You know not to be an “old man who yells at cloud” on main but BACK IN MY DAY...

Finding horror and creepypasta on the internet or anywhere else as a kid felt like something secret, something forbidden, it felt like you were reading or watching something you weren’t supposed to see, like you were getting away with something. That’s where playground stories and rumors sprang from; it was a kids version of telling stories by the campfire.

Nowadays horror is marketed directly to kids with the rise of “Mascot Horror”

You all know what I mean: Things like Bendy and the Ink Machine, Hello Neighbor, and of course the modern state of Five Nights at Freddy’s. All of them are vying to be the next Goosebumps and there’s such a distinct lack of sincerity in the whole affair. 

Or, if not them, then it’s horror characters being gentrified by the collective internet to become “mascotified” as it were: Like Trevor Henderon’s creations Cartoon Cat and Siren Head going from unsettling works of horror art trying to evoke the feeling of Found Footage to being watered down, sanitized, and turned into the face of YouTube thumbnails to feed the endless maw of the algorithm machine

Or like how the same crowd turned The Backrooms into the SCP Foundation with a new set-dressing. Or like how FNF modders will literally descend on any horror property like a swarm of locusts, pick it clean of any scary element, and force it into an arrow-button simulator. I’m truly not trying to come off as gatekeepy or saying kids should stay out of horror, but there’s just this lack of organic discovery that I feel is lost today when it’s just watered down and spoon-fed to the younger crowd so blatantly.

Discovering horror used to feel like it was something forbidden, now I walk down the isle of Target and see horror toys lining the shelves and even my best friends youngest who’s like five years old knows who Freddy Fazbear is.

Horror isn’t “dead”, but a certain aspect of it certainly feels that way.

Who am I?

Hello! I'm Cartoon Buffoon and I write stuff, draw and watch cartoons, there's a chance you've could've of read one of my works if you read one shots on AO3 that feature Oswald The Lucky Rabbit since I have a tendency to write content relating to the rabbit yet I do delve in other fandoms. I love old animation from the 1920s-60s yet I also do indulge in more modern stuff as well, I'm a buffoon for cartoons as my name implies.

I'm AroAce and the type who's attraction is reserved for fictional characters so you'll often see me simping for them. My gender is uhh... Complicated? I don't know what I am although I currently identify as gender fluid although I do refer to myself as trans as well🏳️‍⚧️. Pronouns are He/She/They/anything else really! Toon is usually the nickname I'm most comfortable with online yet you may also call me Toon Buffoon or TB for short.

First and foremost I'm neurodivergent and have a whole list of mental issues including crippling anxiety so if you see me blindly liking your posts that's just me really liking your art and being too scared to interact in any other way. Be a tad bit patient with me if you at any point try and message me as well... I take a bit to get the courage to respond. I should also note I'm a multishipper and a giant simp for fictional cartoon characters (self-shipper to put it bluntly). Anything that's black and white and has that rubberhose aesthetic is probably a character I'm attracted too although I won't really talk about that much. There's other characters of course yet more often than not you'll see me liking toons. Expect really anything from this account as I just do whatever when I'm bored, idk I don't got a life. More often than not though I'll be focusing on creating content for my favorite characters weather it's my using my bad art skills to draw or writing fanfiction about them.

To sum myself up: I'm mainly a lover of the obscure or forgotten while trying to create works or content to bring attention to my favorite things while also just trying to keep myself together physically and mentally. Heya I'm new here and I'm very nervous but I really like your writing and I'm hoping I'm not bothering but,,,

If you don't mind, could you give me a matchup with yandere fnf, creepypasta, or eddsworld? Any gender is alright,,,

I'm a 5"8 enby and chubby with dyed pink hair, an infj, libra, and LOVE anything valentines related or pink (not to mention I often collect plushies). I'm into a lot of stuff like tabletop rpgs, theme park rides/history, and horror related things. My favorite artists at the moment are Mitski, Lemon Demon, and Tally Hall! I'm also a theatre kid, so I tend to listen to and sing songs from musicals I enjoy. I don't sing often, mostly for myself.

I draw almost constantly as an outlet and listen to music a lot, and I try to be as kind to others as I can even if they're not kind to me. I'm more often than not the mom friend despite how sensitive I tend to be, and I tend to be a really big people pleaser due to stuff I've been through in the past. I have a difficult time saying no or asking for help, making it unfortunately easy to walk all over me.

For Friday Night Funkin, Your Yandere Matchup Is…Servente!

I believe Sarvente would be a Possessive, Manipulative, Overprotective, Mildly Delusional and Mildly Controlling Yandere.

Sarvente is her usual self, just 100 times worse. She absolutely adores how you enjoy Valentines and Pink Themed items, especially with your plushies and finds it cute and innocent; which makes her quite protective of you that it becomes overbearing, specifically towards anyone she deems “unholy.” Which also brings us to her being mildly delusional, convinced that not everyone is exactly good nor evil, so she has to have a reason for being with you. Sarvente knows this is wrong, but she’s doing this for your safety.

Her Overprotectiveness stems from wanting to get people into a better place, which, in this case, is a corruption of that. Sarvente insists on going out with you whenever you go out or, at the very least, give her a text or a call every once in a while or else she’ll come to you instead. Trust me when I say Sarvente is coming from good intentions, just overbearing, as I said before.

This leads to her being Mildly Controlling, if you fail to give her a call/text to know where you are, who you’re hanging out with, etc. that it even makes Ruv worried. However, as far as he is concerned, Ruv won’t interject on what’s happening, knowing that if he broke The Vow, both he and Sarv would die. Additionally, he has a hunch that if he does shove himself in between whatever relationship you have with her, he’ll probably have severe consequences from Sarv.

Anyways, Sarvente can and will push you to hang out with her more, positive toxicity if you will. Should you refuse, however, She’ll remove any potential competition from the picture, including family, friends, and as far as to remove pets/animals from your life, if any at all. Don’t think that she enjoys this as this leaves a bitter taste in her mouth, leaving her to kidnap you and keep you close instead, slowly deluding herself that you two are match made in Heaven, ironically speaking.

Sarvente absolutely adores how short you are compared to her, which is 7 feet and 5 inches by the way, but in a way that’s affectionally teasing. But since I see that it’s hard to say “No” for you, she probably doesn’t see that you’re uncomfortable with anything until it’s already too late, immediately wanting to apologize or make it up to you in some way, shape, or form. On the flip slide, she’s more than willing to come to your defense whenever someone bullies you in some way, even if you can’t say “No” as easily as others.

She doesn’t mind you singing or drawing somewhere in the Church, she finds it quite Lovely! She encourages you to sing more openly, so of course she always asks if she could sing with you to help you with that. If not, Sarv would respect your wishes and leave it at that. If you do allow her to, then she’s beyond thrilled! Sarv usually takes the lead or sings for you, in case you don’t feel like singing, or generally just hangs out with you, even though your tastes are quite different from here, but accepting all the same.

Speaking of acceptance, Sarv doesn’t mind you being Enby and Chubby, claiming that she loves you either way. However, as old as she is, Sarv slips up from time to time on your pronouns, but quickly uses your proper pronouns to not make you upset. This also includes making you feel loved for your body, especially when someone makes a negative comment about it.

Sarvente, as a whole, wants the absolute best for you, even though it includes pushing things to its edge and limit, including you, unintentionally speaking. If you’re careful with stepping on these eggshells, then you’re going to have a grand time with holding two sides of life.
