Solar Return Observation (Saturn Edition)
Saturn in 6H being more responsible in your day-to-day life. Sometimes you feel like you have to drag yourself to do the simplest thing. The year when you may start living alone (like literally alone, no friends, relatives, etc). Difficulty in getting a job, or the year when you work for a role which doesn't fit your expectation. Maybe even being responsible of animals, pets, health, coworkers, etc. An overall dreaded feeling in day-to-day. The beauty of this placement is that it reminds you to cherish the most basic thing in your life, like stuff that you may took for granted before.
Saturn in 9H can literally mean facing obstacles in higher education. The experiment may failed, the data may be missing, the theory may be wrong. The people you're working with can be difficult. Since Saturn demands effort, you have to be disciplined and work consistently to finish all that has been started. A lot of philosophical or theoretical contemplation. Also challenges while living abroad, or having responsibilities in foreign country.
Saturn in 11H feeling of unbelonging, lost of community, feeling of isolation and loneliness. Almost like you have lost your tribe, feeling of not fitting in places. The placement overlay to your natal placement may give out the main reason of this event. (e.g. SR Saturn in Natal 4th house may feel like they did not belong because of how the new places is so different from where they came from, you may be put in new situation which lack of familiarity with your roots. SR Saturn in Natal 6th house may feel isolated in day-to-day life, or because of health matter).
The sign of Saturn is how you can adjust to the challenge
Saturn in Sagittarius needs you to be open-minded to new cultures and people who are not familiar to your background. You may need to be more extroverted too. Keep an open-mind, be receptive of people's opinion, being more optimistic. Religion or beliefs may help you to go through the challenge.
Saturn in Aquarius ngl with this placement I kind of resorted to online activity more lmao. The internet kinda helps, literally. Use the internet for the goods. Use it to educate you, to make friends, and to unleash your creativity. Technology is there to benefit you. Aquarius also speaks about embracing your unique self, networking, and taking part in your environment/community.
Saturn in Pisces this placement puts you in situation that exercise your empathy. Use your intuition, your feelings. Get in tune with your spiritual sides. Saturn asks you to be giving, give out unconditional love, but also do not forget your boundary. You can be kind, but don't lose yourself for other people.
Saturn Retrograde is the time when it gets especially difficult for you to change the situation. You may not realize that you've made it or you've nailed the lesson. A lot of times, Retrograde Saturn cues more to internal work. Your situation may not changed drastically, but your mind learned something. It feels like a very personal journey. A private experience, which no one would understand but yourself. It is exclusively accessible for you and you only. So yes, expect a reconstruction of your inner framework. It can also be frustrating because you can't just "show" people that you've learned Saturn's lesson. However, trust the process. The change does show in your action, your mindset, and even your heart.
Thank you for reading

Dwarf fortress update: world #2
This is going much better since now I know what I'm doing with administrating tasks. My population is at 75 and dwarves mostly happy (or at least neutral) now that i have the food and alcohol running more or less automatically
My strategy for keeping the dwarves happy is basically to just browse through their thoughts and figure out what they would like to have/do.
A lot of them get unhappy when "remembering trauma." Too bad "therapist" isn't one of the workshops.
I have literally thousands of raw mussels. I haven't seen a body of water nearby except for "murky pool". Where are they coming from??
If you make stepladders, the dwarves use them to pick fruit off the trees! I have a tropical biome this time so there is a huge abundance of fruit.
I have a yak herd going and I just kill most of the bulls periodically for fresh meat.
My dwarf children keep getting kidnapped????
The stockpile system is fucking CURSED.
The amount of feeding stockpiles into other stockpiles I have to do in order to get a smelter running let alone forge weapons? Horrible
I was using bins to make items stack, and my weapons stockpile had a bin in it.
After about 3 in-game years had passed, for some reason mining and tree chopping orders just...stopped working. Like the tiles would just stay highlighted for eternity.
This persisted for like. 2 more years in game. I figured out quickly that part of the problem was that all of the axes and pickaxes were gone. I had no idea why. I tried all manner of convoluted looney tunes bullshit to try to make new ones without any wood for charcoal and without the ability to mine anything else. I demolished the wagon for wood, but my dumb ass forgot about the work orders I had set and the wood was immediately converted into doors. So next I demolished all the carpenter shops. It was not enough wood.
Eventually I ended up just buying a bunch of wood from the trading caravan and after a protracted battle with my interrelated network of stockpiles, smelted iron bars. Then set the metalsmith to make axes and picks.
The work orders ran just fine. The mining and chopping still wasn't working. I went to my stocks and tracked the location of the new weapons and was led to a wooden bin in the weapons stockpile.
How. do you REMOVE. WEAPONS. FROM THE BIN
For around half an hour I experimented with stockpiles, attempting to force the bin to disgorge its contents. I made and destroyed many different stockpiles with different settings. When the weapons bin was forced into a stockpile that didn't accept bins, it didn't release its contents, instead it became invisible and somehow stacked underneath a different item in the stockpile.
Finally, I figured out the workaround: I made a garbage dump, went into the contents of the bin and marked each individual weapon within as garbage. I'm pretty sure I marked the bin itself as "forbidden?" Anyway after the whole thing was in the garbage, I un-garbaged the weapons one by one, made another weapons stockpile that didn't accept bins, and after fucking with it for a while I liberated the weapons from the Bin of No Return (which stayed forbidden and in the garbage)
At some point in the process all the weapons ended up forbidden and somehow stacked together in one tile. I had to manually unforbidden all of them and destroy and remake stockpiles and garbage dumps several times.
Mining and chopping orders STILL AREN'T WORKING
I try manually equipping pickaxes and axes to dwarves under the "squads" tab. No dice.
Finally. FINALLY. I go into the dwarves' jobs and set it so the miners can ONLY mine EXCLUSIVELY and set some dwarves to be locked into wood cutting as well. This, on top of everything else, fixes the problem.
Don't use bins. Got it.
A cyclops randomly attacked my fortress. I hadn't trained my military or anything so I was worried it would do a lot of damage, but my dwarves killed it pretty much instantly
I saw under the "engrave memorial slab" tab that there was an option to engrave a memorial slab to the cyclops. Which I did, just in case.
I found an underground cavern. Since I found the underground cavern I have been getting "petitions" every 5 minutes with adventurers volunteering to come kill monsters. I have like 12 of them in my fortress now.
Also a bunch of mushrooms are growing up into the areas of my fortress with dirt floors, and several of them can be farmed as underground crops??? I have a room in my fortress that grows "cave wheat" now
i'm guessing the next step is to train my military but idk where to start with that

I've been thinking about why my QQQ in In Tune is Like That and it sort of all ties back to how I made her background - as in, growing up in an emperor's harem. Part of this is an answer I made to someone's comment, but it basically sums things up:
Like, in her mind she's using this unexpected turn of misfortune to eke out more independence for her peak, so if things turn even worse (which she fully expects. After all, YQY is really quite a good man, the exception to the rule if you will, and she knows that slaves can be reliable workers - the emperors have eunuchs in high management positions after all - but straight up leadership positions? No, nobody important would stand for that, this will bring the sect low for sure) she can swoop in and use her connections to save him from doom and then YQY will be happy that she didn't let his impulsiveness to kill a man over a personal slight drag her down with them all!
Perfect plan and she's certain she can find allies who will back her, the person encouraging this madness the most is SQQ after all and ugh, nobody likes that guy. She's sure that freeing the slaves after they became lords was also his idea to see how much power he has over YQY - why else would have YQY cared to do something so wasteful? He's not a slave anymore, so really he had no reason to do something so opening controversial, if not as yet another futile attempt to please that horrible SQQ.
...basically she lives in a rear-palace drama and playing the role of the ambitious consort and she isolated herself so much from the other peaks that she's not realizing that she's the only one thinking like this, actually.
Plus maintaining a spy network in the imperial courts, representing CQMS in that social sphere and preparing her disciples for leaving the sect and marrying men in high positions, thus returning to the politics of the palace environment, is such a big part of her duties that she doesn't step out into the world of commoners like ever. Sometimes she is forced to attend cultivator events, like the IAC, but even those are rare occasions.
She's the only one in the sect in this particular social sphere (LQG is from a noble family, but he left early and lives almost exclusively in the world of cultivators, WQW is the son of a general but his family was caught up in a regime change and executed) and she's stuck. She was born into and lives in a world of politics the others (YQY, SQQ, sometimes SQH) only reluctantly step into and never for long and it isolates her even more, in a way that's actually a little sad. She's living in a world that's almost as cruel as SQQ's, but in completely different way and by trying to do right by YQY and her disciples in her world, she's just further antagonizing her martial siblings.
#shut up tc#like. do I regret a little that she's such a bitch? yes#but I established her imperial background and it all just came from that#overly long meta I can't put in the main tag bc it's very specific to my fic and it will probably offend someone who likes qqq? yeah sure#might as well

💥💰 Revealed: The Secret Empire of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Morgans 💰💥
Prepare to uncover the shocking truth about the world's most influential families and their iron grip on the global economy. The Federal Reserve Cartel, comprised of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Morgans, holds unparalleled power that extends far beyond the realm of oil.
Picture this: The Four Horsemen of Banking, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo, join forces with the Four Horsemen of Oil, such as Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, BP, and Chevron Texaco. But their domination doesn't stop there. They have extended their reach to encompass the music industry through an intricate network of private banks. These behemoths, along with Deutsche Bank, BNP, Barclays, and other European old money giants, control the strings of the music industry, enabling them to dictate its direction and influence.
The nefarious deeds of the Rockefeller dynasty are far-reaching, starting with their military-commercialization of music in the early 1900s. They orchestrated a diabolical plan to shift the world's standard tuning of music to 440 pitch. This insidious frequency was known to provoke greater aggression, psychosocial agitation, emotional distress, and even physical illnesses. Behind the scenes, this manipulation led to financial gains for those complicit in the monopoly, including agents, agencies, and companies connected to the North American Rockefeller crime cartel and elite organizations.
Fast forward to the late 1980s, when the Rockefellers summoned the top music executives and talent to a highly secretive meeting in Los Angeles. Their sinister agenda? To usher in the era of Controlled Rap Music, tightly linked to the privatization of U.S. prisons. These privately owned prisons, operated by the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Bush family, and other influential figures, served as money laundering operations, tax exemption schemes, and pyramid scheme operations.
The Rockefellers devised a cunning plan to control the rap industry and target black communities by promoting violent music that fueled oppression and civil unrest. They brought together top executives and leading black artists, binding them with confidentiality agreements. Their objective was clear: coordinate the violence within the rap music movement, while major record labels gained exclusive rights for production and distribution across the United States. As a reward, they would receive shares and points within the private prison systems.
The Masonic plan unfolded with precision, resulting in over 1,500 private prison systems housing more than 1 million black teenagers by 1990. These vulnerable youths, expressing the generational trauma imposed upon them, unknowingly contributed to the Rockefellers' malevolent scheme. The private prison systems reaped billions annually from the government, creating a vast money laundering network through inflated products, such as ramen noodles priced 8 times higher than their actual value. The flow of hundreds of billions from government funding, pyramid schemes, and insurance companies transformed the privatization of prisons into a multi-trillion-dollar venture.
Local courts and judges mercilessly sentenced petty criminals and first-time offenders, filling the ever-expanding private prisons. As a result, the United States now holds the dubious record for the highest number of incarcerated individuals in the world, with an unprecedented number of prisons. This was not an accident—it was a meticulously orchestrated plan by the Rockefellers.
But their influence doesn't end there. These silent thieves also manipulate elections, ensuring their grip on power remains unbroken.
Unmasking the true face of those who control the world, the Rothschilds and Rockefellers find themselves in the crosshairs of military alliance operations aimed at dismantling the Rothschilds' deep state power in Europe, the UK, Russia, and China.

Massive Heist Busted by United Authorities, Curfew Imposed in Sora District
𝐔𝐍𝐍 (𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤) - 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝟐𝟒𝟎𝟓
New Jakarta, Mars – In an unprecedented operation, THE OVERSEERS today disrupted a high-stakes heist involving a significant quantity of the highly sought-after drug, NEMESIS. The drug, notorious for its temporary enhancement of strength, durability, speed, and healing, has long been at the centre of the city’s black market. However, this latest incident has escalated concerns to an all-time high. According to official reports, a gang rumoured to be the THE SKELETON CREW infiltrated a secure production facility and made off with large quantities of NEMESIS. Authorities have not disclosed the exact amount stolen, but sources within the investigation describe it as “enough to flood the underground market for months.” The drug offers short-lived enhancements but carries severe risks with frequent use, including physical deformities and irreversible health issues. In response to this bold theft, the SORA DISTRICT has been placed under a strict 11PM curfew, effective immediately. Officials claim the measure is necessary to protect residents, though rumours are swirling that those with enough wealth and influence might find ways to circumvent these restrictions. The curfew has sparked outrage among some citizens, while others are relieved by the increased security presence in their district. The heist’s execution has also raised alarms in the MAWAR DISTRICT, where public transportation systems are now under intense scrutiny. Speculation is rife that the gang utilised these networks to conduct their operation, slipping through the cracks of New Jakarta’s tightly monitored infrastructure. As a result, transit authorities have ramped up surveillance, leading to widespread delays and frustrations among commuters. Members of the THE ISLES, in particular are in danger of being mistaken for THE SKELETON CREW. Adding to the tension, an underground racing bust in the AKUMU SLUMS has led to the detention of the area’s most notorious street racer, known only by the alias SHATTERSTAR. Sources indicate that this arrest is connected to the broader investigation into THE GREY LILLIES, though details remain scarce. The AKUMU SLUMS, already rife with unrest, are now on edge as residents grapple with the implications of SHATTERSTAR’S capture and the increased presence in OVERSEERS. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the urgency of capturing those responsible before more Nemesis floods the streets. The city’s black market has long been a thorn in the side of New Jakarta’s leaders, and this latest incident only underscores the ongoing battle to maintain order in a city where the lines between law and chaos are increasingly blurred. Stay tuned to UNN for updates as this story develops.
SIDENOTE:
While UNN remains tight-lipped about certain details, sources close to the investigation have revealed that the NEMESIS vials were stolen from a facility linked to X ACADEMY. This connection raises questions about the involvement of high-profile figures within New Jakarta's elite circles. In a parallel move, the elusive GOLDEN TEARS have been dispatched to extract information about the drug's location from the SKELETON CREW. The tension between these factions is palpable, and the stakes are higher than ever as the city buzzes over these recent events.
OOC INFORMATION:
Welcome to our first mini-event and the kickoff for opening interactions! We hope this plot drop sparks inspiration for your open starters, exclusive threads, and unleashes the tension between your muses! Your characters can dive into the chaos—whether they’re part of the heist, caught in the racing bust, defying the curfew, frustrated by the delays in public transportation, or mourning the absence of SHATTERSTAR from the streets!
IC DATE: 3rd week of August, 2405 OOC DATE: 15th of August - end date to be announced PARTICIPATION: mandatory! THREADS OUTSIDE OF EVENT: allowed!

META - What "canon" is in Malevolent, for the purposes of this blog
TL;DR:
In order of most 'I accept this as meaningful to the story of Malevolent' to most 'do not bring me this crap'
Canon:
The podcast itself
The official podcast transcripts from the website (I edit out the emotion tags because I often find them redundant or disagree with their assessment /no offense; I super appreciate transcriptionist work! Thank you so much for providing the accessibility resource to fans who need and want it /genuine <3 )
I guess I'll hear you out if you think it's really important:
Call of Cthulhu lore
Original Lovecraft lore
Supplemental Q&A's on main podcast feed
Supplemental Q&A's on other social media
Just don't:
Patreon-locked content
Pay-locked content
Invictus stream / Patreon chats / Discord / speculation about author/writing choices
Malevolent is a weird story. I've seen it marketing itself as an ARG, or an alternate reality game. From Wikipedia -
"An alternate reality game (ARG) is an interactive networked narrative that uses the real world as a platform and employs transmedia storytelling to deliver a story that may be altered by players' ideas or actions. The form is defined by intense player involvement with a story that takes place in real time and evolves according to players' responses. It is shaped by characters that are actively controlled by the game's designers, as opposed to being controlled by an AI as in a computer or console video game. Players interact directly with characters in the game, solve plot-based challenges and puzzles, and collaborate as a community to analyze the story and coordinate real-life and online activities. ARGs generally utilize multimedia, such as telephones and mail, but rely on the Internet as the central binding medium."
So, what are the multiple media that make up Malevolent?
First of all, I want to explain for anyone who might not know all these details: Malevolent is a weekly podcast. Every week, ~15-20 minutes of story is delivered as a Chapter to the Malevolent Patreon Patrons. Each week, those Patrons vote on one big choice that the characters will make in the following week's episode. These Patrons are called The Voices. Every 4 weeks, those 4 story Chapters are collected into one episode called a Part and shared with the public. The Patreon also shares exclusive author interviews, commentary, silly songs/other miscellaneous bonus content, plus access to the Malevolent Patreon Discord channel, in which the author and his wife are moderators and off-and-on participants in fan discussions about the show (including commentary about character backstories, motivations, what ships are/are not canon, etc). Higher-paying tiers get access to more channels.
Most of Malevolent's listeners have access to the Parts as hour-long episodes, plus whatever supplemental material is shared on the podcast feed. A small contingent of highly financially supportive fans have access to everything.
With that legwork out of the way...
Below is a list what I understand to be all the possible layers of "canon" in Malevolent, followed by an explanation of how deeply this blog will consider it as a source. This list is in order from most canon (1) to least/not at all canon (9). More sources are added as they come up.
These numbers also (probably, maybe) roughly align with listener drop-off rates. Imagine funnel-like drop-offs in number of people who care enough to engage this ancillary of material. Also keep in mind the listeners who are tuning in for the first time, 20 years from now. How much will they get from this source?
The podcast itself - this will be the blog's prime canon source. This is the primary story source from which the vast, vast majority of all readers and listeners - now and decades in the future - have access to.
The podcast transcripts - this is its own category because the transcripts often editorialize (not a bad thing - just necessary product of translating one art medium into another). I've come away from episodes with a strong impression of one line delivery (ex: delighted), then find that in the transcript, it's described totally different (ex: disgusted). I will use the transcripts as my primary source for this blog. I usually delete the tone indicators. I also add MR. to Mr. Scratch's dialogue tags after he asks Arthur to call him that.
Call of Cthulu roleplay game - I'm not familiar with this and I don't think most listeners of the show will be, either. The relevance of this source will be considered on a touch-and-go basis.
H.P. Lovecraft extended universe - I have not read much Lovecraft and I don't want to start. The relevance of this source will be considered on a touch-and-go basis.
Supplemental interviews, episode commentary, Q&As available on main podcast feed - The author very regularly provides thoughts on the story and writing of Malevolent. I will consider this source as little as possible. If you have some information from here you think is important for me to hear, I will consider it; but please understand that 1) the VAST majority of listeners will not hear this, even if it's not cost-gated; and 2) not everyone who hears it believes/respects authorial self-reporting. No offense but no way
Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, or other social media commentary - similar to 5, with less weight because even fewer listeners will ever find this or seek it out. Also, social media is highly susceptible to internet decay.
Invictus CoC games - not considered. I might look into these later (WAY less thoroughly than the main WoM blog), but also I might not. These are Call of Cthulu games that were DM-ed by the author of Malevolent. There are some overlapping characters like Anna Stanczyk and Frank Uphill. Even if you're into these pls you have to admit that most of the Malevolent listening audience will not watch them.
Supplemental, Patreon-exclusive content - NO. If it can't be accessed without paying or signing up for a website, naw.
Semi-private discussions from heavily gated discord groups - NO. Let's not
Speculation about the author - NO. This includes speculation on whether or not ____ is intentional, or why writing choices were/weren't made.

Happy 70th Birthday Speedy Gonzales
Another one of the most famous cartoon characters of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of short films, and the second most prominent foreigner character of the WB cartoon cast next to Pepe Le Pew.
dailymotion
First appeared in Robert McKimson’s “Cat-Tails for Two” of the prototype Speedy......
......while his first official was in Friz Freleng’s 1955 Academy Award winning short of the same name, featuring a more refined and familiar Speedy.
Speedy proved to be successful and starred in several more cartoons with Sylvester, by either McKimson or Freleng. Despite these cartoons being one of the most famous and most memorable offerings of the Looney Tunes short film series, Friz Freleng would later admit he found the character to be too inflexible, eventually growing tired of him and wanted to put his focus on Slowpoke Rodríguez instead, which didn’t come about due to the amount of film it took to have Slowpoke doing pretty much anything.
While the character enjoyed the enduring popularity of the other Looney Tunes characters, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, he would later star in a rather infamous series of shorts where Daffy is paired with Speedy during the WB cartoons dark period during the DePatie-Freleng Enterprise and Warner Bros. Seven Arts era of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, and would later (along with another foreigner LT character, Pepe Le Pew) attract controversy due to perceived racial stereotypes. One of these stories involved Cartoon Network’s banning of the Speedy cartoons when the network had required the exclusive airing rights to the classic WB cartoon library 1999. Later, the network would include Speedy films in their schedule from then on.
Another story included a Tiny Toons character, Lighting Rodriguez being a Speedy Gonzales clone that Tom Ruegger didn’t use to avoid any sort of controversy.
Regardless, Speedy was a fine character who provide some great memorable moments and diversity in the Looney Tunes cartoons.

Greetings everyone! Welcome to the shiny new USUKUS Twice Per Year!
First off, apologies for the delay and general radio silence. Behind the scenes here, we had a lot to work through and discuss before we could resume running this event. We're excited to be back, and hope several of the changes we've made will make things easier and more appealing to participate than ever!
Second, I'm sure everyone has some questions, so in no particular order let me try to hit the highlights.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── Passing of the torch With great respect, we tip our hats to previous TPY event runners Mayumi Sato and Ixie Pixie. Exciting real life things have picked up for them, and they're no longer able to dedicate the time and energy to this like they used to. In their stead, we would like to introduce the new admins:
TheNarcolepticOne & VerusMaya II
TPY is now co-sponsored and run by and from the USUKUS Network Discord, though rest easy - as usual, all relevant information will still be posted and updated here at the tumblr. ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── Process changes? We've taken note of comments, concerns, and critiques of how previous events were run, and we hope the processes we've changed will alleviate several of these issues. Changes include how we accept theme suggestions, how participants submit their work, where information is posted, and overall timeline of each half of the event.
Don't fret, though - after all these changes, for the first half of this year's event, we'll take it slow and explain things step by step instead of dumping all the new stuff all at once. So stay tuned! ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── Wider range Previously, TPY was run almost exclusively from the tumblr with an isolated Discord. This kept many potential participants in the dark, and obfuscated the suggestion and decision making processes. We are happy to announce that TPY will be expanding its range to multiple avenues of media. Every and all announcement will be crossposted to all of these, so those interested can follow us on multiple sites or just tune in to their preferred!
You can find us at: Tumblr https://usukustwiceperyear.tumblr.com/ Twitter https://twitter.com/usukusnetwork/ Discord* https://discord.com/invite/QsaWuWCcQt
And contact us directly via: Email [email protected] Discord DM Verus#1337 or Narcoleptic#1918 * Instead of an isolated, specialized Discord just for TPY, we will be using the USUKUS Network as our staging ground. Everyone is welcome to join, and we will be happy to point you in the right direction for TPY-relevant announcements or discussion! ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding, and we look forward to many more years of incredible content for this beloved ship!

What Law & Order Thursday Could Look Like Next Season as Organized Crime Moves to Peacock
What Law & Order Thursday Could Look Like Next Season as Organized Crime Moves to Peacock
Could a Criminal Intent Reboot Be the Answer?
Coming off the heels of my recent post on the current state of the franchise and the news that broke earlier this week (via The Hollywood Reporter) - Law & Order: Organized Crime has a deal being made to be renewed to run a fifth season, exclusively on Peacock for 10 episodes, the first time an L&O series will air first-run episodes on a streaming service. NBC has yet to announce any plans on the 3rd hour of Law & Order Thursday, which begs the question is: what will Thursday nights look like next season as there will likely be a void in the 3rd hour without another L&O series in its place?
NBC's newest arrivals, Found and The Irrational could potentially be scheduled on Thursdays in the new season. NBC also has two dramas, Dr. Wolf and The Hunting Party, set for next season, with two more drama pilots: Suits L.A. (spinoff from USA Network's original series, Suits) and Grosse Pointe Garden Society — in the works. Meanwhile, NBC could also acquire rights to air Canada's CityTV's version of L&O, Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (10 episode 1st season) -- which hasn't been renewed for a 2nd season as of yet.
But from a Law & Order franchise/Wolf World perspective, this is a chance to see if there is another new iteration of the brand that can be in addition to the already robust brand as Wolf's worlds continually build themselves (the FBI franchise on CBS as well as One Chicago on NBC Wednesdays - which all are renewed for the upcoming season).
We all know pilot order spin-offs Hate Crimes (co created by Criminal Intent and SVU executive producer Warren Leight, originally posed for Peacock) and For The Defense (co created by CSI veteran executive producer Carol Mendelsohn) went to the back-burner and never became series. Also Wolf has the True Crime iteration (co creator L&O and CI executive producer Rene Balcer) of the brand that while isn't canceled in an official capacity, NBC hasn't shown recent interest in seeing it go on. Then there are 3 canceled former spinoffs; Criminal Intent (ended in 2011), Los Angeles (ended in 2011), and Trial by Jury (ended in 2005).
In interviews (one here via TV Line) and across social media, former stars Vincent D'Onofrio (Det. Robert Goren), Kathryn Erbe (Lt. Alexandra Eames), Alicia Witt (Det. Nola Falacci), and Annabella Sciorra (Lt. Carolyn Barek) as well as former executive producers Warren Leight, Julie Martin, Norberto Barba, and Michael Chernuchin - who all reunited as executive producers on SVU - have shown or voiced interest in a TV reboot of some kind. Star D'Onofrio stated on Twitter/X that the decision to reboot would ultimately be up to creator Dick Wolf but that he would love to reunite with Kathryn to do it.
The question is: would a Criminal Intent reboot be worth it for Wolf Entertainment/NBC to reboot and/or would it suffer the same fate as Organized Crime?
The answer? Yes. It would be totally be worth it for all involved. While stating the obvious, it brings our old favorites back into a new era of television and showing that element of the criminal mind and "why dunnit" in this new age that we live in, and of course the number of new jobs created as well as old jobs reopened; to this day Criminal Intent has something that Organized Crime hasn't, and that is syndication rights with a solid following still tuning in (even after the show has been off the air well over a decade)!
It is a factor that helped reboot the mothership series back in 2022 after NBC canceled it in 2010, the solid audience of syndication viewers (i.e. TNT, ION Television, WEtv), sales from home entertainment (DVDs/Amazon) and streaming services (Peacock) aided in NBC making the decision easy to reboot the flagship Law & Order series. And while the reboot isn't NBC's highest rated show, it's in the top 20 and performs pretty solid, enough to score a full 22-episode twenty-fourth (S4 of reboot), season next season. It also proves to be a great lead-in for SVU (renewed for S26), that comes on right after.
And much like the reboot and even SVU which has reinvented itself more than once over it's 25 seasons, not only could old viewers return, but this also opens the door to introduce the series to new viewers as well, especially if our favorites do make a return on screen.
What do you all think? With Organized Crime going to Peacock, could a Criminal Intent (or other spinoff) reboot help revitalize NBC Thursday nights as well as the franchise? Or is it time to try something new with the brand? Sound off!

Next up for Warner Bros Animation, favorite character from the second wave of the shows they produced for Cartoon Network from 2008-13, exclusively producing for Cartoon Network at that time due to Kids WB ending in 2008 from increasing competition with kids' cable channels making Saturday morning blocks on broadcast networks obsolete at that point: Batman the Brave and the Bold, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, MAD (may need to do favorite sketch instead of favorite character for that one since it's a sketch show with various one offs), Young Justice, The Looney Tunes Show, ThunderCats 2011, Green Lantern the Animated Series, Teen Titans Go (aka the show that Cartoon Network really loved to air alongside Gumball from 2015-20), and Beware the Batman?
This is a goood block and i'm happy to say i've seen all of it.
Batman Brave and the Bold: Aquaman. John DiMaggio and the writers took silver age aquaman and made him intresting and fun, a bombastic kindly man who may be in his own little world, but genuinely loves his family, batman and being a hero. He became probably the most recurring hero for good reason as every episode with him is a treat. It's also thanks to him we got this
youtube
Why this isn't a full on spinoff I don't know.
The show itself is one of my favorite dc shows. I've reviewed this one a few times at this point and given how much Kev loves it too, I defintely will again. I love a good bit of silver age nonsense, and Brave and the Bold embraces that tone, while not just focusing on the silver age as the series embraces dc as a whole: Heroes like the jason rusch firestorm (mixed with ronnie raymond... literally), jamie reyes and ted kord blue beetles, guy gardner green lantern, and even big swings like kamandi or haunted tank got included. Every bit of dc's long history up to this point was touched on in some way and it's clear the writers loved every inch of this universe while still bringing something new to it. While ther'es plenty of great bat content as Deidrich Bader is easily one of the best batmen, Brave and the Bold is at it's core about celebrating the dc universe in intresting ways, and it was a shame to see it go.
Scooby Doo Mystery Incorpeated: Fred. It's fred again. This time because it's the best fred, our trap hyperfixatd awkward prince. Taking Fred's weirdness and ramping it up and yet making him a sympathetic wholly likeable kid living
Though Sheriff Stone is a close second. The show itself is an awesome reboot of scooby doo, nicely updating with horrifying monsters and a nicely goofy sense of humor, blending both sides of scooby that have always been there together perfectly while adding a compelling mystery and eventual elder god story into the mix. The show admitely did have a rough start as whlie all the comeplling stuff was there including the gang's parents actually being present and the gang's day to day lives being a part of it for a change, now settled in a home base of crystal cove (the second time the series left the team to one location and not the last), it got bogged down by a love triangle between velma, shaggy and scooby
Yeah look I don't thinkt hey INTENDED for it to come off that way, they intended for it to be a platonic love triangle.. but tha'ts not how it comes off especially when Velma keeps ranting about dog issues after everything falls apart, yet still comes off like a horribly abusive monster who tried to change shaggy and didn't understand that maybe his dog, HER FRIEND was also important.
The Fred and Daphne thing is also mildly grating but thankfully is more nuanced ( as Fred , being heavily autisim coded (I say this as someone with autisim myself), simply misses daphne's cues and their adorable later and their breakup, while mildly contrived, does make sense at least as does their ineveitble reconceliation.
While the show does start rough, no question it quickly sheds the relationship drama for good character work, some of the best monsters of the week franchise wise and a comeplling mystery. It's got it's rough edges but man is this show good. Plus it's got tia carrere and gary cole in major roles and Marche LaMarche doing his best vincent price as vincent van ghoul. You.. really can't beat it and it's still a high water mark for the series.
MAD: I dont' really have a faviorite sketch as I only mildly remember this one. It wasn't bad though and I liked it's style, doing diffrent kinds of animatoin ala the magazine itself, which I read as a tween and teen and loved.
Young Justice: Wally. I love his evolution from mild fuckboy with a heart of gold to responsible boyfriend and hope he one day returns from the speed force. The show itself is decent. While I like the less family feel of the team after season 1, I do like the idea of the team (their rough version of the titans) being a strike force against a shadowy cabal of villians, the twists and turns and like Brave and the Bold being a celebration of the dcu, being essentially Greg Weissman's version of an ultimate universe. I didn't watch most of the revivial seasons, only watching the first half of season 3 but they were decent though I do feel the time jumps hurt the series a bit: the first worked fairly well but each successive one means we get less time with the characters as naturally years on each time their going to be in some diffrent place int heir lives. It works well enough to not wreck the show. The myth arc also is a bit too slow. Still it's hard to deny young justice is awesomea nd deserves a comic to wrap it all up at some point.
The Looney Tunes Show: Daffy... that.. should be pretty obvious given one of my most used reaction images
Daffy in this series is truly unhinged and a nice combination of his screwball earlier self and his later deadpan attention whore egotist self: he has the need for attention, massive ego and bitterness, mixed with the lack of selfawarness and over the top antics for what i consider to be the perfect daffy, being able to both deliver great dialouge and unhinged insnatiy. The man drives around in a parade float and was a wizard. The series as a whole is great, but Daffy is the standout and one of the main reasons it's as funny as it was.
So yeah the series is great and was badly unerapprciated, hated for not being the usual screwball looney tunes and instead being a sitcom about a pansexual rabbit and his bi diaster live in husband he's in an open relationship with as he tries to keep the latter from burning their lives down. And.. it works. Bugs and Daffy are tweaked slightly to fit but they still feel like my boys: Bugs is less sarcastic and can be more passive sure, but his trickster antics, not reallysomething he can DO in subrbia, are traded in for a dry sarcasm, while I went into daffy already. THe result is comedy gold as everyone is remagined a bit to fit this new environment. The only one really changed is lola and while I do like the original , I like this more fleshed out version whose no less attractive, but fits in better. Granted the stalking bit dosen't work well but it's quickly dropped and only really cued up for We are in Love. It's still not GREAT but they do tone it down and recognzied maybe stalking isn't funny just because it's a woman on a man. Overall one of the best eras of looney tunes and it's sad they felt they had to walk it back.
Thundercats 2011: Not bad, don't remember it that well.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series: Aya: I have a soft spot for robots (or ai's in this case) learning to be more human. As for the show itself it's pretty good. Not the best thing i've seen and having the anti montior be big bad of season 2 just felt.. weird. While he is related to the green lanterns for his role in the sinsestro corps war he still feels a bit TOO big of a threat to just plop into one heroes show with no other heroes showing up. Still a solid show with good animation.
Teen Titans Go: Robin who orginally irtated me for being nothing like his teen titans counterpart.. then entertains me because he's such a dick. He also got a decent arc in the movie. The show itself.. is eh. I've watched it a few times. I originally hated it but that was more for the fact they orginally did not make it clear that no, this isn't the same continuity and then made pot shots at the old show because fans of something entirely didn't.. didn't like this. Versus brave and the bold who took shots at fans.. who didn't want a lighter and softer batman that was clearly in it's own continuity. With time i've cooled on it, and don't hat eit.. but I don't really like it either. It's just kinda there. I appricate them bringing back freakazoid, freakazoid, and their weird creative swings and the movie is okay, but I just can't get into it. The characters just aren't that funny and while not aimed at me, i'm well aware (though with a nice amount of dc cameos), it still could be funnier and it's telling my niece and nephew kinda just.. forgot about it with time. It has some strengths but just not enough to make me check out mroe than I have.
Beware the Batman: Magpie because I like the rework. As for the show itself I didn't get to see enough to really judge it, as we dropped out of cable around this time. I should go back if it's anywhere to watch. That said what I saw was decent.. nothing amazing, but nothing terrible. It's the second series to try following an earlier batman. Now the third overall. And it does try to have it's own identity using more obscure rogues and katana as a main character, both novel ideas (and apparently also building up to the outsiders as a whole).. but frankly I feel if they wanted to go the outsdiers direction it woudl've made more sense to just do batman and the outsiders, as while a batman team up show just happened batman having his own full team that isn't the batfamily but is under him so far hasn't been done in animation. It felt like it wanted to be btas but also didn't want to be btas, something the other two young batman shows i've seen don't have: The Batman goes for a more action oriented show over the mood and atmosphere of btas while Caped Crusader goes for scummier crooks, leans harder into the 40s having a similar vibe (from similar creators) but it's own stuff btas , the batman and bwtb couldn't do. It's not a horrible show, but it's one that feels misguided, trying hard ot be diffrent than the previous three shows, without actually being all that diffrent. The only thing it had was focusing on more obscure foes, and even that novelty didn't quite pan out.

Can you tell us more about the dancing fighting style that Jeyra and the fae use? Is it rare for humans to learn it?
Valethra, meaning "Flow of Life" in the Fae tongue, is the ancient and highly revered fighting style practiced by the most elite Fae warriors. Known for its grace, fluidity, and precision, it is more than just a combat technique—it is a physical expression of the Fae's deep connection to their land, ancestors, and the natural world. Every movement in Valethra is carefully calculated and perfectly timed, with each strike, parry, and counter flowing seamlessly into the next. Its emphasis is not on brute strength but agility, elegance, and the ability to turn one's body into a weapon through sheer skill and control.
At its core, Valethra relies on the Fae's connection to the Weave, a subtle and pervasive magical network that links all Fae. The Weave allows Fae to faintly sense the emotions, movements, and intentions of others. This connection enhances their ability to move in tandem, creating a natural synchronization that makes them formidable opponents when fighting alongside one another. In battle, squads of Fae warriors connected through the Weave move almost as though they can anticipate each other's actions before they happen. It’s not telepathy—but more like a shared understanding, a flow of magic and training that allows them to fight as a cohesive unit.
However, Valethra reaches its true potential when paired with the Aevira—a sacred blood bond formed between two Fae who have undergone a ritual known as the Binding of Souls. Unlike the Weave, which connects all Fae, the Aevira is a personal and unbreakable link that binds two people in ways beyond the ordinary (even by Fae standards). This bond allows them to share emotions, thoughts, physical sensations, and even a more profound sense of each other's will and intent (even across distances, though it weakens to eventual silence the farther separated the duo is). When bonded in the Aevira, warriors move in perfect harmony, each anticipating the other's actions as if they were extensions of their bodies. Their movements are instinctive as if they share a single mind—a rare and powerful synergy that elevates them to unparalleled combat effectiveness.
When two Fae share the Aevira in battle, they become more than allies; they become an inseparable force of will. Their movements are so in tune that they can anticipate each other’s every move, with the bond heightening their senses and reactions in ways the Weave alone cannot. In contrast to the Weave’s broad, communal connection, the Aevira creates a personal and exclusive union that makes them nearly invincible together—an ultimate union of blood, mind, and magic.
However, the Aevira bond is not without its cost. If one of the blood partners dies, the survivor is left with a deep and unbearable loss. The pain is felt as though part of their very soul has been torn away, and many survivors are left emotionally shattered, unable to continue fighting or even living. (In some intense bonds, the death of one member has killed the other) Aevira, while powerful, makes the loss devastating.
Jeyra has mastered Valethra despite being human (one of only a trio in history). Known for her speed, precision, and deadly efficiency in battle, Jeyra's ability to move with the grace of the Fae results from years of disciplined training, honed during her time serving as emissary to the Fae. She has adopted elements of the Fae fighting style and made it her own, blending her human strength with the fluidity of Valethra. Though she does not fight with an Aevira bond partner, Jeyra’s combat prowess is unmatched, and she uses the style to outmaneuver and overwhelm opponents, especially in one-on-one duels. It is said that she moves as though she can anticipate her enemies' actions before they even make them, a skill that has earned her respect across the kingdom and amongst the Fae who faced her during the war. While her movements might seem instinctual to those who watch, they are the result of years of rigorous training and a near-obsessive dedication, something she is trying to instill in MC.

Exposed: The Secret Dominion of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Morgans 💥
Prepare to uncover the startling reality behind the world's most influential families and their immense control over the global economy. The Federal Reserve Cartel, consisting of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Morgans, wields unprecedented power that extends well beyond the realm of oil.
Imagine this: The Four Horsemen of Banking, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo, unite with the Four Horsemen of Oil, such as Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, BP, and Chevron Texaco. Yet, their dominion doesn't stop there. Through an intricate web of private banks, they have expanded their influence to encompass the music industry. These colossal entities, along with Deutsche Bank, BNP, Barclays, and other European old money giants, hold the reins of the music industry, allowing them to shape its trajectory and exert their influence.
The Machiavellian machinations of the Rockefeller dynasty reach far and wide, commencing with their commercialization of music in the early 1900s. They orchestrated a sinister plot to shift the world's standard tuning of music to 440 pitch. This insidious frequency was known to provoke heightened aggression, psychosocial agitation, emotional distress, and even physical ailments. Behind closed doors, this manipulation resulted in financial gains for those complicit in the monopoly, including agents, agencies, and companies associated with the North American Rockefeller crime cartel and influential organizations.
Fast forward to the late 1980s when the Rockefellers summoned top music executives and artists to a highly clandestine meeting in Los Angeles. Their sinister agenda? To usher in the era of Controlled Rap Music, intricately linked to the privatization of U.S. prisons. These privately owned prisons, operated by the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Bush family, and other influential figures, served as money laundering operations, tax exemption schemes, and pyramid scheme enterprises.
Crafting a deceitful plan, the Rockefellers aimed to control the rap industry and target black communities by promoting violent music that fueled oppression and civil unrest. They brought together leading executives and prominent black artists, binding them with strict confidentiality agreements. Their objective was clear: orchestrate violence within the rap music movement while major record labels secured exclusive rights for production and distribution across the United States. In return, they would receive shares and points within the private prison systems.
The Masonic scheme unfolded with precision, resulting in over 1,500 private prison systems incarcerating more than 1 million black teenagers by 1990. These vulnerable youths, expressing the generational trauma imposed upon them, unknowingly contributed to the Rockefellers' malevolent plan. The private prison systems reaped billions annually from the government, establishing an extensive money laundering network through inflated products, such as ramen noodles priced at 8 times their actual value. The flow of hundreds of billions from government funding, pyramid schemes, and insurance companies transformed prison privatization into a multi-trillion-dollar enterprise.
Local courts and judges mercilessly sentenced petty criminals and first-time offenders, filling the expanding private prisons. Consequently, the United States holds the unfortunate record for the highest number of incarcerated individuals in the world, with an unprecedented number of prisons. This was not a coincidence—it was a meticulously orchestrated plan by the Rockefellers.
But their influence doesn't stop there.
As the true faces of those who wield global authority are revealed, the Rothschilds and Rockefellers find themselves targeted by military alliance operations aiming to dismantle the Rothschilds' deep state power in Europe, the UK, Russia, and China.
