Marina Bay Sands Epicurean Market 2015

Marina Bay Sands Epicurean Market is an annual food and wine festival featuring some of the best gourmet ingredients at the Farmer’s Market, tasting sessions for a wide range of beverages, F&B booths managed by nine celebrity restaurants located at Marina Bay Sands, and over 30 free masterclasses by renowned chefs such as Chef Tetsuya Wakuda (Waku Ghin), Chef Nancy Silverton (Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza), and Chef Justin Quek (Sky on 57).

Here are some my highlights for the 3rd annual Epicurean Market from 14 August to 16 August 2015:

I was fortunate to be able to attend a couple of masterclasses, and learn the history, the stories, and the people behind some of my favourite beverages and food.

Nespresso was one of the most popular booths at the festival as it offered three special concoctions available only at the Epicurean Market:

- Brazil Tropicana: Espresso origin Brazil Grand Cru, Peach Puree Cream, Garnished with Rum-soaked Peach Quart.

- Indian Chocolata: Rist Retto Origin India Grand Cru, Kahlua, Rum, Milk and Chocolate Sauce, Garnished with Dark Chocolate Sprinkle.

- Espresso: Nespresso Grand Cru Coffee, Drizzled with Brown Sugar Syrup, Specially designed by Chef Tetsuya Wakuda of award winning Waku Ghin.

In my opinion, the Epicurean Market is great for its masterclasses and its F&B booths managed by Marina Bay Sand’s celebrity restaurants. It is a perfect compliment to Savour, another annual F&B festival held during March, which features tons of free masterclasses, tasting sessions, F&B booths, and an enormous Farmer’s Market.
