#F1twt is really insane and the official accounts do nothing to help

These kinds of posts are treading into very dangerous territory. Team admins should not be using ship names. Let fans enjoy duos on their own, but do not mention it, and do not play into it.

The article that F1 just posted about Charles and Max is very clearly trying to play into the high interest in lestappen(it also told us nothing we didn't already know so it made it even more blatantly obvious what it was trying to do) Even the quote at the top is a blatant attempt at fan-service.

We've been here before, we saw what happens when these lines get crossed in hockey.

These are multi-million dollar sports teams. They should not be using ship names to talk about their drivers. They should not be attempting to do anything close to fanservice when it comes to popular ships.

I want to enjoy the fandom side of things with ships and keep that separate from the actual teams and drivers. Social media admins are not respecting their own drivers when they do things like this. Leave them alone and let me ship in peace.

This is why I like tumblr, it really is one of the last real places where we can have a fandom space that isn't going to be seen by celebs/creators etc.
