Tyler tends to fall asleep first, as he's the one that's up at the ass crack of dawn and keeps himself so busy during the day that he's exhausted by the time settling down comes across. Which means Esme has to try and fall asleep with him snoring lol

He's up before or wth the sun. Everyone sleeps while he goes and works out or takes a run on the beach. Sometimes both.

Tyler is very carefee, Very Aussie. LOL. He has zero fucks to give and is the parent that lets the kids try anything and everything (with supervision, of course). Esme is more uptight in a lot of situations. And can be a little neurotic lol

Opposites definitely attract with these two! Esme is an extrovert and very bubbly and talkative. She's a social butterfly and loves to meet people and make friends. Tyler is a notorious introvert, that doesn't allow many people in his circle. He's also very much the 'strong, silent type; he doesn't say a lot, but when he does, he means every word. She is his wild, and he is her calm :)

Esme LOL. Always cold. Even in the dead of summer.

Esme discovered he either has full out OCD or OCD tendencies. And that he can't sit still; he finds it almost physically pain not to be moving all the time. And she found out he can play the guitar and is a very at drawing. Tyler discovered that Esme is a book nerd, she loves to garden, crochet, knit, and is an excellent baker. She is also neurotic AF at times lol

While they both tend to go to sleep at a decent time, Tyler wakes up a few times a night and will tend to business matters, shit around the house. Esme has to encourage him to come back to bed.

Esme isn't as anal about clealniness, but I'd say she tends to be a bit messier. Although she can be extremely organized!

Tyler can be a bit impulsive with decisions regarding 'the job', whereas she's more impulsive about things about the house, the things she enjoys doing (like gardening) or adding animals to their horde lol

They're an introverted couple. To an extent. Esme knows he isn't the social butterfly type and doesn't force him out of his comfort zone. But he will venture out of it for her if there's something she wants to attend.

That's a tough one. He's come a long way! But I'll give this one to Esme. She can even make him blush.

Tyler had to get used to it, as touch is her love language. She loves to receive and give affection. Esme is all for it and always has been lol

Esme, LOL. Tyler's a great driver (like shown in the movies) and can be totally trusted, but he can be a little on the wild side lol

Tyler has to be tipsy or full out drunk to flirt LOL. Esme is very awkward at it, but adorable at the same time lol

The Spaces Between | Chapter Update - Chapter 8: All Things End

For the record, Maggie Stark didn't run away. Running away means having something to run from, and Maggie's got nothing. Something strange is going on in Queens, though, and it's got nothing to do with the Parkers. But before Maggie can solve that mystery, she has to make it through the most thrilling and terrifying venture she can imagine after a life of superheroes — high school.

Stopping only to take off her Converse, Maggie crawled into the bed, pulled the covers over her head, and let herself miss Aunt Peggy and Della and her family. The pillow grew damp under her temple. She curled in on herself and allowed the black hole to consume her as she fell into a restless sleep. An hour later she stumbled from the guest room, sweat-slicked skin shining in the fluorescent lights. Daisy and May were calling to her through miles of cotton, but all she could hear were Ross’s jeers and Aunt Peggy’s soft voice and Steve Steve Steve— Her feet carried her out the front door, down the hall, up to the roof. The sticky summer air clung to her clammy skin. She sucked in a deep breath, then another. Tried to remember Dr. Rollins’ advice through the remnants of her nightmares.

It's been a long time since I had read Flowers in the Attic, but did Malcolm watch Corinne getting whipped after she came back to Foxworth Hall or did he do the whipping himself? I couldn't tell how it was done since the whipping happened off-page, but in the 1987 movie, he had some sort of look of hunger as he watched.

I don't remember what was said in the book about it. It seems like he would want to watch, though, especially since he was enfeebled.

Bit of a story behind this one..

So I only just found this pic the other day, opened Pinterest and it was the first one to pop up and I gasped! It’s gorgeous!!! The sharpness, the symmetry, them in character.. it’s just beautiful.

Also as soon as I saw it, I recalled a moment from a fan meeting where VM are looking at this picture.

Here in this video from a fan meeting with Russian fans in Paris during TEB (Grand Prix France) 2013, they start with showering VM with gifts, followed by presenting them with the banners they had made from the previous season where they competed in Russia twice.

One of the banners is a red, black & white one (which sweet scootie notes that it’s kinda like a Canadian flag 🥰), and on the banner, is printed this above picture, as they are presented it and they pull it out, they each say:

Its quite hard to see what exactly the picture is from this angle (the camera) if you haven’t seen the actual photo (which I hadn’t until just the other day) but after watching this fan meeting a few times (and maybe pausing the video in the right spot) you can see it’s a picture of their ending pose from Carmen, a picture from practice from when they competed at COR 2012.

By what they each say, it seems maybe T hadn’t seen the picture before, but Scott had, or maybe not and in saying ‘I love that picture’ he means that moment in the program, not sure though.

So being able to finally see it properly, and now paring up their comments, especially his, I have some thoughts on it.

I lovveee when Scott said what he loves in ice dance (especially as they got older) is exploring characters and movement, the artistic side is what they really love to push (and given they were the best ice dancers in the world athletically they could be bold and push artistic boundaries). I really really loved when he said that he likes stuff (art) that is ‘kinda raw and chills you to the bone’.

That’s exactly the vibe I get from Carmen. It is so raw, so chilling, makes you uncomfortable in the best way watching to brilliant artists and athletes fucking go for it!

Depending on how you view the ending of Carmen (I’ve given a few examples in the past); they have said that in their story ‘Carmen doesn’t actually die but it’s Don Jose who’s kinda this ruined man’. There is so much in this final ending pose. It could be interpreted as her killing him- either literally or emotionally- she’s ruined him and there’s nothing left of him- he’s not but he may as well be dead.

Knowing that’s the kind of stuff they loved to perform and Scott especially saying that’s where he loves to be as an artist, him saying he ‘loves this picture’,- like he loves that moment in Carmen and the story that lead to that moment, he loves that T got to play this fierce, dominate woman and he got to play off that.

It gives ME CHILLS.

They weren’t just athletes, they truly were artists and weren’t afraid of that- pushing dark and disturbing themes even when it didn’t result in high scores. They get it and I feel so close to them hearing them say that they loved being artists and sharing these beautiful, unique experiences together! 💖

Almost all times, Leila thought.  But she saw no need in pointing that out - the boys were already in trouble. And it appeared that Fred’s lack of manners wasn’t helping things. Mrs. Weasley narrowed her eyes at her son. “You keep your mouth closed while you’re eating!” she snapped.

Fred’s mouth immediately clamped shut before he swallowed hard.  Knowing Fred like she did, it was immensely entertaining to see someone able to get to Fred like that. Fred then eyed George to continue.

“They were starving them, Mum!” George added, careful not to take a bite of food before speaking.  Instead, from behind his back, he tossed Leila a muffin which she nearly missed catching.  “I mean, just look at them!”

Leila scoffed out loud, ready to retort look at yourself, but before she could protest, Ron chimed in.

“There were bars on their window, Mum!” Ron added before sneaking a rather large bite of food in his mouth.

Mrs Weasley quickly turned on her heel, practically jabbing her finger in Ron’s shoulder. “You’d best hope I don’t put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley!”

Ron gulped his food down, nearly choking on it.

Mrs Weasley then rounded on the twins and narrowed her eyes, looking between Fred and George. “And you’d best hope I don’t accidentally starve you.”

Fred and George glanced sideways at each other before Fred asked his mother, “Which one of us are you starving?”

Mrs Weasley groaned and threw her hands up in the air in frustration. “We never had this much trouble with Bill . . . or Charlie . . . or Percy.  Not even combined!  Where did we go wrong?”

Esme LOVES animals and owns quite a number of them lol. In the main series, there's two dogs (a German Shepherd named Macaroni and an Australian Shepherd named Saju), a handful of hamsters and guinea pigs, a hedgehog, some rabbits, a few goats, three pot bellied pigs, several goats, and a number of chickens.

Esme is very relaxed and casual when it comes to her wardrobe. Jean shorts, yoga shorts/pants, sweats, leggings, tanks and t-shirts (she loves to wear Tyler's shirts, though), and quite a number of cotton sundresses. But she does have some 'fancy' clothes; designer pantsuits and formal dresses (and some expensive bling to go with them). She also owns a lot of Uggs and Crocs lol

Other than English, Esme speaks French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Pashto, Dari, and some Czech (from her time living in Prague)

Esme is extremely self conscious about her looks (especially since having so many kids), and can be irrationally jealous (the thirsty bitches for example) and a tad neurotic (okay, maybe more than a tad lol)

Esme is stoic, even if she's falling apart inside. The only death she's been through (although Tyler's come close), and that was when she was seventeen and her father passed away. But even then she felt she needed to be strong and resilient for those around her.

Esme knows her fair share of swear words lol. But for the most part she's vibrant and bubbly when she speaks, often giving people the impression that she's childish or 'ditzy'. In reality, she's extremely intelligent and well read AND spoken. And that comes out to play quite often.

In her line of work, she's learned that sometimes violence is the only answer

Esme has grown a lot. In the way she trusts Tyler and has opened up to him and matured with him, to how she is as a mother, to how she's healed from the torment that Mark put her through, and to how she's no longer afraid to speak up to her mother.

When it comes to people that aren't within her circle, she tends to keep her time in the job and the things she's done a secret from others.

She does enjoy the arts. Reading, writing (journaling), and creating (knitting and crocheting). But she also enjoys theatre, concerts (of all genres), and spent a lot of time in NYC and Prague touring museums and galleries

No. She's not a science buff. At all. And would about to barely passing all through high school.

She's definitely a day person. And much to Tyler's dismay, a morning person.

It was one extreme or the other: bottle it up or freak out. Now she's discovered coping mechanisms like working out, yoga, meditation.

She definitely felt pretty helpless when she was married to Mark. She didn't see a way of possibly escaping the hell he was putting her through and was pretty certain he'd end up killing her. I would also add the time she fled Australia and went into hiding from the High Table, and when she spent those months at Tyler's bedside after Dhaka. There were a lot of helpless moments just sitting there, unable to help him or fix things.

Fun statistics time:

- In 2023 per September, I already wrote 57k words.

- THIS IS LIKE A COUPLE OF BOOKS yet it's all slash fanfics about characters from Thai BL/QL/gen series xD

- I even worked for a few months writing articles about my obsession with some of these shows. Like professionally. Made some directors/crew of those shows happy^^

(i actually speedran learning how to write in english because my writing was clumsy at best if you look at my previous fandom and first fics on ao3, and now I'd like to think my fics are not that bad)

But damn. The way Not Me, Bad Buddy, The Eclipse, Be my Favorite, Moonlight Chicken and Only Friends just inspired the heck out of me??

I'm personally shocked. I literally picked up writing and drawing again because in my other kpop fandom the creative community has gradually died down, and here I'm like. Friends! Prompts! Fests! Meta posts! Fix-it fics! Character studies after every episode! Crossover AUs! Comics! Arts from pretty pictures!!

(tbh my drawings became worse in a sense that I do fast sketches after episodes or photos that inspired me and don't do heavy illustrations that take a long time; but also I write 3-4k fics in one sitting and I guess that's what my creative soul wants to focus on🍀)

Damn. I love you guys (my discord friends especially) for enabling me and I love these shows (even tho I interact with them and actors not in an intended fanservice way probably) and I didn't expect to fall into something like this. But that's truly what I needed.
