#artstudio space: Everyone #artist has his or her particularities for how they like to work. It’s about establishing a flow that feels natural and lends itself to the work. The work space needs to be somewhere you enjoy spending time. Not all your time, but a few dedicated hours each day. It was difficult for me to establish an art creation space in the new house as it is MUCH smaller than previous homes. It took some time for me to just live in the space and figure out where I most enjoyed spending time and also get some good light to work by. Initially it was a small bedroom off the main lounge. As the weeks went by I realized I was finding alternative projects (excuses) and not producing art. I most enjoyed the main lounge space with its abundant natural light. With the blessing of my wife, who also had to share the space, I moved the studio furniture into the lounge and have found it easier to engage with the work.
