They change colours, they're usually not so easy to identify.

Gherkin is a bit frightened so s/he's hunched her back a little - they're still settling in.

They're so sweet though, and feel weird to handle

Got a new light and reworking on the Eurydactylodes vivariums after all this time...

Vladimir and Estragon are still with me, Didi just turned 7 years old and Gogo 6 years old this past spring.

Sadly all their plants died over time from very bad life and mental health crisis, but the boys are perking up again, getting consistent care over the past couple months. Just replaced their UVB light and got some new plants and fresh substrate, cleaner crews to freshen things up.

When it's all said and done I'll take pictures again. It's been a long time. These boys got me through so much... I'm glad they're still in my life. <3

Bob the Chameleon Gecko

Bob, my pet Chameleon Gecko (Eurydactlyodes agricolae), peeking around in his curious way! Here's Bob, with his fired-up coloration showing all kinds of near-black patterning, yellow-tinged flanks, and white underbelly, in a vague rendition of my setup of his enclosure, complete with pothos and mopani branch in front of the Exo-Terra false tree background! He's a very interactive and inquisitive little dude, and often peeks at me sideways like this when I'm in the same room as his enclosure. His tail usually doesn't wrap around stuff quite like that, but it could, and he does use it as a grip when climbing around, often! He also uses it as a level when jumping, which is super cool! For this one, I wanted to practice backgrounds, so I made a lineless "pseudo-still-life" of some key elements of Bob's enclosure, which I'm pretty proud of! I also wanted to take a stab at a layered texture like you see on Bob here, and I think I captured his essential details quite effectively! His yellow details are especially striking when he gets fired up, but that inverse-reticulated pattern is really awesome too, and I'm glad how it appears here. This took 5 hours from start to finish, and I'm calling this an unmitigated win! If you like what I do, consider supporting me on Patreon! Vieillard's Chameleon Geckos (Eurydactylodes vieillardi)

Yes, these little guys are as teensy as they look! Jaws and Rex have been together for a little over a year now, I haven't had many eggs out of them, but they're both doing well and I don't mind them taking their time! Chameleon Geckos are terribly charming and adorable little animals. It's rare that a gecko this small is so mellow.
