#Eric admitted and was shown embezzling money from Starlight Music

The financial situation in Jem doesn't make sense because every other episode they're stressing about "if this album or concert isn't a success, we'll lose Starlight Music and the Starlight Mansion" and yes, it does take quite a lot of money to run a record company, a charitable organization, and taking care of 13 foster girls plus themselves.
But at the same time, every other episode also shows the Holograms insanely successful in almost everything they do. All their concerts immediately sell out. All their albums go straight to number one.
Shana designs clothes that are on the runways of Milan and Paris. Kimber does a solo album with Stormer and it goes double-platinum (in the US, going platinum happens when you sell 1 million copies).
Jem stars in a movie that is not only a box-office smash (Jerrica's 1st share of the profits is $250,000) but she also gets nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars.
What I'm saying is, the amount of success and profits they're pulling in alone (Starlight Music is shown and implied to have other musicians in their catalogue) should be more than enough to cover all these expenses and then some. So where is the money going?
#Jem#Jem and the Holograms#Fandom chit chats#Like at the start of the show there was a legit reason for them being so on the verge of bankruptcy#Eric admitted and was shown embezzling money from Starlight Music#After he gets the boot... what is going on in that company#Jerrica is straight as an arrow we see her do taxes and whatnot. She runs that place like the Navy.#Like what is happening here. Girl I think someone's skimming from the till under Jerrica's nose 💀
