LOCATION — Vinyl Countdown.
WHEN — August 18th, 2020.
WHO — Elijah & Aslihan ( @draslihanxfahri-bailey ).
FLASHBACK THREAD.
The atmosphere of Vinyl Countdown had always been warm and inviting to Elijah, pleasantly peaceful and relaxing, but he'd found it especially so on the days that he knew they got their shipments in. After living in Colorado again nearly a year, he'd made it a habit to stop by the record shop at least once a week, every week, on the same day around noon — a poor habit financially, he was sure, but a habit nonetheless — and if he was honest, it worked wonders for him. His apartment was certainly beginning to overflow with unnecessary purchases, but his heart grew a bit fuller each time he picked out a record from the pile that he hadn't yet seen. Were they really unnecessary, then? He found himself asking that question often, each time his fingers sorted through the shelves, but he honestly couldn't be fucked to figure out the answer. It made him happy, and that was what mattered. Lord knows he fucking needed that nowadays.
Two different records under his arm in the span of fifteen minutes, Elijah continued to browse the selection, humming the song under his breath that played quietly over the store's speakers — one of his favorites, This Must Be the Place by Talking Heads. It occurred to him then that he couldn't remember if he owned the album it came on in vinyl yet, and he took a brief pause from the Folk section in order to see if they had any copies in stock. He turned the corner, entirely in his own world until he saw someone else looking in the same area, coincidentally holding exactly what he'd been looking for. "Seems I'm not the only one with the right idea, huh?" he spoke up as he approached, sliding in right beside her with a friendly smile on his face. "You didn't happen to see if they had another one of those laying around, did you, love? Figured I'd snag it if I could, while it's on the brain and all."

Curhat Pillu Kekasih Alumni 212 Korban First Travel :Begini Rasanya Ditipu Orang Dengan Kedok Agama - FROM SUARASOSMED
Gusti Allah mboten sare. It was far, far too easy to get lost in your own mind in a place like this — Elijah found that out rather quickly, having spent several hours holed up between the aisles during one of his first visits, listening to the music softly play over the store’s speakers. That understanding was why he couldn’t exactly blame the woman for jumping at the sound of his voice. However, he could admit that startling her definitely wasn’t a single part of his intentions. Nor did he even think it was possible, to be honest, what with the blaring height disparity between them and all. That wouldn’t stop him from being slightly amused, though; the corners of his lips pulled into a tiny smile and he shook his head, finding himself apologizing first before saying anything else. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I really should’ve said excuse me first. My manners must've ran off somewhere without me.”
Properly facing her now, he couldn’t help the way his dark hues trailed over her frame. In this context, subtly hadn’t always been his strong suit, but thankfully (or unfortunately?) it didn’t appear that she noticed, and he watched her fumble to get the second record, biting back an even larger smile as she turned towards him again with it in hand. She was gorgeous, that much was undeniable, and with seemingly good music taste as well? As subjective and superficial as that all was, could he really be blamed for loitering in this conversation way longer than he needed to? He didn’t think so. “Thank you,” he said simply, the option to leave it at that fully on the table, turning around and heading towards the checkout made horribly easy for him as the clerk stepped away from stocking shelves to ring up another customer a mere few feet away. Except he didn’t. Didn’t move a muscle, actually. He lingered, and it paid off in full as she continued. “Oh, is it? You know, it pains me a little to admit, but I actually don’t listen to that version all that much. Something about the original just . . . feels nostalgic to me, I suppose,” he shared, “Although, maybe I should. Nothing wrong with switching it up.” Fiddling with the album in his hands for a moment, the sudden thought that he hadn’t introduced himself popped into his brain, and he rectified that by saying, “Elijah, by the way. Uh — Eli, if that suits your fancy. May I ask yours? Since you made my day by grabbing this for me, it only seems fitting to address you properly. Manners, and all.”

With a few more weeks before the schoolyear began and she were to start her first year teaching at Summit Lake High, Aslihan was trying to become acquainted with Providence Peak. Though, part of her was a little nervous to be out and about too much. One of these days, she knew she was going to have to find Atlas. That she needed to tell him about the three year old they shared, the one with his hazel eyes and mischievous smile. That his whole entire life was about to change. That he might hate her, a complete 360 from the last message she received from him in her favourite book. This was going to happen. But, as of right now, the scholar was trying to focus on getting to know the town. With her new roommate, Raymond Becker, offering to watch over Alex during her nap so that she could check out downtown, she'd been hesitant to leave at first before agreeing. At the time, not realizing that her whole world was going to change.
Roaming around, the summer weather still hot yet fortunately a nice breeze going through, Asli hadn't been sure which shop to check out first until she spotted the record shop. She smiled to herself over the pun of its name before heading in. While she still needed to buy a record, the one she had still back in London, she wasn't going to stop herself from getting a record or two so that she would be ready once the time came. Roaming around, she hummed softly along with the music. Hearing Talking Heads playing overhead only made her smile widen and she was quick to try and find them. Sighing with relief that she grabbed the second to last record, holding it close to her as she checked out some of the other records nearby. She'd been about to go off to find Fleetwood Mac, still humming along to the song, when the sudden voice caused her to jump. She'd been in her own world completely that she hadn't see the man at first. Trying so hard to settle her fast-beating heart, she felt her cheeks grew warm as she smiled. Brushing some of her bangs out of her eyes before nodding. "Oh, yes! There's one more." Looking back, Asli was quick to grab the last record before looking back at the taller man. Her cheeks only becoming more pink over the term as she held it out to him. Clocking by his accent, she knew that the term was more so general than anything. Yet, it didn't stop her from becoming more bashful over hearing it. Especially considering how beautiful the tall, Welsh stranger is. "I, um, I love this song. This Must Be The Place. It's one of my favourites. I also really like The Lumineers version." ||📜@elifalvey
