i’ve heard of paradise kiss but i haven’t watched it or read the manga yet :)

shin!!!!! his personality reminds me so much of a friend of mine so his character is very near and dear to my heart <3

also i completely understand what you mean. there are a lot of deeply flawed characters in NANA and i think that’s a part of what makes it great! hachi definitely has her fair share of issues but she’s so special to me cause i feel like we share a lot of the same inner turmoil. i love her because i resonate so much with her. there’s definitely some things hachi says/does that i don’t agree with though for sure.

i haven’t watched the anime in a while so I could be misremembering but i feel like people give junko too hard of a time. don’t get me wrong there are things that she says/does that i definitely side eye 👀 but i do think that overall she really does want the best for hachi even if she comes across as harsh. plus i feel like hachi needs someone in her life to be straight with her, even if it’s not what she wants to hear.
