Harry just understood at 19 that if he wanted his career to be going somewhere after one direction he shouldn’t be hanging out with people like Liam or Louis. He was especially close with zayn and after he left (and seemed to have started a decent career too at that point) Harry was mostly hanging with Niall when he was at work. He was close with the azoffs since 2013. He was besties with nick grimshaw who was also a decent guy with decent connections and a stable career in 2012. Harry made Stevie Nicks a carrot cake in order to get more in contact with her and now has a very special friendship with her which both of them take benefits from. You can tell, Harry makes deliberate choices when it comes to the people he works with. He doesn’t work or is even friends with people who aren’t hard working, smart, talented or in any way a good influence. And I think it’s out of the question that Louis a bad influence in every sense of the world. And Harry is just really kind and humble and everybody confirms it after meeting him how an amazing person he is. Meanwhile, Louis just get in fights with people all the time especially when he was in the band. And it’s those people who now refuse to work with him and also don’t recommend him to other good people in the industry. Louis also never had an interest in expanding his connections or his little group of people he’s close with and only works with his best friends from childhood who tell him what he wants to hear, who look up to him because he is so rich and famous but who can teach him nothing about his job or give him good advice. Harry was always looking for exactly those kind of people. People he can learn from, people who can bring him to a better place and help him push his career. He doesn’t want reassurance, he wants inspiration. He has the right idols to look up to and of course he brings the talent. Which louis doesn’t have.

👏👏👏 It speaks volumes that Louis doesn't have any celebrity friends. Even his idol Liam Gallagher failed to show up at the aotv premiere.

no idea if that anon is black, but I am! and to note:

we are all aware here white privilege exists, and harry benefits. on average, harry would be assumed to be nice by just existing.

that’s not we’re talking about here.

multiple people have gone beyond saying harry is “nice” or “polite.” if you bothered to watch the eternals clip, you would notice specifically two women of color, salma and lauren, sing his praises. salma says she loves being around him so much, she thinks of him as a “distant Mexican cousin you’re still so close to because they’re so warm.” lauren mentions specifically how kind and thoughtful he is. in another interview she mentions that he was specifically thoughtful and intuitive when it came to accommodations she’d need because she was deaf, and was ready to step in.

there is a pattern of people saying “oh I remember harry styles, he went above and beyond my expectations.” so many people share specific anecdotes on how he made them feel seen, or stepped in to help, or surprised them with how kind he was. meaning, on top of people assuming he’s nice, they were STILL surprised how kind he was. it’s beyond politeness. and it’s consistent.

the only people who say otherwise are miserable people on here, who are mad about things of their own invention.
