About the New Years Resolution to eat a dish from every country: How are you gonna decide what dishes to eat from a country? Did you make a kind of plan for this or will you just freestyle it?
Do you need/want suggestions?
I am totally going to freestyle it! I decided on doing this just this morning, haha. I don't have an order picked out or anything but I am pretty sure my first dish will be American food 😂 and my second will be a dish from Mexico (omg, perfect opportunity to go get mole *drools*).
My thought is that I will try to eat a notable or signature dish from each country, but if all else fails I will just eat something I know is traditional or common in that country. It will be whenever the opportunity presents itself and if it's a country that doesn't have a lot of restaurants/groceries/local friends in my area, I will attempt to make it myself!
I would LOVE suggestions! 😍

Country #6 for Erssi’s Dish Challenge is: Czechia!
Buřtgulaš (sausage goulash) is less commonly known than goulash with beef and steamed bread, but it is equally tasty!

For your new years resolution:
when you get to austria I higly recommend you either try Kaiserschmarn or Käsespätzle
Kaiserschmarn is like a big pancake but broken up into pieces and you eat it with apple sauce and I feel this could be possible to make yourself without too much effort
Käsespätzle are these little dough ball thingies idk how to translate them with chesse and often onions on them and I personally prefer these but I feel when it comes to getting a cheese that works for this and the actual making process they would be harder to make
These are just my personal favorites, there's a bunch of other really good food you could make
Ooooh the pancake one sounds great! I could definitely make them. Cheeses are hard to translate between cuisines but if I make it to Austria this year I will absolutely try Käsespätzle!
Thank you for the recommendation because otherwise I would have just eaten schnitzel. 😅

Oh my goodness those are GREAT resources! Thank you so much!
And yes, I am definitely planning some of those "dishes" to be pre-packaged snacks. There's a good international shop in the city close to me so I can get some fun chips/chocolate/gummies/etc.
