I saw you wanted headcanons and I need to make BSD sickfic friends so let’s fuckin’ goooo

okay so a few days ago you made that "akutagawa mistaking atsushi for dazai in a fevered delirium and leaving him wondering what he doesn't know" post (yes, I did go back to deliberately copy & paste) but have you considered:

established sskk where a sick and delirious akutagawa hears atsushi mention dazai for whatever reason and immediately goes into threat mode, staggering to his feet and grabbing his coat so he can protect himself, looking absolutely terrified, and when atsushi asks what he’s doing aku says something like “you didn’t do anything wrong. he can hurt me instead.”

needless to say atsushi has questions. but those questions will probably have to wait until he can get his partner out of cornered-animal mode and into bed because poor boy looks like he’s about to collapse on the spot

(I’m so nervous sending this and I’m worried it’s terrible but I also had a hard day so I am PUSHING THROUGH in hopes of making someone else’s bad day better)

OH MY GODDDDD PLEASE THIS IS SO GOOD..... combination of all my favorite things I love aku just being so so fucking terrified but he will do whatever it takes to keep atsushi safe and he just wants him to go back to bed 😭😭 he has to like physically drag him back and reassure him constantly that everythings okay, no one is going to hurt either of them, but aku will not let atsushi out of his sight for the rest of the night. Eventually atsushi just lays down with him and akutagawa holds him so so tight because he's worried if he lets go he'll get hurt somehow 💔💔💔 god they hurt me so bad
