Cailleadh ; the Lost
Lost & Found
Siblings, similar but not twins. One lost, one found. One remembered, one forgotten. Both dangerous, both malice-fueled.
Tucked away in the twisting winding ice tunnels of the ice prison of Ghost’s Edge. They lurk, they hide, they avoid their jailor. They know not of each other’s presence. They never see one another, have not discovered one another.
Let it stay this way. Let them wander, let them stay unknown. Their magic is dangerous, unstable, twisted with Plague shot through the Ice…

WORLDBUILDING WEDNESDAY!!!
You know the drill! Come check out my lair and then ask me questions about it!! All of the dragons in the first two tabs have some sort of lore associated with them, but the ones higher up on the page tend to be the ones with more story relevance.
SUMMARY:
Deep in the Ashfall Waste, just a day's flight south from Cinderslag, stand the ruins of a long-abandoned factory complex. Nobody knows exactly what happened there - apparently the employees were just told to evacuate one day and never allowed back inside - and the site has become the source of many local legends. Some say it's haunted, swearing that they've seen shadows moving past the windows, while others are positive that it's all part of a government cover-up.
But the real truth may be stranger than any ghost story.
Unbeknownst to most of the flight, a small clan of dragons has recently made the ruins their home. They've been living inside for nearly three years now, building a town of scrap and salvage from the rusted machinery, and only a few unlucky outsiders know of their existence at all. Welcome, dear visitors, to Firebird's Roost!
The Roost was created as a secret safe haven for dragons who felt abused or rejected by society, a place where they could live in peace without all the pressures of the outside world weighing on them. Most of its population consists of blacksmiths and other workers who were sick of being mistreated by the forgemasters, but dragons from other flights are hardly uncommon. Anyone can join the Firebird family!
Not everything is as it seems, though. The clan's newest residents - Cheddar and Parmesan - have noticed a few things that feel strange about their new home. Why are the lower floors off-limits? Why was this factory abandoned in such a hurry? And why does the town's founder seem so determined to keep them there? As the summer solstice draws closer, so too does the dawning of a terrible truth...

So. I've seen Permababies told myself they seem expensive and that I don't have an excuse to have one....
Well, I've been convinced that I should have at least one.
That's Pincushion. I'm currently focusing on getting the Breed Scroll for her... I don't yet have access to the genes I require, but I can at least get the Breed changed.
The lore is so Rogue/Exiled Shadow Mage turned a Pincushion into a living dragon that is stuck in hatchling form. Her lore is a work in progress. I'm thinking that Banks (a completely different G1) has taken her in and is acting as her mother.
Keep in mind that it's a work in progress, so things may change...

spire ᛜ false amphithere ᛜ beast wyrm ᛜ king of the roost
finally had the time to tackle this lad's reference; next up is a custom skin for him to match his headcanon! Lore rambles and general discussion of him / his spot in the lair beneath the cut to keep length down q wq
Spire is a false amphithere, technically a beast wyrm, that has settled and taken over one of the lair outposts. Most of his body is furred with thick boar bristle, but his chestplate is heavier armoured scale. Like most outpost heads, he bears the emblem of the joined clans on his wings and garb, although the over-ornamentation is mostly his magpie-like mate's preference.
The 'koi' on his wings is only ever visible under direct sunlight, where the fish-like scaling on his wings is most iridescent. Otherwise, it's just yet another glossy protective layer over his already armoured hide.
Beast wyrms are usually territorial and brutish, usually lone-wanderers due to conflict with others of their species. They rarely breed, which means their numbers are low, and quite a few of them will integrate themselves in mixed-species lairs that better suits the beast side of their bloodlines. Boars, bears, ox, and bison tend to be the most plentiful beast lines, with other species spotted scarcely. There's very little understanding on how they can continue their bloodlines or how new species are still popping up, and there are theories that they're instead created through corrupted interference. It very well could be both.
Spire's nature is a benefit to him where he is now, having quickly charmed most of the chattering amphitheres over within days of his first landing within their borders and ended up being the prize gem of their matriarch within a season. The amphitheres are chaotic and fickle creatures, and as such, they had strained relations with neighbouring clans until Spire was able to better translate between the groups. While the neighbouring dragon clans simply wanted access to the amphithere grounds for study and ( hopefully ) trade, the amphithere's distrusting nature made it near impossible to conduct anything of the sort safely. With the amphitheres now well-fed due to an influx of ley magics and their society a little more organised, they've been able to progress their roost to the point of joining a proper network. Most who venture into the roost know that they only have one chance, if they overstep they will be tossed either by an amphithere denizen, or Spire himself.
He's unable to fly for long distances, both due to his shorter wingspan compared to most flying-beasts, and the added weight of the boar bristling. He is able to glide, climb, crawl, and charge at quite a good speed though, which means most of his fighting is done on-ground after intentionally disabling his opponents' wings somehow or hindering their ability to fly at all. Like most dragon-folk, he has the ability to breathe 'fire' but it requires quite a lot of fuel to do so and is used sparingly. It takes his body at least twenty seconds to get a devastating flame charged and it's visibly obvious when he's preparing for it as the scaling on his chestplate will flare up, which means it's not something used without thought or desperation. He is powerful, but there are always limits and calls to that power. It's why he agreed to engage in the political alliances for the good of the roost, at least then if they do encounter a threat where he's limited in his abilities, the allied clans have promised to step in.
He has five functioning digits on his forelimbs, but they're limited in dexterity and mostly used as anchoring grapples or simple motion. Given the shape of his wings, it's difficult for him to turn his wrists without moving his entire wing, which means a lot of fine-tune work is often left to a different dragon. His hindlimbs only have two functioning digits, with a pair of curved claws and a pair of dewclaws for gripping behind them.
Although he can technically eat anything, his favourite foods are tubers and fresh melons, but he also enjoys just gnawing on bones. The amphitheres are unable to eat anything outside of raw ley energy and flesh, so any growing produce within their territory tends to be just for him, a few of the locals specifically hiding away small melon farms in corners of the cliffs away from where younglings may try to play with them.
Most of the allied clans call all citizens of the roost 'amphitheres,' which has lead to some confusion as not all dragons in the roost are technically amphitheres. Despite the differences in species though, socially and culturally, all species are amphitheres and equal as long as the same goals are kept. It's an odd place, but it somehow works.
l m a o none of this is organised but mmmm I just love this lad qwq

Prosper, Hewn City historian and diplomat. Pre-Shatter, there were two Beastclan societies -- one Talonok and one Longneck -- that built most of the "ruins" of the Sunbeam Ruins. Unfortunately, this area was one of the hardest hit by the first appearance of dragons, being the birthplace of the Emperors. The Talonok, who lived mostly north of the river, never really regained a presence in the area until modern times, drawn in by the newer metropolis of Lanternlea. But south of the river, the ancient Longneck society still maintains a presence in the Hewn City, despite the cursed remains of early Fourth Age magic cast there and the Shade it attracts to this day. Prosper acts as a liaison between local governments inside the City and the councils in Lanternlea, and is generally an enthusiast of exploring the ruin's mysteries. His frequent exposure to Shade remnants seems to have dulled the yellow of his eyes.

I usually delay writing lore even worse when a dragon needs some art or a cool icon thanks to super cool placeholder images in the bio codes I'm using, but I finally managed to complete one today! Meet Baning! This Gaoler fugitive is on a mission to bring radio technology to Sornieth and continue his father's legacy.

@rooooooossssssse Cause the ranch wasn’t the reason—I don’t even think Marc believes that. Since the doc, he barely brings it up. For me 2022 Marc is fun as hell when talking about Rosquez because he has this “move on but I’m setting the record straight” vibe. Really think the ranch incident and the whole infamous narrative abaut the race track record around it? That’s just Marc being a dick with his comments (as he shuld). The whole ranch’s thing whit context seem less important in terms of their right or fight cause , Marc didn’t even win that race, and there are multiple accounts of what really went down. Yes they were trying to kill one and another and went crazy but like for all acaunts and videos seems ther were having fun for example, Lacave (who I usually take with a grain of salt but he has a great rosquez article that is well documented and has good sources) wrote a pretty solid piece about the incident. According to that, Uccio was already mad at Marc and tried to badmouth him to Vale, saying, “He comes here with his mechanics, etc.” But even during the ranch race, Vale dismissed most of that drama.
I think what really happened is that Vale probably felt a bit weird seeing Marc show up with his own mechanic to what was supposed to be an amateur-style race. That’s all. The real fallout didn’t start there. It was the result of everything else that year the incidents, the escalating tension, and the whole story we already know from different perspectives.
In my opinion, Vale started to distance himself from Marc(and others people like idk his ex ) because, after the first test and early races in 2015, he realized that this was his year his last real shot to win a championship and finally claim that 10th title. By then, the Vale that Marc met in 2013–14, who was more relaxed and less focused, was kinda gone 2015 Vale was much different, and completely centered on the championship. That’s why he probably felt more vale more distant and acted the way he did like probably at the beginning it wasn’t just about Marc or the fears it was about the pressure of knowing this was his final chance to really get the 10th.
#I would put the surge but I be honest is really late 😭 and did this while eating my hair to dry to finally make my blow out#sorry to much info but also this is mostly my opinion from the docs their interiors and articles etc the I have read#that’s who I take the 2015 but idk other have dlfwneet opinions etc#fr we would never now 😭#also sorry op if came rude i just idk wanted to share I fought cause yea the whole ranch thing#is a piece of their lore I’m obsessed#valentino rossi#marc márquez#rosquez#ranch lore

Looking to buy a lore Dragon! Found!
Now that I have your attention, a bit more details, i am looking for either an adult dragon or a hatchling of lore parents who can fill the role of the Permababy keeper. I have an insane amount of Perma babies and I would like one dragon to be the main caregiver for those without parents in the clan.
They should a be a bit of a Mary Poppins, as in both kind and soft with the kids but also firm with my rascals if needed.
I have a few kids with Carnivore who like to chew and nibble on everything including other hatchlings.
If its an adult I am completley open to ideas as to why they are now becoming a 24/7 babysitter, meaning I don't care if their background was soldier or assassin or maybe they just come from a giant family and are used to it.
If you say due to X event they are now moving to my liar to become a fulltime nanny I am oky with it.
Looks wise I am open to everything however you must be okay with me potentially changing their breed/genes to fit my own likings better plus my baby imps are over 3 meter long and the baby obelisks 150kg heavy so I would like the dragon to be already big enough to handle it or change to a breed that is big enough.
I am posting this to tumblr before the forums because I know there are quite some lore lairs here and I feel like it's easier to connect.
Even if you don't have a fitting dragon I would appreciate a reblog so more people can see it!

Grthskyn ; the madness driven
Grthskyn, the multi-headed many-eyed beast who watches always. Its voice echoes thricefold, tone varied and never the same. A scent like old books and damp caverns permeate the air around it. Many eyes watch and watch, observing and piercing.
It is large, it is unnatural, is it even a dragon? Unknown, unsure, the Grthskyn simply stays tucked away in libraries. Hidden amongst books that make no sense, sigils and runes twisting like living things on pages that turn whisper-soft in your claws. A heavy presence prickles at the back of your neck, but you never quite are able to manage a glance at the being that lurks.
Until you do, and then its many eyes seem to lock you into place, whispers bubbling up in your mind until they become a deafening cacophony drowning out your very own thoughts--
Not many escape the Grthskyn unscathed. Fewer escape sane. Be cautious of this beast, this eldritch thing...

'Coatl are one of the few species to have a native tongue. They hum a series of different pitches at varying intervals to communicate. The result is far from lovely to other dragon species, as sour notes and incomprehensible melody grates on their senses.'
anyway this is what I think the coatl language sounds like
