there was no doubt that recent events inspired this urge towards diplomacy ;  fighting towards a unified purpose had only served to strengthen the bonds of elyos’ future leaders ,  &  with that came a realization of the importance of dialogue .  knowing elusia’s secluded history , it was a real surprise when hortensia had informed him of the visit from faerghus .  from his vague recollections of studying for his retainership ,  he knew it was an area further north ,  separated by a expansive ,  mountainous terrain that could not be traversed by anything other than flight .

upon reaching the edge of the palace walls ,  he feels slightly nervous ,  even with his usual battalion accompaniment & wyvern  --  more for a show of security than need .  he knows so little about faerghus that he has absolutely no clue what to expect .  when the diplomat pops into sight ,  entering into the gates of the palace for the first time ,  a smile comes to his face unwittingly :  she vaguely reminds him of goldmary ,  if she had a more solemn  &  battle - worn  sister .

he dismounts from his wyvern ,  giving camilla a little pet on her snout to calm her as she seeks for his touch ,  sensing the nervous air .  stepping forward ,  he offers a little curtsy ,  as he usually does in the face of seniority .

This blog runs off SPORADIC ACTIVITY. I work early morning hours ( like 4 or 5am ) to early afternoons / sometimes later so I end up being more of a somewhat low energy person when it comes to using my brain power. I will write when I can, when I have the motivation & energy to but I am usually always on Discord to plot / gush about things or just talk.

In addition to above, please do not rush me for replies or such. I prefer to give my partners good quality writing instead of choppy rushed writing. Depression, my adhd + early work hours sometimes make it difficult to concentrate / focus or get myself to sit at my computer, I can't always force it out. My memory however can be garbage & things slip from it a lot so I don't mind a reminder, being asked about a reply or if I perhaps forgot to like a starter etc etc. ♡

I am also MUTUALS ONLY. I do not do follow for follow, I will only follow back if I can see us writing together & enjoy what I see. Please don't push me to follow you back or that will be an instant block. In regards to that, if we are mutuals but you're just not feeling the vibe of us writing together anymore then I ask that you please block me. My portrayal is my own. Do not make assumptions ( aka such as assuming fanon. ) If there are any wanted clarifications or general muse questions then feel free to ask me about them & I'll answer the best I can. In addition to this, most of my muses are canon compliant in terms of personality / story happenings but I do tend to write headcanons here & there that either dig in deeper OR dispute things for my portrayal. In addition to the above, I am duplicate friendly but I will most likely not follow muses of the same first unless they have a duplicate rule as well. I'm open to twin verses if plotted or younger self / older self interactions because I just think the second one is a neat idea. ( In Dan Heng's case it could be DH / DF interactions. )

Writing wise overall. I try to answer most asks that are given to me but sometimes if I can't conjure up a proper response / just am not feeling it then I will delete it. This is nothing against anyone personally, I don't like forcing my writing or giving poor quality replies. If you don't feel a thread, a starter I wrote OR something we are developing, please just tell me. We can restart something new or work things out some other way. I have no hard feelings in regards to this because sometimes what our muse wants / what we want or feel changes.

Some muses of mine will be mostly if not fully iconless due to lack of material for current appearances or appearances at all ( mostly Dan Feng & Momo Hinamori ). I don't care whether you do or don't use icons.

I am mainly plot driven as a blog. I prefer to plot interactions out when it comes to threads or just character relations in general since winging it usually doesn't work all that much for me or tends to die off easier. I don't expect extensive plotting into a whole thread plan but I do prefer some kind of base to go off of, it really helps me in the long run. I don't mind random asks or unprompted asks overall however.

No godmodding, don't control my muse in your replies & please please communicate with me. While I am fine with naturally emerging plot developments, I do require big events ( character death, breakups, etc ) to have been discussed previously. I would also like to be kept in the loop when it comes to any character choices that will, if we have an ongoing dynamic, affect our interactions.

I am crossover friendly! I usually prefer it from material I am familiar with but I am always willing to dive into the unknown if I am given something to go off or able to use in order to research on my own.

I don't practice exclusives here but I do practice affiliates / mains for specific muses that are integral to my own muse. My main rule about this is that I will only romantic ship with one muse of a certain character ( aka ship exclusive ). Each ship will be in it's own verse.

If you ever are interested in exploring any sort of dynamic, feel free to hit me up in dms about it. I love being able to build things with other people but how things go will depend as well on my muses, they are not likely to engage into romantic relationships on a whim. Any ship would need to be developed and plotted. Your muse is welcome to have a crush on any of my muses, but those feelings may end up being unrequited. Please do not guilt trip me about this.

- okay for starters. i love the intense belief she has in people's ability to be great given the opportunity and her commitment to giving people that opportunity -> best instance of this is linhardt's a and a+ supports with her where it's like. especially with how their relationship starts out, you expect the two of them to be irreconcilably at odds with each other. but edelgard believes in him and puts in the effort to create a job tailored to him that *literally no one else* would be able to do because she knows he is capable of amazing things, but she recognizes that he would not be able to thrive in a traditional environment. and i Adore how this shining bit of hope contrasts with the way she so often lies to people and pushes them away. edelgard is constantly balancing wild dreams with horrible fear and it makes for such an interesting character. what else is there. im obsessed with her moments of ruthlessness. im obsessed with her moments of kindness. im obsessed with the way that she has never stopped running from her past and fighting towards a future that she might be able to live in (but she knows she probably won't) and the cowardice and the courage are two sides of the same coin. she cant face herself so she faces out at the world and dares it to try her.

this is already long lmao ill put the rest of my answers under a cut:

- okay maybe a weird answer but i actually love her little speech to byleth after jeralt dies. its harsh and its not wrong and its unnecessary and it shows exactly how she copes with things herself and. it is just such a lovely character moment. i love her a support with bernadetta and the way that she admits bernie has made her kinder, how the two of them allude to their backgrounds through talking about flowers, the line about how she can't wait to see the flower's true colours. there are so many more but my memory for lines is not great and these are the ones on my mind.

- another probably weird choice but i have to say that i adore her support chain with manuela. the way she's so out of her depth with the faith because she Doesn't want to destroy something so important to so many people but her own experiences make it difficult for her to understand, how manuela helps her to be able to respect it much more honestly. i don't know if its my very favorite support of hers (almost all her support chains are equally fantastic to me, though i don't care for constance's, and I think hubert's b and a supports are alright but not up to the standard of most of the rest. his c is really good though) but it's one that doesn't get much fandom focus so i wanted to spotlight it.

- my favorite endcard is probably a tossup between byleth and lysithea. i think that her and byleth's ending is very sweet and i adore the sheer catharsis of her and lysithea taking down the people who hurt them together and taking back their lives. her solo ending is also important to me of course, on account of it giving us a hint of what comes next. i think her stepping down and retreating from the public eye is very important and i wish it was made explicit in more endings than just her solo and hers with hubert. also a shoutout to her caspar end card which i think is really funny. who let them get married

- if i were to make edelgard recruitable on any other route i'd make her a last minute recruit on verdant wind. i think the concept of her coming to support claude once he's proven his resolve to her (and claude being willing to spare her, because he's the only lord i think could do that and have it come off well) would be fantastic, because ive always wondered what she would look like in a supporting role. i think she could do it really well if she got past herself. obviously she would have to have different supports (though not manybecause the timing is tight; maybe a heavily boosted support growth so she could reach b with claude and a potential different paired ending with lysithea– if we're feeling spicy maybe we can finally let her and marianne talk, or make dedue recruitable as well and have them conflict over dimitri's death). and this gives us the bonus of having a route where she can help face down the agarthans, and maybe even come to something of an understanding with rhea! honestly this might be my ideal route lmao

- a better question would be is there a setting i *wouldn't* be interested to see edelgard in. she's a fascinating character and so much of what she does is heavily reliant on her exact canon circumstances so any really well done au would be able to explore some interesting aspects of her.

- headcanons! ok most of my headcanons are not easy to articulate and the ones that are are very much projection. absolute biggest projection hc is that shes a lesbian but would chill with claude in a <> way. for other hcs? she would love modest mouse. her homestuck classpect is prince of rage. once she's older than any of her siblings made it to she begins to think of herself as the eldest. sometimes she just has to turn her brain off and let muscle memory and some odd residue of incredible willpower move her forward. stepping back would be incredibly hard on her and for a while she'd be the worst off mentally she had been since the experiments because she never really learned to stop running and as soon as she stood still it caught up with her Hard.

- top 3 edelgard ships for me are edeleth berniegard and edelclaude. edeleth is narratively really fun on both cf and ss but for me it's also what happens when you play a dating sim but kin one of your romance options so hard that the player character just becomes "what would i want someone to do for me". berniegard is such a good opportunity to let edelgard be a little soft and let bernie be a little brave and they both do art and like stuffed animals and have so much to work through and. augh. squishes them. edelclaude just has so much incredible fanwork and the snippets we do get of them are to me the most interesting relationship between the lords. they talk about how similar their goals are they flirt on the battlefield they think each other are the most annoying guy ever. ive got a little spot reserved for edelys and i think rheagard is. Well. rarepairwise i think hapi/edelgard, edelgard/marianne, or all three together could be fascinating, especially if you throw the hegemon husk into the mix.

- songs i associate with edelgard: the crow and grade school games by dessa, caliber by wintersleep, november by sparkbird, make up your mind by florence + the machine. probably a billion others but since i started playing fe3h ive only been listening to a few songs on loop lol

- favorite edelgard fic? probably The Stars Will Be Watching Us by onnari. time loop fic that was my introduction to edelclaude and Boy Was It Ever An Introduction.

- my big brainrot aus are an animorphs au (lords + byleth and flayn as the animorphs, the yeerks are those who slither and the church are the andalites) and a no byleth!au where hubert dies early into white clouds that forces edelgard to lean into her other relationships.

Youth:

Pok��mon Black

This was my very first Pokémon game and I loved it so much. To this day, gen 5 is my favorite gen and Snivy is my favorite starter. The fact that it's next on the list for a remake has me so excited. I'm really hoping that we get a Legends: Arceus style game too where we could see the Pokémon that Kyreum, Reshiram, and Zekrom were before they split.

Both Poképark games

I played and replayed these two games so much. To the point that it's genuinely sort of concerning. Baby's first "open-world" game. I would sell my soul for a new one.

The Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Series

I have one from every set ever released. Something about these games scratches my brain in the best possible way. I still play them to this day but I've never 100% one. Writing about them is making me want to replay so bad too. Would sell my soul for a new one of these too.

The Pokémon Ranger Series

Baby's first rage quit was with this series. I still remember how fucking frustrated I was. But I have completed all three of them and I liked the third one where you could ride the Suicune, Raikou, and Entei the best. When I was in fourth grade, I had to be in this Christmas concert/play thing. I was a video game (the story was how material things aren't the point of Christmas or something). I literally dressed up as this game. Guess what? Would sell my soul for a new one of these as well.

Holy shit they're not all Pokémon?! Nope, this shitshow is on here too. This game is so fucking bad. Like comically bad. And I ate it up as a kid. I would NOT sell my soul for a new one of these 😑

This should surprise exactly no one who follows me lmao. I adore this game. It's so wonderful and fun. I think I could play it forever. Currently playing the OG Witcher game which is...bad but in an endearing way lol.

Pokémon Conquest

Listen to me. This is the best Pokémon game ever released. It's so fucking fun. It's like Fire Emblem style turns but with POKÉMON. Literally cannot get better.

Fire Emblem Three Houses

My all time comfort game. If I am sick or struggling mentally you WILL find me playing FE3H. Only the Black Eagles route tho. I've played all of them but the Black Eagles route is the only one that brings me comfort. I love them so much.

Dragon Quest 11

I love this game so much. The characters in it are so interesting and the world is so vast and unique. Fun fact: I have never finished this game. I stop playing before the time travel shenanigans because I find the time travel portion dull and uninspired. And I think the game is more meaningful if Veronica stays dead.

Breath of the Wild

First Zelda game I ever played. Nothing I can say about it that hasn't been said. Just...really good.

for starters, i played this game trying to highest support EVERYONE and didn't recruit anyone so it wouldn't affect my perspective.

so all in all i liked the BL route a lot more than i thought i would. as my friends who like fe3h know, the fandom gets testy when you say u like a lord but honestly i never understood the notion of making the lord you like the most Ethically Sourced War Figurehead(tm) of the three.

the idea of dimitri/edelgard/claude needing to NOT have the label of imperialist / 'conqueror' is so strange to me bc then the alternative is like. oh nooo ... i am a ruler .... oh this extra land kind of just fell into my lap ... now i must be like Shakespeare's caesar and refuse the land three times and also frown VERY HARD while i accept it otherwise i will be fandom interpreted as a bad person and a war tyrant ...

but then i kind of had this moment where i was like ok and if they all are what then. i think every lord has good and bad qualities and if you play their route their route makes them very sympathetic to YOU but at the same time YES they're still the leader of a nation and they are at war and they are killing people and so Frowning so the homies know I think Invading is BAD seems ... idk. kind of stupid to me? babying the lords so that they can somehow seem ethically better for ultimately achieving 1 of 3 versions of the same ending ("now I am the final Lord of all of Fodlan") just makes them less interesting to me. like shit let them be imperial because they ARE and trying to write that part out is just silly. like oooo no they didn't SEIZE this land we just won a battle here and the other guys ran away and the villagers pledged to us but i don't want to INVADE or anything could you IMAGINE !!!! < -- how some of these scenes played out

ok now onto dimitri. i didn't expect to like him as much as i did. i don't think he was lying about being a kind person i think he was just a lil (a lot) mentally unstable as well.

intsys always has a talent for approaching very heavy topics and then only going a certain depth with it. dimitri's 'white saviorism' was part of it. like they sure wrote that in. but then wrote in dimitri and dedue talking about it and dimitri acknowledging the power dynamic but also deeply wishing it wasn't there and expressing the urge to be rid of it. like they wrote in a very ... ehhh trope but then wrote the character criticizing that very trope. i wouldn't call that good writing, but i also wouldn't fault the character for it.

the blue lions route doesn't get as heavy into politics as you almost wish it does; instead it focuses on the personal relationships of the house itself which i did find very compelling.

ingrid ... ima be so for real; i expected worse. that does not at all excuse her bias against dedue but once again intsys had her have a prejudice against duscurian people and then had her desperately seek the truth in order to change what she always knew and then later apologize which none of the other racist characters do.

i will NOT call good writing but just like w/ putting a power dynamic of white saviorism w/ dimitri and dedue only to have dimitri acknowledge and condemn it ... why did they do that? is there a better way they could have done those things? yeah probably. dedue def doesn't have to forgive her for any of that tho and neither does the player in my opinion i just think they were bold / odd for writing that

i wish they had made some random NPC racist instead. luckily ingrid is so boring of a character that i don't care about her either way and don't understand why she had so many shooters back in the day. she is neither interesting nor sexy so i don't get it. at least with hilda i know people ignore her racism because of her boobs. ingrid aint even got none of that goin on. i digress

moving on. based on the f4's lack of knowledge that the duscurian people were innocent, it seems like dimitri didn't tell them. i wonder why that is, when he took a duscurian vassl? my guess is that given rufus and cornelia's manipulation, when he first started saying the duscurian people were innocent they were quick to make it clear they would make it seem like he was crazy / didn't see what he saw. which would THEN make sense as to why dimitri kept that information so close to his chest and couldn't do anything with it until he either got proof (which he was seeking, albeit in a cuckoo way) or became king (which he couldn't do if they positioned him as crazy when he still lacked support). i found that kind of an interesting perspective

the character who surprised me the most was sylvain. i know that i have hated that guy for years but i actually quite like him now. it was his support with dedue that did it for me -- where he basically said he didn't gaf what anyone said about him talking to dedue, and that he thought the duscurian people were innocent. like ok sylvain you ate that one little thing. he's a raging misogynist but it's also a form of self destruction and i think when you send him to a war to die in both post ts and hopes he stops doing that so he can be fixed. by ME of course ..... (yes i picked him up) ....

i find the gautier family in general soooo cool. i liked them a lot. i could write a whole separate essay about them but i will spare you all that for now.

felix ... um ... ah ... eto .... i no longer think he was (intentionally) racist because i think he would have called anyone a dog for serving dimitri. HOWEVER, like with ingrid i don't understand why he has shooters in houses because that being said he is still INCREDIBLY annoying to me. i will admit hopes felix was a lot less of a cuntiferous bitch so he was more tolerable in hopes but in houses he's so fuckin rude for no reason and no i don't think his traumatic backstory is an excuse because everyone has one Susan

MERCEDES ........ her story is so deeply tragic but it's like HIDDEN behind an empire plotline but honestly i would say of the blue lions her and dimitri have the darkest pasts.

annette was cute. i liked that she was the only person felix couldn't be mean to i guess.

ashe we already knew i liked ashe so i don't have to expend a paragraph saying something that hasn't changed. i feel ashe's character stays the same personality wise from houses to hopes, but he's less tragic and deepened by hopes' plotline

i keep mentioning hopes because for the blue lions at least, hopes supplements the lack of a political plotline in houses. rather than just focus on the characters hopes actually deep dives into the issues in faerghus and deepens the knowledge you build in houses

the lore of faerghus, duscur, and sreng is very cool and compelling. very very fun to worldbuild in. all in all i found pretty much all of the characters more interesting or better than i originally thought. some surprised me in how much i liked them. others surprised me because i genuinely thought they were worse.

claude in the AM route. bro was straight up dumb and i can say that bc he is still my favorite lord. i like how in one route he's very calculating and is navigating a war between the empire and the kingdom and then in the AM route he's like hi. have my country. and my bow. goodbye!

the abovementioned did make me realize that in each route it will make the lord of that route look better and the other two look bad or incompetent in comparison -- so, to me at least, it solidified the idea that there is no "right" route, it's just 3 different perspectives. what's right in one country won't work in another due to lack of resources or social constraints but it doesn't mean the other country doesn't desire the same things.
