Free artist's tutorials that have helped me!

Ethan Becker, He's helped me get through my art block many times! I'd say this one is good for young artists or artist who are struggling and feeling low.

Proko is good for intermediate artists who want to practice specific sections of their art: so like, want to get better at body proportions, etc. Proko is good for everyday quick sketches.

Lastly, my 3 faves are:

Angel Ganev. He makes comedic and really good tips and tricks videos for specific things. If you're looking for a quick fix in one of your drawings. Like you're trying really hard to draw eyes, lips, etc, and you're strugling to find a video on that, you can find it with Angel!

Sinix Design he's really good at simplifing tough art with ideas you can use in your own stress-free way. He's also really good at talking and helping you de-stress about your art, and has a relaxing voice to listen to, so that also helps. So he's also one of my favs!

Marco Bucci is for advanced artists I'd say. I'm not to his level yet but I like watching his videos to give myself a goal. I want to be like him one day <3

I’m trying to get better at drawing myself, particularly faces so I’m trying to draw arcane screenshots. I’m wondering if there’s a better method to my madness? I’m worried that I’m gonna get stuck continuously drawing it badly.

Idk if this makes any sense but basically any advice to help draw faces better would be greatly appreciated :)

Youre welcome! Doing studies is a really great place to start and studying arcane has helped me a lot with 3d planes and stylisation, so imo youre on the right track.

For me learning how professional artists/artists i admire structure faces is really helpful, because there are actually loads of different ways (other than the classic circle, line down the middle, horizontal line for the eyes) to do that. So try to find speedpaints or tutorials or maybe sketch reels, anything like that where you can see the process. Copy the guidelines they use. Eventually you kind of work out your own method, for example i draw the ears in as early as possible bc it helps me place everything else.

I posted about this before but you can use a triangle as a guideline for all the features like this ⤵️

Although the third image is kind of incorrect and the top of the triangle should be lower down.

But ya just keep going, you WILL improve eventually even if you dont think you are right now. Also do tonal studies they help a lot with understanding 3 dimensionality and planes and stuff, which will give your lines more purpose. Also the end of the nose is a lot closer to the eyes than you think? Idk i've always had a habit of drawing faces too long because of the nose and its not an issue if its intentional but yk. Learn the rules in order to break them etc.
