Was that what the last several years were deemed to be remembered in his past? Excitement?

He seemed to remember Miss Wynter then; she'd spoken but he'd hardly felt the two of them were aware of one another's presence. She was forced to keep him company - his bad leg preventing him from keeping up with the main garden party - and in a way he hated her for being forced to extend pity to him. He would've preferred to remain here alone.

The recruitment committee at the University of Silesia responded to it with enthusiasm. I'll write more about this in a long article for Znak. Thanks to the dynamism of Prof. Marecki, I’m also part of a research team working on the Atari computer, and there’s another Kraków-based writer in the group (haha, maybe she'll brag about it herself). So, things are happening. You’re right that there’s no time for sadness—it’s better to express it in a beautiful or at least interesting way.
