it was a strong earthquake, he just fell and scraped his knees a bit. But now he was extremely worried about the Edgeworths. He ran faster. Until he finally got into the courthouse, he sprinted inside, ignoring any guard who could say something about this random child running around a courthouse. And he finally got there... to see a broken elevator open and a man with a gun. He froze. Von Karma shot. Phoenix dropped the book.
And then Manfred Von Karma saw the only mistake in his perfect crime, the child who by all means should not be there, wasn’t there seconds ago and had seen him murdering a man. Phoenix tried to run towards Miles and Gregory and do something. He was screaming for help and there was a huge chance the guards would get there and see if he shot the kid, besides, Gregory suffered cause he dared to cross the Von Karma legacy, this child was not part of it, killing him was a whole different ordeal. Fortunately for Manfred the kid was in shock and so said nothing when the help came. He almost hoped the kid would be too scared to talk.
And maybe this could be his downfall if Phoenix Wright was not an idealist. But even as an adult he was, he always believed that the truth would prevail, that if confronted with it people would have to confess. So he did what Phoenix Wright does and after the ambulance had came he confronted Manfred Von Karma and accused him of murder. Not only that but as he had heard the two shots he found out way easier about the shoulder bullet so he had proof. As you can imagine Manfred Von Karma didn’t react well by being accused of murder and threatened Phoenix trying to scare him to keep his mouth shut.
It seemed to have worked. Until looking in the DL-6 information (he may not have prosecuted but for sure Manfred looked at all the information on this case while it was happening, he may even have been a witness as he was the one who “found” the body), he realized Phoenix Wright was listed as one of Hammond's witnesses. He couldn’t let it happen, He would have to prove to this child that his threats were serius.
Now he could show it by adopting Miles as he always wanted (to spite Gregory ghost) but not only he had lost to much time trying to solve this huge mistake in his perfect time to the point Raymond Shields had already made a claim (know Von Karma could overdo it, he was very powerful indeed). But that could very well be seen as more reason to tell. So he orchestrated to plant false evidence that Phoenix mom was unfit to take care of him and so would lose her guardianship over her son. Adopting Phoenix and using the visitations with his mom as leverage. With that he could also attest that Phoenix was unfit to present a truthful testimony as he was not in a good mental place and a child in this situation could fantasize about the whole thing very easily.
Now, in the beginning that didn’t stop Phoenix but as his mother situacion was getting worse and worse, to the point Manfred put her in jail by false charges of selling drugs and abusing her son. And a shit ton of gaslight by his new guardian, he just gave up. His mind started represing and mixing the memories until a point he had no idea what had happened after he got to the courthouse. And he started kinda believing Von Karma when he said he just found the body and even that his mother may be guilty, that there were criminals everywhere and the only way to not be betrayed was to learn to doubt them and bring them to justice.
It’s important to notice that Phoenix doesn't deal well with having his idealism crushed. It happened twice in canon, first in Justice for All wich the Engarde Case and he having to realize he can’t save everyone and this isn’t his job, that his compromise is with the truth and not with his hero complex and them even hard in Apollo Justice, where trusting a innocent kid cost his badge. And in both these cases he was older and a small support system. He has none there and this means it would be very easy for him to grow more cynical and angry, but also to never truly give up on it. He may have been manipulated and groomed to the point he doesn’t know his own memories all that well but he knows he has some important information about the DL-6 in there... Except he is still a kid so he soon runs into the wrong conclusion, he decides he must have found proof that Miles was the culprit and could not let his best friend pay for something that was for sure an accident and had somehow convinced Von Karma to do the same. He convinced himself that if he did something, Manfred would tell the truth and Miles would be arrested just like his mom and probably die in prison just like his mom and it would be his fault just like his mom (he may not be sure why she was on jail but he is that it’s somehow his fault). So he just gives up completely.
Now Von Karma will make Phoenix a prosecutor. He knows the kid has potential, he discovered the bullet thing (it wasn’t that hard he had just taken the shot but still), he thought fast and gave up hard but more important by being Manfred’s ward the boy was now part of the Von Karma name and so he had to honour it. But he wasn’t as determined as he was with Miles, after all there was no ghost for him to spite. Phoenix was also very different to Edgeworth in intellect. Miles is a traditional genius, you ask him to learn a new language in two days at age nine and he will. You ask Phoenix to learn a new language in a month at the age twelve and he will come up with a brand new language. It's a surprisingly functional and well thought language that could very well be a real one but it’s still not what was asked for nor will it be seen as useful by most people. Add that to Phoenix's big-hearth and his usual lack of strong competitiveness and we have a whole new relationship with Fransiska.
The thing is Miles and Fransiska used to be real close but having her dad blatant giving more attention to her brother (even if it was a negative one) and constantly pitching them against each other their relationship became strained. Not to mention neither were very good at talking about feelings. But with Phoenix that wouldn't happen. At most she would be the one held in higher standards. He would help her with something in the first days, maybe picking something from a higher shelf (not that he would be THAT taller than her) or unpromptly taking the blame for something she broke. And at first she would use that as an excuse to be nice to him saying she didn’t want a debt and turning it into a competition, until with time they would drop the excuses and become close. She would find him even more foolish than she found Miles and also too foolishly emotional. She would also be very protective of her little brother (I genuinely believe Fran started calling Miles her little brother because he got into the family after her and on her baby brain that could only mean he was the little brother even if he was older).
As a prosecutor I think he would be a lot like Beanix, more cynical and sarcastic, almost always with a poker face, hiding the over emotional, big hearted, scared little boy he is inside. He would mimic Von Karma but in his wild style, turning the game around dramatically and throwing witnesses and attorneys off their feet. He majored in theater for a while in canon and was a great artist as a kid so he would probably use it to cope and add to his aesthetic (because prosecutors HAVE aesthetics on Ace Attorney it’s just how it is). Using stage prompts to mark his points (his courtroom signature because prosecutors ALSO HAVE signature moves in Ace Attorney). There would always have a small voice in his head asking if he’s really defending the truth and doing the right thing but he usually ignores it... that is until Miles Edgeworth comes back to his life as a promising new attorney.

For the pairing thing:
Narumitsu and whatever the ship name for Apollo/Clay/Klavier is (I don’t know how to spell it)
Me, emerging from the grave to finish this last one
proposes - Big fan of Phoenix proposing or either of them but I’m gonna have to give it to Miles because the thematic presence of him and Phoenix waiting until Miles was ready to make that step forward himself is too good to pass up.
shops for groceries - Phoenix. Miles “How much could a banana cost? 10 dollars?” Edgeworth went by himself once and almost made the cashier cry because he asked for change on a hundred dollar bill when the whole cart was only like 15 bucks.
kills the spiders - Either. I don’t think they care. They’ll leave them if the spider is just in the corner but if it crawls anywhere closer then it’s fair game.
comes home drunk at 3am - If it’s gotta be one of them then Phoenix will take the agency out for wins in court and come back absolutely sloshed the moment someone else says they’ll be responsible for everyone else
remembers to feed the fish - They had to sit there and make a whiteboard schedule and set alarms to feed this fish like it was their child. They still fucking forgot.
initiates duets - Phoenix. Big fan of former theatre and art double major Phoenix that still sings around
falls asleep first - War of attrition both from their own nightmares and they want to be up in case the other has nightmares.
plans spontaneous trips - Miles. He’s putting his knack for “I am dropping everything to live this country for another” into family trips. Takes him a bit to realize Phoenix can’t just drop everything to go somewhere like he does.
wakes the other up at 3am demanding pancakes - I refuse to believe Miles can make pancakes. So Phoenix wakes Miles up just to sit and keep him company while he makes them himself.
sends the other unsolicited nudes - I’m gonna say Phoenix if it had to be one of them mostly but Miles sent one at an extremely inopportune time on purpose just to start shit
brags about knowing karate even though they never made it past yellow belt - Miles is the epitome of the “I have God and anime on my side AAAA” vine. I’m not sorry for this.
comes to a complete halt outside bakeries/candy shops - Both at different times. What if I made it angsty and said Miles always stops when the Christmas cookies are on display.
blows sarcastic kisses after doing ridiculous shit - Phoenix. He’s rolling past Miles at high speeds on the shopping cart in the parking lot before his knee gives out and he’s on the ground.
killed the guy (also, which hid the body) - Phoenix is hiding the body and eating all of the evidence like a loose dog.
wears the least clothing around the house - Phoenix by default because Miles has a minimum of 5 layers of clothes on at all times
has icky sentimental moments for no apparent reason - Sucker for Miles being extremely clingy and in love

So uh, I've been thinking about a hypothetical Trucy Wright: Act Attorney and here is the very poorly written outline for it because yeah. No spoilers except the Apollo Trucy thing. Tw death, murder, blood and grieving so yeah.
Trucy's first case is literally her first ever case. This is a flashback case. We follow her as she wakes up, slightly stressed about today, Phoenix gives her cereal and a pep talk and a cryptic message. Trucy asks where Papa is, it is Miles, they are married. Phoenix is cryptic about that too. He stays behind as he "has to buy groceries" so Trucy heads into the office. Apollo greets her, it's clear they know they're siblings, and he hands her a case. Miles is prosecuting. She is fucking terrified. She goes to the crime scene, Gumshoe is the detective and he's educating his teenage sons, constant confusion of who's who, because they are twins and they look very like Gumshoe, it'll be kinda funny. Its a simple investigation. During the investigation, the player can check Trucy's profile and the profile system shows character's middle names now. We get some gems such as Klavier Hyacintha Gavin later on, the reasoning behind this is coz Trucy is nosy. The important one here is Trucy Mia Wright. She says something about how she chose her own middle name when Phoenix adopted her and she chose Mia after learning about her. Yada yada. Trucy wins the case. Edgeworth is very proud, Phoenix is in the gallery and there's a flash of him crying proud tears, Apollo hugs her afterwards, Athena congrats her.
Next case, flash forward three years later, we do not see Phoenix and nobody really mentions him. Thats because he's fucking dead but we don't know that yet. This case is a Fey case, we meet Maya who is married to Franziska and they're technically on honeymoon in Kurain and Pearl becomes the Maya to Trucy's Phoenix. Its another fey murder case. There are a few mentions of Trucy's admiration of Mia, mainly just a mirror of a few lines she's said and a conversation where her and Maya talk about her, Trucy says she would have loved to meet her and Maya explains how her spirit has been dormant for ages now and how she assumes she's moved on.
"If you want I can try and channel-"
"No no no no NO. Its ok!"
This is our first hint that Phoenix is no longer with us, but we don't know until later thats what she means. Sebastian is the prosecutor, the player finds out that Miles is taking a break from prosecuting work, Trucy already knew of course, and Sebastian is dubbed Chief until he comes back, Fran says
"It would've been me were I not on my literal honeymoon right now." We are not told why yet, but it is because of Phoenix. Kay Faraday is the detective, somebody murders someone and frames Maya, no-one is shocked by this. We also get an update on Iris, she's thriving. She wins yada yada.
Next case, a couple of months later, Trucy gets a call from a friend that the player can't identify at first. Its Katrielle Layton. She needs Trucy's legal knowledge because someone is sueing her detective agency because have you seen how they practice. This, of course, turns to murder and we get another surprise when we meet the prosecutor. Who probably has a licence to practise law in England? Simon Blackquill, he is British ok. Yeah, Trucy wins with Kat's help, we meet Ernest and Sherl and Alfendi and Flora if we have time. I miss them. Trucy and Kat have a conversation that cryptically addresses their fathers and their "whereabouts" and living up to their legacy. We see Trucy cry, but only a similar flash to AJ:AA and we do not know why. Yet.
Next case, flashback case. Trucy is the assistant on this case but we still play as her, even in the court sections since Phoenix is prepping her for the bar and getting her to give him the answers. The bar exam is only in three days. Klavier is prosecuting. The case somehow relates to Kristoph and there's the whole mirror dynamic thing of when Phoenix lost his badge. Kristoph is dead by now, but the whole thing is there was a plot inside prison to make Phoenix pay for putting a bunch of them in, Kristoph was the assumed ring leader until he died and the cops now dont know who's running it. Somebody (Godot? That would hurt big time) was their inside man, sent to figure that out, so when whoever it was turned up dead, the whole thing got exposed. We get a bit of a Mia moment in the trial where Trucy tells Phoenix to flip over the receipt (thats evidence for some reason). Phoenix says "I feel like that shouldn't be the second time someone has said that to me". The killer is found, by Phoenix, and put into isolation, as have most of the other participants. We then see Trucy get her badge. They have a conversation and Trucy says Phoenix basically forgot about it for a couple of months. The case closes with a foreboding "and I forgot about it too, until..."
Next case. Phoenix is fucking murdered. Trucy gets a phone call late at night, she hears laboured breathing on the other end and a "don't forget I love you" from Phoenix. Trucy pulls a simba and goes "dad? Dad?!!" And the line goes dead. The player is presented with a choice of who to call. They have two phone calls. Who they choose first makes no difference, but the second time they are forced to choose Ema who will trace Phoenix's phone call. They could call Apollo and he would comfort her, Miles would panic, Maya would say he was just messing around, Athena would sense her distress and say she's coming over etc. You could attempt to call Phoenix back but he would not answer and you would be allowed to call someone else. Ema then traces the phone call and we follow Trucy to the crime scene. We get a truly haunting cutscene where everything kinda goes blurry except Phoenix's face and the blood. Trucy doesn't cry. She stands there in shock. The WAA is there in various states of shock and upset. Return of grieving Apollo I guess. Miles turns up and the look on his face is haunting. Trucy and him make eye contact and they share the thought of something has to be done. And then. "The bar association took me off the case and Papa too, they said we were too close to it. As a result, we never found out who did it... Until now." And we see a determined Trucy face. We jump forward to where we last saw Trucy, she and Pearl are coming back from England and its a bit more cheery. Trucy sends Pearl on a train back to Kurain and heads on home. She enters the house and we see Miles pouring over Phoenix's case. He jumps up and runs towards her.
"Trucy! I think I have a lead, I-"
"Papa, you're tired, go to bed." (Or better dialogue along those lines)
Its clear he's been doing this sort of thing a lot.
"But I do! At least...I think I do..."
He trails off and rests his head in his hands.
"Do I? Or am I just a mess?"
Trucy gives him a sad smile.
"C'mon let's go to bed."
Miles returns the sad smile and fades out like all ace attorney characters do. The player is given the option to look around. There's probably some emotional dialogue and bits that give clues to how she and Miles have been fairing the past 3 years. Answer is, not very well. Examine the pile of papers on the table. Trucy will take a look and then realise her papa may have actually been onto something. Its a diagram of which prisoners knew each other, with an arrow from each leading to a defense attorney we have never met. Trucy is confused, but she calls for Miles anyway. He comes back downstairs and Trucy asks him about this lead he found.
"Well I realised all those prisoners would know this defense attorney (insert name?)"
"Why? And why would they be suspicious?'
"They (pronouns?) Were always the defense attorney who would take on the cases of those Wright had already accused. They gained a reputation of being the doomed defense attorney."
"So... They knew all the prisoners in the plot and they had a grudge against daddy... Papa I think you're onto something!"
And the case continues, since we already know who's been accused, it plays out more like an investigations game, Trucy has to prove it, with Miles' help of course, literally every other character we know and love plays a part in making sure this guy gets a guilty verdict. There is still a courtroom bit and a moment when all is looking dark, Trucy literally has a full on breakdown as the Judge threatens to remove her from the case again. Miles is by her side, they're both technically prosecution here i guess. Miles, however, is too deep in his own mental breakdown to help. Everyone else is in the gallery besides Pearl. Pearl channels Phoenix as a last hope sort of thing. Phoenix comforts her and tells her to keep fighting, he touches her badge and probably says some sort of bullshit about it. The Judge is about to bang the gavel when Trucy and Phoenix object at the same time. Miles looks up and realises whats going on and he objects too, a little later. The battle goes on until it finishes and the other attorney has a breakdown that steals little bits from every other murderer Phoenix has put behind bars. This is the one time seeing the word guilty on your screen feels good. There's a whole heartwarming celebration at the end, Phoenix sticks around for a little bit and everyone gets a bit of closure. Its assumed he's gone since Pearl passes out and Trucy dips out for a sec. She's away from the festivities, staring at the badge in her hand and we see someone coming up behind her. Maya is channelling Phoenix now. He gives Trucy a hug and utters the words "the only time a lawyer can cry is when its all over and, Trucy darling, my light, its over." Echoing both Diego and Mia.
And the screen fades to black with a final hug between father and daughter.

i forgot to respond earlier but YES if you feel up to ranking the cases you should! :D
i absolutely feel up to it! okay, let’s go! below, my rankings for all of the ace attorney cases i’ve played so far... please note that these are all subjective opinions and you may highly disagree, but this is how i feel :) please also note that this will contain me crushing hard on a couple of characters but i promise not to get over the top about it.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
The First Turnabout -- 2/10 I literally do not care about this one like, at all. I do like having Mia around, hence why it has 2 points instead of 0. But also it’s a Larry case and I really do not like Larry. Plus... everything else. I just don’t like it. (And Phoenix having passed the bar exam but not knowing what a cross-examination is, even if it’s just for tutorial purposes, drives me up the wall.)
Turnabout Sisters -- 6/10 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA [sobs] This case hurts me. It hurts. Both because of the painful loss of sibling rights and because April May exists. Very different types of hurting, but all the same... She’s one of the reasons why this case gets points taken off of it. Another reason is that I’m just not huge on how it progresses; I’m never a fan of when Mia has to come in and be like ‘this is what you need to do!’ I like figuring it out myself, y’know? But also, heyyyyy, introduction to some characters that are very dear to my heart! Edgeworth time! Fantastic!
Turnabout Samurai -- 5/10 I like Will Powers a lot, and I would kill for Cody, and Penny makes me happy because she has the same name as me, and Dee Vasquez... Wow. Wow. She’s really something. But the plot is kind of boring and goes on for too long, Wendy Oldbag makes me want to defenestrate myself (especially when she talks to Edgeworth) and Sal Manella fills me with a murderous rage. So this case only gets a 5/10. It would probably get lower, except I really love Edgeworth realizing what’s going on and starting to help out, and the scene at the end... well. Well. I’m sure I don’t need to elaborate.
Turnabout Goodbyes -- 10/10 Excellent case. Perfect case. Could not think more highly of it. Yes my lifespan is decreased whenever I see Manfred von Karma but it’s okay. I love defending Edgeworth and I love the backstory even though I also hate it, and I love the actual realistic depictions of trauma, and I love cross-examining the parrot, and I love love LOVE the ending, of course, because getting justice has never felt so goddamn satisfying before. Yeah, I think this case is just my absolute favorite (so far).
Rise from the Ashes -- 9/10 This case hurts me deeply for a thousand different reasons. The sibling rights... The REMOVAL of sibling rights... (I cried. I actually cried.) Edgeworth suffering... It’s all so painful but it’s so well-written that it’s okay. Point taken off because the whole rotating evidence thing kind of annoyed me. ‘But isn’t that also a mechanic in the Investigations series?’ Yeah, but it’s okay when Investigations does it. Don’t ask me to elaborate.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All
The Lost Turnabout -- 3/10 This case only gets points for Maggey, and also Wellington’s cool ringtone. Oh, and the line about bananas. You know the one. Otherwise, it’s just kind of boring, though I do appreciate that they actually came up with an excuse as to why Phoenix suddenly needs everything explained to him again. Even if that excuse is a bit silly.
Reunion, and Turnabout -- 7/10 It’s not a favorite by any means, but this one is pretty good. Pearl is just baby. The whole Miney sisters thing is deeply upsetting to me, but in a way that’s kind of good. The Hotti Clinic makes me really fucking angry and creeped out, so points taken off for that. Also, Franziska has arrived, and oh boy am I glad to see her!
Turnabout Big Top -- -10000000000000000/10 NO NO NO NO NO. FUCK THIS CASE. I HATE IT SO FUCKING MUCH. I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS ONE. The only good thing in it is how Franziska talks about Miles, because sibling rights are real. But the rest of it? The rest of it can burn.
Farewell, My Turnabout -- 9/10 This is a really good case! I LOVE the twist, I didn’t expect it at all, and it was so cool. I also really like Adrian. Shelly de Killer is pretty cool too. And of course, Edgeworth is back! Hallelujah! Franziska getting shot though... :( And having to go to that damn clinic... :((( Oh and also I love Shoe with every fiber of my being.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations
Turnabout Memories -- 7/10 Ah, another flashback case, and one that doesn’t absolutely destroy me emotionally! Mia is here! Phoenix Wright as a sick college student with no common sense is here! Dahlia Hawthorne is here! It’s quite a collection of interesting individuals, and on top of that, it’s just a cool case! Even if lovestruck Phoenix makes me feel like hitting someone... Sort of like what it does to Mia...
The Stolen Turnabout -- 6/10 The case itself isn’t that good, to be honest. But I would kill for Ron and Desiree DeLite. They’re so sweet, and Ron is so funny... On the other hand, though, Luke Atmey can go Zvarri himself. I hated him from the very moment he first appeared. What an annoying, fraudulent ass. Also, Godot was there, and I didn’t like him, either, even though I hadn’t yet seen quite just how bad he can get. It was really nice to see Adrian living her best life, though!
Recipe for Turnabout -- 2/10 I really didn’t like this one... I don’t want to talk about it... I did like Lisa Basil though. Too bad she wasn’t much of a character. Oh, and Viola too. And seeing Maggey again was nice. But those were the only good points in an otherwise horrible case.
Turnabout Beginnings -- 7/10 The case is pretty high quality, but it tormented me. Seeing Edgeworth in that coat... with those sprites, just like von Karma’s... And that one line... I hated every minute of it. It hurt. The only way it could’ve been worse was if von Karma himself had been there, but that gets saved for Investigations. Mia being there again was fun, though. And Dahlia... Wow. Lots going on there. That ending was... a lot. Terry was a creep and I didn’t like him, but watching that... Yeah. Yeah. And Diego did not endear himself to me in the slightest.
Bridge to the Turnabout -- 8/10 Too much Godot. Otherwise, this was a really great case. Playing as Edgeworth was so much fun, and Franziska being there too was incredible, and the whole thing tying up all the loose ends was just... so cool. Admittedly, the case itself made me very sad, but... it was so good. So good. I wanted to kill Godot partway through, though. No one talks to Franziska that way. No one. Plus, his whole stupid attitude about Mia... Yeah, I hated his guts, that’s for sure. It also had the scene that I hate (Phoenix needs to fucking learn what PTSD is or I swear to god) but otherwise, very good case.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
Turnabout Visitor -- 5/10 HELLOOOOOO I was so excited to finally play these games that the whole case is a bit of a blur, but I do remember not really finding it that interesting outside of the whole rush of ‘FUCK YEAH I’M PLAYING INVESTIGATIONS’. Jacques annoyed me. But it’s Investigations. Investigations is cool.
Turnabout Airlines -- 7/10 Okay, first of all, Edgeworth hiding Steel Samurai stuff in a law book is genuinely just the funniest thing ever. But this case was pretty fun! I love that Franziska’s working with Interpol now, good for her! The characters were pretty cool (I really liked Cammy) and I thought a lot of it was pretty funny, too.
The Kidnapped Turnabout -- 6/10 The only reason this gets 6 points is because it introduced Kay Faraday, who is my chaos child that I love dearly, and also Shi-Long Lang, who I have a very complicated relationship with. It switches from love to hate frequently. It also introduced their totally epic theme songs, one of which is now my morning alarm. Otherwise, I really don’t like it that much. The case goes on for too long, and a lot of the characters are pretty annoying. I really hate Lance. I feel bad for Lauren, though. Ernest... Ugh. Ugh. The man makes me want to break things. Every time he mentions von Karma, he inevitably says something that makes my blood boil. And it brings back Wendy Oldbag, which is always bad news, and she was so fucking creepy, and... yeah. I enjoyed seeing Ema again, though! She seemed to be living her best life :)
Turnabout Reminiscence -- 9/10 This case had too much von Karma in it, and the fact that he went and called Edgeworth worthless right to his face made me so angry and upset... But! It is still a very good case! I really like Detective Badd, and Calisto... Calisto is very pretty and fun, but... yeah. Also! Baby Kay! Baby Kay is everything! And the sibling rights, they were everywhere! The case was just full of them! I love Miles and Franziska bickering like regular siblings. I love the scene with the Swiss rolls. I love Franziska getting between him and her dad. Sibling rights are so real.
Turnabout Ablaze -- 6/10 This case was pretty eventful. Not a favorite by any means, but still good. I thought it was a little too long, though, and the ending just really felt like it was dragging out too much. It got to the point that I wasn’t even fired up anymore, I was just kind of trying to get it all over with. Also, whether he meant it or not, Lang accusing Franziska of murder made me mad. But some of the twists were cool, even if I figured out most of them ahead of time... Also, Edgeworth getting really mad about Larry playing the Steel Samurai was hilarious, in a mean way. I felt a little bit bad for laughing.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth: Prosecutor’s Path
Turnabout Target -- 4/10 This one was kinda boring, to be honest. I liked seeing Shelly de Killer again, though, with his matching ice cream cone. And I liked Nicole. (I bet I know who her first mentor was...)
The Imprisoned Turnabout -- 5/10 This one also kinda bored me, unfortunately. Raymond ticked me off from basically the moment he walked onscreen, because sure, let’s blame Edgeworth for [checks notes] ah yes, being manipulated by Manfred von Karma since he was nine. Let’s do that. Nothing wrong with that at all. /dripping sarcasm Sebastian also ticked me off at first, but I’m warming up to him. Also, I was in love at first sight with Justine Courtney. [heart eyes] I am not embarrassed in the slightest to admit to it. She is amazing. Simon is really funny and I think it would’ve been hilarious if he was actually evil, but he was innocent, so... My blood ran cold when I found out the Berry Big Circus was involved, but thank god, it was only Regina. No Franziska yet. I’m really hoping Franziska will show up.
The Inherited Turnabout -- 8/10 I haven’t finished this one yet, but so far, I’ve been enjoying it, even if it torments me with sadness and anger. Once again, von Karma shortens my lifespan, but Gregory Edgeworth lengthens it. (I think it’s really funny that they got ProZD to voice him.) Raymond... I still don’t like Raymond. Though his eating the paper is funny. Also! Also! Katherine Hall! This game introduced two women in a row that I have absolutely fallen for, and I have zero complaints about this. They are incredible. Sebastian is really funny in this one and like I said I am really warming up to him. Yeah. That’s all I really have to say so far. Still no sign of Franziska...
I’m definitely excited to see where the other cases in this game will take me, and after that it will be time for Apollo Justice! I am looking forward to finally meeting the famous Klavier Gavin... But I am not at all looking forward to meeting Kristoph... Oh, well. I’ll live. Probably.
Thank you for reading all of this, haha! I have a lot of thoughts... Many thoughts head full (of Ace Attorney).

Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2 suit review
skipping ahead a bit to do this game, thank you @fam-account
6/10
now this is a nice suit, with fairly good colors. except for the fact that the buttons on the suit are set too low. if you notice they hang around the crotch to bellybutton area, where they should instead be in the bellybutton to chest area. plus there is NO DARTING ONCE AGAIN. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER EDGEWORTH. and the waistcoat. eehhhhhhhh. once again improper amount of buttons, and honestly it doesnt need lapels but its not too terrible of a style.
im pretending that the crabot doesnt exist okay. it doesnt exist
6/10
now time for the daddyworth
for a trench coat.... this isnt the best....
first off, trench coats should be slim cut, there should be no bulk since the style is made to make you look sleek. this coat is just slightly too big which you can tell thanks to the sagging around the belt area. also lets talk about the belt area. since where??? is his belt buckle???? wha- no just no, thats flimsy it will fall apart faster without one.
and with a heavy heart i must say that there is an improper amount of buttons
again
“but vi” you cry “what if its just the style!” if if was the style it wouldnt need a belt, since it has a belt it needs at least 2 more buttons below the belt for it to be proper
i added a point for managing to pull off a fedora
8/10
ayyyy now we are talking! god i can see why edgeworth is drawn to phoenix, he has the same style suit as his father! It looks to be really well tailored (and it has a properly done tie! nice!) the suit looks so smooth i just want to touch it ooh nice. The only issue i can see here is that the sleeves are just too big. you can tell by the way they dont pull back when gregory lifts his arm (this is the opposite of klaviers problem) even still its a nice suit
8/10
as an added bonus here is dead gregory! because i forgot about him last time
lmao
now its hard to see with all the blood and the fact that its in greyscale, but from what i can see this is a fairly good suit! its seems well cut, the style suits him, the pockets are properly done, i dont really have anything to complain about besides the dead body, its times like these where I wish the most that Manfred didn’t kill him
7/10
Speaking of manfred, he also appears in this game. Now why? you ask might i rate this lower than his last incarnation despite it being nearly identical. Well I do what I want thats why, and my standard for suits has risen too. The Lapels on this are huge and the details confuse me. Are they part of the fabric? Are they embroidered? What are they? Plus I still have no clue as to how the vest functons whatsoever,,,but added points for having an actual jabot and not edgeworths fake ass one.
Why does he look like an evil Beethoven
0/10
I want to die. Please god, take your cruel hand and strike me down where I stand.
Its so....muscley. Thanks! I hate it! Like? purple and orange, on a suit, tailored so tightly that you can see every individual muscle. what deviantart fetish artist designed this. Its so long too, and not in a good way like miles’s dd suit but in a bizarre dress like way. I hate it
5/10
eeeeeeeuuuuuuuughghhhhhhhhhh
ok first off, why roll up your sleeves that high with your suit jacket still on? just take off the jacket jfc. you’re gonna damage the suit. secondly, that cummerbund is waaay too high. it fucking hits his nipples oh my god. local dumbass has pants all the way up to his armpits, more at 10. At least he has the sense to wear a shawl lapel, looking as hes going for a white tie leaning style, and as an added bonus hes actually wearing a corsage that matches!
7/10
I love that tacky ass tie more than i should but its still ugly as all hell. and yet! the rest of the suit is good. crisp tailoring, proper amount of buttons (especially on the sleeves) the pants look perfect and i love the added pop of color by having the shirt be teal instead of white. this suit is so stupid thanks to the tie but i will die on this hill dont @ me alright. also he has!!!! a belt!!!! technically suits shouldnt have a belt since if they were tailored properly they wouldnt need one, but shut up i like belts
7/10
Yay! another corpse!!! alright so this is basically the same as the previous one, added point for nicer color scheme, removed point for lack of darting in the jacket
stop shooting the nice suits
5/10
oh come on. the suit is nice enough, very horse-ridingish but the main problem here is that its too large all over. the shoulders slouch, the jacket is too long, the pants too baggy, you really shoulnt have to roll up your sleeves that far. why is everyone allergic to darting here oh my god. plus the corsage(?) is in the wrong place, it should be in the area where they got shot at, i have no idea how she would even be wearing it unless she just tacked it on with safety pins and grit.
and boots arent my specialty, but those look uncomfortable as hell
a moment of silence for those who didnt count as suits enough to make the cut
as a special bonus
view her in all her beauty
my heart says 10/10 but my mind is giving her a 7
let me explain why. although the cloak is very nice (it seems catholic inspired, specifically based off of bishops and cardinals cementing her place as a holy figure of respect) the chest area is rather tight. since her appearance is based around nuns and bishops we really shouldnt be seeing so much of her chest details. the purpose of robes like these is to cover thy self as a form of modesty out of respect for god (to be fair she worships a different god than we know) but my point still stands. the rest of her outfit is fine, but her chest, as much as i like it, is not. my only other complaint is that im not sure how the sash stays up with how much its tilted to one side. all i can imagine is her hiking that thing up all day.

Anime Update 2
CLANNAD - Can’t believe I forgot to mention the weird ass Dango Family song on the end credits last time - that confounded the hell out of me and now I’m actually given context for it in the fucking series itself! I’d expected that as much as I’d expected the first episode’s ending to be a total cocktease (dick line delivery there, Nagisa!). Aside from that, the series is starting to hit a better stride compared to last time. Nagisa and Tomoyo are my favorites so far, I find myself detesting that little worm Sunohara, it’s always great to hear Hilary Haag’s distinctively high pitched voice in an anime role, and they tackled some complicated territory here: I was a bit appalled at Okazai’s angry, borderline abusive treatment of his own father, but then it’s revealed that the father used to be abusive towards him in the past, and now that he’s gone more docile and barely giving any real attention to Okazaki, Okazaki finds that even more painful to have to live with. But man, the place the episode chose to end...was just stupid.
Dragon Ball - We got more Pilaf gang goodness here, to the point where I think we got more of them than Goku. It’s a filler plot, but I like how we get reminded of what a hardcore warrior the Ox King used to be (the man is a one man army who can demolish tanks with his bare hands!) and how sweet and innocent Chi Chi used to be. I also enjoy how this anime-exclusive material first did the “two villain factions both at work towards the same goal but acting against each other” thing that would go on to make the Namek saga so captivating. On the other hand, the anime-exclusive material fucked up at the very start of this episode when Red (who I guess is Irish?) spoke about ruling the world even when no one else was there. That’s...not what he actually wants to use the Dragon Balls for, as it will later turn out. OOPS.
Toradora - The first two episodes were plentiful in humor, but the comedy in this one was off the charts largely due to Minori being a big focus here. She brightens up the scene whenever she’s around and is so adorable and endearing in her unabashed loopyness and constant positivity that I can actually see what Ryuji sees in her. Oh, and Taiga continues to crack me up too - Cassandra Lee Morris’ voice acting makes so many of her lines utterly hilarious.
Excel Saga - Much more coherent than last episode, though with this show that’s still not much. I wonder if the creators always planned for the Puuchu to be a recurring plot thread or they were meant as a one-off that they just couldn’t get enough of? Excel’s antics in this one were to die for, and I LOVE the total ambiguity of who Space Butler even was, what past he and Nabeshin shared together, why he was charged with protecting Hyatt, how he got abducted by the Puuchu in the first place, and where the fuck Ilpalazzo fit in there. It’s never elaborated on or explained, which adds both lasting intrigue and hilarity to the whole ordeal.
Ace Attorney - Miles Edgeworth is probably my favorite character in this series already based on what I know, and he really doesn’t disappoint in making for a worthy antagonist for Phoenix. Christopher Wehkamp actually does a great job as his voice in spite of the lack of a British accent, and Lindsay Seidel as Maya is starting to grow on me, as despite the overly child-like pitch, her performance does capture the character very well. Redd White (of BlueCorp) is an absolute prick. It’s not bad enough that he killed Mia and framed her sister for the murder, but now he’s shifted the blame onto Phoenix so Phoenix has to defend himself at his own trial? Was NOT expecting that! Can’t wait to see how Phoenix makes it out of this!
Nadja of Tomorrow - Well, Nadja is now a member of the Dandelion Troupe and on tour in Europe while hoping to find her mother. Didn’t expect that, in just the second episode, we’d see Lord Herman Preminger expositing exactly who Nadja’s family is, who her mother is in relation to that, who HE is in relation to that, and exactly why he wants Rosso and Bianco to steal Nadja’s brooch, but that happened. And the episode ended with Nadja still lost in London after the Black Rose just flew away, what the Hell was up with that? (Though I did laugh that it literally ended on Nadja calling him “BAKAAAAA!”) Oh, and as of right now, this show’s ED credits song and Toradora’s are in competition for which one is catchier.
Mobile Fighter G Gundam - Got more clarification about the Neo Colonies and the Gundam Fight from the newly introduced announcer, so that was nice. The episode that followed was as endearingly stupid and stereotypical as I’d expected it to be. Chibodee’s backstory and dedication to his American Dream was ridiculous yet he took it so seriously and with such sincere conviction to those ideals that I bought it and was rooting for him! Well done, show!
AND (Saturdays allow me time enough for two shows!)
SSSS Gridman - So, Gridman is this superhero-like robot guy and he needs this amnesiac red haired boy (Otonashi 2.0, I guess?) to bond with him so that they can fight Kaijus that are created by this mysterious evil Kaiju Sculptor and their creepy-ass sentient computer guy, and the fact that Kaijus even exist is apparently common knowledge but it still sucks when one actually goes on the attack. Was this real? I honestly think this wouldn’t be something I’d consider returning to beyond this first episode had they not pulled that stinger scene, with the totally burned down school...suddenly totally back in-tact as though no damage from the Kaiju attack had ever happened. Say whaaat? Now THAT is how you pull a narrative hook!

My friend of mine made me spend 30$ on a lawyer game so I made her pay back by making her listen to my live reaction to it. I did a bunch of doodles
Before 2.4. Mostly done with 2.3 but none of them are related to the case.
haha I really liked Edgeworth. I was upset when he left
I did all of these without references okay
but this is a follow up to the first one.
I remembered the Edgy in the wild joke randomly and drew it
I THOUGHT HE WOULD BE SO UPSET WITH ME I really did. There are a few more of these I think.
this tiny thing
I was very mad with Mia even with Bardic’s explanation.
I keep drawing Maya goofy
forgot what this is here for. I think it has to do with the boob problem.
That is Lulu. Praise her.
time for stuff relevant to the case but nothing to do with the characters. I thought she hated me for this reason but didn’t everybody
POOR PHOENIX I knew Edgy wasn’t gone though because he’s on the cover of the game and hasn’t really shown up yet also the bonus case at the end of the first game
I was actually talking about 1-5 in this one but it seems to work for a lot of cases.
PHOENIX SEEMED SO SAD I kept on trying to reassure him that it wasn’t his fault even if edgy did kill himself it was FRANZ’ DAD WHO SHE SHOULD STILL HATE
I threatened to call the cops on her but I was never able to. I was really upset with her.
ONTO 2-4
I had previous knowledge that Matt was evil and nothing else that spoiler-y. I hated him for all most of the case.
Ladyverse Juan and Sha appear a few times in these 2-4 doodles.
Phoenix having a really tough time. Edgy’s “suicide” being cause by him but he has to not acknowledge it and get to his job, raising Pearl, getting Maya KIDNAPPED, worrying about Matt, Edgy coming back and Phoenix is under enough stress and has to be angry at something (I MADE A NOTE ABOUT HOW IT SEEMS LIKE EDGY KNOWS PHOENIX IS UNDER A LOT OF STRESS AND HE’S BEING NICER TO HIM BECAUSE OF THAT) and Von Karma (just her whip tho), and the assassin and... I really wanted to give him some cookies to make him feel better.
Me going through Zarla’s very old 2-4 doodles: It seems we have very different opinions on Edgeworth in this case
silly Sha you can’t face palm without fingertips
Sha from a distance: DISTAL PHALANGES
goodbye Juan scarf wonder who he’ll give it to
sofar I sadly didn’t have a reason to hate him in game yet and it went on for a very long time so at one point I let him go for a bit to focus on other things in the game.
I really didn’t wanna give him that rope though. the next doodle is me continuing this one!
DAMMIT A ZOMBIE
I stopped playing the game a bit to doodle my regrets away
I MISSED OLD MATT now I don’t
I tried to warn them
alright now that me regret doodles are done
I felt really bad for Juan... His life was going terribly and he just wanted to get back at an evil man but because he didn’t think it through well enough even if he wasn’t killed he still probably wouldn’t failed...I just feel really bad for him...
Now we’re at the “FUCK OFF MATT” state where I just hate him. haha.
because it was really late I didn’t doodle much else... I have my live reaction to the court thing somewhere and I still need to get it.
After cort and after the credits I did one more doodle
EVERYBODY IN THIS CASE IS SO MISERABLE. Phoenix (reasons stated already), Maya (kidnapped, kept in dark closet, starved), Peal (THIS CASE IS SO DEPRESSING NO WONDER PHOENIX TAKES HER TO SO MANY FUN PLACES), Juan (stated), Adrian (she’s suicidal), and now Franz... When she was shot I was actually shocked at how upset I was. I mean, when the trial started and Edgy was there instead I felt this huge weight LIFTED from there being no whip but I was still upset! We find her and talk to her more and by the end she actually ends up CRYING in front of Miles AND PHOENIX! D:
I’m still adding on doodles because im still playing the 3rd and 4th game. yaaaay

(pictures with captions)
In which Miles discovers the greatest Ace Attorney lesson, which is that women get the last word on everything, including whether or not they’re your assistant.
I was kinda expecting Oldbag but not Ema :D ! What is she doing here??!! Okay she stalked Edgeworth right up to his kidnapping place but that’s not the worst thing anyone has ever done to him.
OLDBAG IS A GREAT CHARACTER FIGHT ME even if her testimonies always give me headaches.
The whole Badger Family thing is just;...so surreal. It honestly freaks me out a bit. I miss the time where the Blue Badger was just the weird wriggling piece of woord garding the police precinct.
Oh yeah Kay has a gadget called Little Thief and WHAT THE FUCK THIS THING IS AMAZING!!!
HOW COME NO ONE IS ASKING MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT IT??? THAT THING IS STRAIGHT OUT OF SCIENCE-FICTION!!
Seriously though, how come no one is questioning Kay’s claim to be the Yatagarasu? I tought at first it was just because it’s a pretty ridiculous claim and everyone dismissed it as such, but then she produced a device that allows you to recreate ENTIRE SCENES AND HIGHLY REALISTIC PEOPLE AND DETAILS. Why is no one thinking “okaayyyyy, that’s exactly the kind of device a Great Thief would use” ??
Fucking useless police.
Also we met a maid who’s in love with Lance (the kidnapping victim) and is...a bit of a dummy, if you want my opinion. Okay, I admit, my opinion of her is quite biased because she has one of these lollipop rings and IT FREAKS ME OUT.
I hate candies and lollipops and everything like that.
I forgot to mention that most of the investigation so far is to find out who killed the old butler that was found dead, and that poor Meekins was accused of killing.
I bet the butler was involved in the kidnapping. It’s always the butler.
And between that and the letter from the Tender Lender (coucou Viola o/), I suspect an engineered kidnapping to get some cash from Papa Amano. Fucking rich people.
AND THAT FUCKING THING IS BACK!!!!
