Cuối tuần qua, tựa game Battle Royale PUBG Mobile đã phải ngừng mọi hoạt động tại Ấn Độ và đóng cửa server của mình theo mệnh lệnh của chính phủ nước này. Nó là một trong số 118 ứng dụng và game có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc bị Bộ công nghệ thông tin và điện tử Ấn Độ ra lệnh cấm hồi tháng 9 vừa qua. Theo thông báo của cơ quan này, các ứng dụng kể trên bị cấm vì những mối lo ngại có liên quan đến quyền riêng tư và an ninh quốc gia bởi chúng có liên quan đến các công ty Trung Quốc.

Vào ngày 7/9 vừa qua, chỉ vài ngày sau khi lệnh cấm PUBG Mobile và 117 tựa game khác được công bố, một studio làm game Ấn Độ có trụ sở tại Bangalore là Ncore Games công bố một tựa game khác cũng rất giống PUBG. Trò chơi này có tên FAU:G (có nghĩa là Fearless and United: Guards) và nội dung tập trung vào việc các đơn vị quân đội Ấn Độ đối phó với các hiểm họa đe dọa an ninh quốc gia nước này.

Một báo cáo từ tờ Indian Express nói rằng một số nội dung của game sẽ xoay quanh các cuộc đụng độ tại vùng thung lũng Galwan, Himalaya – một điểm nóng ở biên giới Ấn Độ hiện tại. Nhà sáng lập Ncore Games là ông Vishal Gondal nói rằng 20% lợi nhuận của trò chơi sẽ được quyên góp cho một hiệp hội từ thiện trợ giúp các cựu binh nước này.

Vishal Gondal, Co-founder of Indian game developing company, that announced an action game FAU-G moderated by actor Akshay Kumar, issues a statement addressing the rumours surrounding it. In a statement, Vishal clarifies, “This statement is being issued to address certain ongoing conversations/rumours on social media that FAU- G was conceptualized by late actor Shri Sushant Singh Rajput, which is completely false and baseless."

"nCore was founded in 2019 by an Indian entrepreneur Mr Vishal Gondal and Mr Dayanadhi MG & others who have been in the gaming industry for over 20 years. It involves a team of over 25 programmers, artists, testers, designers who have worked on top gaming titles in the past and are currently developing the FAU- G game. Vishal Gondal started his 1st gaming company Indiagames in 1998 which was sold 100% to Walt Disney in 2012 and he is also called the father of Indian gaming industry. nCore is a mobile games and interactive entertainment company, based out of Bangalore, India. We create and publish category-defining mobile games for the Indian market. Mr. Akshay Kumar has been a mentor to nCore. On the plagiarism row, he adds, “Further, there are stories doing the rounds that the poster of our action game, FAU-G, is plagiarised. We would like to further clarify that we have officially bought the license to use the image from Shutter Stock. According to nCore, the game is based on real scenarios of domestic and foreign threats encountered by the Indian Security Forces. In teams of five, players will be able to collaborate and fight. The game is expected to launch at the end of October with its first level set in the backdrop of Galwan Valley, followed by third person shooting gameplay in the subsequent releases. The game will be available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
