This is another page for the zine I'm working on!! Sort of. The words will be different, but the original didn't make sense out of context so I just slapped a quote in there. Chatting about art selections + no words version under the cut.

All of these images (except Kim!) were taken from the National Gallery of Art's website. I believe the filters I had on were Baroque, Renaissance, Rococo, and Romantic, but I don't entirely remember. Feel free to ask me about anything that catches your eye! The halo is taken from the Gothic work of 'Saint James Mahor' by Simone Martini. My main goal was to just find classical or renaissance paintings that I thought looked related to the Dolorian Church or just kind of had those vibes. My own personal favorites are the gutted pig (ha. get it), the dog and the bird, and the haloed lady in the top right. I found a lot of good stuff though!

The true unsung hero of this collage is its background. This is 'Berlin Abstraction' by Marsden Hartley. My main criteria in finding a background were that I wanted it to be abstract and I wanted it to be by a queer artist. (Also not too modern.) The messier parts of Kim that he keeps under that veil of composure. As an added bonus, 'Berlin Abstraction' depicts a lot of military imagery as well, specifically showing the overlap of these two identities of being queer and a soldier or RCM. I was really pleased to find it!

For the first time, Disney presents a new storytelling podcast featuring the beloved world of Frozen. Reunite with your favorite characters and meet new friends as Anna and Elsa work with a neighboring Queen to solve a mystery in the Enchanted Forest.

Synopsis

Queen Anna has a lot on her plate. She has welcomed Disa, the Queen of the small neighboring nation and her people to Arendelle when their kingdom is flooded. Disa is eager to learn about the scientific nature of magic.

Also in Arendelle is Lord Wolfgang, the Duke of Weselton’s nephew, on an apology tour for his uncle’s behavior. He very much wants to secure Queen Anna’s forgiveness and hopes to convince the people of Arendelle of the merits of trade with Weselton.

When a mysterious fire happens at the castle and the Spirits of Nature start acting up Elsa, Anna, and Disa travel to the Enchanted Forest to uncover the cause, where they discover mysterious steam-powered copper machines: automatons.

Where do the automatons come from and what are they doing? Who is directing them? Most importantly, how do Elsa, Anna, and Disa stop them from upsetting the natural balance of the Enchanted Forest and Arendelle?

Happy WIP Wednesday, I am optimistic that I will keep this chapter under 10k and get it up by 11/20, the canon event it shares some connective tissue with.

It didn't matter what either of them wanted. Akechi's orders would still be waiting for him when he left the Metaverse and Ren's blood vanished from his hands. With Sakura, all he had done was screw himself out of the buffering distance of a mental shutdown. What was he supposed to do now? Break into her bedroom and smother her with a pillow? Lie and hope that her continued existence as a shut-in might go unnoticed? Go back to Shido with his tail between his legs and explain that he let another target slip away, right after he had sworn that it would never happen again, and hope Shido decided that he was still worth more squeezed than slaughtered? Ren's wrist wriggled in his grasp. He growled and tightened his hold. "I think you're not being honest with yourself," Ren said, with the reckless panache of a man who had the knot of a noose under his ear and nothing to lose by heckling the hangman. "I think if nothing else really mattered to you, I would have been dead the minute we ended up in Futaba's Palace." "Shut the fuck up!" No, Akechi needed him to keep talking, keep antagonizing until something snapped and his throat was wet shreds between Akechi's fingers.

I’m sooooo looking forward to the new 3tan chapter tonight! I’ll have to read it in the morning here in lil old England but it will be first thing on my list as soon as my eyes are open!

I was just wondering, do you know what the total word count is for 3tan as it stands atm? I’m so curious to know how long it is overall, it reads so much better than some books I’ve read lately and I’d much rather have a copy of 3tan on my shelf!! 😂

omg thank you, love! yes, please read whenever you are free to do so, no worries on when you do :D as far as the total word count... i think with this addition we're gonna be at 271,688 words😂😂😂 oh my goodness and there is still a lot more to go!

physical copies are coming, i promise :')) since i'm also working on a bangtan coloring book too there's a lot of samples that have to be made before i can decide what to do with both things. but i'm aiming to get them to y'all for the holidays this year so YAYYY we do have a goal!

Finished tidying up the bookshelves! I did some mild rearranging, mainly combining the TBR books and read books. Also did a big clean-out of any books I don't think I'll reread, and now I have 2.5 empty shelves!
