context; pierro, who found you as a little girl all alone in the snow and came to the assumption that you were left and abandoned here on his walk towards his work. He couldn’t just leave you there all alone to die from the sheer cold, so he brings you to his work, and tries to get any information out of you. You’re too young and small to say anything, but comes to the conclusion with the constant crying, you were indeed abandoned.

Also, imagine the work place is also their home or wtv and they havé rooms (basically the Tsaritsa’a castle)

Pierro, who doesn’t care if you call him by his name or ‘ dad’ when you start to grow up, but he can’t deny the small happy feeling in his chest when he hears you call him dad.

Pierro, who is not always physically there due to work and being away frequently, but tries his best to spend time with you during all his free time.

Pierro, who starts to realize that he has a lot to teach you once you enter high school, but figured maybe he should get one of the female-harbingers to talk to you about uh, certain, stuff

Pierro, who makes sure to be very protective of you and always has someone watching over you. Sometimes he tends to be overprotective when you wanna go out to certain places, but get one of the Harbingers or even his boss to talk to him and he’ll probably change his mind.

Capitano, who always found you absolutely adorable ever since you were brought to the workplace and would coo under his helmet

Capitano, who lets you play with his helmet when he has to take care of you while the others are too busy with work.

Capitano, who would give you piggy back rides once you were a bit taller and older so you wouldn’t easily fall off his back.

Capitano, who is also just as overprotective as Pierro, but he can’t help but let you go out when you plead with your adorable puppy eyes. As long as he knows where you are at all times, you’re free.

Colombina, who would sing you lullabies fo sleep whenever you had trouble sleeping- especially on the first night you arrived, too scared to fall asleep.

Colombina, who would sing karaoke with you on some fun nights, even if it was Barbie songs or whatever childhood shows the others made you watch.

Colombina, who surprisingly, was the first to teach you how to read given her love for reading you bedtime stories whenever Pierro was away.

Dottore, who being fully honest, didn’t have much of a care for you in the world. It’s one day when little you is clinging to the fabric of his pants, little hands up in the air and grabbing the air, he can’t help but pick you up and hold you.

Dottore, who grabs your wrist with Pantalone as they hold it under the sink after your kindergarten teacher told Pierro you held hands with a boy. They had to wash his touch off of you. Cooties, you know?

Dottore, who helps you ace every single science assignment and test all throughout middle school and high school.

Pulcinella, who made a promise to himself and whatever god was out there that he’d be a second father to you the moment he heard that you were abandoned.

Pulcinella, who instead of teaching you to read like Colombina, teaches you math to make sure you don’t fall behind in the difficult subject, and always helps you with your homework. If you take a liking to politics in high school, he’ll be happy to teach you the basics and join him for his daily life as the mayor.

Pulcinella, who does his job as mayor and makes sure to find you the top ranked daycare, elementary, middle and high school in all of Snezhnaya. Money wise don’t matter, especially to all of them.

Scaramouche, who also didn’t give one single shit about you when you came and was a lot more stubborn than Dottore. It’s not until probably a lot longer later, when you come back from daycare crying about how kids bullied you for being adopted, when he realizes you’re just like him- the both of were you abandoned.

Scaramouche, who when is alone with child you, likes to hide his face behind his hands and opens them with a saying of “peek-a-boo!”. If not alone, he’s kind enough to let you play with his hat.

Scaramouche, who realizes that a child was able to let him soften up a bit, and that you gave him a new family.

Scaramouche, who teams up with Childe to make sure that absolutely NO ONE would defile you, and if someone did, Childe can make hassle of them.

Sandrone, who makes you little trinkets and baby toys when your first introduced to all the Harbingers.

Sandrone, who is usually the one to change Capitano or Pierro’s minds on their usual overprotectiveness.

Sandrone, who makes sure to protect you from the horrors of the world while growing up. She makes sure everything is age perfect for you, such as baby-proofing all the sharp edges when you were younger, she makes sure you don’t hear any of the subordinates being yelled at so you don’t get scared, and she sometimes joins in with Childe and Scaramouche to make sure no one defiles you.

Sandrone, who’s main goal will forever be to protect your innocence, even if it eventually gets ruined.

Signora, who is actually top on the Big Sister list. Like Sandrone, she wants to protect your innocence, but also reminds you that the world is not pure, and many people out there will want to ruin you.

(since this is modern, I’d like to say her and Childe are close to the same age, so she’s in her senior year when you’re in middle school)

Signora, who starts to give you friend advice once you enter middle school, because she’s had her fair share of deal of fake friends all through her years of middle school and high school.

Signora, who also gives you fashion advice or dresses you up for school every morning because lord knows Pierro’s fashion sense is horrible. She’s in her last year of high school (senior), so she’s seen all the good and bad fashion trends which means she’ll know just what’s right for you.

Signora, who is also the one who tried to get Capitano and Pierro to calm their overprotectiveness, but even she sometimes lets them win when she has a bad feeling about some high school party you want to go to.

Signora, who is your shoulder to cry on if a boy or girl ever breaks your heart. She is the big sister who tells you the no’s and yes’ of high school- no certain photos to men because they’re monsters at this age, no starting problems for the fun of it, but do make sure to have fun and if you’re dragged in a problem, finish it.

Pantalone, who spoils you ever since the first day you were introduced to them. He somehow beats Sandrone since he buys every single toy you’d point at in shops or see on ads.

Pantalone, who continues to spoil you through your years of aging as it would ascend from baby toys to fake jewelry, clothes, eventually real jewelry and makeup. He did want to give you real jewelry when you were little, but Dottore had to remind him you were a baby and would probably break it. Or eat it.

Pantalone, who glares at any guy you’ve taken an interest in. If instead of a guy it’s a girl, Arlecchino will take care of them if they break your heart.

Pantalone, who gives you money for literally every time you want to go out during your high school years. Movies, mall, trips- literally anything. It doesn’t matter how much, if you want 20$ he’ll give you 200$.

Pantalone, who did indeed turn on the sink and watched as Dottore grabbed your wrist and held it under the sink to wash off the touch of a little boy who held your hand in kindergarten.

Pantalone, who looks online or in stores with you and Signora for dresses when your homecoming and prom comes up. When he sees Signora looking at a dress she’d like for herself, he’ll buy it. He has to spoil his girls, and maybe the men coworkers if they’re being nice.

Arlecchino, who treats you just as any other kid in the orphanage she watches over, but she has a bit more of a soft spot for you.

Arlecchino, who also wants to protect your innocence, but decides instead that you need to know the horrors of the world and peoples real intentions. She did tell you all this at the age of 2 but all you did was angle your small little head to the side while Sandrone scolded her.

Arlecchino, who truthfully snd sadly, is hardly ever there, but if she ever sees something that reminds her of you on her work trips, she’ll make sure to buy it.

Arlecchino, who is not afraid to punch any man or women who tries to hurt you in any way.

Childe, who is probably the best big brother aside from Pantalone. He joined the Fatui when you were 11 and he was 14, so you two got along very easily and were constantly together.

Childe, who would pull pranks with you on the others but Dottore or Sandrone were quick to catch on with whatever you two would create and Pierro would end up lecturing you both.

Childe, who records literally everything the two of you do, whether it be sneaking out to go to parties, breaking something in the workplace or pranks you created. He has a lot of blackmail on you, comrade.

Childe, who promises you that whatever happens in high school, stays there, unless it’s horrible to the point he has to get your father involved.

Childe, who is in his last year (senior) while you’ve just started high school (freshman) and he threatens all the seniors to make sure no one looks at you in the wrong way because 1, it would probably be a felony given they’re all 18 and 2, the men in his grade are disgusting.

Childe, who once (not once he’s done it a bunch of times) beat up a guy in your grade for looking at you the wrong way. He had to stop when it was on the verge of expulsion, but he thinks the message got across to all the men. The ladies can deal with Signora, seeing as she can waltz in given she was an alumni.

Childe, who is now in university, but he decides to come back from his university to be your prom escort. He is still childish, and he did promise that what happens in high school, stays there, so if you both ditch prom later to get McDonald’s or go to a party, no one will ever know.

Hello darling! First of all, thank you so much! It really makes me happy that people like my ocs! It really means a lot. Not to mention that I was generally surprised to see that so many liked Lucy's design! thanks yall! I was so happy to read those comments 🖤

And well, yeah! I want to write a fanfic with her so I have a few things planned. Lucy is an old oc frommmm 2019, but I decided to bring her back to life with a redising and all 🦇

Soooooo Lucy Fernby is a British girl who was born in 1975. Her parents are quite famous musical artists (especially her father) so she always had an approach to music. Actually, Lucy has absolute pitch and ease with some instruments, however she prefers to play the bass and write songs to cope with certain emotions that she doesn't know how to share. If I had to assign her a voice, I would say that she speaks like Gwen of Total Drama but with a British accent (although certainly Serena's voice from downtown is still an option lmao) , and when she sings it would sound like Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.

Even so, her parents (Emily, a goth singer and Luke, a rock band guitarist) got divorced when she was still a child. Her father returns to the USA but still tries to be as present in her life as possible. Despite this, due to a situation that Lucy does not want to talk about, they distance themselves when she is 14. I CLARIFY because I know it is very ambiguous, no, her father did not hurt her or anything, only Lucy keeps everything to herself.

Lucy had a lot of problems that affected her way of relating to others, both with people of her age and with her own parents. Due to a series of bad decisions she misses the school year and that's when her mother decides that it is best to send her to live with her father so that she can get away from "the toxic environment she is in."

(conclusion that Emily draws after brief questions that Lucy did not develop when she answering)

This is how Lucy ends up going to live with her father at the Addison Apartments because well, a rock star who lives in a town that no one knows = peace of mind and time which he can dedicate to his daughter and himself!

oh, another fun fact of her! A year before moving to the Addison Apartments, she had a platonic friend/crush named Meri with whom she lost connection. I mention this because Lucy has a tendency to isolate herself when something happens and simply end a relationship instead of fighting for it, which she did at the time with Sally and the rest of the gang, but she has learned to be more open about how she feels.

I'VE BEEN DOING PRETTY ALRIGHT!!!! >:D I've already mentioned this before BUUUT yesterday my grandma came over to do my hair after who knows how long..I think the last time she did it was when I was 12?? so it's been four years :'D and she was a little sloppy in the beginning bcz it's been so long but she got the hang of it pretty fast!

AND IT TOOK SIX. HOURS. tbh that's not that bad--if I actually went to the salon it would've taken longer :p bcz they have multiple ppl to work on ykyk but that's okay. My mom and grandma were talkin a lot about some random stuff while doing my hair like how much my grandma hates her coworker and yadyadyaydaysh and they fought abt a few stuff but got over it super fast--their relationship is just super rocky so a lot of convos they get mad at each other for something xD but it's okay 'cause I was minding my own business playing on my vita and reading tbhk >:D AND I HAD HALF A CARTON OF ICE CREAM!! IT WAS SO GOOD ABSHFBDSAHBF I WANT SOME NOW but I haven't had breakfast yet SO I GOTTA EAT THAT FIRST xD

so now my hair is thisssss black and red mixture?? It looks better than it sounds I promise BAHSBDHSAB the red isn't like neon or anything so it's fine ! It's more of a burgundy to be honest--which looks pretty good with the black! lmao i asked bc, as you said in your tags, there was a certain way that it comes across as with how you’re talking about it, so i genuinely wondered bc i was gonna listen to it as well. i’ve been reading plenty of comments about it as well that mostly just lean on “aoty” “soty” “best album ever” and i get that these are (hopefully) exaggerated claims by stans, but i was seriously yet to see a decent comment about its musicality. it’s either about his face in the mv or his voice or the aesthetic of the mv. nothing on the lyricism or the instrumentations or its creativity or depth, so i was hesitant. i get liking it, but i doubt its being “the best”, so when i saw that your comments were the same, i began to wonder if this is another case of exaggerated praises and it’s just... meh at best. nothing new and all that. i am still gonna listen to it on my own ofc but, i guess, since i’m not really his fan, i’m not all excited. amazing debuts usually create tractions of their own, and i don’t hear much for this, but i ain’t judging based on that ofc. anyway, no need to feel attacked. as i said, i was genuinely curious so i asked. i’m well aware that i have ears. i was just genuinely curious about what you actually thought about it, what with your unhinged tags and whatnot. that’s all.

overall ur ask is very uninformed which if ur not a fan is understandable but as a native english speaker myself listening to an album that is almost entirely in english from a nonnative speaker i have to say the lyrics are very well done they make sense create good metaphor and aren't superficially about balling or making a lot of money (i loathe to hear this often in eng versions of kpop songs lol) and jaehyun is credited as a lyricist on almost every song afaik

the production value is solid "can't get you" has an entire band accompaniment (the trumpet >>>>>) he wrote/worked on "flamin hot lemon" with emotional oranges (one of my fave artists actually <3) so that one is Excellent in every regard esp for a song inspired by cheetos lmao I've said numerous times that none of the songs sound like they were created with the intent of 30 secs going viral on tiktok (a very important differentiation for me) and one of my favorites parts about the title track "smoke" is the outro it's soooo good there's an unexpected bit of piano that he adlibs along with >>>> and the ballad "completely" has a Gorgeous piano backing to it (the lyrics on this one are also so beautiful)

my excitement about the release may have overwhelmed me so i might not have broken down each song beat by beat but rest assured i'm not wasting time on music i don't enjoy

in summation the album is good and on a separate unrelated note he just happens to be really hot ❤️

Ahh I can't sleep until I get this out of my system.

Sometimes I rly feel like I blew it. I have little desire for romance so I've never tried anything and don't feel like putting myself out there either. I'm almost certain I could live a very fulfilling life in total celibacy. I do fantasise abt romance tho, constantly, cus it's fun and it's free. But sometimes I'll find myself thinking abt the few opportunities that came my way... Most of it happened in the last five yrs. I've had a glow up of sorts: stopped hiding my body and started wearing clothes that actually fit me, found ways of expressing myself thru fashion, idk if my face changed or if I just realised that I'm cute actually? All those factors contributed to getting some attention and I'm not used to it and frankly, idk that I wanna do smth abt it. I've pretty much ran away from advances every time. And not bc I wasn't interested! Even when I could admit to myself that I did like this person in more than a strictly friendly way, I just came up w a bunch of reasons why it didn't matter and that it wouldn't work. And my feelings never felt that intense anyway. It's always, "Eh, I'll get over it." And then I did! For the most part.

But there's this girl... idk why she keeps crossing my mind. We met at a BIPOC sapphic event she organised and I already admired her for putting this together. She was beautiful and funny and smart, and I just found her so cool. And somehow, she thought much the same abt me! She said I was cute, she laughed at my jokes and she even found my awkwardness endearing. She didn't find me boring or off-putting, and knew how to keep the conversation going even when I went quiet. We definitely clicked. At the time, I didn't realise I was feeling romantically abt her. I didnt even know I was flirting. I was just familiar with the song and dance. (Turns out, my socialising looks a lot like flirting.) I was super caught off-guard when she asked me out on a date. I kinda felt like running off but I just smoothly rejected her and walked home w my friend.

"You don't even know me!" is what I wanted to say. What made her think I'm dating material? I don't see much when I look at myself and I realise it's bc I know myself way more and I'm my biggest critic, but even then... I wonder what ppl think when they look at me. What do they see? What do I make them feel?

At the event, I didn't mingle much w everyone else, was lowkey glued to my friend's side (who's way more extroverted) and I was just sipping a can and steadily getting tipsy... What tf did she see? And, will anyone else be able to see that again? I feel like she must've been real special to find me charming at my worst - i.e. me at a function. Absolutely rizzless, borderline pathetic. What if that was my one shot and I blew it? And when I meet God and whine abt being a loveless loser, He'll stare me down and say, "I sent you a baddie but you passed on her, stupid." What if I doomed myself bc I chickened out of a date w a pretty girl I definitely liked back in some ways? And how do I recover from the shame. It's been over two yrs, get over it, oh my gosh.

Bc truth is, if by some miracle, we reconnected and she asked me out again... I would not say yes. My ass is not ready for a relationship. I don't even feel like I'm made for it. I think I'm a good friend (but could always improve), an alright sibling, an alright child, an insignifiant cousin/grandchild/relative... I just feel fundamentally inadequate in relationships! Be it romantic or platonic or wtv. But where I agree that I do well as a friend, Idk that I'd be a worthwhile partner. Even tho romance is just friendship with extra parts. I could start kissing and sucking on a homie of my choosing and we'd be lovers, technically, no?

Do I not care abt romance that much or have I fooled myself into thinking so to spare my own feelings of inadequacy? Could be a mix of both. I want love and I want to experience it, but I don't care enough to look for it and I will run away from it. What a mess. What a fkg bummer.

it all feels sort of unreal, still. jumping from plane to plane—jumping after laudna as she threw herself forward into this portal, reckless, like she didn’t care that they’d gone to all the effort to bring her back—to yet another plane. and the fey realm really doesn’t help. everything is heightened here—the colours, the sounds. fearne. taller than ever, delicate antler peeking out from riotous curls, eyes wide and gleaming with cheerful guile. laudna looks the same, but awestruck, of course. of course. it’s beautiful here, it is, and imogen is fascinated too but. she’s tired and her mind wants to drift, soothed and roused in turns by the vibrancy of this place, and something about that damn tuning fork has shaken her right out of order.

‘are you feeling alright, darling?’ laudna asks, touches cool fingers to imogen’s arm, above her leather gloves and below her sleeve. right against the skin.

imogen forces a smile, nods. ‘just fine, laud.’ laudna doesn’t believe her, why would she? imogen pats her hand. ‘you don’t have to worry about me. my minds all abuzz, that’s all.’

‘entirely your own mind?’ laudna’s other hand creeps up, curls around the back of imogen’s neck. it’s chaste and kind—cool against her skin, it offers instant relief, respite—and imogen feels the worst sort when her mind tugs free of her control and she wonders, briefly, whether laudna has allowed herself to see their position as someone else might. standing so close together, laudna’s hands on her in what is a loose embrace. it would be easy—very!—to lift her head and bring their lips together.

‘imogen?’

‘wh-what was that?’

‘i asked if you are entirely in your right mind,’ laudna repeats, enunciating her words clearly. the hand on imogen’s arm drifts up; she presses her fingertips to imogen’s temple and stares. she hasn’t the magic to tell, nor to fix whatever she fears may be wrong, but she narrows her eyes to such an intense line that imogen dreams she could turn sideways and slip right into imogen’s mind.

where she belongs, a fierce thought rumbles, entirely imogen’s own.

imogen blinks, looks away. up the crooked, vine-coiled path to the manor. ‘he didn’t hurt me, if that’s what you’re angling for.’

‘angling? i would have hoped you would tell me without my needing to pry,’ laudna says, teases really.

‘of course i would. he didn’t do anythin’ to me. i swear.’

laudna regards her a moment longer. then, she smiles. ‘you sang very prettily. to the flowers. i didn’t know you could sing.’

‘me?’ imogen laughs. ‘i sing fine enough, i guess, but you’re the one who charmed ‘em.’ she clicks her tone, feigns hurt disbelief. ‘can’t believe you’ve never sung for me, not once.’

‘an oversight on my behalf.’ laudna’s voice dips into an unfamiliar warmth, a little shaky. ‘after all, a pretty flower deserves a song, yes?’

before imogen can parse the comment, laudna has fluttered away, up the path. imogen follows a little more slowly, adds one more confusion to the riot in her mind.

nana’s treehouse is. terrifying. imogen wants to leave. it’s not the size, or the skins, or the strange concoctions, or the two-faced—literally!—nana, or the screaming face tapestries or the creatures that crawl across the roofs. well. all of that is pretty peculiar but at this point, she’s decided to take it all in stride. this is her life now. like fearne said, first there was a bunch of animated furniture and now here they are.

it’s not the strangeness of the place. it is, imogen decides as they piece together a warm breakfast—or meal, really, when there isn’t any time in particular—complete with a cocktail, the totality of it.

the tree, the dome, the collection. fearne, to a certain extent. all of it falls within morrigan’s fane. the words and their meanings are all a little beyond imogen’s working knowledge but she can feel it in her skin, funnily enough.

morrigan holds it all. there’s a knot, a nexus, in the weaving of this fane. the manner of things, how they move and think, their very beings, act according to morrigan’s whim. even when she doesn’t tug on the weave, imogen can feel it. the pull. everything that exists in this place belongs to morrigan. it sets imogen’s teeth on edge.

‘you’re fidgeting,’ morrigan murmurs, in a voice like scuttling mice.

imogen tries not to jump. she’s standing alone—or had been, up until this very moment—on one of the garden platforms. she’d walked through a broken arch to get here and that seemed fitting. morrigan stands folded in on herself, bouldrous form avalanched a little smaller, craning head flush to her chest. imogen can feel the weight of eyes on her and thinks the smart thing to do would be to keep watching the churn of the fen; her skin prickles and burns and she hopes there’s no lightning behind her eyes when she turns instead, meets morrigan’s gaze.

‘i must have slept a little odd. nothing to your guest house, it was beautiful. and creepy.’

morrigan smiles toothily. ‘thank you. but that’s not it.’

‘it isn’t?’

‘no.’ a long, long finger unfurls. hovers over the forking end of a lightning mark barely visible above Imogen’s gloves. she doesn’t touch; the reaction of ashton’s brain glass seems to have instilled a wariness. ‘tell me, what colour are the candles here?’

imogen frowns. she glances out to the arcane candles; the flames orbit the tree, turning a slow waltz through branches and around tormented topiary. every one of them glows an oil-slick blue.

‘no orange?’

‘no,’ imogen shakes her head.

‘curious.’ the long, long finger pulls away. folds back into a big fist. morrigan’s voice is a whisper now, as much as the large being can whisper. ‘and my collection. what did you think of it?’

it is dangerous to lie to the fey, imogen recalls; she cannot think of a single reason why she would, right now. the answer is an easy one, though morrigan is growing more and more correct by the second. imogen’s skin itches as she thinks on morrigan’s collection.

‘it is yours,’ imogen says simply.

morrigan nods. ‘yes.’

‘yes,’ echoes her second head.

‘i had a feeling you might say that.’

sometimes it is safer to talk and flee than bite and chew, imogen recalls too. she eyes the broken arch, the path that leads back to safety, and addresses her respectfully. ‘have i upset you, lady morrigan?’

it earns her a nod of approval. ‘not at all, dearie. not at all. you’re a dangerous one, aren’t you?’ it is more appraisal than question, so imogen doesn’t answer. ‘the red moon has its hooks in you. it wants to tear you apart, eat you up. i wonder why that is.’

‘all it wants is to eat. i don’t think it’ll single me out.’

morrigan tilts her head to an obscene degree, owlish, almost. ‘you’re caught in a net,’ she says. ‘but on which side?’

Hihi, i hope my questions arent bothering you but I really want to get into evillious but im still confused so here are some questions i want to ask (⁠ʃ⁠ƪ⁠＾ω＾)✧⁠*⁠。

1. Do you only translate the songs or do you also translate the novels?

2. Where do you read the novels?? I tried searching on google but only the pride arc showed up.. :((

Oh, wow. I'm not on tiktok, I didn't realize people recommended me over there.

1. I have translated almost everything there is to read about Evillious with the exception of the Daughter of Evil manga. So, that's the novels, short stories, album booklets, fanbooks, some creator interviews, and I also "infomine" some of the things I don't translate (ex, I've been reading mothy's personal blog and posting the occasional summary on what's in it).

2. Yeah, unfortunately Google is not very useful here. I don't know how well you know how to navigate tumblr or if you're using a browser or the mobile app, so please excuse me if I say something you already know--I have two different directories with my Evillious translations on them.

It includes not only Evillious stuff (and creator commentary for it), but also things related to mothy's newer series called E.A.T. It's my understanding that most mobile users can't access blog pages, though.

Rather than listing things by medium, it lists Evillious content by the year it was released (the novels are in italics). hi! usually scared to send asks to people but i would like to hear your connor headcanons because i want to know the lore behind all of your extremely pretty connor drawings

HII omg dont be !! pls feel free to send stuff whenever !! ok so i have TONS of connor hc’s ( i’ve been writing as him & for him for years now ) but here’s my faves + the ones that are usually present in my art . ( gotta mention that some are very personal & self indulgent bc i see myself in connor a LOT 😭 ) tw for a quick mention of razors .

- i made a post abt this hc here but i’m adding it because it’s the main reason why i use a certain color for connor’s hair , & that is that connor is a ginger ( just like zoe & cynthia ) & he dyes his hair a darker color so he doesn’t look much like them ( & he doesn’t get associated with zoe much at school ) he usually uses a dark brown or even black , but it’s usually very sloppy so his hair ends up being patchy in some areas or just not dark enough .

- connor uses he / they pronouns mostly bc they’re very detached to his gender identity because they don’t feel human most of the time . connor looks in the mirror & doesn’t think ‘ boy ‘ , most of the time he thinks ‘ failure ‘ , ‘ disappointment ‘ , ‘ monster ‘ . he’s also unlabeled & mostly finds male presenting ppl attractive but has been with female presenting ppl a few times . - ik freckles have been a recurring headcanon for connor throughout the years in the fandom but i wanna add it too bc his freckles mean so much to me . a connor without freckles is like an angel without its wings likeee ! The thing about dynamic pricing, it reminds me of the 00s here in the UK when there was a growing issue with ticket reselling on legit websites and led to new regulations and laws. The fact that Ticketmaster has been allowed to grow so big and with so much control over venues, the problem is they can more or less dictate that dynamic pricing is used regardless only certain acts can refuse, but I feel there is pressure in the industry to adopt it regardless. I also think performers who've not adopted will eventually. The only way dynamic pricing will stop is when they force Ticketmaster/Live Nation to break up its monopoly and to regulation ticket pricing. It will happen but probably in 10 years' time, just in time for BTS's 2nd world tour post enlistment.

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Anything having to do with touch. I'm a sucker for physical gestures, so anything that involves details like brushing someone's hair out of their eyes, hooking a tentative pinky around someone else's hand, it doesn't need to be overt to get me in my feels every single time.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

Yes! I threatened a major character death in [though I've closed my eyes, I know who you pretend I am] late in the final (12th) chapter lmao

I knew that being that late into the fic most people would've forgotten what the specific tags were and even less would be willing to scrolling all the way back up to check lol

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Like I said in the first Q, touch is a big thing for me. Eyes and anything having to do with vision also tends to be a big one, if you read a fic with both of those elements there's a decent chance I wrote it.

As far as overarching things, I prefer to write scenery over dialogue, and put a heavy emphasis on describing what the characters are feeling/thinking over having them verbally express it.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I wanna say my [detroit become human au] has shit hit the fan pretty quickly. The fic opens with the conflict and it takes a few chapters for the reader to get any context, but once you've got it, going back to the start just makes your heart break.

no but actually uhhhhhh... I will say that when I've got a good idea rattling around in my head, I can churn out a fic for that premise very quickly. to the point that i accidentally wrote three chapters for one of my fics all within a day, because I'm unhinged like that

LOVE but only if they're done right. I appreciate first kiss fics that aren't perfect or a little clumsy, but also i'm a sucker for those picture perfect moments too

YA i do my best writing with some music on. I've been listening to a mix of things lately (Love from the Other Side by FOB, that new Shakira collab, and Flowers by Miley Cyrus) but i've also been looping my 14+ hour long exo playlist

⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

I had a sculk!Grian fic from like, I wanna say October last year that I was 1k words into that just. Disappeared. No clue where it went or how I lost but, but in hindsight, it wasn't my best work.

I'm still a bit sad to have lost it, but considerably more proud of the things I've written since.

🍦 What’s the sweetest fic you’ve created so far?

I have come to the realization that I am horrible at writing fluff without some level of conflict within the fic. Whoops! Closest I've got is a [scarian sick fic] that I wrote recently lmao

🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write?

Either while I'm at work when it's dead during the day time, or frantically at like, 11 o'clock p.m., there is no in between.

💖 What made you start writing?

Wayyyyy back when I was 12/13 I used to be big into rp, and I came into the realization that the rps I was doing could just as easily be formatting into fics.

None of those fics were ever published, but getting to learn how to edit and rewrite scenes that had been planned out with another person made me want to start creating stories of my own.

💌 How do you feel about comments and feedback?

Love love LOVE comments and feedback. Literally getting a comment is like a serotonin boost directly into my veins to write more, esp comments that'll point out specific scenes or moments/lines they liked.

someone pointed out that they liked the way I described fresh hickeys like blooming violets and I haven't been able to stop thinking about that comment ever since.

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

That's a good question.... I'm trying to think of one that isn't like, a blatantly obvious icky trope.

I'm not sure if it counts as a trope, but Y/N fics. Not only are their primary function to act as fan service, they end up coming off very RPF to me which I'm not a fan of.

Oh, also RPF. Any fic i write has to do 100% with the characters those people portray, not the real person.

🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories?

Depends on the fic! For my [actor au] I've just been kinda flying by the seat of my pants, doing the occasional googling but not much. The opposite of this would be my [detroit become human au] where I literally rewatched jacksepticeye's d:bh playthrough and scoured wikis to make sure i'm describing androids correctly.

tl;dr: generally no, only as needed unless I get fixated on it.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Fly by the seat of my pants, but i'm trying to change this! For my multi-chaptered fics I've started actually planning out future events, and even for this one big one shot im working on, i've got an outline in the works.

...though generally, i don't plan. it's a bad habit.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

GLADLY so speaking of that big one shot, it's going to be a boatem superhero au, i've started outlining it and getting my concepts together, i'm very excited for it!

here's a snippet:

It was fairly obvious that the Mayor had pulled some strings to get Scar to this stage; once a nobody vigilante who seemed more preoccupied with dazzling the camera over saving lives, Scar's public image had taken a hard left turn during the past few campaigning months.

The situation was more of an open secret— it was all too convenient for Scar, who practically lived in the Mayor's pocket, to be joining the city's most elite crime-fighting team.

it's VERY early in development so don't expect this one for a while tho

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

I'd say figure out your character's voice is a big one. It's easy to fall into fanon tropes and while they're fun, they can cause lots of warping in the way you write your own fics, which might make them sound off.

So look out for fanon tropes! Personally I've run into people who make Scar very sweet and innocent, to the point of dusting his hands clean of blame. It's an easy hole to fall into, and no one should fault a writer for falling into tropes.

There's a line to walk, and I find that watching content relating to that character really helps shaping that "inner voice".

Also, get someone to proof read your work who is willing to point out your mistakes. Editing/betaing is never meant to be a personal attack, but rather to make sure that the fic you present to the rest of the world is cohesive and clear.

💞 Who’s your comfort character?

Scar! He just gets me fr. He's one of my favorite guys to write because of how versatile and how much variety he has. He could be a silly salesman one minute, and a quietly scary assassin the next. Whatever the bit or joke is, he fully commits to it, often to the detriment of himself, but god does it make for good content.

Also he has a really good narration voice ok

no but actually, i'd say my favorite grian head canon is anything having to do with him being an alchemist. i want that man brewing potions, getting blown up, and curing all his friends ailments with the most illegal looking brew you've ever seen in your life.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Grian, mostly because he comes easiest to me! There's such a sense of endless potential when I get ready to write him, and like, idk what it is, but longing too?

We've been getting it pretty heavy w/ his whole "I Miss Mumbo" campaign but like, grian to me feels like someone who's always thinking about reaching a hand out, and pulls it back at the last second. It's very relatable.

🤯 What’s a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Weirdly enough, it's fluff. I always feel compelled to write stories with some level of conflict or it's not "satisfying" to me. I love reading the genre, but for whatever reason when I write it, I get in my head about if it's "good enough" or not without conflict. I'm working on that lol

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

EDIT: so i misread this, you get fic recs as a bonus. my proper answer is: [my bad ending fae two shot], it will shatter you as it did me </3

i'm going to give two because i do what i want. the first being [It's Only Logical by TSTrashCaptain] which is a sanders sides fic that to this day, i can only dream of writing something so good. tw for themes of abuse and nsfw at times, but god. just reading the title again puts a knot in my heart in the best way possible.

now, this fic. [your heart rots in my hands by thepigeoncat]. this fic slaughtered me the first time i read it. i left a long ass comment on it. tw for major character death, but this is the perfect last life scarian fic.

it's beautiful, and tragic, and it makes me feel as though the world has truly ended /pos. please go read it.

Ahhhh there's a lot that could go here! If I had to choose 3, at least rn lol, I'd say: It Follows, The Man Who Fell To Earth, and Phantom of the Paradise.

Answered this one in the ask just before! If I had to add to it tho, I'd also add some specific foods: knoephla soup, the orange cookies my grandma taught me to make, and ramen (soup and carbs are big part of my personal food pyramid lmaooo)

There's a good few rn (some older from artist I'm just now catching up on, others newer ones that I'm just finding out abt through friends and stuff), but there's one that's been haunting my fucking head bc I have a fic idea inspired by it that Refuses to actually materialise on the page:

-my refusal to admit/realise when I need/am allowed to take breaks from stuff (which in turn burns me out, and then I deny that bc the idea of not being able to keep up w/everything no matter how I'm feeling makes my brain scream lmao)

-that I'm always behind on my laundry

-I'm also always late on figuring out what to get ppl for holidays/bdays so I risk gifts being late to the ppl I care abt

-that I struggle to know when I should endure vs when 'if it sucks hit the bricks' applies

-that I wash my hands entirely too often (not a bad thing exactly but like. Housemate and I are fairly sure I have some form of OCD that my prior doc either ignored or missed somehow lol. It would be nice to not feel like I have to always wash my hands in between touching certain things and doing certain activities and would probably save me some time too lmao. So I figure that means this could fall under a 'bad habit' in a particular way.)

-my recurring need for reassurance on things that I've already been reassured abt, bc my brain like. Forgets?? And then freaks out like 'ok we got told this was fine but. what if it now isn't?'

I'm trying to work on p much all of these, to varying degrees of success. But I also know that like. No one is really 100 percent free of bad habits? So some of these might get better but stick around in some sense thru my life, and others might be replaced by different bad habits. I figure trying is better than nothing in the end (I really need to work on the gifts one tho, I'm just barely getting some on time for a friend's upcoming bday and even tho they should be right on time I feel really bad abt it fadkdjkds)
