I'm one week into not having any AC for three weeks and I feel like shit's about to get real interesting.

On the plus, the changes I'm making are working -- last night's five hours of sleep was thanks to a portable air conditioner (really just a misting fan but it's working well when aimed directly at me) and being able to open a window in the bedroom.

The cats are still acclimating; Deebs generally doesn't sleep on the bed except in winter, but now she's sleeping deep in the closet where the evil fan can't get her. Polk meanwhile usually sleeps tucked between my chest and a body pillow, but she sleeps on top of the duvet so she can make biscuits to her heart's content. Since I'm sleeping without blankets or a shirt, she's super restless and doesn't want to settle, and when she does she kneads her claws directly into me. I also can't open the windows too wide, because I'm terrified Polk's going to do one of her acrobatic scentmarking flips, take out the screen, and fall to her doom, so the window is only open more than a crack when I'm in the room and alert enough to shoo her away when she gets too close to the window.

I think tonight might be an occasion for either a weed edible or some Nyquil. At least the temperature is going to be lower for most of today.

Hi! I hope you're having a great day! Also I'm so sorry for the hateful anon, I wish they would leave you alone. In addition, I wish everyone would stop making assumptions about idols and their sex lives. Being an idol doesn't make them pure, they are adults and can do what they want. On the other hand, being an adult doesn't mean that you are sexually active. Everyone moves at their own pace and prioritizes different things in life. I'm an ace (asexual), I'm sure some idols and other famous people are too. I don't understand why people are so sure either way?

Unfortunately it’s part of being a celeb. People get a small glimpse of your life so then they think they are entitled to it all. I want a celeb to get so fed up one day and be like “you want to know everything? Here you go. Here’s what I eat in a day. A picture of my bowels. Do they look ok? Do I need more fiber? Here’s all I have in my work itinerary. I sat in traffic for this long. Here’s my FitBit results. Anything else you wanna know?” I could totally see Dakota Johnson doing that.

And while it’s part of the celeb/ idol life, that doesn’t mean it’s right. Jungkook has been sexualized since his debut at 17 years old. There were some magazine interviews (I think Japanese) where he stated how he was uncomfortable about the sexualization at that young of an age. And he got a crazy amount of sasaeng noonas because of it. There are a lot of YouTube videos where you can see the fear on his face when he spots one in a crowd. I think I might have reblogged stuff about this yearsssss ago. If not you can for sure find those videos on YT.

Got our new bench. It’s comfortable and the perfect height for short people. He just has to powder the area for ants. It's quite hot and humid, but nice. Today's storm is all thunder and no rain, at least so far. The only unfortunate thing is that the planes are plentiful as usual. The bench is going to be by the AC, though, so when it's running, I won't hear them. I'll bring my phone out most of the time to play on and also listen to music.

We saw the Barbie movie yesterday, and we both agreed it was stupid. He watched the whole thing, but I gave up after 12 minutes.

Since it had been about a month since we last went to a fast food place, we went to KFC yesterday. I expected to be tired today because of it, but I'm not. I guess fried chicken is a little healthier than the burgers we used to get, and I didn't have many of the fries because they weren't that good.

My schedule has been making these mad two-hour jumps lately, so I'm keeping a log of my wake-up times for the next couple of weeks so he can adjust the program that helps predict when to schedule appointments. Looking at my Fitbit history, it seems I've been sleeping closer to eight hours rather than seven, especially since getting the new bed.

A couple of nights ago, I had a dream about being so worried about inflation. Last night, however, I got to have some fun dreams for a change. I've never been a bird person, but I had a parakeet, and I would draw figure eights on the table, and it would happily chase my hand. Rats do that, but I don't know if birds do.

In another dream, I had a large guinea pig, and every time I would make a tapping sound on a tabletop or something, it would leap up into my arms with affection.
